  • Vendor text font needs to be changes to appear in PO header.

    Hi ,
    I am trying to fit some vendor text (P. org level) from vendor master in PO header area.
    The PO header area is restricted and i dont want to change my PO form.
    So, i can currently fit only 3 - 4 lines of text while i need to fit 6 lines of text.
    There must be a way to make the font smaller, but only the vendor master PO text format should get changed, no other default fonts.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Ritika

    Hi Lakshman,
    Thanks for your reply. I have been looking into it since i posted the question but looks like the font is fine, any smaller and noone will be able to read. And we dont want to touch the PO form too as it will change everything globally which we do not want. That will be the last resort.

  • CS3/AS2 -Text Scroll Box Cannot Embed Font, Need To Link Font From Server??

    Hi all - ok here goes somethin
    So I bought a text scroller flash file and am now trying to tailor it to my needs.
    This is it: http://activeden.net/item/dynamic-external-text-scroll-with-easing/2612
    It is composed of several movieclips which link to the an external text file. The external file starts off with this
    mytext= <font color="#000000" size="7">BACKGROUND</font>
    This file determines the size and color of the font but does not define the actual font itself, it also contains the content. There is a movieclip within the flash file where you can denote a device font or embed a font from the properties panel.
    Starting off I simply picked my font from the properties panel and used "anti-alias for animation". This seemed to work fine on the Flash preview and also once published online. However, once I used another computer to view my site the font changed and reverted to a default. This leads me to believe the font is linked to each computers font library. I am wondering if there is a way to override this and to link the font to a place on my server?
    I also tried to embed my font via the properties panel but it looks warped and unrecognizable, so thats out. Unless there is another way to embed fonts that stays true to the font?
    To add more fuel to the fire, the font I have to use is not html safe .. "Gotham" to be exact.
    You can see the issue here on the 'about' and 'links' page
    http://nicoleginelli.com/weeks/index_9.html
    Help meeeeee!
    - Nicole

    I tried this but the text looks warped and much different than it should. Seems anyway I embed it in the properties panel looks this way.. any other options??

  • What are the system fonts needed for Lion to run?

    I work in a Prepress Department and the only way to properly work with fonts in this enviroment is to have the bare minimum fonts necessary for an OS to run correctly which is usually around 30 or less fonts. Then we use suitcase to load fonts provided by customers and we know for sure we are using the exact fonts used to build the job say in Quark or Indesign. Before moving system fonts from Lion into a disabled folder I was hoping for a list of sysytem fonts that are absolutely needed to run Lion without issues.

  • Newer version of MT Extra Font needed

    When I open both MathType and Word's Equation Editor I get a warning saying that I need a newer version of the MT Extra Font than is currently active.  I should reinstall MathType, although it was installed only less than a month ago, or manually disable the older version located in Library:Fonts:Equation Editor Fonts.  Can't find any info on this on the Web.  Any suggestions?

    Have you by chance seen this article? http://www.dessci.com/en/support/mathtype/tsn/tsn84.htm

  • Fonts needed to run OS 10.9

    I am having font conflicts using InDesign CS 5. I used Font Book to turn off nearly everything, but then I found that many fonts still resided in the Fonts folder in my Library. (I suspect that they were dropped onto the folder when some apps did not read them.)
    Now, I want to manually remove all of the fonts that are not needed for running the system. Where can I find a list of these fonts?

    Thanks Kappy and kahjot....I did find it   I'll give it a try

  • Problems with some fonts, need help!

    Hi everyone,
    Recently I need to create some documents in Pages and I found some problems with some of the fonts. Apparently some fonts when the font size is increased the spacing between characters gets reduced and ooks very weird.
    http://img109.imageshack.us/i/screencapturem.png/
    I've tried all type of configs in pages and i'm really clueless what this is.
    Can anyone please give me some pointers?
    Thank you in advanced,
    Prismer

    This leaves several files instaled. Among them are the preferences files. If you re-install with existing preferences files, these one aren't replaced by new, clean, ones.
    Right, uninstalling the application does not necessarily uninstall its preferences. (Indeed, previous InDesign and QuarkXPress betas had the problem that they preserved the older preferences when the newer betas were installed which could lead to crashes.)
    Arguably, system software has to have smart install / uninstall so that all the files installed by an application are removed, but then what about fonts and / or profiles installed with the application, which some other application may be using as a resource.
    I don't know, but the word 'simple' and the word 'software' don't seem ever to be synonyms .

  • How to add a specific font needed for a particular web site?

    The web site "www.gadima.com" requires the Marathi font (True Type), for displaying its content properly in Marathi language. This font is already installed in the CentOs. Firefox does not display the information in proper Marathi fonts, but displays only garbage.
    I already set this "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
    still this not work..
    In opera this web site displays proper marathi font.
    I have "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.24) Gecko/20111109 CentOS/3.6-3.el5.centos AlexaToolbar/alxf-2.14 Firefox/3.6.24"

    Did you install all 5 fonts?
    *http://www.gadima.com/help.php
    EDIT:
    I see the same on Linux in Firefox 3.6.25, so it looks that the MillenniumGanesh and LscapeRegDevPriya fonts aren't working in Firefox 3.6.25 (it works for me in Firefox 9).

  • Specified font need to be changed in all paragraph styles

    Hi All,
    Is there any option to change a font which is used in many paragarph styles to some other font.
    Thanks in advance,

    ok.. this should work for most cases:
    function main(){
              var doc=app.activeDocument;
              var myDialog= new Window("dialog","Font replacer");
              var grp1=myDialog.add("group");
              var panel1=grp1.add("panel",undefined,"Find font:");
              var panel2=grp1.add("panel",undefined,"Change font:");
              var findFonts=doc.fonts.everyItem().name.join("\r").replace(/\t/g,":").split("\r");
              var chFonts=app.fonts.everyItem().name.join("\r").replace(/\t/g,":").split("\r");
              var myFindDrop=panel1.add("dropdownlist",undefined,findFonts);
              var myChDrop=panel2.add("dropdownlist",undefined,chFonts);
              myDialog.add("button",undefined,"Ok",{name:"ok"});
              myDialog.add("button",undefined,"Cancel",{name:"cancel"});
              myFindDrop.selection=myFindDrop.items[0];
              myChDrop.selection=myChDrop.items[0];
              if (myDialog.show()) {
                        var pstyles = doc.allParagraphStyles;
                        var cstyles = doc.allCharacterStyles;
                        var ffont = myFindDrop.selection.text.replace(/:/g,"\t");
                        var tfont = myChDrop.selection.text.replace(/:/g,"\t");
                        for (var a = 1; a < pstyles.length; a++) {
                                  if (pstyles[a].appliedFont.name==ffont) {
                                            pstyles[a].appliedFont = tfont;
                        for (var i = 1; i < cstyles.length; i++) {
                                  if ((cstyles[i].appliedFont+'\t'+cstyles[i].fontStyle==ffont)||(cstyles[i].appliedFont.name==ffont)) {
                                            cstyles[i].appliedFont = tfont;
    }app.doScript("main()",undefined,undefined,UndoModes.fastEntireScript,'Global Change Font');
    When i'll have the time i'll probably do a more advanced version, to change font families or just font variants etc.
    However, for your example, it won't change the character style "three". I'm curious about how did you defined that style because while in the interface it shows that the applied font is "Minion Pro" and the font style is "Regular", when i get the font Style property from the script it reports as "Roman". Very very wierd.

  • Why do Fonts need to be patched to look good?

    Don't get me wrong, this should really not be a rant or so. I'm just curious: Obviously, there are some font configurations which look good and some which don't look so nice. For example, many users don't like default configurations (aliasing problems...) but do like alternative ones like infinality.
    So why aren't the good-looking configurations set by default in many distributions? What is the advantage in the default configurations used instead?

    flannelhead wrote:the Adobe rasterizer only works with CFF fonts (which TrueType fonts are not)
    Yup, that's why it's of little interest
    I didn't really like it...
    look better on that than Infinality
    You guys are forgetting, or never bothered to check in the first place, that Infinality is not just what bohoomil pre-packaged for you. It's got a ton of tweakability, so EXPERIMENT with it to see what you like, e.g.:
    export INFINALITY_FT_FILTER_PARAMS="14 20 32 20 14"
    export INFINALITY_FT_FRINGE_FILTER_STRENGTH="30"
    export INFINALITY_FT_AUTOHINT_VERTICAL_STEM_DARKEN_STRENGTH="20"

  • Tiny font needed

    I've migrated a little booklet I have printed yearly into Pages from PageMaker on the PC. The centerfold of it contains information in very small type. What mac font would be best to use? On the PC I was using 8 point Arial...
    Thanks for any pointers you can give.

    That was too big, and I agree there should be no difference. But I've now discovered Font Book, and there seem to be several choices that are smaller. On the PC side, I know there have been a few fonts advertised as looking good in small print, but I tried to search for that without luck.
    Now I'll play with FOnt BOok. Thanks!

  • Arial Bold Italic font - need

    Any bright individual have an idea where I can find this font?

    Snowyeti,
    I found a folder titled 13 with en_US after it, moved it, did nothing....
    That is not the folder in question. I believe you should move it back.
    Presuming you have CS3, the folder name should be Adobe Illustrator CS3 Settings.
    Similar for other versions from CS on.
    Can you access the Arial Bold Italic, and other styles, in other applications? If so, the issue is in Illy. If not, something may be missing in the Fonts folder (Window speak, I do not know the folder name in Mac), but that is more unlikely.

  • Mac Entourage Installed Fonts - Which Are Needed?

    We just had to load Microsoft Entourage onto our Mac OSX stations at my workplace (10.3.9 and 10.4.8) to replace using the OSX's Mail program in order to work with our Windows Servers.
    Don't ask me why! I'm not happy about it. Mail was working great until the "Powers That Be" decided to move our mail server to another area.
    The Entourage install loaded A TON of fonts into the User Font Folder.
    Anyone know what Entourage fonts need to stay and what can safely be removed?

    I will answer my own question, in case anyone was wondering.
    After the EntouRAGE install, go to it's preferences and the Fonts section. Then make sure you choose fonts that are in your System Library.
    Then it is safe to uninstall the 50+ fonts Microsoft installed.
