For every 2 hours run

Hi,
I am runing program for every 2 hours,
suppose,if no data found, job log dispays message " no data found".
or if job retrive data after job cancel.how will you do?
due to some reasons.
if next time runs also that job next two hous data not job cancel (data).
how will we execute the job ?
give any code or suggestions.

Dear Gurus
No start after function is not working to prevent the job running after specified period (eg .6.pm).According to ABAPer that is time period the job will try to excute if there is a delay due to Que in Job excution.
Please guide is there any other way to schedule the job only between specific time

Hello.
I have a brand new ThinkPad T500 2055-A16 with Windows Vista Business. I have a WiFi connection problem. It is not a signal strength problem, as it doesn't work even if I place the computer right next to the access point with no other wireless equipment near by.
None of my other computers experience this problem. I even bought another ThinkPad T500 2055-A16 at the same time as this one, and that does not have the problem either. The problem is when I connect to a network using WPA2-PSK or WPA-PSK. The connection works fine for half an hour, an hour or two hours, but then without warning, the connection is lost and it is not possible to reconnect for half a minute, a minute or two minutes. The exact times vary. When I switch the network to use WEP or no encryption, everything works fine. But I don't like to use no encryption and I cannot use WEP because I have other computers in my home which does not support WEP.
I had this problem right from the beginning the first time I used the computer. I have tried many things like disabling power management or IPv6 and other things suggested by my ISP, but it did not change anything, so I switched them back to their default value. I have also tried to update the driver for the Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN card, but that didn't help the problem. The problem became slightly less annoying when I uninstalled Access Connections, because Vista would then reconnect as soon as it could, whereas I in Access Connections would have to continuously press the connect button until it succeeded. But the problem is still a real pain.
Some pieces from the Windows Event Viewer, which I think looks interesting (these occur regularly at exactly the same timestamps as when the connection is lost):

Security and Authentication: Fail

Result of diagnosis: Problem found
Issue referred to: L2Sec Helper Class
I also see the following message on my access point's log, which also occur at exactly the times when the connection is lost:

(The number match the MAC address of my computer)
The only other message which is logged on my Access Point when all log options are enabled is "Time initialized by NTP server".
How can I solve this problem so that I can have undisrupted wireless Internet access?

Edit: Actually my other ThinkPad T500 2055-A16 also fails in the same way, but my ThinkPad SL500 2746-9BG and my Medion laptops works fine, also running Vista.

Running automator on the hour every hour

I am trying to set up an image action to run every hour on the hour with out having to make an iCal entry for every hour. Also I unfortunately can't make the folder a hot folder beacuse it is a windows server.
Is it possible the some one out their could help me with an apple script? The imaging script for automator is already made. I just would like a script to tell automator to run every hour.

Try using this application to set up a cron task for that action; to do this, set the min field to 0 and put a * in the other fields which determine when the task runs.

I wanted to take out a report for every one hour, the count, i used trunc(x_date,'hh24') to take the report, but the problem is, for few hours there wont be any count, so i have to substitute with zero there, any ideas ?,

If you want to make sure all hours appear in the result set, even if they don't appear in the table, then outer-join to a table (or, in the example below, a sub-query) where you know they do exist.
For example, if your table_x has columns entry_dt and amt, and you want results for every hour of the day, you can do somehting like this:

I wanted this function as well and I just downloaded "BBClendar Free" and it works perfectly for this, better than an inexpensive digital watch!
Just go to the Advanced section, enable the hourly beep and even set which hours (mine is 8 AM - 10 PM) and what minute of each hour it beeps on. Just be sure to leave the program open when you go on standby or it won't beep.
As the App's description says, "Hourly Beep helps you to take a moment to rest in a busy day for every hour."

NUmber of Patients in an A&E department every hour

I've got what for me is a tricky little problem. I want to be able to count the number of patients in our A&E department at every hour of every day.
I have access to the A&E Attendances tables that list the PatientID, ArrivalDateTime, DepartureDateTime etc so what I want to do is for example, look at how many people were in the department at 13:00hrs yesterday. This will be any patient that has arrived
before 13:00hrs and as yet does not have a departure date time. I want this to loop and do this calulation for every hour and every day between what ever start and end date parameters I pass into the query
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

One Job runs daily from 11am - 11pm, for every one hour its a RDA, to know the data about the sales on every hour of that day, every morning and the night i m doing manually scheduling and stopping the process, is there any process which the process can automatically run between 11am - 11pm daily for every one hour with out any manual effort, kindly suggest me if there is any process type.

in sm37 go to the ur job and select that and goto job in menu bar and say copy and give proper name and then select the copied job and agian goto job in menu and click then it takes to the next screen where you can select start condition and give timings and periodicity and save the job..

How to kill Forms Runaway Process using 95% CPU and running for 2 hours.

We had a situation at E-Business Suite customer (using Oracle VM server) where some of Form processes were not being cleared by form timeout settings automatically.
Also when user exits the form session from front end, the linux form process (PID) and DB session did not exit properly, so they got hung.
They were spiking CPU and memory usage and causing e-business suite to perform slowely and ultimately causing VM host to reboot the production VM guest (running on Linux).
We could see the form processes (PIDs) using almost 100% cpu with "top" command and running for a long time.
Also we verified those Form Sessions did not exist in the application itself.
ie. Using from Grid Control -> OAM-> Site Map -> Monitoring (tab) -> "Form Sessions".
It means that we could safely kill that form process from Linux using "kill -9 <PID>" command.
But that required a continuous monitoring and manual DBA intervention as customer is 24x7 customer.
So, I wrote a shell script to do the following;
•     Cron job runs every half an hour 7 days a week which calls this shell script.
•     Shell script runs and tries to find "top two" f60webmx processes (form sessions) using over 95% cpu with 2 minutes interval.
•     If no process is found or CPU% is less than 95%, it exits and does nothing.
•     If top process is found, it searches for its DB session using apps login (with hidden apps password file - /home/applmgr/.pwd).
a.     If DB session is NOT found (which means form process is hung), it kills the process from unix and emails results to <[email protected]>
b.     If DB session is found, it waits for 2 hours so that form process times automatically via form session timeout setting.
It also emails the SQL to check the DB session for that form process.
c.     If DB session is found and it does not timeout after 2 hours,
it kills the process from unix (which in turn kills the DB session). Output is emailed.
This are the files required for this;
1. Cron job which calls the shell script looks like this;

If you have the same problem with some other unix and DB processes, the script can be easily modified and used.
But use this with thorough testing first (by commenting out <kill -9 $PID1> lines.

Hi Ramesh,
You can use SM36 and use the "Job Wizard" to define a background job in simple step by step procedure
Or
Goto SM37 and specify a job name.
Next specify the ABAP Program Name of the report you want to execute under Job Step.
Then click on "Extended Job Selection" and goto the Period Tab.
There select "Only Periodic Jobs" and then specify the frequency of execution based on Months, Weeks, Days, Hours or Minutes.

We have option called daily but not hourly !!!

Found a solution. Create a unix script and run the command to start and stop the communication channel as per your requirement.
Below is the syntax. You can try using wget command or curl in unix followed by the below command

Why is the purge command running every hour, and freezing my system?

I noticed over the past several days that my mac pro will freeze for several seconds (clock stops, mouse/keyboard don't work. completely frozen) every hour, to the minute.
I've tracked it down to the "purge" command, which is causing the problem. But, I can't find where it's being called. Any hints where I might look to find the cause?
I don't believe this was happening a few days ago. I have installed all software updates.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.

Just below toolbar, Firefox is telling me "Downloading the lastest applications" - what is this and how can I stop it. It's been running for 2 hours.

Every time Firefox opened
== I opened the Firefox "Add-ons" window

Disable or uninstall the MSN/Bing toolbar.
