Flat file assembler. Hexadecimal value XYZ, is an invalid character

Hi,
I'm trying to send file that contains base64-encoded string. With simple xml FTP sending - all works fine. But with flat file pipeline comes this error:
A message sent to adapter "FTP" on send port "....FlatFile" with URI "ftp://..../.../%SourceFileName%" is suspended.
Error details: There was a failure executing the send pipeline: "...., ....Pipelines, Version=1.0.0.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=.."
Source: "Flat file assembler"
Send Port: "MyFlatFile" URI: "ftp://.../.../%SourceFileName%" Reason: '', hexadecimal value 0x03, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 100.
Pipeline:
Is it impossible to do such operation on Biztalk?
Thank you!

Try to set the appropriate value to the "Target charset" property in the Flat file assembler component. This would solve your issue.

  • Hexadecimal value 0x10, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 228.

    getting started with Azure.
I installed VS2013, the Azure SDK for VS2013 and web deploy 3.5
following the steps on this post
    http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/web-sites-dotnet-deploy-aspnet-mvc-app-membership-oauth-sql-database/
When I try to deploy to a website created in Azure with DB, I get
    Error 1
'', hexadecimal value 0x10, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 228.
    The details:
    Transformed Web.config using C:\Projects\ContactManager\ContactManager\Web.Release.config into obj\Release\TransformWebConfig\transformed\Web.config.
Copying all files to temporary location below for package/publish:

I have tried uninstalling VS2013, the SDK and even web deploy and reinstalling them and that didn't help.
    One caveat:
when I try to deploy to a website created without DB, I get don't get the error above.
    any help appreciated
    UPDATE:
    Figured it out.
My DB Password had the "%" character. I guess that's not well handled by Visual Studio at the moment.
After removing the "%" character from my DB password, I was able to deploy again.

  • Exchange 2013 "Server Error in '/owa' Application" - System.Xml.XmlException: '.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1

Out of nowhere...literally this started happening to our standalone Exchange server / Domain Controller
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Standard
Problem Child: Microsoft Exchange Server 2013
Error: When i try to login to the OWA or ECP i receive the listed errors above.
OS and Exchange installed on C:\
    Mailbox Databases installed on D:\
    Mailbox Logs on E:\
Outlook is still working for the end-user, but Outlook Web Access, ECP and all other features required to make this server manageable are failing. I can access the login screen, though at:
    https://<servername>/owa
    or
    https://<servername>/ecp
I have tried reset of virtual directories. Tried IISRESET /NOFORCE after this, but no success.

    Hi MRXennix,
Base on my research, the issue is caused by corrupted Killbit.xml file on "ClientAccess\owa\15.0.xxx.x\owa2\ext\killbit".
I recommend you refer to the following method to solved the issue:
    1. Remove the Killbit.xml file and restart IIS
    2. Install the latest CU builds of the exchange 2013.

  • When downloading itunes updates, i get an error that reads file folder for itunes media has an invalid character

The error message read "file folder iTunes media has invalid character".

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

  • XML Source error message hexadecimal invalid character

    Hi all
I am developing a SSIS package to add data from thousands of XML files to an existing SQL Server table.
And I get the error message:
The XML Source was unable to process the XML data. “”hexadecimal value 0x01 , is an invalid character.

So, How to use the SSIS package to solve this problem without using the other editor?

    1,2,3,
The last node of my XML is not formed and giving me mapping errors....How do I solve dis??
    Plz help
    Edited by: sriparna1 on Oct 20, 2010 12:34 PM

For comma seperated structures, the missing fiels are ignored.
Make sure you defined the endseperator.

  • Call Pipeline in orchestration for converting XML to flat file

    Hi ,
Can we call Pipeline in orchestration for converting XML to flat file ?
Or we have some another option for this task ?
    Prakash

    Hi,
You can refer this article from Abdul Rafay on how to work with Flat files and how to call receive and send pipelines within your orchestration. He
has provided detailed step by step explanation of the process.
    Calling Send and Receive Pipelines
    from the orchestration expression shapes
The code shared by Abdul at http://abdulrafaysbiztalk.wordpress.com/files/2009/06/processingflatfiles.doc (Change the extention to rar) and try it.
One common mistake I have seen people doing will working with Flat File Assembler is that they miss to set the Document schema property in the Properties
window to the flat file schema.
If the Document schema property is not specified, runtime schema discovery will be attempted. During schema discovery, BizTalk Server attempts
to determine the correct flat file schema to assemble the message with, based on the namespace and root node of the message, its added performance hit.

  • How to Map Idoc-Orders05 Qualifier permitted values to a flat file Str

    Hi All,
My scenario is IDoc-xi-flat file. I have a problem in mapping the respective qualifier value in IDoc to the flat file structure. I am using the function fix values in Message Mapping. Suggest how should the target field should look like to map to the qualifier.
    Thanks

    hi,
can you tell a little bit more on what are you trying to achive?
do you only need one qualifier in file or all or what?
can you use the same structure as in IDOC ?
    be a little more precise

I am not using the first line in the mappiing.
Are you saying that I need to ignore the first line while doing the conversion using Recordset OFFSET ?
Or do I need to make a single structure taking all the fields from header as well as details and while defining the structure I need to ignore the fields from header?
    Please suggest.

  • Dynamic Header Values in Flat File Destination

    Hi,
I have to put 'T' or 'P' as part of a header in a flat file destination. The header is sourced via a work table which defines what the header looks like. One of the columns should contain 'T' for test or 'P' for production. When the package is executed in
the test environment, 'T' should appear as part of the header. When the package is executed in the production environment, 'P' should appear as part of the header.
Any ideas on how to achieve this is very much welcome.
    Thanks,
    AJ

Package parameter indicating the environment and a DerivedColumn transform that generates a column with T or P depending on the parameter value.
