Forms 4.5 disconnecting frequently

Hello there,
We would appriciate if any body help us to resolve our issues.
We have a forms 4.5 system is running with oracle 10g database( we upgrade recently from 8.06).
The system is working well, but at times the screen suddenly getting disconnected from the database.
Why is this happening.
Is any body has any idea.
Please helpus to resolve this issue.
Regards
Ram

Forms 4.5 is not supported with 10g database. I would never trust this combination to work properly.

  • Forms session got disconnected during db node failure

    Hello All,
    Setup: Multi node configuration
1 node appl tier - running all services except the database (2nd node will be setup soon)
2 node db tier (10g RAC)
During failover test, Invalid session error when shutdown of node where form session is connected. Is this normal
behaviour? I suppose its not, any changes need to be done? I already changed "Tools OH TWO_TASK" to use <database_name>_806_balance alias and iAS OH TWO_TASK" and "Apps JDBC Connect Alias" to use <database_name>_balance then autoconfig.

    Hello Hussein,
    Thanks for the documents.
I already set s_tools_twotask and s_weboh_twotask with their respective values. But still form session is disconnected after failure of db node where the session is connected. Can you please help to verify if my tnsnames.ora is correct which is automatically generated by autoconfig.

  • Broadband internt connectivity getting disconnected frequently

I am using eltisalat broadband connection and using AZTECH  router. My internt connection getting disconnected frequently. what might be the reason.

  • AirPlay Screen Mirroring (Mavericks) disconnects frequently with "Feedback taking too long to send" message

My company has several TVs with AppleTVs (3rd generation units) connected in our conference rooms so we can "Screen Mirror" our Mac laptops via AirPlay during meetings. Many employees have complained that AirPlay Screen Mirroring drops frequently during meetings for no apparent reason.
In attempts to determine the cause of the issue, I removed the AppleTV units from Wi-Fi and hard-wired them all to the LAN (100Mbps/Full duplex, no switchport errors seen on the Cisco switch). I upgraded the AppleTVs to the latest firmware. I had our AppleTV users ensure they were running MacOS Mavericks with the latest software updates installed. I had the Mac laptops hard-wired into the LAN during meetings in the conference rooms. None of these changes resolved the AirPlay issue.
I reviewed the MacOS "/var/log/system.log" file from the laptops of several users that reported issues. I found a pattern that seemed to indicate that the "coreaudiod" process reported "Feedback taking too long to send" several times before the AppleTV connection was terminated. Also, from a network trace (using "tcpdump") taken during an unexpected AirPlay Screen Mirroring disconnection, I could see that the Mac laptop sent a TCP FIN packet to the AppleTV unit (this would indicate that the MacOS laptop initiated the closing of the AirPlay connection).
I have included the relevant log file entries below. Please note that the LAN internal to our company is "solid" and there have been no connectivity issues detected or reported during the times the AirPlay sessions were disconnected.
I believe I have found a workaround to this issue. By going into "System Preferences", "Sound" and then changing the "Output" device BACK to the "Internal Speakers" (rather than the AirPlay destination), the AirPlay Screen Monitoring connection seems to remain stable.
    My questions are:
    - is anyone else experiencing this type of problem? any other solutions recommended?
    - is there a way to change the AirPlay defaults so that Screen Mirroring only sends the video (not audio)?
    - does anyone know what the log file entries indicate (like, what does "Feedback taking too long to send...." mean)?
    - any fix planned for this issue?

I'm currently still experiencing this as well. I've confirmed it occurs on 10.9.1, 10.9.2, and 10.9.3 on MacBook Pro Retina's, Mid-2012 and 2013 MacBooks. It happens on multiple ATV's not just one, all are updated to 6.1.1 and a simple reboot seems to fix it temporarily but it does come back. All the ATV's are connecting to the network via Wireless not Ethernet. These are 3rd Gen ATV's but I checked the serial number and these do not match the bad batch of Apple TV's from 2013 that were offered up for Replacement for Apple due to the bad firmware update. None of the computers have the Firewall turned on. Here's the two logs that we always find after the issue occurs (logs are recent, happened this morning):
    5/30/14 8:57:36.017 AM coreaudiod[183]: 2014-05-30 08:57:36.016946 AM [AirPlay] ### Feedback taking too long to send (30 seconds, 17 total)
    5/30/14 8:57:36.332 AM coreaudiod[183]: 2014-05-30 08:57:36.331492 AM [AirPlay] ### Feedback failed: -6723/0xFFFFE5BD kCanceledErr
The user will get disconnected from Airplay anywhere between 30 seconds to 3 minutes after logging on and can reconnect but then once again get disconnected after the same time period. One interesting thing to note is that when the Feedback Taking Too Long to send error starts occuring and the countdown to disconnect start ticking down to 30, its solely referring to Audio not being sent over the network and Video is working just fine. If I try to play sound I get another log and the sound doesn't play through the speakers. After a reboot, sound works fine and the Feedback Error's do not show up. I've also tried switching to Internal Speakers (since it defaultly switches to Airplay Speakers) after connecting to Airplay and seeing the Feedback timer start in the Console Logs but even after that the log continues to saw its taking too long to send and disconnects in 30 seconds.
This issue has been ongoing for months, I've got a ticket logged as far back as January with this occuring but its infrequent enough that we've just restarted and moved on. I'd say its an issue that occurs to about 5%-10% of meetings but that's an entire meeting that doesn't have the ability to Airplay until someone comes down and reboots it.
I don't often post in this forum but its still an active issue with no resolution, proof that its occuring on other people's systems, and no firmware updates having been released to correct it. It'd be nice to know of any workarounds other than having to buy some lamp timers for each conference room just to get a functional ATV or putting up a sign that says hey if you get disconnected every 3 minutes, reboot the ATV. The whole reason we're using Apple products is for ease of use otherwise I'd put together a much cheaper solution myself. Any help or recommended troubleshooting steps would be fantastic at this point.

  • New DSL service disconnects frequently

Bit on the $17.99 offer for 1mb DSL service. First time it was available in my area. Talked on phone around 20 July. Modem and filters arrived in about 5 days and startup day was 29 July.  Got an automated phone call saying man would come to house to do some checks between 8 am and 5 pm, but that he wouldn't need to come inside.  He never came because I live down a long lane and I watched all day for him. Installation using CD and instructions on my end went ok, and was soon online on 29th.  Westell modem 7500.
But, then found that my connection dropped regularly.  A couple of times it stayed on for 4 hours, but mostly it stays on 2-3 minutes and then is off for 2-3 minutes, etc.  Sometime it is off for hours at a time.  The service is not available when the green internet light goes out on the Westell modem.
So I call the 1-800-567-6789 Verizon number for help.  As you probably know it takes 20-30 minutes of phone time to wait before you talk to an actual person.  The recordings tell you that most problems solved by turning off and back on your modem, computer, etc.  As if we hadn't already done that multiple times already.  And the recordings tell you there is lots of help on various websites . . . as if you could get to those websites without having your DSL connection actually working for an extended period of time.
The help gal then tells me to do all the things I had already done, like turning off and on, etc.  She then says she ran some tests that show no problem.  Meanwhile the internet light on my modem is sometimes on and sometimes off.  But still no problem shows on her tests, she says.  Now the internet light has stayed on for maybe 10 minutes, so she says she is done because everything probably OK.  I tell her this is not uncommon that it stays on for 10 minutes or even a few hours, but eventually it always drops the connection.  She says she can't upgrade me to next level of help since it is my first call.  I say, you mean I have to call back tomorrow with the same problem.  She says, yes.
OK, next day same problems but I can't take the time to call so a day is burnt.
Third day the internet light stays on for 4 hours, so I am feeling pretty good.  But then the light goes out and I loose my connection at around 10:30 PM.  Too late for me to start a call, so another day is burnt.
Fourth day, yesterday, mostly a repeat of previous day, so at around 8 PM, I call the 1-800 number again.  Go through the same 20-30 minutes of wait time with suggestions to turn off and on everything, go to websites, etc.
Got a gal in Phillipines.  Pretty good English and very pleasant.  She says there is no record of my first call, so this is really my first call.  However, after I complain about that, she talks to her supervisor and he/she says they can upgrade m to next level of help.
So she tells me a tech expert will start testing my line.  After 15-20 minutes she tells me there is a problem with my modem 'authenticating' so they will send me a new modem.  But I remember reading another thread here by a guy who got 3 Westell modems and still had problems . . . . so I am not overly hopeful about the outcome for me either.  Why does Verizon stick with a modem that is known to have multiple problems??
Anyway, I was on the phone with Verizon that time for close to an hour and a half.
Next day, which is today, my wife fields an automated call from Verizon which says they are going to send a tech to our house and for her to punch in some numbers, which she can't do because she doesn't know what time I want.  The recording gives her an 1-800 number to call back to schedule the time.
I am floored when I see the number is actually 1-800-567-6789, because I know what hell is waiting for me when I call that number.  And I have to go through this hell just to reply to a call from Verizon which asks me to call them back to schedule the appointment.  But that number has nothing to do with scheduling appointments.
So I call the 1-800 and go through the same **bleep** as before with all the recorded helpful hints about turning off and on, go to websites for help etc.  But I am simply trying to reply to a call from Verizon to set up the techs time to come.
Then the recordings finally get to the point where I punch the 1 if I still need to talk to a person.  Have been on the line already about 10 minutes.  The voice says the wait time will be less than 5 minutes.  15 minutes later I am still getting the news that my wait time will be less than 5 minutes.
Finally a guy from India answers.  I have now been on the phone for close to 25 minutes waiting for this real person.
He starts telling me to turn off and on my modem, etc.  I tell him I am just replying to call from Verizon to set up the time for tech to come to my house.  He tells me I have called the wrong number.  I tell him it was the number the recording said to call.  He says he will try to transfer me.  I panic.  He then tells me when he talks to another dept they tell him there is no record of my ever having called with any problems.  I yell at him.  He talks some more to someone on another line and reports that they actually now find that I have called before . . . in fact just last night.
OK, so now he tells me he will transfer me to the person who will help with the appointment.  But this new gal asks me what lights are showing on my modem.  I say, what does that matter and how is it relevant to scheduling the guy to come.  And anyway, I don't have the modem turned on because I think that is not a good idea to leave it on all the time.
She insists that I must turn on the modem and . . . for first time that anyone at Verizon has ever told me . . . she says I should leave it on constantly until the problem is solved.  This apparently is because the tech people might be trying to do some tests on my line even before they arrive at my house.  OK, so I turn it on and the green internet light does not go on during the rest of our conversation.
So she schedules the tech to come to my house next Thursday, 6 August.  I ask what time he will arrive.  She straight faced (I presume) said I must wait there all day 8 am to 5 pm.  I ask her if she doesn't realize the absurdity of this.  She will only comment that that is the way Verizon does it.
I then ask her if she doesn't also recognize the absurdity of the 40 minutes I have spent on the phone, being cycled around, when I was only returning a call from Verizon to schedule an appointment.  She gives a nonsensical answer, so I repeat the facts.  Now she does admit that it is probably not fair and there should be a better number to call rather than the general 1-800 number for this situation.  I ask her if they ever talk about these absurd situations and poor customer service things at staff meetings or with their supervisors.  She doesn't answer that question, instead asking me if there is anything else she can do for me today.  I say that yes, there is something else, and that is to answer my question about what the staff meetings have to say about these absurd situations and what do her supervisors say about it.
    {please keep it relevant}

#1 Check the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and DNS Servers on your computer.
This means for example if you are on Windows XP...
    a) Go to Start -> Run.
    b) Type in
    cmd
    and press enter.
    c) In the new window, called the command prompt, type in
    ipconfig /all
    and press enter.
#2 With your web browser go to the default gateway.
#3 Enter in the current user name and password of the router.
    The default User Name is
    admin
    and the password is
    password.
Thanks dslr.  OK, I did what you said and found the default gateway was  192.168.1.1
When I went to that place on my browser, there was no place for User Name or Password.
But under the column 'Gateway Status' I saw:
    Download:  1181 Kbps
    Upload:         447 Kbps
    Connect Type:  PPPoE
So how does this info help in my problem of frequent disconnects?
Or did I still not get to the place you wanted me to go?
    Thanks much.

when we access same form in network , is there any restriction on no of instance of form access in network.?
    Thanks n regards
    Yash

    Hi Yash,
I've seen this happen recently at a few of my customer sites with 11g (11gR1 and 11gR2), where the forms application will hang intermittently or every time a certain object is used. Once we applied this patch to our customer's environments, the issue went away. The issue had to do with one of the following issues: Using multiple cores with JRE 6 or displaying multiple alerts in an application.
Take a look at Oracle Bug in MyOracleSupport: 12433970
There is also an article that goes along with it: 1245895.1
    Hope this helps!
    Thank you,

  • New Mac Mini Wireless Internet - Slow, Disconnects frequently

    Hi all,
I've been doing some research and have read related posts about this, but I thought I'd share my specific situation to see if I could have any light shed on it.
As a long-time happy Mac Mini user, I was excited when I picked up one of the new 2009 mac mini models and ditched my old G4 mini.
My wireless connection on the old mini was never very fast, and I was extremely pleased when I first started up the computer and my internet FLEW! I thought, 'Finally!! I have fast internet!'
It was as fast as it had ever been, just as if it were plugged directly into an ethernet cable.
Well, that lasted only a couple of days. For several months since then, I have frequently been having connection issues. It is consistently slower than it ever was during those first several days, and at times, it is continuously disconnecting and reconnecting.
Needless to say all of this is very frustrating. My connection is to a D-link wireless router with a standard WEP key.
I haven't changed any settings since the internet was blazing fast those first couple of days, and I'm using my Macbook wired to ethernet at the moment, and it is perfectly fine.
Thanks for any insight or to anyone for pointing me in the right direction on this.

Very close to the same thing happened to me:
    -- I also stepped up from a G4 (iMac) to a 2009 Mini.
-- I also saw a big improvement in my wireless connection.
-- I also saw a big drop in speed, reliability, etc. (Software Update seems to hang, etc.).
-- I am also very frustrated.
    Slight differences:
-- Drop in speed happened between the first and second time I booted up -- just a few hours!
-- I'm on an Airport Extreme network (old domed UFO-style base station)... WEP key, etc.
-- My iMac is still a-ok... just a few feet from the Mini, so I don't see how it could be a location-related problem.
Have tried usual tricks (rebooting computer and router, etc) and a couple of things found on similar threads. Not a bit of difference yet.
So advanced thanks for any forthcoming help from me, too...

  • Very fast internet disconnects frequently

I have very fast internet here at my school, but there is only one problem: it disconnects very frequently for a few seconds.
I use a thunderbolt ethernet adapter to connect to the network, and I have also used wifi. The speeds are similar, and both have the same problem of disconnections. As far as I can tell it's just purely random. Sometimes I'll disconnect many times with intervals of no more than 10-20 seconds, others, no disconnections for hours on end. I asked some buddies of mine and non of them have the issue, even though one of the have the exact same Macbook as mine and has the same specs, and also uses a thunderbolt ethernet adapter. I have come to conclude that this has nothing to do with how many people are on the network at the time, because it has happened to me at times like 5-6AM and also have been stable at 7-10PM at times, when all the students are on... My question is, what is the cause of this, and is there a way that I can fix this? I'm using a Macbook Pro with Retina 15" that i bought in 2013. I heard it might have something to do with a DHCP lease? I follow some fixes like renewing the lease and stuff. Nothing has helped. Any response will by greatly appreciated. THank you.

    Thank you Loner T.
I think I found the solution under different Topic. It was problem with bootcamp 5, I think.
Here is the solution for this problem for those experiencing this issue. I was getting crazy for months.
Look at explanation of Fahrwahr in the link below. My internet is going good now.

  • 13-b000no, Qualcomm Atheros, WiFi disconnects frequently

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion 13-b000no Notebook with Qualcomm Atheros WiFi adapter. I have installed latest drivers available from HP Support Assistance Software. The WiFi keeps dropping frequently after every 5-10 min of usage. The same happens if I install the latest driver available from Windows Update. Is there a workaround / fix for that? The product was purchased in March this year.

    Hi andyfromgilbert,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the WiFi works in other location but not at home. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.
iOS and OS X: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support
Wi-Fi: How to troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity - Apple Support
Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly
Your Mac may not not stay connected to your Wi-Fi network reliably.
Your Mac may stop accessing the Internet during use.
    Solution
Use these steps if your computer disconnects from its Wi-Fi network unexpectedly.
Check your range to the Wi-Fi router and reduce the effect of interference.
If your computer is too far from your Wi-Fi router or your environment has too much Wi-Fi interference, then your computer may not detect the Wi-Fi network properly. The easiest way to check for range limits with your Wi-Fi network is to move your computer or your Wi-Fi router closer together and make sure that there are no obstructions (such as walls, cabinets, and so forth) between the router and your computer.See Potential sources of wireless interference for more information about interference and solutions.
Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. If your computer works fine when connected to a different Wi-Fi network, then the issue may be related to your network router or ISP. In that case, contact the manufacturer of your router or your ISP.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario

  • Satellite P50 - MS Bluetooth mouse disconnects frequently

    Hi,
    I own a Satellite P50 running Windows 8.1
I use with it a Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse connected via bluetooth
This mouse was working OK with my previous DeII Computer (running Windows 7)
Since I installed it on the Toshiba, I have frequently a total mysfunctionnement:
    - The mouse does'nt work at all
    - It is seen in the peripherals, and detected as "working correctly"
In this case, the only solution I have is to remove it from the configuration, and pair it again to the computers.
This problem happens at very variable frequency, from 30 seconds to several hours, but I've noticed that, when the computer is remaining running, without any action on it, the mouse can stay active for hours, but, when I'm using the computer, it disconnects more frequently
I wonder if this may have to see with the proximity of my smartphone (NExus 4), which has bluetooth always off, but can perhaps send waves which perturbs bluetooth.... but I never had any problem before with the Dell Vostro computer!
Does anybody have an idea or a solution?
    Regards

Im wondering why you did not contact or visit some Microsoft support pages or forums to check if this mouse is compatible and if it support the new Windows 8.1
You said you tested this mouse with other notebook and Win 7.
Well, Windows 7 isnt Windows 8.1. There are big differences between the system and mostly the software/drivers are not fully compatible.
I found the MS Sculpt Comfort Mouse support page
    http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/sculpt-comfort-mouse
I found the software for iOS, Win 7 and Win 8 but nothing about Win 8.1
So probably its an compatibility issue between the mouse and Win 8.1

  • Magic Mouse disconnecting frequently

    Hi All,
I am getting seriously frustrated for the last couple of weeks. My Magic Mouse is disconnecting very frequently and this is becoming annoying. I checked everything, batteries, etc...everything is fine. and still facing the same issue again...
    This is really boring.
    thanks,
    Paul

    Hey Paul,
I'm getting the same issue, and if you look around on the web, it seems to be a pretty widespread thing particularly when it is connected to the Mac Pros. I have a MacBook Pro and a Mac Pro, and I have never had a connection issue on my MacBook. However, I can't say the same with my Mac Pro.
Are you using a Mac Pro with the magic mouse?
I've read there are ways to fix it by mixing up the airport cables with the bluetooth cables, though that was on older mac pros (mine is 2010) and on mine I can't find where it is located.
Currently, I am talking with apple for help and see if they can work it out. Had me do a basic reset of everything.

  • My mouse works intermittently and keyboard sometimes -  connects and disconnects frequently.  batteries are at 100%

my mouse keeps going off while in use.  screen is telling me that my connection is lost and a few moments later it comes back and screen tells me that it is connected again.  also while typing in a field, the cursor goes to the right sometimes and doesn't stop. it goes and goes.   The batteries are up to 100% - is this a common problem?

I have two iMac 27s and it is a frequent occurrence on both.  Annoying at best. Same symptoms - full batteries and seemingly random disconnect and connects.

  • Why is my wireless disconnecting frequently when using Safari but not Firefox.

Ever since upgrading to the latest Apple Software on my iMac, I have been experiencing wireless disconnection but just on Safari. Also HTML images in emails are not loading. Firefox works fine.

Hi Sebaz, first try repairing permissions. Go to Applications-->Utilities-->select Disk Utility. Select your drive then select the First Aid button then  at the bottom right click Verify Disk and after it verifies your drive click on Verify Disk Permissions on the left. If there any errors click on Repair Disk Permission. Reboot your machine and test your Safari to see if the issue comes back.

  • IMac 8.1 Airport Application Disconnects Frequently

Hello, my friend has an iMac 8.1 with Mac OS X 10.5.8 using Airport Extreme
    As she put it:
"i'll be in a call or switching a web page, and suddenly the internet will slow down...and then eventutally drop. i refresh the airport application{the wireless} and it works again...for a few minutes at the most"
This has been an issue for months, we'd be in a Skype call, and she would have days where her connection is just fine, but then it will be days where she disconnects every 5 minutes, and she's getting really tired of it, and I really don't blame her.
I've seen similar articles, but the solutions for them haven't worked, so I'm going to try posting here to see if there's any way this problem can be solved.
If there's any information we need, just let us know.

We've tried running diagnostics, making it so the computer never sleeps, creating a new port, and updating the Airport program.
    Results of test?

    Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number.  Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem.  unplug it for about 10 seconds.  Plug it back in.  Do the same for Apple’s routers.  Wait for everything to reboot.
    System Preferences>Network
    Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

  • Mobile based clients disconnecting frequently

    Hi folks,
I have an 1142 running 15.2.2JB.  I noticed numerous messages of clients disconnecting with the following message:
%DOT11-6-DISASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, Deauthenticating Station 847a.885b.622c Reason: Previous authentication no longer valid
The MAC addresses involved are all associated to various mobile devices...iPad, iPhone, Windows 8 Mobile and Android (MAC above is an Android phone).  This doesn't appear to impact PC's and laptops (both Windows an Apple).
The devices reconnect immediately and this doesn't appear to cause any problems with anything other than Android devices which register the disconnect immediately and therefore bin anything they're currently doing (for some reason the Windows 8 Mobile and Apple devices seem to be able to cope with the disconnect and reconnect and don't ditch anything network connections)

Does anyone have any ideas why I'm seeing the message "Could not find station pointer" or any other idea's why this is happening?  A search of the web throws up many threads exhibiting the same symptoms but none seem to have a fix and the fixes there are (disable aironet extensions, extend the WPA handshake and disable guest mode) haven't worked so far.
    Many thanks,

from that debug, the cleint was in a run state, then there was an EAPOL Start message.
As Blake had asked, what type of device is it?  specifically what is the WNIC and driver versions?
Wireless drivers do not get updated with the standard windows update.
