Footer information in very page

Hi All ,
I need to print footer information which also contains some form field in every page. Can anybody put some lights on it ? thanks in advance
Sanjay

Hi Paul ,
Thanks a lot for your reply, it works but doesnt fullfill my criteria properly. Actually I didnt make you understand the problem very clearly in my earlier mail. The
situation is, I am building a PO printing template where I have
1. A header section - will repeat in every page
2. A Detail - Can break accross page
3. A summary ( Summation ) part - will repeat in every page, it looks like
Buyer _____ Phone _____ Fax ______ Tax _______
Email _____ Signature______ Date ______ Total _______
Everything is going fine when a purchase order and its lines are limited within a page . But when a PO is broken accross page the 3rd part that is the summary part is not printing in every page.It is only coming at the end of each PO. My criteria is I have to print this Summary part in every page and when there is a PO which spans accross multiple page then in the first page and in the subsequent page a string "Continued" should be print in the "Total" field and at the end of that
PO the actual Total value which is coming from a header tag should be print .
Thanks in advance.

  • Page footer information is missing for the first page alone.

    Hi All,
    After exporting to text format, Page footer information is missing for the first page alone. Any reasons?
    Thanks for any help !!
    Rgds,
    Shriram

    If you search the Business Objects Articles (see the link to the left on this page) for Export Limitations documents you'll see that page footers/headers are not supported when exporting to Text format (same for Page N of M.
    If you open up a text file in Notepad - you'll notice that there is no Insert | Page Break (as there is in MS Word).
    CR can't possibly know in advance where the page breaks will occur in a text document (or the application in which the document is opened) so most anything in CR having to do with pagination is not supported when exporting to Text.
    The Export Limitations document is a handy item if you do a lot of exporting.

  • Pages Default Footer Information

    I just installed a new copy of Pages '09 on my work MBP. When I select a new file from template, it's filling in the footer information with my previous company's information. It's also labeling the default logo with my previous company's name. I don't understand how this happened since this is a different company, with a different computer, etc. How do I reset this?
    Thanks!

    You probably have all that information about you in the Address book. Open the Address book in the Application folder and select you "card". Click on edit at the bottom list. Change the information to some you want to have. When done click on Edit again to keep the new info.
    Try opening a template in Pages again and see if you now have the "right" information.

  • Posting identifying field information on following pages

    On our main application form, the identity of the submitter is only on the first page, so subsequent pages, once printed, can be confused with other submitters if not physically kept together.  I would like to have the ability to repeat a field as "display/print only" at the top of each page or in a header/footer in order to put identifying information on following pages.  I realize the answer is "Forms Central currently doesn't allow piping of data to other fields".  A possible workaround, though not ideal, would be an optional date/time stamp in the header or footer or some other unique identifier that would allow matching up of printed content. Ken Brown, webmanager.

    I checked every subform, table and row. Everywhere "Allow pages Breaks within Content" is checked. There are only cells in row and subform "add row/remove row" without "Allow pages Breaks within Content" but I haven't possibility to do it because these boxes inactive. If I understood correctly you have found some items without "Allow pages.." but where?. Please advise.

    Steve you are right. I found not marked boxes in tables and row but these tables are not requested to expand as I want. I discovered reason why a row can not be expanded on next pages even "Allow pages Breaks within Content" marked. The reason is table with columns more then two. When I reduce quantity of column up to 2, everything works propely. If I try to add third column in my table it is not possibility to expand row in few pages. Could you advise me about  this bug. What I need to do. Thanks a lot for you response.

  • ALV printing error - Footer on 3 different pages

    Hi all,
    I created an report which outputs an ALV grid (full screen) with a header and a footer. The ALV grid is created with class CL_SALV_TABLE (incl. methods set_top_of_list for the header, resp. set_end_of_list for the footer). This all works correctly and the print preview looks fine too.
    Problem is a very strange print output:
    In most cases, printing works fine. But sometimes the output is wrongly formatted: is the footer to be printed on two different pages (i.e. the footer is partly printed on the current page, the rest on the next page), the footer will be printed on three pages! The first part on the current page (correct), only one line at the bottom of the second page (wrong) and the rest of the footer on the third page (wrong)! Could it be that this is a print setting problem? Should I add special footer settings?
    I already checked SDN forums and looked at SAP Notes for solutions but could not found any tip on how to solve this.
    Does anyone of you had the same issue before? Or does anyone has an idea how this problem could be solved?
    Thanks a lot!!

    Need suggestions please.

    A lock object is a virtual link of several SAP tables which is used to synchronize simultaneous access by two users to the same set of data ( SAP lock concept).
    Locks are requested and released in the programming of online transactions by calling certain function modules which are automatically generated from the definition of the lock objects. These lock objects must be explicitly created in the ABAP Dictionary.
    <b>To set locks, you must perform the following steps:</b>
    1. You must define a lock object in the ABAP Dictionary. The name of the lock object should begin with E.
    2. The function modules for requesting and releasing locks which are created automatically when the lock object is activated must be linked to the programming of the relevant online transactions.
    <u><b>Reasons for Setting Locks</b></u>
    Suppose a travel agent want to book a flight. The customer wants to fly to a particular city with a certain airline on a certain day. The booking must only be possible if there are still free places on the flight. To avoid the possibility of overbooking, the database entry corresponding to the flight must be locked against access from other transactions. This ensures that one user can find out the number of free places, make the booking, and change the number of free places without the data being changed in the meantime by another transaction.
    <u><b>Lock Mechanisms in the Database System</b></u>
    The database system automatically sets database locks when it receives change statements (INSERT, UPDATE, MODIFY, DELETE) from a program. Database locks are physical locks on the database entries affected by these statements. You can only set a lock for an existing database entry, since the lock mechanism uses a lock flag in the entry. These flags are automatically deleted in each database commit. This means that database locks can never be set for longer than a single database LUW; in other words, a single dialog step in an R/3 application program.
    Physical locks in the database system are therefore insufficient for the requirements of an R/3 transaction. Locks in the R/3 System must remain set for the duration of a whole SAP LUW, that is, over several dialog steps. They must also be capable of being handled by different work processes and even different application servers. Consequently, each lock must apply on all servers in that R/3 System.
    <u><b>SAP Locks</b></u>
    To complement the SAP LUW concept, in which bundled database changes are made in a single database LUW, the R/3 System also contains a lock mechanism, fully independent of database locks, that allows you to set a lock that spans several dialog steps. These locks are known as SAP locks.
    The SAP lock concept is based on lock objects. Lock objects allow you to set an SAP lock for an entire application object. An application object consists of one or more entries in a database table, or entries from more than one database table that are linked using foreign key relationships.
    Before you can set an SAP lock in an ABAP program, you must first create a lock object in the ABAP Dictionary. A lock object definition contains the database tables and their key fields on the basis of which you want to set a lock. When you create a lock object, the system automatically generates two function modules with the names ENQUEUE_<lock object name> and DEQUEUE_<lock object name> . You can then set and release SAP locks in your ABAP program by calling these function modules in a CALL FUNCTION statement.
    <u><b>Lock Types</b></u>
    There are two types of lock in the R/3 System:
    <u><b>
    Shared lock</b></u>
    Shared locks (or read locks) allow you to prevent data from being changed while you are reading it. They prevent other programs from setting an exclusive lock (write lock) to change the object. It does not, however, prevent other programs from setting further read locks.
    <u><b>Exclusive lock</b></u>
    Exclusive locks (or write locks) allow you to prevent data from being changed while you are changing it yourself. An exclusive lock, as its name suggests, locks an application object for exclusive use by the program that sets it. No other program can then set either a shared lock or an exclusive lock for the same application object.
    example uses the lock object ESFLIGHT and its function modules ENQUEUE_ESFLIGHT and DEQUEUE_ESFLIGHT to lock and unlock the object.
    For more information about creating lock objects and the corresponding function modules, refer to the Lock objects section of the ABAP Dictionary documentation.
    The PAI processing for screen 100 in this transaction processes the user input and prepares for the requested action (Change or Display). If the user chooses Change, the program locks the relevant database object by calling the corresponding ENQUEUE function.
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100 INPUT.
      CASE OK_CODE.
        WHEN 'SHOW'....
        WHEN 'CHNG'.
    * <...Authority-check and other code...>
          CALL FUNCTION 'ENQUEUE_ESFLIGHT'
    EXPORTING
    MANDT = SY-MANDT
    CARRID = SPFLI-CARRID
    CONNID = SPFLI-CONNID
    EXCEPTIONS
    FOREIGN_LOCK = 1
    SYSTEM_FAILURE = 2
    OTHERS = 3.
    IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID
    TYPE 'E'
    NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
          ENDIF.
    The ENQUEUE function module can trigger the following exceptions:
    FOREIGN_LOCK determines whether a conflicting lock already exists. The system variable SY-MSGV1 contains the name of the user that owns the lock.
    The SYSTEM_FAILURE exception is triggered if the enqueue server is unable to set the lock for technical reasons.
    At the end of a transaction, the locks are released automatically. However, there are exceptions if you have called update routines within the transaction. You can release a lock explicitly by calling the corresponding DEQUEUE module. As the programmer, you must decide for yourself the point at which it makes most sense to release the locks (for example, to make the data available to other transactions).
    If you need to use the DEQUEUE function module call several times in a program, it makes good sense to write it in a subroutine, which you then call as required.
    The subroutine UNLOCK_FLIGHT calls the DEQUEUE function module for the lock object ESFLIGHT:
    FORM UNLOCK_FLIGHT.
         CALL FUNCTION 'DEQUEUE_ESFLIGHT'
              EXPORTING
                  MANDT     = SY-MANDT
                  CARRID    = SPFLI-CARRID
                  CONNID    = SPFLI-CONNID
              EXCEPTIONS
                  OTHERS    = 1.
         SET SCREEN 100.
    ENDFORM.
    You might use this for the BACK and EXIT functions in a PAI module for screen 200 in this example transaction. In the program, the system checks whether the user leaves the screen without having saved his or her changes. If so, the PROMPT_AND_SAVE routine sends a reminder, and gives the user the opportunity to save the changes. The flight can be unlocked by calling the UNLOCK_FLIGHT subroutine.
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0200 INPUT.
      CASE OK_CODE.
        WHEN 'SAVE'....
        WHEN 'EXIT'.
          CLEAR OK_CODE.
          IF OLD_SPFLI NE SPFLI.
             PERFORM PROMPT_AND_SAVE.
          ENDIF.
          PERFORM UNLOCK_FLIGHT.
          LEAVE TO SCREEN 0.
        WHEN 'BACK'....

  • How can I carry information from one page to another page???

    Hi, I have two different pages, and two different tables on them. Like city and house pages and tables. I wantto add new record in house tables which depends on city tables and they must on be different pages, I mean I cant use master detail tables or master detail forms.
    So this is the problem :This two tables have same column called cityId. And I have a button on city page called " create new house"How can I carry Cityid information from city page to haouse page when I pushed the button.Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
    I would suggest using something like what eax23 proposed, but using pageFlowScope instead. So in the 1st page:
    <af:commandButton .....>
      <af:setActionListener from="cityID" to="#{pageFlowScope.cityID}"/>
    </af:commandButton>In the second page you have your managed bean read the cityID from the page flow scope directly. This will prevent having issues from the bean scope that eax23 solution could cause sometimes.

  • Need to remove the header and footer regions on one page

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to remove the header and footer regions on one page only. The regions I'm referring to contain the following:
    Header:
    Company logo, Home link, Logout link, Preferences link
    Footer:
    Copyright info, Privacy Statement, Home link, Logout link, Preferences link
    These are the standard Oracle header and footer regions/page items, so I am not specifying a particular page name, although it would be the create time cards page we want to modify.
    Also, we only want to remove these regions/items from ONE page, not an entire responsibility.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Suzanne

    Hi,
    In order to hide,
    Home link, Logout link, Preferences link
    Use this code in the processrequest of the controller on the page on which you want tohide these
    OAPageLayoutBean page = pageContext.getPageLayoutBean();
    page.prepareForRendering(pageContext);
    page.setGlobalButtons((oracle.cabo.ui.UINode)null);
    And for hiding the Copyright info, Privacy Statement:
    Click on Personalise page link
    then Click on Choose Context
    Choose "OAFooter" as Scope
    and click "Apply"
    and then Personalise the Copyright and Privay Statememnt icon and set rendered as False.

  • Error message "Page header or footer longer than a page"

    Hi
    Our application call crystal report to generate/display crystal report in PDF format. We have a dev system to test this, all looking good, however when we moved to production server, the attached error message is displayed when running crystal report.
    Invoking method GENERATEREPORT returned error Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.
    Error in File C:\DOCUME~1\SERV
    IC1.LIM\LOCALS1\Temp\temp coq new xxxx.rpt:
    Page header or footer longer than a page.
    Same report doesnu2019t get this error message if running it from crystal report developer.
    Not all crystal reports got this error, but some of reports display strange view in PDF, the content of report are reduced in a paper size like label size, not A4 size.  I have checked the default printer on the server, it points to a normal window printer, not a label printer. I have checked all possible settings on production server and compared with dev server, all looks same to me
    I suspect the label printing size is used somehow when the report is previewed in pdf format, not normal A4 size although I have selected a normal window printer as a default printer on the window,what else should i check?
    Could you please shed some light on this?
    Thanks!
    Li

    I found the issue is from label printer that is setup on the production server. After I removed the label printer from the server, then error message is gone, all report running fine.
    This label printer is not the default window printer, it is a network printer but is configured as a printer using local port on the server.
    I think for some reasons, crystal report alway picks up the label printer page size, not the normla page size, I am not sure why and how crystal report do this, it should pick up the default printer, which is a normal printer.
    There is no error when I run report within CR. The error happens only when I try to generate crystal report from our application.
    I do have logo in page header/footer, subreports in report footer, but I don't think they cause the problem, because I can run same report without any problem in dev system.
    Any idea what I should check next?
    Thanks

  • Table footer issue in body page of adobe form

    Form has 1 master page and 1 body page. Body page has table within which there is a footer header and detail (2 footers) in the form. My intention is to make footer (both the footers) appear in the last page of the form. For most of the scenarios, footer is displayed at the last page or if it has only 1 page to display, it shows in the first page itself.
    But issue arises when number of rows reaches the maximum length of body page. Let's say, body page can accommodate 11 rows, then footer header is displayed in 1st page but footer detail is shown in next page (2nd page).  I want to show both of these in the last page with 11th record in the last page without any break.
    I've tried below options:
    1. Group both footers as a section and check "Include footer row in final page" in pagination tab.
    2. Mark both the footers individually with check "Include footer row in final page" in pagination tab.
    Is there any other option that I need to look for to solve this issue?

    Thank you Norbert. That solved the problem.
    I've one more question relating to this. Let's say I can only display 11 records in one page with these 2 footer. For 12 records, 2nd page shows last record with these 2 footers. 10 records will be displayed in one page properly. But when it comes to 11 records, 1st page shows all of 11 records and 2 footers with a page header will be shown in 2nd page. Is there a way to control this dynamically so that whenever 11th record needs to be shown, even though body page(or subform) can accommodate 11 records, show the 11th in 2nd page with footers?
    Thanks,
    Phani

  • Table footer printed in next page without upper border line

    Hi Experts
    I am faceing a problem regarding printing of smartform. I have 2 tables under one LOOP control, TABLE2 and TABLE1 respectivelity. TABLE2 display the Header data and TABLE1 displays the Item data under Main window.
    TABLE2 has no ROWs  under table Footer section. TABLE1 has footer and I want to print the TABLE1 footer according to the page size, for that I have added a Folder under TABLE1 footer section and then create the line type under that Footer, also check the Page Protection check box. I manage to print the Footer in next page according to the page size but when the Footer goes to next page for printing the upper line border of Footer section is not dislayed.
    Please give some tips or example, how to manage the Footer at print time.

    Hi,
    Yes your problem is common because of two different line types while you are selecting the pattren the
    pattern is assuming that the pattern is selected for the entire two line types.
    solutions are
    1). Use same line type for both footer and item
    2). create a window with a template and copy the same for both the pages and put a check box
        in the conditons of your window as only after end of main window.
    3). Create windows with the lines you required with the postions(but not advisible because page numbers or line items lenghts are dynamic) .
    Thanks,
    Phani.

  • I want to print an entire URL in the footer of a print page. How can I do this?

    I want the complete URL of a webpage to be printed in the footer section of the printout. When I have the URL printed in the far left footer section it gets cutoff by the center footer section which is cut off by the far right footer section.

    Firefox cuts off the URL in your printout, if it's really long, and you also have on the same line (header or footer), the Date and Pages
    What I have summarized below is based on this page . . . http://www.watchingthenet.com/how-to-change-or-customize-firefox-printing-defaults.html
    I have two questions:
    To fix, do a custom setting, for the Header and Footer as follows:
    Print / Page Setup / Margins & Header/Footer / "Customize" the "Left" as follows (leave Center and Right all blank)
    &T
    &U . . . . . . . &D . . . . . . . &PT
    &D shows the Short date as: M/d/yyyy - and then the time
    To change the format of the Short date in Win 8.1, go to:
    Control Panel / Date and Time / Date and Time tab / Change date and time / Change calendar settings /
    Date / Short date . . . change from M/d/yyyy . . . to . . . MM/dd/yy
    QUESTIONS:
    1.) How do you get rid of the time, which appears after the date? In IE, you use a lowercase "d" - but that doesn't work here.
    2.) Is there a way to change the font just for the Header and Footer, to something like Microsoft Sans Serif 10?
    Firefox leaves no room around the text in the Header and Footer at the edge. To fix:
    Address Bar / about:config
    Enter keyword "edge"
    Then change all four values for the printer you're using to:
    print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_bottom . . . 5
    print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_left . . . 10
    print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_right . . . 10
    print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_top . . . 5

  • How do I get the user information for a page?

    I would like to display information about the person that created a page in CQ.  I know I can get the createdBy information from the page properties, but how can I turn that into a user object where I can get more detialed information about that user?

    If you are within an OSGi bundle you can use the SlingRepository Service. Now it depends how you develop your OSGi services and components. I use the maven scr plugin for this. With this plugin it is possible to get references to services with java annotaions.
    Example:
    @Component(name="SampleService",
            label = "SampleService",
            description = "SampleService",
            immediate = true, enabled = true, metatype = true)
    @Services({ @Service(value = SampleService.class) })
    @Properties({
    @Property(name = "service.description", value = "SampleService"),
    @Property(name = "service.vendor", value = ") })
    public class SampleServiceImpl implements SampleService
    @Reference(policy = ReferencePolicy.STATIC)
    private SlingRepository repository;
        public void openAdminSession() {
            Session session = null;
            if (repository != null) {
                try {
                    session = repository.loginAdministrative(null);
                    //do something here
                } catch (RepositoryException e) {
                    LOG.error("Unable to open admin session:" + e.toString());
                } finally{
                                              if(session != null){
                          session.logout();
    To access a service from a JSP page you can use the reference of the SlingScriptHelper. You have to use the <cq:defineObjects/> tag.
    Example jsp:
    <cq:defineObjects/>
    SlingRepository repository = sling.getService(SlingRepository.class);
    Session session = null;
            if (repository != null) {
                try {
                    session = repository.loginAdministrative(null);
                    //do something here
                } catch (RepositoryException e) {
                    LOG.error("Unable to open admin session:" + e.toString());
                } finally{
                                              if(session != null){
                          session.logout();
