For some unbeknownst reason, my iTunes refuses to import any of my Madonna CD's!
I have never experienced any problems in the past when importing from CD's, I'm not using copies either - these are the original releases. I have randomly picked CD's from other artists to see if this problem applies to them and have found it doesn't. Why specifically Madonna?? Surely my iTunes can't disagree with my taste in music?! I've even copied the albums from a friend and tried importing the copies but get the same result - no music/ a distorted fuzzy version of the song.
At a guess these are copy controlled CDs. iTunes has been happy to accept all sorts of rubbish into my library.
Search the web for the album title and "Copy controlled" or "copy protected". The few times I have bought these types of disc I've been able to return them to the store as "not fit for purpose" but it may be too late for you on that count.

For some unknown reason my application "Remote" no longer works. I deleted it from my phone. Signed out of Itunes and back in. Turned back on home sharing and all that jazz but it says it cannot find my itunes library. Is anyone else having this problem and if so how did you fix it? Thx.

I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

For some strange reason the songs in my library are multiplying. For example, I really only have 4,000 songs but every time I open itunes I have 6,8,10,000 songs! Any one else have this problem. How do I stop that from happening? I keep having to delete my library!
This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

For some unknown reason, Itunes won't let me edit Audio info
So I recently synced 1891 songs to my iPhone 5. Whilst the process was completed successfully I noticed where in my itunes library all of the artists were organised accordingly. But suddenly, due to some kind of idiotic magic a lot of my music had missing information/wrong information. Oh well, this happens I thought placidly believing that all I had to do was fix the info myself. But lo and behold for some unknown reason Itunes won't let me edit any of the info of the music on my Iphone 5. Why? I don't know. But I know for a fact that none of the music is "Read-Only" because I check and I did the same process with the same files on a different computer. My new computer (currently using) is authorized and everything seems to be in order, I have no idea why this isn't working but some help would be appreciated. Please. I'm sick of having to read forum after forum after doing the simplest things on Itunes, please someone from Apple answer my question with efficiency, or create a less convulted program
Sounds like the ID3 tags are messed up on those songs.
iTunes imports using v2.2 tags. Convert the tags to v2.3 and try adding the artwork.
Right-click > convert ID3 tags
Also, make sure they are not read-only files. -
ITunes 10.5 starts itself every few minutes for some unknown reason
iTunes 10.5 installed on a Vista system to perform the iPhone 5.0 iOS upgrade. Now iTunes starts itself every few minutes for some unknown reason. Exiting iTunes will close it (and, of course, remove it from the Task manager list of running applications), but in a while it will restart all over again.
Thoughts?if u have wifi sync on turn off open when this ipod/iphone/ipad is connected

Itunes refuses to import some mp3 files.

Can someone please advise. I have an album of MP3 tracks. For some reason Itunes refuses to import all but 2 of the songs on the ablum. I have the files on the hard drive in my music folder which should be auto sync to Itunes. This does not happen with these mp3's. Also if I try to do it manually nothing happens. Any suggestions?
P.s I am using the latest version of Itunes and the MP3's play fine with media player etc.Yeah, what stubchain said. If they play in WMP, then you've run into the bug where iTUnes can't read the MP3 tags.
iTunes has problems with v2.4 ID3 tags.

iTunes also has a problem with v2.2 tags and artwork/beats per minutes tags on the same song.
Try setting them to v1 in another program and then see if iTunes can read them.
Then once iTnues can read tehm, I would convert them to v2.3 tags, which seem to be the most stable & have the best features. -
For some unknown reason I have two Apple ITunes/ID Accounts in operation.
How do I completely delete one of these Accounts?I have a similar situation.. in my case, I started using an Apple ID a while back, then when MobileMe was introduced, I got an account there, and somehow that is the account that is mostly used when making updates or purchases.
Sometimes when making updates, it prompts me for the PW for one account, and sometimes for the other.
This is a real pain - is there anyway both these accounts can be consolidated into one? When I asked an Apple rep, I was told 'no', but they have been known to make mistakes when giving advice. So, is there a way? Technically, I don't see this as a problem.. but Apple seems to be of the opinion that this would lead to having apps 'shared' amoung users. I think all that would be necessary if for me to provide the necessary proof that both accounts are indeed mine, and not belonging to someone else.
If not, what about deleting the apps registered to one account, and then re-purchasing them with the other account? To do this, I would need to identify which apps are registered to which accouts - is this possible? Most of my apps are free, but there are a few I paid for.. not many, so this possible solution might work and not cost too much. Ideas? -
For some unknown reason, my Apple ID Password does not work when trying to down load IBooks, Nook books, or new Apps. Everything else seems to work. Any suggestions out their???
I appreciate the info and realize that the Nook App is not related to my Apple account but this too has stopped working. My situation first started with the Nook App not down loading and then has now spread to my IBook and new app downloads. I have checked into my ITunes account and the ID and password are correct and at times when I am asked to submit my Apple password such as setting up this Apple Support Community the ID and password work. My problem seems to be just with trying to use my ID and password when wanting to download new books or apps. I can go into the IBook, Nook, and App stores and seemingly download an item but when clicking on the new book or app nothing happens and I get a message that states it can not get into the ITunes store and it wants me to either try again or cancel. This message appears usually ten minutes after I have tried to make a purchase. At other times when I attempt to download a book or app I lose the screen and the IPad goes into the opening screen. Short of redoing my Apple account or deleting an app and attempting to reload the app (but this won't work because the App store won't load new apps) I don't have a clue what to do.

I have a Samsung HD TV and I purchased a Mini Display port to HDMI Adapter today. For some strange reason I get no display on my HD tv. I even tried switching a few HDMI cables and nothing popped up. I made sure my computer performed all software updates, and I even tried calling Apple Support. They just told me to keep trying different hdmi cables and see if anything pops up. Does anybody know what the problem is? My HDMI cable is from "rocketfish" also my display port is too.
You may have the screen refresh rate set higher than the TV is generally able to track reliably. It may be able to get there most times, but occasionally loses sync because it is out of its nominal range.
I suggest you sit down with the manual for the TV and find out what resolutions at what refresh rates it intends to support through VGA, and make sure your screen settings are near (or below) those limits. -
I need to make a pdf document, already made in photoshop, 'page turn' and then add it to my website as an e-brochure. I know I can do this in indesign but indesign will not open pdf files for some inexplicable reason. Any ideas how I can do it without completely starting again?

please try this (all terms are translated from my German programs to my best knowledge):
1. Did the creator of the pdf file enable the import options?
2. See import options: choose an other visibility option for your layer.
3. Let you show the import options and click into one with a black background and try these out (often a gray is selected).
4. See trimming: try the different modes there. Often works: "Media".
5. Is the pdf file (eg from Word) correctly created?
6. Is the PDF file protected? >>> no import possible.
7. If that does not help, store the pdf file in Acrobat, repair possible errors, run the PDF Optimizer before placing in InDesign.

I previously was able to wirelessly ePrint to my HP Photosmart Plus e-All-In-One B210a using both my iPad & iPhone (both run IOS 5.1). For some unknown reason neither one can now print. I keep getting a message that the printer is no longer available. My MacBook continues to print ok. Any ideas?
Reboot everything. Router, printer and pad. If it used to work, it will again. It just lost itself somewhere.

Mountain Lion for some stupid reason keeps shutting down and rebooting on me. It is random and not associated with any particular task or program/software. I tried reinstalling Mountain Lion but the f'n thing still keeps doing it. I am trying to write a thesis and I have lost work because of this. If I can't get this sorted I am going to go back to using Lion.

I recently had a kernel panic in which I think my hard drive only had so much space left after I ran a bunch of drivers I thought I needed. I uninstalled all and moved files. For some odd reason I'm not getting sound of of my hdtv/monitor.HELP? I uninstalled all the drives and apps I download. I moived files either to trash if not needed, and others to other external drives. I went into disk utility and did a repair disk permission and verify disk. Clean out junk files. Now my hdtv/monitor does not give me any sound, nor does my mac mini. Can someone please tell me what to do?

For some inexplicable reason, Safari 5.1 will not open in Windows 7. It appears in task manager briefly and then disappears. No windows open; I have tried everything. Any ideas??
I fixed the issue. It was related to the DEP settings on my windows machine.
