Font doesn't display in output video

Hi everyone,
I've got a problme with After Effects CS6.
I've installed it on a windows 8 and i've downloaded some fonts on the web.
I've installed them in the C:/Windows/fonts folder.
When I open After Effects, the texte is correctly displayed.
But when i make a render of my video, the font is replaced by Times New Roman font.
I don't understand why After Effects does that.
Can anybody help me ?

First, sorry for my late answer, i just see it now
Let me give you more details.
I'm on a windows server 2012, with after effects cs6.
The text layer used is a simple text layer with a Brady Bunch font -> the regular one, ttf format.
This texte layer is changed automatically via expressions and a txt file which is uploaded at every render by a new text.
In fact, every render is different because i change photo and text at every time.
The output render type is H.264, with audio output 32.000Khz, just let me give you a screen, it's gonna be more easy for me :

Font doesn't display correctly in interactions

I'm using the font Swis721 Cn BT in my Captivate file and I've found that the only time it doesn't display properly after the file is published is when it's used in interactions. The image below shows the font being used as the black text above the interaction but it's defaulting to Times New Roman for all the text in the interaction. The font problem also only exists on other computers. When I view the published file on my computer the font problem doesn't exist.
Any ideas on why the font only has issues in interactions?

I also need to add that the font problem exists on the results slide for the reported variables. The default text and the variable are both assigned to the same font yet the variables are defaulting to Times New Roman.

AppleTV 2 doesn't display or play video in iTunes library on MacBook Pro i7

please help, apple tv doesn't play or display movies on the computer.
brand new appleTV 2nd gen, it plays itunes store videos, netflix and youtube videos. network works great. latest software updated. home sharing active. computer autorized. it shows the computer in the menu but can't browse the library. the computer can play through the tv speakers but doesn't show the library. airplay active. also when it try to play movies from the computer it displays an error message. the movies are converted for ipad and apple tv.
movies are not from apple store.
the computer has the latest software and it works properly.
it is connected to the same network as the apple tv.
what should I do?

I am having the same problem since upgrading my desktop workstation to Lion. The AppleTV 2 can see my computer when iTunes is running, but when I navigate to the library the AppleTV 2 tells me that there are no movies (or music or pictures) in the library. I have a mix of videos purchased through the iTunes store, HandBrake conversions, and home videos converted with HandBrake. I can start a movie or other video in iTunes and push it to the AppleTV 2, but I can't parse the library from the AppleTV 2.
The odd thing is: I can see the library on my Mac Pro just fine from my MacBook Pro's iTunes.

Embedded font doesn't display the same at runtime

For whatever reason, I have chosen Aerial Black for some read-only TLF text (anti-alias = "readability"), but at runtime, it looks more like Times Roman.
Any idea?

I was coming to that conclusion myself, but it works fine in Keynote on my Powerbook. On the MP I took off a lot of the language translations, I wonder if that had any effect. The font displays the alphabet fine if I check it via the font box in Motion. It also displays properly if I open the Keynote file on the MP.
There are no Latin characters in Corsiva Hebrew. When you use it for Latin characters, you are actually seeing a different font regardless of what it says in a font menu. The substitution occurs automatically, normally with Lucida Grande I think.
Look carefully at this font in size 72 and see if you can see any difference from Lucida Grande. Send me a screen shot if you like (tom at bluesky dot org).

I wanted to use a particular font 'Corsiva Hebrew' in a project. I imported it from my Powerbook to the font folder, but when I use it in the project it displays as another font. Looking at it in 'view fonts' it is fine. I have restarted etc. Is there something else I should do or is this a font that won't work in Motion?

Any website that uses remote fonts doesn't display properly.

This webpage is a great example and yahoo mail is another one. The fonts are pixilated with incorrect spacing. I've tried disabling addons and extensions, I've reinstalled Firefox, I've tried different settings in about:config, I've tried disabling hardware acceleration and nothing works

I am trying to setFont on a JTextField and I am getting rectangles instead of any character that I type on that text field!
The font is true type font (.ttf)
Any idea what could the problem be?

Is there a way to use greek letters from the Symbol fontset in iWeb?

It appears that other
fonts, not just Lucida Grande also have a Greek
character set. For example, here is Times Roman
Greek: αβγ What's so special about Lucida Grande?
In 10.3 Lucida Grande is the only one. In 10.4 you have Helvetica and Times as well. If you have Office 2004, you also have Arial and Times New Roman I think. Here's a FAQ:

Problem with video skin doesn't display on html although the video played normally.

I used "Adobe media encoder" to convert a video file to "FLV" format, so that I can import to "Adobe Flash CS5" . I have chosen all the component buttons and tried to "publish preview" on to html but the video skin doesn't display although the video does. Two swf file skin file + fla + swf movie + html are all in the same folder.
Please help....I have tried to fix this problem for 10 hours already and still have no luck, tried to search online for solution but counldn't find anything.

This is because the skin is in the wrong directroy. If I put
the skin in the same folder as the HTML file, not the swf, it
works. So if you would do what I said a few posts ago and make this
work:

skin path must be defined by the html file calling the swf file,
not the location of the swf file.

HP probook 6450b running windows 8 display port to HDMI doesn't give any output

My laptop HP probook 6450b running windows 8, display port to HDMI doesn't give any output. I gave windows+P and tried selecting duplicate/extend but no output. I even tried to change the DP to HDMI converter and the HDMI cable as well but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Please use an HP DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter for this setup. Please make sure that you are using HP Cable/Converter with the Product Number BP937AA.
1. Please let me know if you have additional graphics card installed on your Notebook
2. You can try download and installing the latest BIOS Update for your Notebook from the HP Website
3. Make sure VGA Port on the Notebook is not in use when you are testing the Display Port

Youtube video screen doesn't display with firefox 3.6.15 and adobe flash plug-in 10,2,152,32 installed.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

The Video app in OS7 doesn't display file names under the image.
How can I identify my video files without having to open each file to access the file name.
Is there something I am missing or is this just an omission in the OS7 upgrade.
I am a music teacher and this lack of file names makes the app virtually useless for use in the classroom.

Agreed. This has been a problem with TV Shows in the Videos app since forever, but at least it used to put the name under Movies. Now instead fixing it for TV Shows in iOS 7 they've done the opposite and made Movies fail the same way as TV Shows always have!
Apparently it still lists the title for Home Videos, so the best work around for now is probably to reclassify all your Movies as Home Videos. Sigh.
Apple's Videos app development team seem to be unaware that iTunes can store and play movies and TV shows that don't come from the iTunes Store, videos that don't have covers, and that need to display the names and other info from iTunes for them. They also seem to not understand that the default grid view for videos is totally inadequate for users with scores or hundreds of movies and TV shows that they home share to their iPads and iPhones from iTunes. The Videos app needs a list view at least, as well as a grid view.
All they have to do is look at how the Apple TV handles the same files and meta-data from iTunes and provide something similar for the iPad and iPhone. Why after all these years they still don't get that I have no idea.
