When I try to run a form I get a message of Jinitiator version too Low
I've run my first form of Oracle Forms on google chrome but I get the following message:
"FRM-92095; Oracle Jinitiator Version too Low. Please install version 1.1.8.2 or higher"
I can't understand.
From the control pannel of Windows XP I see "Jinitiator 1.3.1.22"
I use Forms 10.1.2 on Oracle vers. 10gXE
Thanks in advance! The Oracle Jinitiator is not compatible with modern browsers. In fact, Oracle has discontinued Jinitiator and no longer supports it's use. Michael is right, you should install the latest Java 6 runtime (JRE 1.6.0_33) and use it instead of Jinitiator.
Since Oracle Forms 10g defaults to using the Jinitiator, you will need to modify your configuration to tell the Forms to use the JRE Plug-In (JPI) instead of Jinitiator. Take a look at Oracle 10gR2 Forms Services – Using Sun's Java Plug-in for information on how to update your configuration to use the JPI.
Hope this helps,

Hi:
My webforms works with Netscape and JInitiator, but on the botton
appers a yellow ribbon with the next message: Warning: Applet

The problem is with trusted applet. I use Netscape 4.61 with

My questions are:

Patchset 3 of Developer Server came with Jinitiator 1.1.7.16, but
with this version I have problems, the applet windows is display

I think that this problem is occuring because there is problem

Can you help me??
Thank you

I tried the site: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559

Please help.
MacBook Pro 13", OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)When I login from my Windows/Xp client machine to my Linux Server running R12.1.1. I get the message below:Was this working before? If yes, any changes have been done recently?
"FRM-92095; Oracle Jinitiator Version too Low. Please install version 1.1.8.2 or higher"
I really do not know what this means. Oracle EBS R12 comes with JRE so you are not supposed to download any Jinitator version. If you already have one installed, please uninstall it (via Control Panel > Add/Remove Software) and check then.
Can some one give me the steps on how to fix this issue--when I open a form from the client machine. Can you reproduce the issue using a different browser? What if you try from a different machine?
Please run AutoConfig and make sure it completes successfully.

Jinitiator version defaulting to 1.3.1.22 not 28?
I have installed JI ver 1.3.1.28 in an attempt to get Forms working in IE7, but when I go to view a form it still presents me with a message telling me I need to "install the folloing add-on: 'Oracle JInitiator'". When I click "Install ActiveX control" it downloads the installation file for JI ver 1.3.1.22.
How can I make it recognise that i have the newer version JInitiator installed and force it to use that one.
I have tried changing the registy value of 'Home' in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ORACLE/JINITIATOR to point to the ...28 version directory but it made no difference.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.So change:

Some of our users have JInitiator 1.1.5.21.1 installed. Others have JInitiator 1.1.8.16 installed.
We would like to be able to detect which versions, if any, or both, the user has installed. Based on what is installed, we'll offer the user appropriate links or direct the user to a support team.
Version detection is simple using Netscape, difficult using Internet Explorer.
Unfortunately, both versions have the same ProgID, Oracle.JavaBeansBridge.1, and version ID, 1.1, so while the VBScript code
IsObject(CreateObject("Oracle.JavaBeansBridge.1"))
returns true if one version or the other or both is/are installed, I cannot figure out how to distinguish the two when the user's browser is Internet Explorer.
The two JInitiator versions do have different ClassID values,
1.1.5.21.1 - 9F77A997-F0F3-11d1-9195-00C04FC990DC
1.1.8.16 - 9b935470-ad4a-11d5-b63e-00c04faedb18
, but I can't locate any methods for using this info to distinguish the versions.
Can anyone help with this?
Please let me know if there is a better place for this post - I am new to these forums. It's all a question of the text in your HTML page.
Check out the base.html and basejini.html file that you are using and set the correct values in the jinitator related entries.

Hi all,
We are having database server - oracle 10g enterprise edition R2,
forms - Oracle forms 10G -Version 10.1.2.0.2 on windows 2000 professional.
We have created a table which has a column of type "timestamp",the following is the structure.
CREATE TABLE "STOCK_AREA_MASTER"
( "STOCK_AREA_CODE" NCHAR(5) NOT NULL ENABLE,
"STOCK_AREA_DESC" NVARCHAR2(40) NOT NULL ENABLE,
"RECORD_STATUS" CHAR(1) DEFAULT 'A',
"USER_ID" NVARCHAR2(20) DEFAULT USER,
"TIMESTAMP" TIMESTAMP (6) DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP)
[\code]
We tried to invoke this table(stock_area_master) using database block wizard in forms 10g,we were expecting to see the columns in this table, but we got the following error
FRM -10095 - Assertion failed
on seeing the forms help for the error FRM-10095,We are getting the following message
FRM-10095: Assertion failed in %s, at %s:%d. Cause: An internal inconsistency was detected. Action: Contact an Oracle support representative, and proceed with caution
We have the following concerns.
1.) is it possible to have datatype "timestamp" in forms 10g,our researches show that we can manipulate using datatime datatype in forms, our requirement is have to precision of 6 digits(millisecond - format - dd/mm/rr hh24:mi:ss:ssss),we are able query and view precision to the tune dd/mm/rr hh24:mi:ss:ssss,but we are unable to insert/update to this precision.
We would appreciate if some one could throw some light on the above.
Thanks in advance
Regards
MohanHi Mohan,
Hm. Strange.
I have reproduced the problem in my environment.
I have also found, that building the block manually, seems to work, as long as you define the item with datatype Char in Form Builder. Inserts and updates using a value like "22-AUG-06 11:10:11,647354 AM" worked fine for the timestamp item.
You may want to enforce some dateformat. I don't know whether that will work.
Good Luck!

Diff in IAS 9i Form Service Version and Developer 6i Rel 2. Version
Dear all,
I have noticed that Form Server version which comes with the Oracle 9i Application Server (Forms Service Module) is higher than then Oracle Developer 6i Tool Rel. 2 Form Complier version.
It Creates a problem, Form which is complied in Developer 6i Rel 2. gives blazzing result when it deployed it on Oracle 9i Form Server because of the version diff.
Oracle 9i Form Server Version is always higher than Forms Compiler comes with the latest Developer 6i Rel. 2.
Because of this reason we cannot install Developer 6i Rel. 2 and
Oracle 9i Application Server with Form Service on the same machine.
How to solve this.
Best Regards,
Darshan DesaiIf you look in metalink, you can get patches for Forms 6i to patch it up to higher levels than rel 2. Any patch from 4 through to 9 will be newer. Choose which patch you want to bring yourself in line with 9iAS. The patch documentation tells you what version it will bring the forms up to.
Each patch superceeds the last so just pick one and apply it.

"9iAS Forms/Reports version" vs "9iAS Java Version"
Everybody knows that Oracle pushing for the JDeveloper 9i and 9iAS. The new "9iAS Java Version" for 5,000 dollars per CPU is a great price.
When Oracle is going to release a "9iAS Forms/Reports Version", which will include 5 developer licenses for Forms/Reports Developer 9i (not the entire 9iDS) and the 9iAS framework to deploy only the 9i forms and/or reports but nothing else - for 5,000 dollars?
As it is proven by the release of 9iAS Java Version, it is really not a technical issue - but a marketing decision to have a "9iAS Forms/Reports Version". Anybody from Oracle marketing? At Oracle Open World, they said they will have a new BI package of the Application Server which will include HTTP, Web Cache, Discoverer, and Reports. It will also include 5 developer licenses so I'm guessing there will be a similar packaging of the Developer Suite. It may include JDeveloper too but I don't know.
So if you aren't using Forms, there will be one option to get Report Server cheaper than you can today. It is supposed to be released in January. If it includes JDeveloper, then you can migrate your Forms to J2EE and use this installer too. -
Cannot find Oracle Installer subdirectory on Forms developer version 6i
I need to package forms and reports I created using Forms developer version 6i and Reports Developer version 6i.
According to the Forms documentation file, I should be able to find the TEMPLATES\OISFP10 and the TEMPLATES\RELEASE subdirectories on the "Oracle Distribution media" (which I assume is the Forms and Reports installation CD).
I cannot find these subdirectories on my installation CD or anywhere on my drive.
Developer 2000 used to install these subdirectories in the 'c:\dev install' subdirectory. Forms and reports developer do not install these subdirectories anywhere. Could someone tell me please how to get or where to find these subdirectories. ThanksHi,
First use gunzip utility to unzip .gz file. Once you are done, you will get a .tar file. Use tar -xvf to untar the file to a directory. It is similar to unzip.

Why is installation file for Exchange Server CU7 much smaller than SP1.iso?
I was wondering why is the ISO-Image for Exchange Server 2013 with SP1 4.5 GB in size and the CU7.EXE only 1.6 GB? I thought CU7 contains everything SP1 contains. Is it because one is a disk image and an other an executable?
