Forms 11g Batch Compilation Script

Hi,
I have seen few threads in this forum on the topic "Batch Compilation of Forms"
For instance batch file to convert fmb to fmx
But i could not find a way to do the batch compilation in Forms 11g?
How do I batch compile my Forms in 11g?

Nothing has changed from the old versions to version 11. Compilation is done the same way as it always has in the past. The only difference (depending on which version you start from) is the the name and location of the compiler executible. The new file name is frmcmp (.exe if you are using Windows and .sh for Unix). All old example scripts should work in the new version as long as you make this change.

Compiling an FMB on the server (not windows PC) is giving error FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects. The compiler is unable to find OLB files and PLL files. This seems to be a config issue but I cannot track it down.
We have a /nhbcapps/lib for library and object library (pll, olb) files and we have a /nhbcapps/bin for executables (mmx, fmx, plx)
We have our own envmt file, cdb.env (in same folder as default.env):

Your module NC_REF.fmb (or NC_REF.olb), which is referenced for shared objects, cannot be found. The best way to test it is to place it in the working directory (the start-in directory of the windows shortcut from where you launch Forms Builder). That way you are independent from the FORMS60_PATH, because the working directory is searched first.

But there was a same kind of error thst turning up all the time.

I hence updated the permissions on the pll as below

But the problem is still persisting.
My environment details are as below.
I am working on Win XP machine. Connected to my AS via telnet and xmanager. I have set my DISPLAY to my local IP.
Is there any thing more that I need to do? If so then let me know.

Error FRM-30312 while compiling a custom pll library on forms 11g weblogic

this is my case:
Im trying to upgrade a forms 10g application to 11g, using FORMS 11g v11.1.1.3 and WEBLOGIC server v10.3.3.
Forms files compiled correctly, also webutil.pll was correctly compiled.
but if I try to compile my custom pll I can see the error...
when I run application, this erros msg appears:

I tried finding the string on the source code and delete or replace, but the only strings remainding are for example "RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT()", It looks like compiler finds the string within the entire word.
I need help.

I know rp2rro.pll was there, and I compiled it successfully, and place it to the correct folder.
but I did not know that my custom pll had the rp2rro as a program unit.
I solve this problem replacing the code inside my custom library with the rp2rro.pll code that comes with forms 11g

Forms 11g frmcmp gives Aborted (core dumped) error while compiling pll

Hello
We've installed oracle forms 11.1.2 on our linux server and are now trying to recompile all form objects from our previous release (10g).
All forms compile without much problems, but some pll's (not all) fail with the error: Aborted (core dumped).
Is there any way to find out what might be happening? I don't seem to find any log about what is causing this problem.
Any input or ideas are more then welcome.

I had the same problem on my development machine; I solved it by converting all pll files to pld files with the 10g reports compiler and convert them back to pll with the 11g reports compiler. I noticed that the problem is most likely to occur on libraries having a lot of other libraries attached which are not converted to 11g yet, so it also might be that you can solve the problem by changing the compile-order. But anyway the reports compiler solved this problem for me without ordering the compilation steps ;)

Batch Compilation Problem(Migration)

Hiiiiiiiiiii Gurus..
I am on Migration Project...... and for batch compilation of Reports do any one give me the Script.. Because whatever I have is not working.
I have no errors but also I can't get the error file,log file,output file.
(Migration is from 5 to 10g)

Issues with the batch compilation in the Linux Environment

I was trying to compile the oracle forms using batch mode. Below is the script which I am using.

Where to find report server name in 11g.

Able to open the browser, but after accessing application URL, getting application error as "Bad Applet class name"

So basically, it's not supported... Can you try with another JRE version?

weblogic server installation is perfect no errors at all.
i also got the errors i got during installation ( im_emagent.mk and while running command gcc) . but thanks to OTN Forums i had managed to find out a fix. but on this error only solution i got is
TRY WINDOWS . but what about linux then? is there any solution on this error?
i am not much used to front-end ( java i mean). i am Oracle DBA Actually n want to install n try Weblogic

You can just copy the relevant parts (the ones marked with error). You can also look at the timing
when it happened the reports environment did not start.
From what i remember this could be a memory issue, standard every managed server (WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS) instance
is configured with 1024m bytes of memory.
What we did is first install a forms instance and after that a reports instance. After the forms installation we adjusted the
memory parameters in setWLSEnv (<middleware-home>/user_projects/domains/<domain-name>/bin). Look in this file
for references to WLS_FORMS (something similar to: if [ "${SERVER_NAME}" = "WLS_FORMS" ] ; then).
Another thing which springs to my mind is, which products did you select. If you just want Forms and Reports
you can select just the following:
- Oracle Forms
- Oracle Reports
- Developer Tools aan.
- Management Components
- Oracle HTTP Server
and deselect the other options:
- Oracle Portal
- Oracle Discoverer
- Oracle WebCache
- Clustered (if you are not using clustering)
We also had to fix the following files (i do not think that you have to do this since your Forms did not show any problems):
- (On Windows) Copy the file msvcr71.dll (FMW/windows/extra) to WINDOWS/system32.
- Copy the file mod_wl_ohs.so (FMW/<operating-system>/extra) to <middleware-home>/as_1/ohs/modules.

Error in every form 11g

Hello to all,
I'm migrating my forms 6i to 11g. My problem is that every single form has an error when loading. The error is "FRM-40735: ON-ERROR trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06508." In the beginning there were more errors and by converting all forms and libraries and then compiling them, i was able to clear all the errors. But this one isn't going away. I compile the forms and everyting is fine. So could it really be some program unit that is missing? Just to tell, with a form created is forms 11g the error don't show up. What can it be?

I compile in Forms builder and it's successful. Only in runtime it displays the error. After bumping my head to the wall, i discover that if i remove the trigger WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE he loads correctly but the same error displays whenever i do something else. Could it be that all triggers are shooting this error? Maybe i could try to copy an entire form to a new one created firsthand in 11g and see if it still gives the error no?
Information: I have my forms 6i all built in windows, and i am now builting my 11g in linux. To convert them i use frmplsqlconv and then frmcmp to compile them.

Oracle report 10g vs Oracle Forms 11g

My application run on Oracle 10g with Oracle Forms&Report 10g
I have to modify a report file which was saved by oracle report 11g.
When I open the file with Oracle Report 10, I have the following warning : "Avertissement ! Ouverture d'un rapport enregistré avec une version plus récente. Risque de perte de fonctionnalité. Continuer ?" (translation : "The file opened was saved with a more recent version of Oracle Report. You may lose some information. Continue ?").
What kind of information I may lose ?
Can I modify my file on Oracle Report 11g and compile it in Oracle Report 10g ?
Or
Can I modify my file on Oracle Report 11g and compile it in Oracle Report 11g and run it on Oracle Report 10g ?

Question 1 - the file will no longer be useable with Reports 10g - you will loose everything.
Question 2 - No, newer versions of Oracle Forms and Reports are not backward compatible with older versions.

You have the wrong Java version installed. Do you already have another Forms version installed (like Forms 10g)? I ask this because Java 1.4.2_06 installs with the Oracle Developer Suite 10g. For Fusion Middleware 11g (Forms 11g) you need to have Java 1.6 installed. If you already have Java 1.6 installed, then you will need to modify your System PATH so that it lists Java 1.6 before Java 1.4. The error you are getting, "stderr=[java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError" is because Java 1.4 doesn't support the method the installer is using. Run the following command from a Command/Dos window: "Java -version". If it does not show Java 1.6.0_??, then your PATH is still not setup correctly or you don't have Java 1.6.0 installed.
