Fluid grid guides not showing up.

I checked to make sure that they are checked on in the visual aides options and they are. Dreamweaver says it cannot find the Fluid Grid Style, no idea how it got lost or what that means or how to fix that. Multiscreen preview isn't working either.
Please help,
Thanks!

If that still doesn't fix things, you may need to do a clean re-install.

  • Disappearing fluid grid guides in CC2014.1

    Using CC2014.1, when I create a fluid grid document I find the fluid grid guides (the gray columns) seem to randomly disappear.
    For example I just tried it. Created a new site (all defaults, no other content). Created a new fluid grid document (also all defaults). The document appeared correctly with the grid guides visible. I saved the document to the site root (which is also where I saved the css when the document was created) and then closed it.  When I re-opened the document I could only get live view (not design view) and the fluid grid guides weren't visible. I had not changed any of the display options.
    I must be doing something very basic wrong but don't know what.
    Nigel

    I can;t see anything I might have done while saving the document to cause it to lose the fluid grid capability. I just saved the .html and .css files - I didn't change anything from how they were created by default.
    As already stated, I am using the latest published version:
    I also don't have Hide Live View Displays selected:
    I'm copying below both files in case anyone can see anything odd that might be causing the document to lose its fluid grid identity:

  • Lastest iWeb on Maverick working fine, but well I upload website, photo grids are not showing!

    I have the lasted iWeb and Maverick. I open iWeb and everything is fine, I can see photo grids, add images, change text...etc. I can publish the site to a folder on desktop and upload it using Cyberduck. However, once I check the website, the photo grids are not showing. I tried opening it in different browers, deleting Caches, publishing the whole site, publishing just the change page, nothing seems to be working.
    After publishing, I check the folders and the media files and images are there, but they will not upload to website. What's going on?

    Then you've not uploaded all of the files to the server. With Cyberduck you should get a Finder link window of your account folder on the server.  There you can manually upload the site folder to your account and have it replace the existing site folder.  Watch the upload carefully to see if there are any messages about files not uploaded, etc.
    What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand?

  • [CS3 - Win] Smart Guides not showing up when Snap To Grid enabled

    Has anyone else encountered this bug?
    AI CS3 13.02
    Smart Guides are turned on, but hovering over items does not show the cyan hints, snapping to anchor points / paths etc does not work. This only occurs when Snap To Grid is enabled. If you then go and turn it off, the Smart Guides start working again as expected.
    Is this a known bug?
    Tom

    Thanks for the reply Mike. Smart Guides work perfectly for me provided Snap to Grid is turned off.
    I can see there being a conflict between snapping to grid and smart guides in CS3 - which takes precedence? From a UX perspective, if these two snapping modes are mutually exclusive, there should be at the very least an alert letting you know the other mode is disabled; the menu item should be greyed out. Or if it's truly an either-or situation, then the menu needs to be revised such that both snap to grid and smart guides are within the same submenu, and only one can be selected at a time, toggle with CMD+SHIFT+OPT+U.

  • Smart Guides Not Showing

    Hi,
    Smart Guides are not showing when I use Adobe Illustrator CC.
    There were several posts in this forum that suggest turning of "snap to grid" and double checking the preferences that smart guides are on. I've done both and provided screenshots.
    Smart Guides is very important feature to me. I need it urgently back on.
    Thanks

    amarzum,
    It could be a preference corruption.
    You may try to:
    1) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    or:
    2) Move the folder Other options (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible).

  • Dreamweaver CC fluid grid divs not stretching out to cover 100% of the screen

    Hi there,
    I am doing another responsive layout using DW CC and I have come across a problem.
    The design has coloured divs stretching across the page at 100% with a coloured background and borders.
    I have already done the design up as a fixed width layout to get the colour codes etc and that is working fine, with the colours stretching across the screen.
    Now I am putiing the design into DW CC using fluid grid layout and there is a white border outlining the website.
    I can't work out how to get rid of this. Below are extracts of my two lots of CSS stylesheets, one for a fixed grid layout and one for a responsive layout
    FIXED WIDTH CSS
    body,td,th {
        font-family: Calibri;
        font-size: 14px;
        color: #000;
    body {
        margin-left: 0px;
        margin-top: 0px;
        margin-right: 0px;
        margin-bottom: 0px;
    */This header wrapper stretches across the entire screen no matter what the size and does not have a white border on the left and the right
    #headerWrapper {
        background-color: #000;
        height: 101px;
        width: 100%;
        margin-right: auto;
        margin-left: auto;
        border-bottom-width: 2px;
        border-bottom-style: solid;
        border-bottom-color: #BDDB6D;
    FLUID GRID CSS
    The fluid grid layout CSS has the following in it:
    .fluid {
        clear: both;
        margin-left: 0;
        width: 100%;
        float: left;
        display: block;
    .fluidList {
        list-style:none;
        list-style-image:none;
        margin:0;
        padding:0;
    /* Mobile Layout: 480px and below. */
    .gridContainer {
        margin-left: auto;
        margin-right: auto;
        width: 86.45%;
        padding-left: 2.275%;
        padding-right: 2.275%;
        clear: none;
        float: none;
    #div1 {
    */This header wrapper stretches across the grid layout only and has a white border on the left and the right
    #headerWrapper {
        max-width: 100%;
        height: 101px;
        background-color: #000;
        border-bottom-width: 2px;
        border-bottom-style: solid;
        border-bottom-color: #BDDB6D;
    What do I need to add to the fluid grid layout to make the headerWrapper div stretch across the screen, no matter what the width?
    What do I have to put in the fluid grid CSS to get it to do this?
    Thanks in advance!

    I did it! I can't believe it. The code I used is follow. The bar divs set the colour and border across the entire page and the wrapper divs contain the content in the various bars across the page.
    I must say that DW CC fluid grids are much more stable to work with and can take a lot of hand coding now. It is a great improvement on when I tried to use Fluid grids on a project last year.

  • Fluid grid website is showing up as two-columns even on very large monitors in IE10

    In Firefox and Chrome, the website looks and functions just fine. However, viewing on the same large monitors in Internet Explorer, the webpages are broken up into two columns. To see what I mean, the site is www.PixelHallPress.com

    Yes, I use code view and I put the tags you suggested exactly where you had suggested. No, I am not a coder, but I'm pretty good at following directions. Yes, I've been known to make mistakes. Most of the time it's because I know a little code, but not enough to keep myself from getting into trouble (or help get out of it).
    The thing is that this website has been behaving just fine for about a year. It works fine in other browsers. IE is the only problem. I tried applying the template from two earlier versions that I know worked previously, and they too are having the display problem in IE
    I'm no longer getting that error code, by the way. However, when I place <body> then </body> tags I get an error message that I have an unbalanced body tag. I wonder if the fluid grid template creates its own version of a body tag.
    One variable: The host has migrated the site to a new server. Could this have introduced some errors?
    I appreciate your advice. Thanks, Sally

    Somehow my guides are not showing up, they were there
    originally and I deleted the green guide lines but now cant get
    them back. I am using cs3 and have show guides checked but they are

    Once you delete or clear guides, you need to drag them back
    onto
    document window. If you just want to turn them off
    temporarily, you need

  • Fluid Grid Colums NOT aligning

    Hi everybody.
    I am using Dreamweaver CS6 and I wanted to use the fluid grids for designing websites for Desktop/iPad/iPhone.
    I understood the basic principle, but I have one problem.
    The columns do not line up as they should.
    I have made a composite of the different browsers and devices.
    I run Mac OSX 10.7.5.
    Does anyone have the same problem?
    Thanks in advance
    Markus Ziegler

    If you've been using Dreamweaver a long time you should realize that:
    a) Features added to address trendy issues (like responsive design) are
    relevant to the "rapidly changing web" and as such they need to be kept
    up to date. Unfortunately, Adobe ha a well documented history of not
    updating such features.
    b) Your friends using free solutions may i fact be using some of the
    code that Adobe uses in its Fluid Grid feature, which is not an original
    piece of work by Adobe. It is, instead, code acquired from several open
    source solutions... that were very popular when CS6 was being developed
    but which have now been pretty well replaced by better methods.
    That said, Dreamweaver is a marvelous tool. Adobe can't really be blamed
    for trying to take advantage of buzzwords to add "compelling" new
    features, but an educated user needs to understand that what gets added
    in in terms of client-side functionality (CSS + JavaScript) is not
    Adobe's strength.

    Hi
    even i faced this kind of problem earlier.
    You could control this through ABAP too.
    i used
    CONCATENATE '=REPLACE("' wa_abc-ordernumber '",1,14,"'
                               wa_abc-ordernumber  '")' INTO lv_order number .
    then pass lv_ordernumber to the fianl table..
    Note: 14 is your sap field length.

  • Fluid grid layout - not being able to resize divs

    Hi,
    I've been woring on a fluid grid layout... found somethings I wanted to change but when I launch DW there are no resize handles on my divs
    Second issue is that I moved the Styles tab up next to the File tab and after relaunching it's back in another panel group.
    Thoughts??

    Hi
    Forgot to answer this one.
    Did you save your 'custom' workspace?
    It's at the top r/h, next to the search box. Click on the arrow next to the workspace name and select 'New Workspace'.

  • Grid is not showing up

    Hello there.  Hoping someone could help me with a situation I've been having for the past few days with Photoshop CS6.  Every time I go to my view button and click on show grid or snap to grid nothing is coming up.  What should I do?

    Here's one idea: In Preferences > Guides, Grid & Slices, check the grid color. It should be gray, unless your background color is also that same gray. If so, change the grid color.
    Also, check View > Show for other options.

  • Import images grid does not show file extension

    I use Aperture in a "referenced" mode. At times, I have jpeg files in the same folder as my nef files (which had already been imported into Aperture). The import images list does not have (or I cannot find out how to display) the file name that shows the file extension too. Of the data available, i can scroll to the right and see a lot of different metadata in the list, but not the file extension.
    Does anyone know how to have the file extension displayed in the list that is shown when trying to import?
    thanks

    Aperture can display just about anything you would like to display. The key is putting the correct field into the metadata set for that is being used for the browser or viewer that is active (you can have two ready to go and switch between them or none with a shortcut key)
    This should tell you everything you ever didn't want to know

  • Co-ordinates of guides not showing

    Is there any way to get Illustrator to display (in the info panel) the X and Y of a guide while it's being dragged out from the ruler (like every other program that uses guides - eg. Photoshop, Keynote, etc)? It seems incredibly stupid that the X and Y just sit there, displaying the last co-ordinates from something you did BEFORE dragging out the guides. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong. I know I can drag out the guides, then open the layers panel, then find the guide amongst my layers, then select it, THEN see its co-ordinates...but this is ridiculous!
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

    If you have guides unlocked, drag a new guide from the ruler, release it, then click and drag it. The coordinate changes then show in the info panel. This is the same behavior you get creating rectangles, ellipses, line segments, etc.
