Forms 11g PLSQL Library
I have a Forms 11gR2 application that I have upgraded from Forms 10gR2. The forms have plsql libraries attached, I needed to modify 1 of the libraries but for some reason the form is still getting the old version of the library instead of the new version. I have de-attached the library from the form and reattached it (saved & recompiled) but it is not picking up the new version of the library. When I run the form locally with the debugger the old source is displayed in the PL/SQL Libraries section of Form Builder even though that version doesn't exist anymore.
Does anyone know how to get changes in a library to be recognized?

hi,
this is my case:
Im trying to upgrade a forms 10g application to 11g, using FORMS 11g v11.1.1.3 and WEBLOGIC server v10.3.3.
Forms files compiled correctly, also webutil.pll was correctly compiled.
but if I try to compile my custom pll I can see the error...
when I run application, this erros msg appears:
FRM-40735: ON-ERROR trig raised unhandled exception ORA-06508
I have this script to compile .pll files (libraries):

I tried finding the string on the source code and delete or replace, but the only strings remainding are for example "RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT()", It looks like compiler finds the string within the entire word.
I need help.InoL, Thank you very much.
I know rp2rro.pll was there, and I compiled it successfully, and place it to the correct folder.
but I did not know that my custom pll had the rp2rro as a program unit.
I solve this problem replacing the code inside my custom library with the rp2rro.pll code that comes with forms 11g

Can't call a procedure from a PLSQL Library inside forms 10g
Hello,
I build a plsql library using forms builder, then I compile it and add to FORMS_PATH.
I try to use a procedure from that lib so i attached the library to form (without path), then in then WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED event I call one procedure from that library and i get this message :

end ;
I dont know if to put some kind of public declaration.
can anyone help me please.In that case, use a batch file to start Form Builder to control your environment settings. The batch file ( e.g. FormsBuilder.bat ) should look roughly like this:

set tns_admin=c:\oracle\admin
set ca_uprefs=c:\data\oracle\10g\uprefs

Middleware Forms 11g crashes when opening library file
Hey Everyone,
I've been having some issues opening a library file in Middlware Forms 11G Designer.
Forms 11G locks up and crashes.
This library opens and compiles fine with any 10g forms developer.
Has anybody ran into this issue?
What could be wrong with the library file or the designer software?Thanks for the help!
This approach didn't work as the covert from text-to-binary kept failing with internal errors on the 11g side.
In order to get the library to compile for 11G, i had to create a new blank library in 11G designer, open the problem library in 10G designer copy the modules and paste them into the blank 11G library and save it/compile it.
That solved the issue. -
Problem with webutil library in Forms 11g debug (FRM-93652)
Hi.
I have a problem when debug a forms in OFM11g, that used.
the problem is that the forms, in debug mode, raise the error FRM-93652. Only in debug mode.
I add tha jacob.jar and jacob.dll in the folder ORACLE_HOME/forms/java and Oracle_home/forms/webutil.
the classpath variable in default.env, has added the jacob.jar file, and in my FORMS_BUILDER_CLASSSPATH Registry variable.
Can some one help me???.
Thanks and sorry for my englishI have the same issue with debug_messages in Forms 11g -- they will not appear. I can, however, run in debug mode and attach the session to Forms Builder 10.1.2.0.2. Thus, when I run in debug mode and check the the Command Line tab under Global/System Variables, DEBUG_MESSAGES is always set to NO regardless of how I set it on the command line. Still works fine in our 10gR2 instances.
DB 11.1.0.7

WebLogic 10.3.4
AIX 5.3 64-bit
AIX Java 1.6.0 SR9 FP1

My real issue has to do with a FRM-40734 on EXIT_FORM after ENTER_QUERY or EXECUTE_QUERY have caused the KEY-EXEQRY trigger to erroneously fire -- especially when DO_KEY is involved -- but that's a different and much more problematic story. -

Using jfreechart with oracle forms 11g
Hi everybody,
I'm using jfreechart with oracle forms 11g to continue having graphs in my application since i'm migrating from forms 6i. I've already got it working and it's great. Just have one problem left. I don't know how to change the axis labels. In Bar charts, it comes with "Values" in y axis and "Category" in x axis by default. I wanted to change that or make it dissapear. Anyone knows how to?I've never used the jFreeChart, but according to their website you can use the "setLabel" method to set the label for an axis. Check out Axis (JFreeChart Class Library) for more information.

Calling Report from Menu (Oracle Forms 11g)
I'm trying to call a report from a menu item in a menu (that is attached to a form) in Oracle Forms 11g directly and I'm having some difficulty. I know how to call a report from a form and everything works perfectly.
But since in a menu there is no item called "Report" to attach like there is in Forms, I followed on route which is to attach the "rp2rro" PL/SQL library on the menu file (mmb) and I also even did it on the form itself. Then when you convert a menu using the Forms Migration Assistant, it will comment out statements like "ADD_PARAMETER" and replace with calls to packaged procedures/functions from the package "rp2rro". I set all the parameters
RP2RRO.SETOTHERS('PARAMFORM=YES');
RP2RRO.SETDESTYPE('CACHE');
RP2RRO.SETDESFORMAT('PDF');
RP2RRO.SETCOMMUNICATIONMODE(SYNCHRONOUS);
then made the call to the report:
RP2RRO.RUN_PRODUCT(REPORTS, 'MYREPORT', SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME, FILESYSTEM, param_list_id, NULL);
but all i get is the error "FRM-41219: Cannot find report: invalid ID."
The Oracle documentation for integration reports in forms is for when you execute the report within a form not a menu item (that is attached to a form). Any clues?
My environment is:
Oracle (Database, Fusion Middleware) 11g - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
Web Browser - Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP Professional

Hello,
One option is to use the Web.Show_Document() built-in, with the complete Report Server URL inside. Of course, you can hide some information (connection string for instance) by calling a section of the /reports/conf/cgicmd.dat configuration file.
FrancoisI tried it using the code below
DECLARE
c_relative_path CONSTANT VARCHAR2(50) := '/reports/rwservlet/?server=';
c_rep_srv_name CONSTANT VARCHAR2(50) := 'rep_wls_reports_calgf3_asinst_1';
c_rep_name CONSTANT VARCHAR2(30) := 'copy_detail.rdf';
c_desformat CONSTANT VARCHAR2(10) := 'htmlcss';
c_destype CONSTANT VARCHAR2(10) := 'cache';
v_username VARCHAR2(100);
v_password VARCHAR2(100);
v_db_instance VARCHAR2(40);
v_connect_string VARCHAR2(300);
v_rep_srv_params VARCHAR2(200);
v_rep_url VARCHAR2(400);
BEGIN
v_username := LOWER(get_application_property(username));
v_password := LOWER(get_application_property(password));
v_db_instance := LOWER(get_application_property(connect_string));
v_connect_string := v_username || '/' || v_password || '@' || v_db_instance;
v_rep_srv_params := '&report=' || c_rep_name ||
'&desformat=' || c_desformat ||
'&destype=' || c_destype ||
'&userid=' || v_connect_string ||
'¶mform=yes';
v_rep_url := c_relative_path || c_rep_srv_name || v_rep_srv_params;
web.show_document(v_rep_url, '_blank');
END;
and I get a new tab in the browser opening up (which is good at least) with the Oracle Reports Services page saying:
Error
No such Web command ().
Now I've tried putting a URL of a Oracle's website (http://www.oracle.com) and that works perfectly. Another question is, where would the default directory be if I wanted to say call an HTML file? Would it be in the directory of FORMS_PATH where all my fmb, fmx, rdf, pll, etc...files are stored?

Forms 11G Builder crashes when opening ofgcall65.pll
Helllo,
when i try to open the library ofgcall65.pll in Forms11 Builder is crashes.
Also compiling crahses.
Does someone know what the problem is??I tried to open the headstart library ofgcall65.
I have found the problem, what i did was:
- converted the ofgcall65.pll to a pld in FORMS10
- converted the ofgcall65.pld to a pll in FORMS11
- started forms 11G and opened the ofgcall65.pll
What i saw wast that the package CALENDAR was corrupt. The procedures SETUP and SHOW were not in the package body any more, but created as seperated procedures.
The part of the package body between BEGIN and END (the code that is executed when the package is used) is also created as a seperate procedure.
When i copied the code back to the CALANDAR package body and removed the 'new' createed procedures it complied again.
I have saved the pll and try to reopen it and that also worked. -

please help me out. waiting for your positive reply.3. Now i m installing Oracle forms 11g 64(-bit). its show me an error (INST-07407: Unable to detect machine platform or JVM bits)It looks like you are installing the 32-bit version of Oracle Fusion Middleware (FMw) 11g - not the 64-bit version. As a test, install the 32-bit JRE and run the FMw installer again. If it continues past this point - you've got the 32-bit installer and not the 64-bit installer. :)

Previewing images in forms 11g from the server
Hi All,
i need your help in this issue please
i've just migrated my application from forms 6i to forms 11g
there is a function in my application that i used that previewed images that exists on a network drive that are used in an image gallary
now i don't have this setup as the application is hosted on the weblogic server
i want an alternative method that i can use to preview the images from the server
the old way was:
read_image_file('.\default_image.jpg','any','preview.image_preview'); --this shows a default image if no image was selected
if :search_results.file_path is not null then
read_image_file(:preview.image_path||'\'||:search_results.file_path,'any','preview.image_preview'); -- this shows the image that we retreived it's name from the database but it exists on the file system
end if;
i've configured the webutil but i don't know what method to use
also another functionality that i lost in the migration is opening a browser window to preview the final article that the editor entered using my application
the old way was:
declare
url varchar2(1000);
begin
url:='http://10.100.100.197:55/allcontent/allcontentimages/'||:SEARCH_RESULTS.FILE_PATH||'';
WIN_API_SHELL.WinExec('"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" '||url||'',
WIN_API.SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED,TRUE);
Exception when NO_DATA_FOUND then
MESSAGE('CAN NOT FIND THE FILE');
end;
now ithe WIN_API_SHELL is not working as i'm on the server side and i don't know the alternative
please adviceHello Nivin
If you want to read an file from local drive or from netwrok drive then before reading images please make sure that do you have full rights and have you mapped that network drive .
after that you use read_image_file built in(). secondly you configure WEBUTIL package.
please visit the following link for configuring webutil.
I configured my webutil package from this link and its worked fine.

Edited by: parapr on Aug 17, 2012 3:21 AMHi,
You have to have the report server
a. Installed and configured
b. Running.
See
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/bi.1111/b32121/pbr_strt001.htm

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/bi.1111/b32121/pbr_conf003.htm#i1007341
If you are using rwservlet then you will find the name from the Configuration file referred to in the last link.

Web.show_document in Forms 11g
Hi, I've migrating my application from forms 6i to forms 11g.
In my application I use web.show_document to open some document using the http alias defined in httpd.conf under Oracle iSuites Http Server
in httpd.conf I define
Alias /my_document_folder/ "c:/document/"
and in my application code
web.show_document('/my_document_folder/my_document.doc');
How can I define the alias http alias for Forms 11g
Thanks..Hi All,
I am facing some issue while seeing the report using web.show_document as shown below:
https://ucrmskr.apac.nsroot.net:10301/forms/html/001725032_gca.rtf_
In this case the report opens directly without asking for me to save or open or cancel option
whereas if I hit
http://scrmskr.apac.nsroot.net:7801/forms/html/001725032_gca.rtf_
it asks for save or open or cancel option
so that I can save the report to my machine and open in wordpad format
The report generated in the first case is not coming in proper format
Below are my forms.conf mappings:
# Name
# forms.conf - Forms component Apache directives configuration file.
# Purpose
# It should include the weblogic managed server (routing) directives for
# the servers where Forms applications are deployed and other miscellaneous
# Forms component OHS directives.
# Remarks
# This file is included with the OHS configuration under
# $OI/config/OHS/<OHS Node Name>/moduleconf sub-directory.
# virtual mapping for the /forms/html mapping.

Creating a Folder Within Form or Document Library & Display the name not in the name column.
I have created a form library that will used to create folders within that. The folder creation is done using an InfoPath Form that has been uploaded to the Form Library. When the new folder was created the name will be displayed at the Name column within
the Form Library. I want to change that to another column like documents or suchlike.
Can it be done using InfoPath 2010 VSTA C# or not? If their are other options available please could you try to inform me!
Thank You,
ChiranthakaHi,
If you want to show the name of folder in another column, a workaround is that you can create an extra column, then create a SharePoint Designer workflow to set the value of
this column with the name of folder.
Here is a link about Create Workflow using SharePoint Designer and set field value for your reference:
http://www.codeproject.com/Tips/419037/Create-Workflow-using-SharePoint-Designer
I have seen a similar post from you in the link below:

It's recommended that you post a single question in a single thread which will make it easier to be discussed by others.
