Flashbulb-like Effect

Hi, I am trying to do a photo montage, and I was wondering how I could make a flashbulb-like effect transition from one picture to the other. Is there a way to do a flashing white light? Thanks for your help in advanced!

Download the "flashframe" effect... it's great! Looks more like a flash bulb than the matte flash. If you like it, please don't be shy about sending a donation to the guy!

  • How to turn the surround-sound-like effect off with headphones?

    When I plug in the headphones into my ipad I notice the sound in the headphones becomes kinda surround-like. For instance I clearly hear keyboard clicks "at a distance" in front of me when using headphones. This "effect" is nice for keyboard clicks but totally ruins any music listening experience because any song gets distorted and is perceived at some distance when played. This becomes extremely annoying when listening to mono content. The special sound processing applied to get this surrround-like sound effect adds artefacts into the sound, please let me know how to turn this off Apple, I couldn't find any option in the settings.
    Overall, I couldn't even imagine I'd get such an annoying and unprofessional effect applied by default without a possibility to turn it off. If I knew that in advance I'd never buy my ipad since currently it's not possible to listen to music with it

    vvtrus, did you ever consider that turning off the clicks or other sounds might have an effect? So, before telling people who want to help you that an answer makes no sense to you, you might first try it.
    Since hearing and listening to music is a very subjective matter which also depends on the quality of the headphones you use, it might be the case that you hear on your iPod something that you couldn't hear on your laptop and portable music player (both of non-apple design). Then you should blame those other devices to deliver you such poor sound. On the other hand, you might have a better hearing than other people which might give you the impression of surround-sound-like effects -- in which case we can't help you either.
    Anyway, there are no settings to turn on or off "surround sound effects".

  • Pacman Like Effect (Left Side To Right Side)

    I would like a pacman like effect when the character goes outside of the left side of the game window then they come from the right side of the window. My character can only move left and right so they would be using the same left and right parts of the window. I need help on the actionscript for this i am using 2.0 on flash 5

    Thanks a lot for your continued support, it means a lot.
    After a bit of error work-arounds I'll show you my code, because while there are no errors it doesn't seem to work. My character just goes endlessly off the left of the screen.
    onClipEvent (load)
        speed = 4;
    onClipEvent (enterFrame)
        if (Key.isDown(39))
            this._x = this._x + speed;
        } // end if
        if (Key.isDown(37))
            this._x = this._x - speed;
        } // end if
    character._x -= 3
    if(character._x < leftboundaryX) {       // check if it stepped over the boundary
         character._x = rightboundaryX; }  // if so, move it across to the other side

  • Loupe-like effect for video

    Anyone know how to do a loupe-like effect within a video clip? I want to created zoomed in areas within the larger frame--like you see on Apple application instructional dvd's. Round, rather then rectangular.
    Thanks for any leads to other apps or plugins.

    D.Glen,
    PT's right on the money. Slick volume 8 ($70) is the one that I think you're looking for. It has several interesting plugins, Picture-in-Picture Pro is the one that allows you to positon, scale and choose between 28 mask to apply to a graphic or video clip. You can also adjust the graphic/video opacity. Excellent effect with a lot of adjustments available.
    Don't let the $70 throw you Slick volume 8 also comes with 10 other useful plugins .
    I'll briefly highlight the Slick Motion II plugin that comes bundled with volume 8.
    If you ever had problems panning/zooming over a graphic/photo ala "iMovies Ken Burns effect", this could be your answer (no jagged edges, no restriction with graphic (width/height) dimensions, etc.
    This plugin produces great quality video, allows multiple key frames over a curve motion path, ease in/out and constant speed options. The only caveat is you can only animate one graphic at a time.
    If I didn't already own "StillLife ($25)" or "Photo to Movie $50" this would be my preferred method of preparing Graphics/photos for iMovie.
    Heck, I could have saved $75 with just this one plugin if I had actually played around with it (first version) when I purchased Slick volume 4 several years ago. Although, in "Slick Motion version I" you only had 2 (pan/zoom) keyframe postions "Start and End" like "iMovie Ken Burn's effect".
    The other 9 plugins are pretty "Slick" too (pardon the pun).
    If you're interested, you can browse the volume 8 gallery of effects.

  • How would I create old, glitchy like effects like these ones?

    Recently, there have been some teasers coming out on Snap-chat for an upcoming video game that feature some creepy, hypnotic, and cool effects. They can be found here:
    Black Ops 2 has been updated with viral marketing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 - UPDATE 12 | Charlie INTEL
    And I was wondering if there were any experts on here who would know how to recreate these things in premiere. For instance that overlay over the video, those lines over the video, that make it look almost like its a CRT TV screen being externally filmed. Or the static etc.
    If anyone could link me to other assets that I can use to just mess up video and make it look, I don't know, any type of visual artifacting or 80s/90s video tropes/effects, or even earlier. I'm open to anything. I'm attempting to make this film into a very similar style as those quick teasers.
    Also I do understand that I am limiting things here by making this a premiere thing. But I am a completely lost child trying to land on the moon when it comes to After Effects, so keep this premiere please. I do understand this kind of limits this stuff to mostly overlays or presets or other things that are for the most part already created. But im open to anything.
    Thanks and I hope you guys have some good ideas.

    to further encourage your creativity:
    you can also export screenshots of your video and manipulate them, then reimport them and play with blending modes and/or mattes...
    Did you know that you can manipulate and distort image files by opening them in a text or audio editor?
    (for the latter you may have to change the file extension to .txt or another text format... then back to .tiff or jpg)

  • Is it possible to make GLaDOS like effect?

    Hi there
    I must admit, that I never use Audition. It comes with the bundle, and I thtough, I would give it a go for a change.
    Would any of you happen to know, if it's possible to modify my sound files to make them sound like GLaDOS from Portal?
    I genereate my voice files using Mac's text-to-speach feature.
    I would appreciate any suggestions.
    regards
    Mona

    I must admit that I had to Google GLaDOS to hear an example--I'd never hear of her before your post.
    However, having had a listen, I'd have to say that at least half the effect is the actress speaking in an artificial sounding mechanical rhythm.  You'd think that this would make the text-to-speech idea--but, in fact, Apple are doing their best to make that sound real, NOT artificial.  This, plus the lack of control you'll have (you can't direct a Mac like you can an actress) makes the success of your project luck of the draw.
    As MusicConductor says, the electronic part of the effect sounds like it's done with some form of pitch corrector...Autotune or similar.  Audition has a built in pitch corrector but whether it'll give the same sound...and whether the sound will work without an actress speaking in the proper cadence...will be a matter of experimenting.

  • Watery-like effect in the screen

    I just bought this computer, my first mac, last friday. I absolutely love it, but my screen seems to have some strange defect in it. Whenever the screen shakes at all, an area near the top right of the screen jiggles like water. Kind of like the effect when you press something against the screen, but not. I think the best way to describe it is like water. It's quite noticeable, being about 2 inches in length, and about a cm deep - it just jiggles when the screen shakes. Has anybody heard or have this problem. Would I be able to get it replaced or something?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    This does not sound normal to me, nor have I heard of this phenomenon. There is a "liquid" effect when you add a widget, but it should not be a part of your regular display. You should speak to Apple about this.
    Good luck!

  • How to make a strobe-like effect on my videos?

    Hey guys, I'm kind of a noob at iMovie, but I'm putting a guitar cover on youtube, and want to put somekind of strobe effect on it, whether it be with brightness or colors. Think of it like the video of me playing, and the strobe on top of it. Is there anyone who could help me achieve this? Thanks!

    The way to do this is to use a fast fade through white transition between clips.
    For example see [this video by Mads Dreier|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO0D0lVzYro]

  • How to create a Zoom like effect?

    Hello,
    I have a Pane right now that I am drawing lines inside of. Its actually drawing coordinates coming back from my hardware device (a cnc controller).
    What I would like to be able to do is mouse wheel in (or out) and only see a portion of the pane. Scaling does not seem to fit my need. Perhaps there is nothing out there like this? I am sorry if this is not clear. Here is a picture of my GUI.
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/rileyporter/8451829160/in/photostream
    The pane is the red dashed outline. I would like to place my mouse say over the top of the green line... Mouse wheel up and have the red dashed lines stay where they are at, however only seeing the top of the green line filling the whole red dashed outline. I am not sure what / how to achieve this effect.
    Does that make sense?

    Scaling does not seem to fit my need.Why not?
    Can you describe in more detail what you tried, how you implemented it, how it behaved and how that behaviour differed from what you need?
    Perhaps supplying a simple, sample test case of executable code as well might help get your question answered.

  • Create an "iBeer" like effect in AS3 for iOS

    Hi, I need a code to do something like the "iBeer" application on the App Store.
    (if you don't know what is iBeer, check out on You-Tube to see some videos)
    Is there a way to do this in AS3 with Flash CS5.5 and AIR 2.6 ?
    Thank you
    Brandon

    Hey Brandon
    Altho it would be very convenient, there simply isn't a tutorial for every feature on mobile devices. I have learned that through countless hours of seaching, for various projects. What i came to find is that in the long run, i learn much more by figuring out what flash-feature (class) i need to use, and then experiment my way to what works.
    My suggestion is that you play around with the Accelerometer-class and see how you can make objects move according to its data.
    Here is some sample code that make a MovieClip move on an AccelerometerEvent:
    import flash.sensors.Accelerometer;
    import flash.events.AccelerometerEvent;
    var my_acc:Accelerometer = new Accelerometer();
    avatar = new Avatar();
    avatar.x = 160;
    avatar.y = 380;
    avatar.cacheAsBitmap = true;
    addChild(avatar);
    my_acc.addEventListener(AccelerometerEvent.UPDATE, onAccUpdate);
    my_acc.setRequestedUpdateInterval(40);
    function onAccUpdate(e:AccelerometerEvent):void
    avatar.x -= (e.accelerationX*50);
    avatar.y += (e.accelerationY*50);
    Hope this open a door to som productive experimentation for you

  • Adobe Premiere Pro w/ Photoshop-like Effects

    Hello, I know I run the risk of sounding like a completely uninformed moronic n00b by asking this, however my girlfriend has been bugging me about it so as we all know what the woman wants the woman gets *except alimony, child support and respect...jk*
    She does modeling and has modeling videos that she provides to agencies, potential employers etc. Shes recently had a baby and has a C-section scar that shes very insecure about...in her photos she easily photoshops it to be lighter in pigment or sometimes covers/erases it completely. So my question is, is this possible to somehow do in Premiere Pro? I told her itd be possible to edit frame by frame, but who has that kind of time, considering a video would be about 30 seconds long, at 30 fps thats 900 still images. I get instant diarrhea just thinking about attempting that task.
    I was hoping there was some type of time saving, easy cool trick that I just dont know about. Again it is a video with her and the camera moving, its not a still image i can just apply a layer to an area of the video and apply to all frames, the scar is a moving target and I must see to it that it, as opposed to her, never works in this town again. Any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry for taking so long to get to the point and for my poorly placed humor. Thank you in advance,
    Josh
    Adobe Premiere Pro CS6
    Master  Collection

    You have some viable and some not viable options, some of which you had better put to your girlfriend out of throwing distance
    Rotoscope each individual frame
    Spend hours learning AE only to have the end result that looks like a Photoshop touched up image
    Be creative with the video techniques to avoid any shots of the offending area
    Light her so that the scar is not visible
    Get her to wear clothing that hides the scar (an probable impossible task)
    A pro make up artist will be able to mask the scar
    Develop a major fault with your NLE system so that the edit has to be done by an other guy (he takes the fall)
    Get her to wear the scar with pride, she is a Mom after all
    Change your girlfriend
    Sorry for the last but could not resist it
    Good luck

  • Exported film has ghost like effect on it

    Final Cut Pro X
    I've had this problem once before but I haven't found out how it's caused or how to prevent it.
    I exported the film using Source - Apple ProRes 422
    When I watched the film every time the person moved fast their outline doubled and was made out of lines.
    Any suggestions?

    It's interlaced. If you look at on a computer you'll see the interlacing. The format is designed for television display not computer display. You could try copying your edited program into a 1080p project and see how that looks.

  • IFrame like effect in Flash (AS)

    Hello friends, good afternoon!
    Some time ago I seek a solution to a difficult problem to solve.
    The situation is as follows: need to generate a SWF with a frame (element) of 800x600px websites that pull my choice.
    In HTML it is easy to do with the IFRAME command in Flash I can not do.
    This SWF will be used in an LED on the main avenue of the city to my disclosure of weather forecasts, tweets with a certain hashtag, and others who would be on the internet.
    Why should an SWF? For the program used to pass the videos (which are in SWF) in the LED, only performs this extension.
    What commands do I use?
    How can I solve this problem?
    I am awaiting a response.
    I thank you.

    it's difficult to understand what you want because of a language barrrier.

  • Creating an effect - sort of Star Trek-like tractor beam effect

    I'm trying to come up with a way to make a particle effect that sort of looks like a tractor beam effect from Star Trek.
    I want a line or thin rectangle to be the particle. The particle itself wouldn't spread out or have any speed itself, but I'd like one end of each particle to all be at the same point, but the opposite end spread out in something like a 10-15 degree arc. Each particle would have a very short life....only .5 to .75 seconds each.....to give a feathery random  energy beam-like effect with a origin at one point but spreading out to cover an area.
    Does that description make any sense? Is there a way to do this?

    Do you mean something like this?

  • Lost ability to view Effects in Action Panel

    Adobe illustrator CS5 on Mac OS X 10.7.4.
    I used to be able to do something like effect->3d-> revolve, then go to the actions panel and bring up the 3D revolve, click on it and edit it again. Now, when I open the actions panel the simple 3d revolve is replace with a long long list of actions of course I can't bring up the 3d revolve effect and edit it.
    I have removed all of the Illustrator prefs in my library file; but, it still does it.
    How can I get this behavior back?

    Try the Appearance panel. Select the object with the 3D effect and it should show up there.
