Font.setColor(Color.blue);   for labels.

Hi,
I am having some trouble with changing the colour of my font:
The colour was fine until my OS was updated and now it has changed from that nice purplish(#666699 ) to black.
Is there anyway of saying something like:
Font myFont = new Font("Garamond", Font.BOLD, 24);
myFont.setColor(Color.blue);
or even an rgb value? I dont want to paint it to a canvas - it is for a label.
Thanks in advance,
K

by the way, you can use RGB codes if you want. So like if you wanted say a navy blue, you could do:
label.setForeground(new Color(0,0,100));

    Right-click the title bar of any of the panels in the righthand column of the Develop module (for example, the Basic panel) and choose "Adjustments" from the panel list that appears.

  • Setting color for labels

    I've just been reading the look-and-feel guidelines, and they suggest using Primary 1 (#666699) for labels for components in the GUI. However, they don't suggest how to get this programatically. The examples use resource bundles to get strings (i.e. resources.getString(componentName.labelString) but they don't explain how to set up and best use a resource bundle.
    What is the easiest way to set the color of a label to "Primary 1" for the current look-and-feel.
    Our apps are currently not at all internationalised, so we don't have any existing resource bundles.
    Cheers,

  • How do I customize the font's color for a custom persona

    I'm using custom personas for my Firefox browser, but some of the personas that came with its own customize font's color sometimes is making me hard to see the font, especially when a persona's background color is exactly the same color as the font's.....
    So, I was wondering is there any way that I could customize or changing the font's color, so that I can see the font clearly ? ? ?
    And by the way, can a second-party user customize a persona that is created by the original publisher(meaning the original creator of the persona) ? ? ?
    Many thanks for assist.

    If you have installed a persona then the default text and background color of the toolbars are defined by that persona.
    The currently selected persona is stored as the first entry in the pref <b>lightweightThemes.usedThemes</b> as textcolor and accentcolor.
    You can edit that pref and set another value for the "textcolor":"#ffffff" part (e.g. "textcolor":"#000000").
    To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

  • Fonts and Colors for Sub-Tabs

    Does anyone know of a way that I can specifiy fonts and colors
    for sub-tabs. I have a second row of tabs (sub-tabs) on one of
    my pages and I can't seem to find where I can set the font and
    colors for the sub-tabs. Also, the sub-tabs do not inherit the
    same font and color as the main tabs.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi, What I can tell you is that you can either edit the page and
    hit the style tab then edit the current style(the one you are
    currently using in your page) and change all the banners tabs
    (active and inactive) the background color, background image,
    etc, I believe the second tab row and any others are by default
    the same as the first row.

  • Change (default) color 'blue'

    Hello experts,
    my problem: i want to change the default color 'blue'. In 'green'. I meen for example ui-element captions is with the attribute rowBackgroundDesign blue, or by tables with CellDesign standard are the readOnly columns blue. I want it in green.
    Can anybody help me? What must i do?
    Thanks for help
    greetings
    Raier

    Hi Rainer,
    there is no direct property like semanticcolor for label , you have to change through kind off design..
    which release you are working on.. i have an idea u go to application configuration in admin mode and go to UI element property and as ulltimately HTML is rendered so there is a trick to handle this..
    For the “Width” parameter, you enter
    6ex; color: white; font-weight:bold; background-color: yellow
    this is a trick and it works for releases prior to NW 7.1
    Let me know if it needs more explanation..

  • How do I change font and colors back to default?

    I have changed the font and color of the text through the tools button and the options button and the content tab. I find nothing telling me how to change the font and colors back to default font and colors. Can you advise me? I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Thanks.

    Hi Brenda19605,
    You can use this article to set the fonts and colors: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-fonts-and-colors-websites-use?esab=a&s=font&r=0&as=s
    The default settings for the font are in this article:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Some%20text%20shows%20up%20bold%20after%20upgrade
    Unfortunately for the default colors has no good reference. But for text it is black (most lower left) color, background is white (most upper left color). Unvisited links is blue (column 8, row 5) and visited link is purple (column 9, row 5).
    Let me know if you need anymore help!

  • LineChart and -fx-text-fill issue: how do I change the color of the labels

    Hello everyone,
    I'm currently facing an issue when I'm trying to style my LineChart with some CSS. Indeed I would like to change the color of the labels of my xAxis (CategoryAxis) and yAxis (NumberAxis) but it's not working.
    In my FXML file I tried to use the style attribute on my LineChart tag using: <LineChart style="-fx-text-fill: white"> with no result, the text remains black (even for the title of my chart). In order to know if the style attribute is well parsed I changed it to: style="-fx-background-color: red; -fx-text-fill: white;". The background is becoming red but the text still remains black.
    Finally I tried to define a stylesheet in my controller class with the same properties (red background and white text). My stylesheet is this one:
    .chart {
        -fx-text-fill: white;
        -fx-background-color: red;
    }In my controller I do the following line in order to load my CSS file:
    this.chart.getStylesheets().add(getClass().getResource("statistics-style.css").toExternalForm());Even with this option the text remains white, while the background becomes red.
    What I also tried is to put the -fx-text-file CSS property directly on my axises, but again it seems it is ignored.
    I followed the steps described in Figure 8-2 of this site: http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/charts/css-styles.htm
    Does anybody have an idea or encountered this issue?
    Thank you very much,
    Thierry.

    Hi,
    I figured a solution out to solve my problem. Currently in the documentation it is said to redefine the .chart CSS class in order to change the color of the title and labels text. But this is not working. Strangely the following code changes the font-size of both title and labels but ignores the -fx-text-fill property:
    .chart {
      -fx-font-size: 20pt;
      -fx-text-fill: white;
    }In order to change the color of the title I override the .chart-title CSS class:
    .chart-title {
      -fx-text-fill: white;
    }And for the labels:
    .axis-label {
      -fx-text-fill: white;
    }Well I don't know if there still is a bug on the .chart CSS class or maybe that behavior is expected.
