Follow document renders SPSocialException Internal error code 11
I'm writing a method to programmatically follow or unfollow documents in SharePoint 2013. The idea is to call the method providing the path to the document, the user and a bool indicating if we're turning following on or off for the particular document and
user.
The problem is that when I call the Follow method (or StopFollowing) on my FollowManager, I get this execption:
SPSocialException was caught
"The operation failed because an internal error occurred. Internal type name: Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.FollowedContentException. Internal error code: 11."
Here's my code. Everything works fine until the if (follow) clause. The user and document objects are valid, the path exists and is accessible.
private static string FollowOrUnfollowDocument(string absouteEncodedPathDocument, SPUser user, bool follow)
string retval = string.Empty;
SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate()
try
SPServiceContext serverContext = SPServiceContext.GetContext(SPContext.Current.Web.Site);
UserProfileManager profileManager = new UserProfileManager(serverContext);
UserProfile profile = profileManager.GetUserProfile(user.LoginName);
if (profile != null)
SPSocialFollowingManager followManager = new SPSocialFollowingManager(profile);
SPSocialActorInfo newActor = new SPSocialActorInfo();
Uri serverUri = new Uri(SPContext.Current.Web.Url);
Uri relativeUri = new Uri(absouteEncodedPathDocument, UriKind.Absolute);
newActor.ContentUri = new Uri(serverUri, relativeUri);
newActor.AccountName = user.LoginName;
newActor.ActorType = SPSocialActorType.Document;
if (follow)
followManager.Follow(newActor);
else
followManager.StopFollowing(newActor);
catch (Exception ex)
retval = ex.Message;
return retval;
Any ideas? What does internal error 11 mean?
Hi Papageno,
I faced same issue. Solution for this is Set HttpContext.Current to null inside
RunWithElevatedPrivileges() and after processing re-assign it. SharePoint internally checks if HttpContext Identity is not null then it will pass same HttpContext UserToken to process the request. This causes issue though it is in
RunWithElevatedPrivileges().
So your code should look like -
SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate()
try
System.Web.HttpContext current = System.Web.HttpContext.Current;
System.Web.HttpContext.Current = null;
// Do your processing
catch (Exception ex)
// Error handle
finally{
// Re-assign your HttpContext.Current
System.Web.HttpContext.Current = current;
Happy Coding :)
Mark as Answer if it solves your problem.

PS: 11.5.10.2 db version is:10.2.0.3Helios,
This is the only hit in Metalink (with the database version and argument you have).
Note: 470459.1 - ORA-600 [kghlkrem1]

ORA-00600 errors are database internal errors, and the issue could be specific to your installation/database. Do not follow any steps in this link, instead log a SR and submit the trace file to Oracle Support (as suggested in the document).

I ran across this error starting on 6/4/2011 and have been unable to find the root of the problem. In our environment, we have a DPM 2010 server dedicated to backing up all our SQL envrionment (about 45 SQL Servers total). All of the SQL
environment is backing up fine except for a SQL Cluster Application. This particular SQL Instances is part of a 6 node failover cluster with 6 SQL Instances distributed amongst them. The other 5 SQL instances in the cluster are backing
up fine; only one instance is failing. The DPM Alerts section shows this error when attempting to do a SQL backup of one of the databases on this SQL instance:
Affected area: KEN-PROD-VDB001\POSREPL1\master

I have checked the cluster node this particular SQL instance is running on using Perfmon and the machine is nowhere near capacity on CPU, memory, network, or Disk I/O. I have failed this SQL Application to another node in the cluster and
receive the same error (this other node has another clustered SQL application on it that is actively running as well as backing up fine). The only thing that I am aware of that has changed is that we installed SP2 for SQL 2008 about 2 weeks prior
to when the failures started to occur. However, we updated all six clustered SQL Instances at the same time and only this one is having this issue so I don't believe that caused the problem. We are running SQL 2008 SP2 (version 10.0.4000.0)
on all clustered instances along with DPM 2010 (version 3.0.7696.0) on this particular DPM server that has the issue.
One last thing, I have also noticed errors in the event log pertaining to the same SQL backups that are failing (but the time stamps are not concurrent with each backup attempt):

Any help would be greatly appreciated!Don't know if this helps or not, but I also noticed another peculiar issue that is derived from this problem. If I go to "Modify protection group", then expand the cluster, then expand all six nodes in the cluster, five of them show "All SQL Servers"
and allow me to expand the SQL Instance and show all databases; the one that is having a problem backing up, when I expand the node, doesn't even show that SQL exists on the node, when in fact, it does.
I would also like to add that the databases on this node that will not backup are running fine. They run hundreds of transactions daily so we know SQL itself is OK. Even though it is a busy SQL Server, there is plenty of available resources as
the SQL buffer and memory counters show the node is not under durress. -
Hi All,
I am getting the error "Err#-600 msg ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [4000], [7089]" while running a package. Could not able to get detailed info on this. Please someone help in resolving the above error.

You can follow Nikolay's advice or try to find a workaround yourself by rewriting your query using a somehow different approach

ORA-00600: internal error code while using UpdateXML to update xml content
Hi,
I have been using the UpdateXML command to replace content of xml stored in XMLType. It was working absolutely fine.
Below is the query:
UPDATE temp d SET d.message_content = updateXML(d.message_content,'//*[.="Test" ]/text()','"Test123"') WHERE existsNode(d.message_content,'//*[.="Test"]')=1";
But now i'm getting an exception as follows:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [qmcxeUpdateXml:2.1], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
The table uses a Free Test Index.
I searched the forum and found from the given link https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2352772 that corrupted Index may be the cause of this problem. I'm still clueless :(
Can someone help me?Hi sprightee,
That thread you found seems to be a different problem (Ora-600 argument is different)
I think you have hit bug 6811908, at least if Odie is correct about your version.
Bug says No workaround - Fixed in 11.1.0.8

This is with a simple cube with only one dimension. i had created the same cube earlier with 10 dimensions but same error occurred. i felt it had to do with my setup of the cube. I have recreated the cube a couple of times with different names but same error exists. interestingly all dimensions are viewable after maintenance.
I am begining to doubt the efficacy of AWM + oracle OLAP in use for a production environment. i have been at this for quite some time but no solution yet. please i would appreciate anyhelpHave you ever had any cube working in this environment? yes. i had created multiple versions of the same cube with fewer dimensions. I had created a cube (USAGE) with 5 dimensions, it worked. I later created same cube with 10 dimensions, that was the Genesis of the error. i had exported the eif file, deleted the awm, reimpored the awm, same errors. recreated the cube same error. i even tried recreating the cube wih one dimension but the same error persists.
database is Release 11.1.0.7.0

Hi,
While connecting with database, I got the following error,
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ttcgcshnd-1], [0], [], [], [], [], [], []
I am using oracle 9i. Can anyone tell me the solution of that error ?
Thanks and Regards,
Hirenmany people are here because they lack that optionIt's not false, indeed, but if nobody had the same error, there is no chance to solve it.
At least a complete system/operation description is necessary to indicates some valid ways to investigate.

To enable tracing at the server, find the sqlnet.ora file for the server and create the following lines in it:
TRACE_TIMESTAMP_SERVER = ON
TRACE_LEVEL_SERVER = 16
TRACE_UNIQUE_SERVER = ON
后,本来3113 的查询可以正常出来了,但是关闭trace后,又不正常了。
Solution
问题最终定位在 CISCO ASA 防火墙的 SQLNet inspect,关闭就OK了。ORA-00600 12333 usually means there was a communications error between the client and server. If you kill a session or perform a shutdown while a users connected you could potentially get this error. There's other reasons too. I think you're probably right that Oracle support will tell you to upgrade if you file a TAR with them.
Did this error crash your database or does it happen frequently? If the answer is no then I wouldn't worry about it unless the end user has said something about it. If this is a problem then I'd contact Oracle support.
I'm also running 8.1.7.2 and get maybe 1-2 of these errors a month from the same PC. In our case this error didn't correspond with a database shutdown or a killed session. We also tried reinstalling the client software and this didn't fix it either. I think our error may be because of this one PC being on a very old part of our network that probably needs upgrading. -
What are the possible causes of the following error:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [SKGMBUSY], [1], [0], [0], [0], [], [], []
Can issuing an SQL from an applicatoin using ODBC drivers cause the above error to occur ? If so, what can a
developer do to prevent this error from happening ?
Thanks for your help.What are the possible causes of the following error:

Thanks for your help. This sounds like a problem with the shared memory segement on the server.
You developer can do nothing to prevent this. I think this has nothing to do with ODBC, because ODBC is on PC and the connect to the server is by SQL*Net.
Does this occur often ?
Is there a SQL Statement in the trace file ?
Is it always the same statement ?
What db version do you have ?

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17119]
Hi Techies,
I've got a lot of ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17119] showing in my alertlogs and trace files. Users were unable log on, sunsequently the database crashed.
has anyone come accross such events and how was it solved? There are no activities that I can pin point to the time of occurance.
Extract of the trace file is as follows:

Hi all,
I'm getting Oracle internal error:
"ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kokvxsql1], [], [], [], [], [], [],[]"
when I'm trying to drop a user from my DB. The tablespace related to the user is getting dropped easily whereas the user itself is not getting dropped. I'm getting the following errors alternatingly when trying to drop the user:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kokvxsql1], [], [], [], [], [], [],[]
ORA: internal error code arguments [4814][5][0][0][][][][]
ORA: 04043 Object :<object_name(OBJECT_TYPE='TYPE')> does not exist.
I'm trying to refresh the schema and so have to drop the schema and the tablespace. The tablespace has no problems in getting dropped but the user has. :-(..
please help ASAP.
Thanks a lot in advance for any suggestions/solutions.

Thanks,Hi,
seems you are using advanced queuing, and i believe you are going with imp option. so you can use IGNORE=Y to do that
you can check the doc. below

I am not able to drop the Temp file as it is used by some users.
When i checked my Alert Log then i am getting the ora-600 error....
When i check metalink for this argument i found that its a bug in 91 &10gR2
Please suggest some solution of this problem.
Is it a serious issue of database.Robert Geier wrote:
If you kill the sessions using the tempfile, or restart the database you may be able to drop it. Or you could try to shrink the tempfile instead of drop.
Not sure why you are doing that though ? If the temp tablespace is full, check what is using the space, or add another tempfile to the tablespace.No I am not killing the sessions... But i just checked using following query that some users are using the temp Tablespace at that time. But i did not kill any session.
select 'alter system kill session '''||a.sid||','||a.serial#||''' immediate;'
from
v$session a,
v$sort_usage b,
v$process c,
v$parameter d
where
d.name = 'db_block_size'
and
a.saddr = b.session_addr
and
a.paddr = c.addr
and
b.tablespace='TEMP'
and
a.status='ACTIVE'
order by
b.tablespace,
b.segfile#,
b.segblk#,
b.blocks;
