Yes, SR Type- Responsibility mapping is done in JSP page.
But Dataloader works in JSP page or almost any application like Microsoft excel, outlook etc..

You Can do it by defining datatype.
Make the occurence of COL2 as 1 to unbounded and then in your mapping
duplicate the Target Subtree and map it to the corresponding values.

Creating Managed Server for Weblogic that comes with Oracle Service Bus

I've installed Oracle Service Bus 10.3.
Weblogic Server 10.3 comes bundled with OSB 10.3.
Everything is working fine in the Admin Server.
But when I create a Managed server and try to start it, I get the following exception and server doesn't start :

I've tried changing the boot.properties file and given clear text username and password, but even this did not change the exception.
Are there any other security concerns that are to be taken care of while configuring Managed Server for Oracle Service Bus?

How are you starting the manageserver. Is it using command line or using NodeManager from Weblogic console of admin server. Most of the times we start managed server using yourDomain/bin/startManagedWebLogic.cmd (.sh).
startManagedWebLogic nameOfYourManagedServer adminURL(Ex: http://host:port).
If you created a managed server at the time of creation of domain itself using custom option, then under your domain root folder, you should see a file named like "startManagedWebLogic_readme.txt" that kind of gives the same above command.
If you added the managed server later on, to an existing single server domain, then you can use the above command.

Domain Value Mapping in Oracle Service Bus

Hi all,
I am looking for a similar functionality with Oracle Service Bus that exist in the Enterprise Service Bus.
The XPath function is lookup-dvm() that looks up the value based on a domain value mapping.
The case is to use this in a XQuery mapping.
Any input or experience on this?

Currently out-of-box implement of similar functionality in OSB is not possible. This DVM feature will supplied out of box in future releases of OSB. Talk to your sales representative to get exact date lines for this feature.

Oracle Service Bus Proxy Testing with Attached Policy

Hello,
When I'm testing a Proxy through the test console (lauch by clicking the bug) I'm seeing Override Values in the Security section. I've created four custom policies and attached two of them to the proxy. One that processes the request and the other the processes the response. The other two policies are attached to a composite on an interface to an external service. Those policies process the request/response respectively. When I bring up the test console for the OSB Proxy, I'm seeing the two policies that are attached to the composite in the "Security" section as "Override Values". If I don't delete the policies, they are executed. Which causes an error. So I have to delete them to get a clean run. I'm not sure why they are showing up in the "Override Values". It's definitely annoying that I have to delete them each time before executing the test. Any ideas on what's going on?

Does anyone have any best practices for handling large configurations in Oracle Service Bus (formerly ALSB)? We are going to have hundreds of HTTP services defined. I protect Proxy Service. It means only authenticated user can able to access it.
But when i want to access from my application server (weblogic), i don't want to authenticate again with OSB.
Is there any way to use SSO between application server and Oracle Service Bus ?

Query regarding the tutorial for Oracle Service Bus (OSB 10gR3)

I have created the proxy service and the Business Service, using Oracle Service Bus console.
The details are as follows:
Proxy service: LoanGateway
Business service1: A value of 4.9 or less causes the message to be routed to the ManagerLoanReview business service.
Business service2: A value of 5.0 or greater causes the message to be routed to the NormalLoan business service.
When i send the request message, so that it gets routed from proxy service to one of the business service than it gives following error.

I have the same problem and I'm not able to telnet localhost on port 7021. How can I change this port number I think that port must be 7001, it is correct?Examples server domain is pre-configured for port 7021. The samples domain will have the examples properly deployed in this domain out of box. You dont need to change any thing in {BEA_HOME}\osb_10.3\samples\domains\servicebus\config.
I doubt this has to do something with firewall . Check the last statement in the log after starting the domain.

How to get Oracle Service Bus 10gR3 for windows 64 bit

Hi,
I'm looking for Oracle Service Bus 10gR3 and Oracle Data Service Integrator 10gR3 installables for Windows 64-bit. However, I saw the available versions on download section are only for indows 32-bit. I'm using win 64-bit to detect 4BG RAM or more which is not possible in win 32-bit.
Can anybody help me wheather compatable version are available or is there any solution for that?

Oracle Service Bus 10.3 - split join how to set header for invoked service

In Oracle Service Bus 10.3 how can I set the header for the service being invoked. We make parallel calls to 2 different business services. One of the invoked service requires header to be set and I am unable to figure out how it can be done. Below are snippet of the code and WSDL.

In Oracle Workshop for WebLogic when I create a split-join .flow file while adding the invoke service call to login operation I am prompted to create the loginRequest and loginResponse variables. I can assign the appropriate expression to loginRequest.loginRequestElement prior to making the invoke call but then the backend business call fails because "systemLangCode" is not defined and set. There is this $header variable which you should populate before calling the BS. What is the type of BS? If it is WSDL BS , Any Soap BS then above solution will work. I assume that yours is WSDL based BS and setting $header should resolve this issue.
AnyXML and Messaging type BS services requires that you create proper pay load (setting $header will not work).
There is also other actions Set Transport Headers {outbound request/inbound response} which can be used to set transport related headers but not soap headers.

I used the ojdbc6.jar as the jdbc driver.
Installation went smoothly, and I have done the necessary post-installation modification to the startWeblogic.sh
However when I start the weblogic server, it throws

When i tried to access the console (http://[host:port]/registry/uddi/web), it returns 500 error, along with the above error message.
Did I miss something or OSR 10.3 cannot be used with 11g db?

Understanding on Oracle services for Microsoft Transaction Server frm dba point of view

Need help to further confirm my understanding on what i read.
I am coming from the DBA angle... .
the functionality of the Microsoft Transaction server is integrated within the operating system as a COM+ server and as a .NET server, "
can i say these is the application servers ?
and the Microsoft Transaction distributed co -ordinator components is part of it.
Question, i don't install the Oracle Recovery Services on the above system right?
Question 2, as a dba, my only concern is to make sure the Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server is installed. Is this correct ?
plus making sure to create the OraMTS administrator to run the recovery job to check for in-doubt transaction.
Question 3:
is this Oracle services for Microsoft Transaction Server used only when an application useses multiple databases in an env?
Can i say that when there is no user MTSSYS in my database, Oracle services for MTS is not used?
The reason why i ask is i am upgrading/ migrating my database and this database don't work with more then 1 database or the application does not work with more then 1 databases.
I ask the apps team all they say is that they are also not too sure. Thus need help/ advice.

When such components acquire OLEDB or ODBC connections to Oracle and external service setup for that database i.e. OracleMTSService<id> joins the MTS transaction on behalf of the Oracle database which quite often runs on a non-Windows platform e.g. Solaris. We restrict each database to have one and only such service. This brings in scalability and availability issues. In 8.1.7.4.0 we have embedded the transaction join and commit logic in the clientside dll. There is no OracleMTSService<id> for a given database. The only service needed is a recovery service one per Windows machine on which Oracle Svcs For MTS is installed. This service is automatically created on installation of the product and doesn't connect to the databases. Instead the involved databases connect to the service via HTTP to resolve any MTS-related transactions that are in-doubt.

I can't start Oracle Services for MTS

Hello there, Oracle users!
I am new here, as new to the Oracle technology. We are developping a
software which must be transaction compliant, and we're on microsoft
platform, and thatswy we're using sql2000 and microsoft transaction
server for our application server components.
But one of our clients wants to use oracle 8i db as the resource manager. We had to make the proper work mts with oracle. I've red all of the oracle documentation within this topic, and i successfully installed
the Oracle Services for MTS on our development machine at the workplace.
(created the mts_proxy_info table, granted the specific roles to a specific db user, the specific privileges, and so on), and
it is working nicely, the log says "accepting new enlistment requests",
everything is wonderful.
But at the client, i repeated all of the steps (the only difference is,
that they have the server on a HP-UX machine instead of winnt and i had not access to the oracle server, i just gived the sql script to the oracle dba guy there (maybe he missed something?)), and when i wanted to start the oracle services for MTS on the Application server, the log says this: "incorrect password, or username". I really don't
undestand it, because i can connect through the OLEDB driver with the
specified username, password and Service name. (in a datalink (udl), for example)
If anybody had an idea i would be very happy

Oracle services for MSCS

On installing Oracle 10g Fail Safe Server on Win XP SP-2 machine (after intalling IIS), it gives the following error :
OUI-10150:Error : The oracle services for MSCS must be installed on a cluster running Microsoft Cluster Server. Please intall Microsoft Cluster Server 1.00.224.0 or higher before installing Oracle Services for MSCS.
Error occurred in component Oracle Services for MSCS 3.4.1.0.0. Installation can not continue for this component.

That said, Oracle Server products are generally only supported on Server operating systems. So FailSafe will be supported on e.g. Windows 2003 Enterprise and Data Center Edition, but not on XP or Vista which are versions of Windows intended for Desktops rather than servers. (you could also try looking in the release notes for FailSafe)
Metalink is the source of truth for certifications as always, though.
