Flipping between browser windows using Swiss/French QWERTZ keyboard

When using an attached US keyboard I just use alt+` to flip between different windows when I'm using Safari, Firefox of Chrome... but when I'm away from the desk and using the laptop QWERZ keyboard I can't find the correct keystroke - can anyone advise? I just want to quickly scroll between the different browser windows I have open in just one application.

Do you have more than one language enabled in International?
You can use Keyboard Viewer to see the active/enabled keys.
I don't have the French/Swiss keyboard profile loaded at the moment.
[Command] + [Shift] + [Plus Sign] = that is the right curly brace above right square bracket on my US keyboard} works with my German keyboard profile enabled.

Placement of popup browser window using behavior

I am using the Open Browser Window behavior in Dreamweaver to show information in a popup window. My problem is that when the window comes up, the original page scrolls to the top of the page. This means that viewers have to scroll down the original page to get back to where they were after the close the popup window. Is there a way to prevent scrolling of the original page when the Open Browser Window behavior is used, or do I have to figure out how to do it with Javascript? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Close browser window using FPM

Hi all,
My requirement is to close the browser window on click of a button in the webdynpro component.
I have triggered FPM event gc_event_close in after action of that view.
The window gets closed perfectly if I execute the application from SE80.
But the window is not getting closed when I run the application from portal, instead I get a message saying' The application is closed, you can now close the window'
Any pointers on closing the browser window when the application is run from portal would be of great help.

I can confirm this behavior. You can change this behavior by adding code in process_event method.

Suddenly after running Firefox for years, I cannot open multiple browser windows using Windows XP.

I have always been able to open more than one browser windows, so I can have my email minimized while doing other tasks on one or more other browsing pages. All of a sudden, I can only open one browsing page. When I try to open a second, I get the red circle with a diagonal slash through it stopping me.

I have a JWS appln which would launch a URL in the browser using BasicService of JNLP API.
This URL is always launched in a new browser. Is it possible to launch this URL in the browser which launched the JWS appln?

Hmm...interesting you should suggest this. I tried this prior to the other method. This too seems to be ignored. I'm running IE v6 on WindowsXP - with Java script enabled.

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1171 says that forward-delete maps to but that key doesn't exist on an Apple Wireless Keyboard (as far as I can tell). Anyone know how to achieve this, as well as home, page up, and page down functions?

Exchanging data between different browser windows

It´s possible to eschange data between iviews that are in diferrent browser windows, using databag or Portal event functions?
I want do save data in Databag or fire a event in Webdynpro application. After it, another application (webdynpro for java) will execute in another browser window, reading the databag or handling the event.

Should be possible if you can read & write to cookie from the application. Assuming both the instances are running on the same system.
If you are using Portal Components ( JSPDynpage etc) then you can declare USER SPECIFIC personalization properties & this can store data . Since its personalized is can be read only by the logged in user, from either browsers.

how can i open more than one browser window using ADF UIX and jdeveloper 10.1.2 such that the data entered in the second window affects the data in the first?
for example in the date field, a popup window appear that allows me to select the date, and then the selection appears in the first window.

i am afraid you got me wrong, i am not talking about the database values.
let me give you an example of what i am trying to achieve:
1- create a date field, create an input forum to fill that field (uix page)
2- now you run the application, try to click the icon near the date field, a new popup window will appear, that helps you enter the date value.
3- when you select the value, the popup window disappears and the date is inserted into the forum
i am trying to achieve something similar.

How to open a new browser window without toolbar, location, and menu bars from AIR?

I have the following problem in my Flex+AIR application. I need to embed an ActiveX component that has JavaScript API inside my application. I tried to embed it inside <mx:HTML> component but unfortunately, AIR doesnot support plug-ins or ActiveX controls. So I've decided to open it in a new browser window. I tried navigateToURL(...) method but it has two problems - it is opening a new tab in the existing browser window and there is no way for me to configure the new browser window appearance, like removing toolbar, menu bar, location bar, etc. Then I tried to open a new window from JavaScript running inside <mx:HTML> component using window.open(...) API but it doesn't open a new window at all.
Is there any way for me to open a new browser window without toolbar, location bar, etc. (which will run ActiveX control, so it cannot be AIR window) from inside AIR?

Is it possible to open a new browser window using JSP?a JSP page is also an HTML page, this is client side stuff, you can do it with JavaScript.
