Folders Not Showing in Server Admin AFP Share Point?

Hello all,
My problem is I can make a folder in Server Admin under AFP Share Point, But the Folder wont actually be made on the HD.
Under Server Admin AFP Share Point it will tell me that it doesn't exist?
So I thought I'll go to that point on the HD and make the folder then set the permissions to it... nope I can make the folder I can see it in finder and in terminal, But not in Server Admin AFP Share Point.
I have never seen this before any help is greatly welcomed.

I have seen an attribute for folder object which could control SharePoint folder hide or show in webdav explorer view, you can use PowerShell to output the problematic folder property, see if it the case, then use the PowerShell code to set it's property
with blank value to make it show in explorer view,
Use the PowerShell to get the folder object and then check the property value with this code line $folder.Properties["vti_winfileattribs"]
#folder can be site, library level and folder level
$folder = (Get-SPWeb http://sp).Folders["shared documents"].SubFolders["folder1"]
#hide folder
$folder.Properties["vti_winfileattribs"]="00000016"
#show folder
####$folder.Properties["vti_winfileattribs"]=""

    I have a user who is not able to see any files or folders on an AFP share (SFM on Windows 2003) when attempting to Save As.   • DHCP Clients Not showing in Server Admin....but are there

    Hi,
    DHCP has just recently stopped showing me the MAC addresses of connected clients. It always says 0 though I know through the logs that DHCP is working. Any ideas? I will give more info if needed but wondering if it's maybe a bug or something?

  • Mail-enabled Public Folders not showing as enabled in PFMC or EMS

    Good morning
    I have some PF's that are mail enabled, but running the Get-PublicFolder cmdlet shows "mailenabled" attribute as False. Also, in the PF Management Console, the folder shows as not mail enabled (with an option to enable it).

    I'd like to do some testing, but recreating this issue with a test PF is actually really hard.
    Does anyone know a way to force that "mailenabled" attribute to False after mail-enabling a PF? I can't find any ADSI attribute that is obvious. I changed MsExchRecipientTypeDetails to <not set> but that didn't do it...
    **UPDATE** I just found out that msExchMailboxGuid is missing from that object. Does anyone have any kind of suggestion for how I can find the Guid of the mailbox that is no longer associated with this PF?
    **UPDATE 2** I have found other PF's that are missing this attribute, but they are not displaying any symptoms. They are showing as mail enabled in the EMS and PFMC. So I guess this isn't a required attribute.
    Could anyone explain the purpose of this attribute for mail-enabled public folders? I just assumed it was required.

    Do you migrate these mail-enabled public folders from previous Exchange server to Exchange 2010?
    Please check if you can see the SMTP address for mail-enabled public folders via Properties of Public folders.
    Please check if they show in the Microsoft Exchange System Objects in ADUC.
    Besides, I recommend you mail disable the public folder and then mail enable it again to check the result in the Public Folder Management Console.
    For a mail-enabled recipient, a minimum set of attributes is required to make all Exchange components work properly. For example, a mail-enabled entry (a user, contact, group, or public folder) has to have at least these attributes: mailNickname, legacyExchangeDN,
    and displayName. Without the mailNickname attribute, an object is not considered mail-enabled.

    some of the folders not showing in the folder list. but i can able to view the all the folders in Webmail.

    A POP3 account can only download from the Inbox folder. If you want to your folders to synchronize with the mail server, you'll need to configure it as an IMAP account.

    Quit all apps (Double tap the Home button and swipe the preview page up for each open app) then Reset (Hold the Sleep/Wake & Home buttons until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears - no data will bee lost)
    Make sure you have your Favorites selected properly here: Settings > Safari > Favorites

    Hi I have set up a test shop, and succesfully can make payments via paypal standard yet these purchases and activity not showing up in admin live feed, am I fogetting to do something?
    Hope someone can help, determined to get this solved.

    Make sure that the payments are marked as PayPal Succeeded and not Pending
    or something like that, because then they won't show up in the live feed.

  • Why does Local Folders not show up when I install Thunderbird on certain computers?

    I've installed Thunderbird on my computer and it looks normal with "Local Folders" showing up in the left pane. I didn't add an email account, I just installed Thunderbird and an add-on called ImportExport tool and left it with only Local Folders. But when I try to do the same thing and install it on someone else's computer to help them import an .mbox file, when I install Thunderbird on their computer, "Local Folders" is not there. The left pane is just completely blank. And it looks like I can't import an .mbox file without it being there. I tried installing it on another laptop too and the same thing happened with no Local Folders. Why is "Local Folders" not showing up for these other two computers?

    I circumvented the problem by copying the c:\users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird folder and the c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\thunderbird folder from my working PC to the nonworking computers, and Local Folders appeared in Thunderbird on those computers. It seems like these files aren't being generated properly on installation.
    I tried uninstalling Thunderbird from my working PC and reinstalling it again to see what would happen (after also deleting those two appdata folders so that fresh ones would be created), and this time Local Folders did not appear on my PC as well. I don't think I did anything different during installation either. So I'm not sure why the Local Folders are no longer being generated at installation.

    Has anyone found a fix yet? Basically, when copying files from an AFP server, Leopard is not having the file inherit the permissions of the parent folder. It is inheriting the permissions of the file within /Volumes.
    I am accessing an AFP share point on a server that has files that are 644 (readable by everyone, but only writable by the owner). I am not the owner. When viewing the AFP volume on my client within /Volumes/whatever the permissions appear to be 400 (unwriteable by the owner, no access to anyone else). When I copy the file over to desktop, the permissions remain as 400 when they should obviously be 600.
    What does this mean? Even though I am NOW the owner, and it is on MY desktop, I am unable to write to the file unless I chmod it. Very, very annoying and this behavior is unique to Leopard. Tiger does not mangle the permissions.
    The server is ubuntu-8.10-server running Netatalk.
    The test clients are Leopard 10.5.5 and Tiger 10.4.11
    On the server:
    $ pwd

    $ ls -l
    -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data www-data 1024 2008-11-23 23:29 test.doc
    On the Leopard client:
    $ pwd
    /Volumes/www

    I don't believe this is a problem of leopard in general. i can not reproduce this behavior with any of my afp shares. no matter how i connect (as an owner or as a guest) after I copy something to the desktop it gets standard 644 (not 600) permissions.

  • Searching afp share points

    I am considering upgrading our file server xserve from 10.4.11 to Lion. The main objective would be to provide AFP clients fast indexed searching on share points. We use two, both on external RAIDS, one with read-only ACLs for archived projects.
    The clients are all on SL at present. Would they need to be upgraded to Lion for these searches to work reliably?
    Is searching AFP share points from the client a reliable feature of the Lion File Server?

    Some would say yes, but then you'll find some people saying no. 
    The trouble is, everyone sets up their servers a little differently.  If you set it up according to Apple's model and don't stray at all, then you shouldn't have a problem.  The trouble is, you're going to have clients that have their computers configured differently, or perhaps incorrectly.
    I would set up a test server first and try it.
    Lion is still kind of out of the box different. You're very likely to run into issues.  Some of them might be deal breakers.  It's wise to run a test server first to decide if these issues are in fact okay.
    FWIW, my lion server indexes and searches from clients just fine.  But I have tight reigns on all my client computers.

  • Sidebar does not show mounted server shares

    I have several Macs. On my iMac which is connected to the network via ethernet the finder sidebar shows my server in the shared section as well as the mounted server shares in the devices section which is great as I have them in every open/save box. Now on my MacBook (connected via Airport) I can see the server in the shared section but no matterf how many shares I mount they never appear in the devices section. That means connecting to the server each and every time I open or save something which is annoying as you can imagine. I have cehcked every box in the Finde sidebar prefeneces, so it can't be that.
    Anyone got an idea?

  • Share folders not showing at Windows Explorer

    I have setup 8 shared folders and 4 users. Mix password protected and not. It will disappear if I use the users Tab to assign user to a specific share folder. Will only be able to fix the problem when I switch on and off the public access then that shared folder will appear. Problem I need to do this for the rest of the shares which is a nightmate and will lost the setting for user. So end up with 1 folder share and 1 user.     Hi there, Sorry for hijacking someone else's post, but I have been badly suffering from an issue with my WD MyBook World II drive which we are using in our network with version 01.02.14 with MioNet 4.3.1.13 built on Thu Feb 9 14:11:48 CST 2012. The problem is that when I am trying to get access on the share folder on WD from my windows 7 professional(2 PCs), on both the PCs I am not able to get into the shares, it just stucks overther and when I look for the logs under WD system Logs, its saying:read_data&colon; read failure for 4 bytes to client 192.168.110.151. Error = Connection reset by peer.read_data&colon; read failure for 4 bytes to client 192.168.110.101. Error = Connection reset by peer I tried so many things but not working.Previously it worked for 2 years and this suddently started since last month I am not able to get that.Even I formatted one of the PC, but no luck.Please let me know what is causing the issue.

    is there any thing do i have to do to make it work ??Check to see if the physical disk appears under the default volume group for your san. If not, refresh the san and wait until it does. Also, make sure you have an admin server configured for that san and that your Oracle VM servers are in the default access group.

    Hello, pay attention to: "to read the password securely from commandline is not found"
    when you execute startWebLogic.cmd the terminal request you a password. You didn't type the password.
    Solution:
    Execute startWebLogic.cmd
    Type the password.

  • Some Images Not Showing on Server

    Five of my images aren't showing up online. They appear fine when previewed on my computer and even appear in Adobe Browser Lab.
    I've re-uploaded them several times.
    I've deleted them from the server before re-uploading them.
    I've created new ones and replaced them.
    I've emptied the cache.
    I've reset the browser.
    I've clicked reload.
    I've re-uploaded the CSS file and HTML page.
    The page has passed validation.
    The  top and bottom round-cornered navigation rollovers are missing, and the "Concessions" photo link (lower right corner) isn't showing its rollover image.

    As an aside note, whilst your roller image is present an correctly uploaded to the server if you use a lowercase 'i' for the word 'images' in the url link your top and bottom navigation images are not on the server at all, either with the upper case 'I' present:

    or amended to lower case 'i':

    I'd check and make sure those images are in the correct folder and have been uploded to the server.
