Forms to be displayed in Japanese

Hi There
Has anyone ever got a standard english version of Forms to run in Japanese on a standard english version of windows.
Thanks in advance

Frank Thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay.
My first challenge is to try to find the message files. I'm thinking of using an European language (French) before moving on to Japan.
The langauge files (either .msg or .msb) is supposed to be got from the Oracle Installer - Do you know how to do this. The installation I'm using is the standard english version for Oracle Developer
I have tried all the options from the installer but can't get any of these langauge files onto my Oracle Home on my C drive.
Is there somewhere on the oracle site that they can be downloaded from?
Thanks Again
Shamlen

  • How Oracle tables can be used to display Chinese/Japanese characters

    If anyone knows how to display Chinese/Japanese characters from Oracle tables please reply this email. Thanks.

    hi
    ->Also please let me know how the Oracle Lite is licenced if I have 300 odd users of this offline applications
    you should speak to your local oracle rep about that, for us for example they gave a pretty cheap packet for olite 10gr3+ 11g repository
    ->need to use only database part of Oracle Lite and not mobile server.
    you cant do that. mobile server is the application server that handles the synchronization process from the server side. when a client tries to sync he actually connects to the mobile server and asks for the database changes , the mobile server know what the client must get so he packs it and give it to him
    ->you can ofc make lightweight .net apps using olite. we make olite apps even for wince handhelds. so yes ofcourse you can. olite had a win32 client also.
    ->can it run from usb.
    ok here to be honest ive never tried that myself, looks kinda weird as a requirement to be honest but i dont see why it shouldnt run. if you set up the paths correctly you shouldnt have a problem i think.
    ->offline application will have more or less similar data entry forms and storage structure
    yes ofcourse , if i have 3 tables in server i can choose to have 2(or all ) of them on the client too. i can even separate which client gets what. for instance if client a sells houses in new york he will get only the house table rows for new york. if another sells for chicago he will get those instead and etc.
    ->all client apps are offline and sync periodically (when you choose) to the server

  • Form does not display all records from table

    Hi guys
    I modified one form that was based on a signle DB table. I removed certain fields from the table and added some extra fields to that table. Then based on the new table I also modified the form and removed the text items related to old fields in the table and added new text items pointing to the new fields now. II have checked all the new items properties and they have don't seem to be wrong or so. But now the problem is the form does not display all the records from the table. before it used to display all records from the table when qureied but not now. It only certain records from the table containing all new data and also old data but the form does not display other records though I don't see any obvious discrepancy. Remember that the before doing the modifications, I have table back for the old, created another table that contained new records for the new fields, and then I inserted the old records and updated the new table data in the new table with these new table values. So this way I have got my new table. Could someone help why the new modified form fails to display all records from the new table updated table though it display some of them successfully.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    hi
    Set the block property of "Query All Records" to "YES"
    hope it will work.

  • Wrong Display of Japanese Currency in ALV Report

    Dear Friends,
           I am facing a problem in Displaying a Japanese Currency in the ALV Report Output. I am mentioning the Currency Key field and the Currency field in the Report.
    For example, the amount field should be displaying as 22838 instead of 228.38 where this is correct in case of USD but not correct in case of JPY.
    Code where the i am appending the fieldcatlog:
        ls_fieldcat-fieldname = 'WAERK'.
        ls_fieldcat-datatype  = 'CUKY'.
        ls_fieldcat-outputlen = 8.
        ls_fieldcat-seltext_l  = Text-088.
        ls_fieldcat-seltext_m  = Text-088.
        ls_fieldcat-seltext_s  = Text-088.
        ls_fieldcat-reptext_ddic  = Text-088.
        APPEND ls_fieldcat TO lt_fieldcat.
        CLEAR ls_fieldcat.
        ls_fieldcat-fieldname = 'BUCK0'.
        ls_fieldcat-datatype  = 'CURR'.
        ls_fieldcat-outputlen = 16.
        ls_fieldcat-seltext_l  = Text-017.

    Hi,
    All the Decimals related to currency fields will be stored in the table tcurx.
    You have to get the currency and respective decimals into internal table.
    Read the internal the table with key equal to currency.
    And calculate the values as below :
    loop at gt_output.
          READ TABLE gt_tcurx WITH KEY currkey = gt_output-zwaers.
          IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
            IF gt_tcurx-currdec = '0'.
              gt_output-dmbtr = gt_output-dmbtr * 100.
            ELSEIF gt_tcurx-currdec = '3'.
              gt_output-dmbtr = gt_output-dmbtr / 10.
            ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
          MODIFY gt_output.
    endloop. Then pass the gt_output to ALV FM.
    In the above code gt_output is my final internal table which i am passing to the ALV FM. And gt_tcurx is the internal table consists of all the currency and their decimals.
    Thanks,
    Sri.

  • The Forms are not displaying correctly

    the Forms are not displaying correctly. Editing mode and printing mode are missing contents of notes/text field (Additional Notes, Background or Need, Project Summary). Second issue is when viewing/printing a Project Profile - Short Form, the text fields
    are shrink, they are not displayed full high to show all the text. It was working with IE9, IE10, but now IE10 and IE11 dont work.

    tested with Google Chrome and that seems to work the best in terms of viewing and printing the forms.
    Then you could try spoofing Google Chrome using a User-Agent string override and Document mode Edge.  Or open  IECompatData.xml  to see if you should have Compatibility View enabling Microsoft's list.  Or report your problem symptom and
    desired override here:

  • WEB Forms do not display properly with windows 95 LARGE fonts desktop setting

    Hi,
    We are using WEB forms 6.0 patch level 6 (We tried 6i but had too many bugs with it, we prefer to wait until at least a couple of patches are out, installation was a VERY painful experience for us)
    We still have the following problem with WEB FORMS deployed on win95 desktops with LARGE FONTS destktop settings: The forms are not displayed correctly, sometimes there are no scroll bars, resizing a window gives weird results, part of the forms become inaccesible, some forms are blank, etc...
    Can you verify or confirm that you have the same kind of problems ? We use jinitiator 1.1.18.
    Is it fixed with 6i ? Is it fixed wit jinit 1.1.27 ?
    We develop in smal fonts on win95 and recompile under solaris before deploying.
    Thanks

    Thank you all for your fast asnwers. The "Use hardware acceleration when available" was the problem, I disabled it and I will post a message on my site about this.
    The site is on-line in the same aspect since 2005, modifiyng the whole site to fit with Firefox11's default setting is not a good option. At that moment, placing a tabel (alligned to the center of the page) and puting in it the thumbnails with links generated by ExpressThumbnailCreator, than manually adding the description in the HTML view of FrontPage was the simplyest way possible to make the site appear properly on my 800*600 px resolution I used then. Of course, I upgraded my hardware and software since then, but the site remained mostly unchanged (except the index and a few files). I know it's time for a new version of the site but... my web-design knowledges are limited to basic HTML.

  • Create HTML file that can display unicode (japanese) characters

    Hi,
    Product:           Java Web Application
    Operating system:     Windows NT/2000 server, Linux, FreeBSD
    Web Server:          IIS, Apache etc
    Application server:     Tomcat 3.2.4, JRun, WebLogic etc
    Database server:     MySQL 3.23.49, MS-SQL, Oracle etc
    Java Architecture:     JSP (presentation) + Java Bean (Business logic)
    Language:          English, Japanese, chinese, italian, arabic etc
    Through our java application we need to create HTML files that have to display unicode text. Our present works well with English and most of the european character set. But when we tried to create HTML files that will display unidoce text, say japanese, only ???? is getting displayed. Following is the code we have used. The out on the browser displays the japanese characters correctly. But the created file displays only ??? in place of japanese chars. Can anybody tell how can we do it?
    <%
    String s = request.getParameter( "txt1" );
    out.println("Orignial Text " + s);
    //for html output
    String f_str_content="";
    f_str_content = f_str_content +"<HTML><HEAD>";
    f_str_content = f_str_content +"<META content=\"text/html; charset=utf-8\" http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>";
    f_str_content = f_str_content +"<BODY> ";
    f_str_content = f_str_content +s;
    f_str_content = f_str_content +"</BODY></HTML>";
    f_str_content = new String(f_str_content.getBytes("8859_9"),"Shift_JIS");
    out.println("file = " + f_str_content);
              byte f_arr_c_buffer1[] = new byte[f_str_content.length()];
    f_str_content.getBytes(0,f_str_content.length(),f_arr_c_buffer1,0);
              f_arr_c_buffer1 = f_str_content.getBytes();
    FileOutputStream l_obj_fout; //file object
    //file object for html file
    File l_obj_f5 = new File("jap127.html");
    if(l_obj_f5.exists()) //for dir check
    l_obj_f5.delete();
    l_obj_f5.createNewFile();
    l_obj_fout = new FileOutputStream(l_obj_f5); //file output stream for writing
    for(int i = 0;i<f_arr_c_buffer1.length;i++ ) //for writing
    l_obj_fout.write(f_arr_c_buffer1);
    l_obj_fout.close();
    %>
    thanx.

    Try changing the charset attribute within the META tag from 'utf-8' to 'SHIFT_JIS' or 'utf-16'. One of those two ought to do the trick for you.
    Hope that helps,

  • User Forms are not displaying in SAP B1 2005

    Hi,
    I have created an application using SAP B1 2004. All user forms are displaying properly in SAP B1 2004. But when I am trying to run the same application in SAP B1 2005, It is unable to display some of the User Forms.
    Can any body help me for the same?
    Thanks.
    Archana.

    Hi Archana,
    Are you using some special items in your form?
    You say the form is not displayed, do you have a return error or exception when trying to open it in debug mode?
    In Debug mode please pay attention to the VS.NET configuration, you have in Debug Menu -> Exceptions to configure all types of exception to throw into the debugger. Sometimes the COM exception are not thrown and your code just jumps after the error to the end of your method...
    Have you tried to open the xml of your form with the ScreenPainter to see if everything is correct in there?
    Hope it helps
    Trinidad.

  • Form Does Not Display As Designed

    I have a Form with buttons and everything.
    There is another Form to be displayed later when prompted.
    However, when I run the program it displays a blank Form in a square.

    Hi TheRedGuy1990,
    According to main.cs code, I found that you comment out the InitializeComponent() method in the Form1() function.
    The InitializeComponent() method is used to loading the compiled page of a component.
    You could add this method in your Form1() function.
    public partial class Form1 : Form
    public Form1()
    InitializeComponent();
    private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    private void button3_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    #IComponentConnector.InitializeComponent Method
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.markup.icomponentconnector.initializecomponent(v=vs.110).aspx
    If you have any other concern regarding this issue, please feel free to let me know.

  • Display Chinese/Japanese Character

    I upgraded my PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 recently, and after installing the latest iTunes 10.7.0.21, I notice that it cannot display chinese/japanese characters.
    Is there any setting in iTunes or Windows to correct this?

    Have your tried googling your problem?
    I found this article: [http://www.chinesecomputing.com/programming/java.html|http://www.chinesecomputing.com/programming/java.html] That seems promising, but ofcourse I cant tell if it will work on your application without seeing a shred of code.
    Im certain there is others that has had the same problem before, and put up their solutions on the net.

    user's message on enter key. Therefore I need you to help me do
    this and also help me understand why my form isn't displaying right
    when I have a mask for it.
    To get a better picture of the problem
    here you can
    see how the form should look like and
    here you can
    see the same form, but with the mask

    I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "embed the fonts
    in each of the text fields"
    Please have a look at the .fla file:
    http://www.claudiudesign.org/test/sterg.fla
    (this fla has the mask; if you remove it you will be able to
    see the working contact form)
    It won't take you more than 1 min to understand what's up
    with it if your good at this.
    Thing is I'm behind the schedule with this and I have to
    solve the problem as soon as possible.
    Thank You

  • Form is not displaying data

    I am new to forms.
    I developed a form which has two blocks.
    block1 uses the header table and retrieves the header information.
    block2 uses the detail table and retieves the detail information. I joined both of the block using relations. (Batch_Id is common to both the tables)
    I put below condition in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE (in form level i.e module)
    go_block('block1);
    execute_query;
    go_block('block2');
    execute_query;
    I dont know what I missed..My form is not displaying any data(data exist in the tables). I really appreciate your help in this regard.
    Thanks in Advance!!

    Hi,
    Since you :
    1) set the master block to query mode as soon as the form opens
    2) set the relation correctly,
    you need not the two go_block... and execute_query commands , just the first one for the master block.
    As regards the issue that there are no records fetched/displayed in the master block ,
    1) is there any error message...????
    2) is there any where clause set at master' s block...(where clause property)???
    Have you tried to insert a record on master block and two/three on detail and queried them afterwards using your form....????
    Greetings,
    Sim

  • Acroread 8.1.2 cannot display some Japanese documents

    For details and a test .pdf file see:
    http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=376856
    acroread 8.1.2 cannot display some Japanese documents although
    the Japanese font package and the CMaps are installed.
    Checking which fonts are used in the testfile ~RubiJapanese.pdf~:
    mfabian@magellan:~/test-texts/pdf/japanese$ pdffonts RubiJapanese.pdf
    name type emb sub uni object ID
    MS-Mincho CID TrueType no no no 10 0
    Arial-Black TrueType no no no 14 0
    Arial-BlackItalic TrueType no no no 15 0
    mfabian@magellan:~/test-texts/pdf/japanese$
    I.e., this document uses the ~MS-Mincho~ font which comes with
    Microsoft Windows. It is not embedded, therefore Acroread has to
    search for it on the system and if it cannot find it it should replace
    it with a fallback Japanese font.
    I have this font installed on the Machine where I am testing but
    acroread fails to use it, complains about missing CJK support
    (which is not true) and displays only dots instead of Japanese
    characters.
    You can get the test document from the above mentioned
    bugreport, it is attached to comment #1:
    http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=376856#c1

    Neha,
    Thanks for the response.
    We are running acroread headlessly since it is on a remote server that we access via telnet. Without an XServer session, I can't tell whether acroread is able to read and display the PDF files normally. However, we can view the PDFs with Adobe Reader 8.1.2 on Windows and the acroread -toPostScript command-line that we are using does work properly with other PDFs.
    I will email you a copy of a problematic PDF shortly.
    Regards,
    Steven Dickson

    Dear Giri,
    As per your Advise, Literally I have Search the Properties for the Components to set value Null, but I am Unable to find the Value in Properties palate. I have tried in various options like
    In the Properties Palate
    TextField1_onselect use Value null
    TextField1_text I have selected use Value option and I have manually Keyed-in null;
    In the JSP Page, I have manually keyed in the null value below said
    <ui:textField binding="#{BI.textField2}" id="textField2" style="position: absolute; left: 240px; top: 96px" text="#{BI.bDataProvider.value['ISSUENO'] = null}"/>
    <ui:textField binding="#{BI.textField2.Value = null }" id="textField2" style="position: absolute; left: 240px; top: 96px" text="#{BI.bDataProvider.value['ISSUENO'] = null}"/>
    At last I am Failure. I am ignorant of it. Can you please help me on this where I have to set null value for the components? I will be very kind of you
