hi to all
i searched on this forum but in don't found solution my problem.
I created table with a column blob and i design form that insert and display image stored in database ( oracle 9i )
i used image item type with block database based
my version forms is
Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.13.0 (Production)
if i define column table like "long raw" it worked but i used blob i insert but i don't display image
error is:
ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected got

I know, that the false forms-version (patch) gives you this errors. Try a newer patchset. For example patch 13-15 (for 9i), or 17 (10g rel. 1)

I already know how to display an image which is stored in the path src/mimes/Components/...
But does anybody knows, how to display an image which is stored in a database (e.g. MaxDB)as a datatype of binary?

yes, you can use the Image UI element.
Further you have to create a String for the URL. Implement like as follows:

Refcursor returning image (BLOB type) from database

Hi,
Process : Invoke activity takes ID as input parameter and passes it to partner link (db adapter) which executes stored proc returning a ref cursor. SQL statement in stored proc - ref cursor has a column with BLOB type.
Problem : Unable to return an image (defiined as BLOB type in database) through refcursor in BPEL.
Error : Unable to convert XSD element Column whose JDBC type is BLOB to a corresponding XML document element.

Forms 11gR2 - paste from clipboard into image item

Hi, how can I paste image from clipboard straight into an Image item on Form?
If it can't be done via standard Forms functionality, is there any workaround - I mean can Java Bean do it, or maybe drag and drop via Beans Area?
I know it's quite odd functionality, but any hint is much appreciated.

<p>I think that it is not possible. The only ways to populate an Image Item is to use the Read_Image_File() or to query from the database.
You can use a Java Bean that allows to drag and drop an image file.</p>

You cannot do it with the standard. The image can only be populated via the Webutil CLIENT_READ_IMAGE_FILE() built-in.

if your image is in the system, there are the different syntax notations to retrieve it, as stated in the documentation link.
To upload or download an image into an SAP system, just go to the MIME repository in the ABAP workbench, select an appropriate folder and do it. See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/46/bb182fab4811d4968100a0c94260a5/frameset.htm and the sections on importing mimes and uploading and downloading mimes.

I can read the local multiple files by FLEX/AIR FileListEvent
and loader to read the large JPEG files but cannot display them
into a TileList. Since it is a number of images files, how can I

How to fetch the tabular form column value into page items

I have created tabular form. I have set LOV for one column. Here my requirement is when i select the value from lov then it will fetch that value into page item.
can any help?

It's not so easy to make a dynamic action on a tabular form.
The best thing you can do is to use the javascript API from APEX: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21676/javascript_api.htm
So if you have a tabular form then open your item and make it a column link.
In the link location select URL.
Your URL would be something like this
javascript:$s('P1_PAGE_ITEM', #COLUMN_ID#);doSubmit('COLUMN_ID');The doSubmit is not required but if you don't submit your page then the server would never know about your page item.
Off course it is possible to submit at a later point. For example you can just use the $s to set the value off an item and afterwards create a button that would submit your page.
Be aware that if you just set the value off your page item and just link to an other page without submitting or without branching that other page would never know about your page item.
If you want the server to know the value off a page item you need to submit it's value to the server. The easiest way is just to do the doSubmit() call after you have set your value.

Scripting or coding doesn't work with extending the Silverlight webpart. The source code of the Silverlight webpart isn't available by Microsoft. So you can't modify the code of the Silverlight webpart.

Insert a dynamic link form R/3 into image field in PDF.

Hi gurus ,
I am using a wd java application . In that i want to show employee pic in adobe form . I have RFC in place , that gives me URL (ex : http://retep.... ) containing employee pic Context is of type string
Now i have craeted a image field in PDF . but i am not sure about scripting and how to bind that context to image field , so that based on the url it dynamically displayes employee pic.
Any suggestions are most welcome .

If u are getting the URL from the R/3, then set the type of the context variable to the model type rather than making it as a String.
map the type of the context variable to the type present in the RFC

I asked similar question in the past, and I believe the answer is still the same.
Select List as an option of a Radio Group
In your case, I think you can use a select list with added functionality, like "Select List with Branch to Page" or "Select list with Submit", or you can just attach an onChange event (JavaScript) to each select list. The effect should be similar to a radio group as soon as the user select one item from any of the select lists, you can fire some action, based on the select list value.

it seems to be a bug under Oracle 10.2, for which i used this workaround :

Blob blob = BLOB.createTemporary(con, true, BLOB.DURATION_SESSION);
OutputStream out = blob.setBinaryStream(0);
out.write(byteValues);

I'm using the Reports 10g(10.1.2.0.2). When I'm trying to print the report, I'm getting an error Rep-62203. I want to know whether there are any settings which i need to set to display the image item. I mean to say that are there any registry settings.
