ForEach in Accordion

Hi all,
In the component
<af:panelAccordion >
<af:forEach var="item" step="1"
items="#{bean.specis}">
<af:showDetailItem text="#{item}">
<af:panelGroupLayout halign="left" valign="top"
inlineStyle="width:100%; height:100%;">
<af:outputText value="#{bean.param}"/>
</af:panelGroupLayout>
</af:showDetailItem>
</af:forEach>
</af:panelAccordion>
instead <af:outputText value="#{bean.param}"/> I want to use component based on query which uses #{item} as a query parameter, but I cannot access the value in baked bean. In Jdeveloper 10 I used something like this:
… getParam(){
     FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
ValueBinding vbinding = fctx.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{item}");
return vbinding.getValue(fctx);
or
JSFUtils.resolveExpression
The value returned is always null (bean.param). Does anybody know a code example which retrieves the value of current item of an accordion in a baking bean?
of couse I can access it in disclosureListener event but for some reasons I am looking to access it in another place.

  • Is the Accordion Panel Capable of Holding a Gallery (with multiple pages)?

    I'm trying to create a website similar to this: http://www.christianschmidt.com/ using the Accordion Panel. Can the panel's content panel hold javascript? I've tried several types of javascript based galleries and nothing seems to work correctly..
    the site I'm working on: www.anhstudio.com/sample
    if you have any suggestions on what javascripts I should use/work, let me know - thanks.

    I have spent a lot of time on this, mainly because the problems crops up every now and again. Unfortunately it goes above my ancient head and I have only managed to come up with a very partial solution. In the following, I have taken all of the links to JS files and moved them down to the bottom of the document.

    <script>
    var nav = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("nav", {defaultPanel: -1});
    Spry.$$('.AccordionPanelTab').addEventListener('click',function(){
        Spry.$$(".AccordionPanelOpen").forEach(function() {

    Siva,
    My suggestion:
    1). Create a managed bean that contains nested java.util.List's or java.util.Array's that read the menu hierarchy from the database
    2). Use af:forEach tags inside of af:panelAccordion to iterate through the menu structure and stamp out the menu items.

  • When placing each search result in its own collapse panel, only first panel works (PHP foreach loop)

    Hi there,
    <?php foreach ($results as $result): ?>
      <div id="CollapsiblePanel1" class="CollapsiblePanel">
        <div class="CollapsiblePanelTab">
    <?php echo htmlspecialchars($result['name'], ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8'); ?>
        </div>
        <div class="CollapsiblePanelContent">
      <?php echo htmlspecialchars($result['description'], ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8'); ?>
        </div>
      </div>
      <?php endforeach; ?>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var CollapsiblePanel1 = new Spry.Widget.CollapsiblePanel("CollapsiblePanel1");
      </script>
    Above is the segment where I want to generate a list of results using PHP/SQL. I know for sure that there isn't anything wrong with the PHP, there's something about the collapsible panels that I can't get my head around...
    WHAT I WANT IT TO DO:
    Display the result of my query, each in a collapsible panel with the Name in the panel's tab and the additional Description on the panel's content area. Do this for all results.
    WHAT IT DOES:
    The above, except that only the first collapsible panel works (collapses fine). The results following are still in collapsible panels with the exception that they don't collapse at all.
    So can anyone come up with a good solution to fix this? Something quick will do (that I don't have to make drastic changes to my code), I suspect that it has something to do with this line:
    var CollapsiblePanel1 = new Spry.Widget.CollapsiblePanel("CollapsiblePanel1");
    That it recognizes the first panel as CollapsiblePanel1, the other panels are just unknown... I don't know, that's all I can come up with. Thanks for your time.

    Thanks for the tip Gramps, got to the solution!
    <?php foreach ($results as $result): ?>
      <div id="CollapsiblePanel<?php echo htmlspecialchars($result['id'], ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8'); ?>"  " class="CollapsiblePanel">
        <div class="CollapsiblePanelTab">
    <?php echo htmlspecialchars($result['name'], ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8'); ?>
        </div>
        <div class="CollapsiblePanelContent">
      <?php echo htmlspecialchars($result['description'], ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8'); ?>
        </div>
      </div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var CollapsiblePanel<?php echo htmlspecialchars($result['id'], ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8'); ?> = new Spry.Widget.CollapsiblePanel("CollapsiblePanel<?php echo htmlspecialchars($result['id'], ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8'); ?>");
      </script>
      <?php endforeach; ?>
    By allowing the script to loop and matching the id. Nice suggestion for the accordion but unfortunately the code above was just an example... the actual results will include tables, <hr> and whatnot.
    Being new to the Dreamweaver scene (actually to be honest, I've only started learning about web development a week ago) why are the Spry js (or just Spry in particular) files so large? Are there plugins/methods I can get to delete some features I don't need? I have absolutely no experience with JS... yet.

  • ADF: Menu, Accordion and tree

    Hi,
    I want to make a three level menu, Cliente/Project/Tasks.
    I want the Client level to be an accordion, and the project and tasks a depending tree, but I can't link the tree with the accordion.
    This is my code:

  • ADF Jdeveloper Accordion Implementation

    Hi
    Could you please help in one of ADF accordion implementation.
    I have a requirement to implement accordions on page. The scenario could be best explain with example: Lets say I have 3 tables schools, students, subjects. School contain list of schools. for each school there are number of students stored in students table and each student can enroll number of subjects. So, when user login in on page, depending upon school-ID,
    for each student in that school there would be an accordion component say student1, student2, student3 etc.. number of students-accordion will be dynamic based on number of students in that school. When student1 accordion is clicked, it should show all the subjects that student has enrolled. Similarly if student2- accordion is clicked it should corresponding list of subjects for that student.
    Any inputs or pointers on dynamic accordion. One approach would be iterate on number of students and create accordion accordingly..not sure it will work..

    Hi,
    use an af:foEach as a child ofthe panelAccordion to iterate over a list of students. Within teh af:forEach component have a showDetailItem and within this, populate the student detail information. Using ADF, I would use a tree binding that shows all students and as child nodes the detail information

  • Accordion as nested menu

    I have the following setup:
    &lt;div id=&quot;regionMainMenu&quot;
    spry:region=&quot;dsMenu&quot;&gt;
    &lt;div id=&quot;Accordion1&quot;
    class=&quot;Accordion&quot;
    tabindex=&quot;0&quot;&gt;
    &lt;div id=&quot;regionMenuItems&quot;
    spry:repeat=&quot;dsMenu&quot;
    class=&quot;AccordionPanel&quot;&gt;
    &lt;div
    class=&quot;AccordionPanelTab&quot;&gt;{Text}&lt;/div&gt;
    &lt;div id=&quot;menuItem&quot;
    class=&quot;AccordionPanelContent&quot;&gt;
    &lt;div
    id=&quot;regionSubMenu&quot;&gt;{Text}&lt;/div&gt;
    &lt;/div&gt;
    &lt;/div&gt;
    &lt;/div&gt;
    &lt;script
    type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&gt;
    &lt;!--
    var ac1 = new
    Spry.Widget.Accordion(&quot;Accordion1&quot;,{useFixedPanelHeights:false,
    defaultPanel:0});
    //--&gt;
    &lt;/script&gt;
    &lt;/div&gt;
    Because spry-region does not support nested regions. I loaded
    the complete menu.xml in another dataset. and use onDataChange
    observer to populate the AccordionContent with the current MenuID..
    See below:
    var dsMenuData = new
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet(&quot;data/menu.xml&quot;,
    &quot;Menus/Menu&quot;);
    dsMenuData.addObserver({onDataChanged:function(ds,
    data){return dsMenuData_DataChanged(ds, data, 1)}});
    var dsMenuData_DataChanged = function(dataSet, data,
    datasetnumber)
    Spry.$$(&quot;#regionSubMenu&quot;).forEach(function(div) {
    ListSubmenus(div); });
    function ListSubmenus(menu)
    //GetSubMenus
    if(menu &amp;&amp; dsMenuData)
    //dsMenuData.loadData();
    var rows =
    dsMenuData.getData();//.findRowsWithColumnValues({ParentID:
    &quot;'&quot; + menu.innerHTML + &quot;'&quot;});
    if(rows.length&gt;0)
    var subItems = &quot;==&quot;;
    var c = menu.innerHTML;
    for (var i = 0; i &lt; rows.length; i++)
    { var p = rows
    [&quot;ParentID&quot;];
    if(p &amp;&amp; c &amp;&amp; p == c)
    subItems += &quot;&amp;nbsp;• &quot; +
    rows[&quot;Text&quot;] +
    &quot;&amp;nbsp;&quot; + c + &quot;:[&quot; + p
    + &quot;]&lt;br&gt;&quot;;
    menu.innerHTML = subItems;
    else
    menu.innerHTML = &quot;none&quot;;
    else
    menu.innerHTML = &quot;---&quot;;
    The issue I am having is in the bold line &quot;var c =
    menu.innerHTML;&quot; I can assign a number like 1 or 2 to c..
    and it finds the menus. I can even compare
    &quot;parentID&quot; with a string and it finds them. But
    whenever I leave it has is and pass the menu.innerHTML it doesn't
    work. Is there something programatically incorrect with doing this?
    I even print out menu.innerHTML on the same line and it returns the
    value I need. I strip spaces convert to string number, doesn't
    matter. What am I doing wrong?
    Any one please help thanks.

    1. Yes. What third table would you need?
    2. No & No.
    You shouldn't be able to delete a category if it has products as children.
    You should have tables..
    Category
    CategoryID (INT) - Primary Key, Auto number
    CategoryName
    etc
    Products
    ProductID (INT) - Primary Key, Auto number
    ProductName
    CategoryID (INT) - Foreign Key to Category
    etc
    If you change something in Category, NOTHING changes in Products.

  • Accordion-Toggle Open and Close

    I apologize if this has been covered before, but I checked
    and couldn't find a solution. I'd like the accordion to toggle

    again. Is there any way that can be achieved?

  • How can I load a .xlsx File into a SQL Server Table using a Foreach Loop Container in SSIS?

    I know I've REALLY struggled with this before. I just don't understand why this has to be soooooo difficult.
    I can very easily do a straight Data Pump of a .xlsX File into a SQL Server Table using a normal Excel Connection and a normal Excel Source...simply converting Unicode to DT_STR and then using an OLE DB Destination of the SQL Server Table.
    If I want to make the SSIS Package a little more flexible by allowing multiple .xlsX spreadsheets to be pumped in by using a Foreach Loop Container, the whole SSIS Package seems to go to hell in a hand basket. I simply do the following...
    Put the Data Flow Task within the Foreach Loop Container
    Add the Variable Mapping Variable User::FilePath that I defined as a Variable and a string within the FOreach Loop Container
    I change the Excel Connection and its Expression to be ExcelFilePath ==> @[User::FilePath]
    I then try and change the Excel Source and its Data Access Mode to Table Name or view name variable and provide the Variable Name User::FilePath
    And that's when I run into trouble...
    Exception from HRESULT: 0xC02020E8
    Error at Data Flow Task [Excel Source [56]]:SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occured. Error code: 0x80004005.
    Error at Data Flow Task [Excel Source [56]]: Opening a rowset for "...(the EXACT Path and .xlsx File Name)...". Check that the object exists in the database. (And I know it's there!!!)
    I don't understand by adding a Foreach Loop Container to try and make this as efficient as possible has caused such an error unless I'm overlooking something. I have even tried delaying my validations and that doesn't seem to help.
    I have looked hard in Google and even YouTube to try and find a solution for this but for the life of me I cannot seem to find anything on pumping a .xlsX file into SQL Server using a Foreach Loop Container.
    Can ANYONE please help me out here? I'm at the end of my rope trying to get this to work. I think the last time I was in this quandry, trying to pump a .xlsX File into a SQL Server Table using a Foreach Loop Container in SSIS, I actually wrote a C# Script
    to write the contents of the .xlsX File into a .csv File and then Actually used the .csv File to pump the data into a SQL Server Table.
    Thanks for your review and am hoping and praying for a reply and solution.

    Hi ITBobbyP,
    If I understand correctly, you want to load data from multiple sheets in an .xlsx file into a SQL Server table.
    If in this scenario, please refer to the following tips:
    The Foreach Loop container should be configured as shown below:
    Enumerator: Foreach ADO.NET Schema Rowset Enumerator
    Connection String: The OLE DB Connection String for the excel file.
    Schema: Tables.
    In the Variable Mapping, map the variable to Sheet_Name, and change the Index from 0 to 2.
    The connection string for Excel Connection Manager is the original one, we needn’t make any change.

  • I can not find (see) the Data Control Accordion

    Hello all,
    I cannot find (see) the Data Control Accordion, I just installed the Jdeveloper 11g (Oracle JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.2.0) - November 2009) from this link http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/soft11.html
    I started a new ADF BC application, but I cannot find the data control accordion to drag and drop the components I created in the application model. Is there anything I must do after installation (post installation), is there any libraries need to be installed? Please, I need a help to create my application, I’m totally stuck, many thanks for any help.
    Kind regards,
    Nabil

    If you delete the JDeveloper\system11.1.1.2.36.55.36 directory - does your IDE get back to the right way of displaying the data control?Hello,
    Many thanks for your reply, kindly find attached screenshots for the two installation of Jdeveloper 11g I have (release 1 & 2), it shows clearly that the “Data Control” is available for release 1, but not available for release 2, even we are talking about the same application!
    Regarding the “JDeveloper\system11.1.1.2.36.55.36”, I’m not sure if I have it (attached a list of directories installed), I was not able to find it under my installation directory, therefore I can’t answer your question, but please advise if it could be the reason, how I may have it, do you think there is something wrong with the installation? I noticed that some persons having the same problem before me, so what was wrong, and how they solve it? I appreciate any help please, many thanks.
    Regards,
    Nabil
    P.S. regarding the attached files, sorry I don't know how to attach files to my reply (you may email me at [email protected] so I can send you the screenshots through email, if you please), any help regarding that too will be appreciated.

  • Spry Accordion doesn't work properly

    I uploaded the site the other night and it worked out just fine. I made a change in some spacing between two words and added a letter to a word. Then all of the sudden it did not work on my next upload. The link to the page is http://www.tc.umn.edu/~aias/about.html#. I appreciate the time you put into solving this in advance!

    Let me put it another way.
    open the page in FF
    right-click within the document and choose View Page Source
    in the pop-up window, click ../SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.js
    You will see
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <TITLE>404 Not Found</TITLE>
    </HEAD><BODY>
    <H1>Not Found</H1>
    The requested URL /SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.js was not found on this server.<P>
    <HR>
    <ADDRESS>Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.tc.umn.edu Port 80</ADDRESS>
    </BODY></HTML>
    This means that the document cannot be found.
    I could also put it another way by translating ../SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.js as http://www.tc.umn.edu/SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.js
    click on the latter and see what happens
    now click on http://www.tc.umn.edu/~aias/SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.js

  • Accordion not showing up at all in IE6

    I have a standard accordion set up at
    www.taradeal.com/pow.html
    and it works fine in Safari and Firefox, but does not show up at
    all in IE6 (the initial load of the text bits flashes up, but the
    Spry re-work of the code seem to fail). I'm using Spry 1.6.1,
    freshly updated for DW CS3.
    The accordion display a standard RSS XML.
    Here's some code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01
    Transitional//EN">
    <html>

    <meta content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"

    powrss.setColumnType("description", "html");
    //-->
    </script>
    <link href="SpryAssets-SpryAccordion.css" rel="stylesheet"
    type="text/css">

    <body>
    ... some table code
    <div id="poems" spry:region="powrss" align="left">

    //-->
    </script>

    Thanks for any pointers on what's wrong.

    Well, it seems to be a bug in the handling of the XML file
    contents. I fixed it by changing the code in SpryData.js to force a
    "manual" parse of the XML code. Not a good solution, but I don't
    know the codebase well enough to find the root of the problem. I
    know that the firstChild.nodeValue is "Object required" but I can't
    figure out who sets that and why. Maybe no ActiveX object?
    http://www.taradeal.com/pow2.html
    still broken in IE6 if you want to check it
    http://www.taradeal.com/pow.html
    uses changed code and dynamic-data accordion works
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet.prototype.xhRequestProcessor =
    function(xhRequest)
    // XMLDataSet uses the responseXML from the xhRequest
    var resp = xhRequest.responseXML;
    var manualParseRequired = true; /*** DC for IE6 **/

  • Problem with accordion widget flashing open and shut when page loads

    why is it that my accordion widget flashes open and shut when the page is loading (see http://vincentballmusewebsite2013test.businesscatalyst.com/digital-illustration.html#.UVDr Ehx7JyII)  have tried everything to solve this, and Adobes customer service is terrible they don't get back to you when they say they will.
    Please help me someone,
    Thanks

    Thank you Zak for your help, I spent 5 hours going round in circles trying to fix that problem and that's all I needed to hear, a bit of honesty and integrity.and yes, Adobes terrible customer service has still not got back to after promising 2 level technical support to contact me last Monday, I wish there'd keep their promise
    Pamela, did you try my test website or my own website and if so my own has now no accordion widget on it and my test website may need you to try loading a few times to see if it really works or not, sometimes it does actually work even on a pc but most times not.
    thanks for you help too.

  • Accordion Panel Widget - open and close speed.

    Hello,
    Is there any way to change the speed that an Accordion Panel Widget opens and closes?
    I would like it to be slower than it is now.
    For my project it would be more relaxed and graceful.
    Thanks,
    Chris.

    HI Chris
    With Accordion we cannot setup the speed as of now , but you can try out composition widget where we can define transition, auto play speed.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit
