Forms10g JAR and Java Plugin Caching problems

Hello,
Does anybody know following problem:
We are deploying the forms java classes in a jar-file
signed with our own certificate.
We have a our own second (JavaBeans for forms) and a third jar file signed and deploying it in the right order
archive = 'f90...jar,f2.jar,f3.jar'
We are using the Sun Java Plugin 1.4.2 on the Client.
Everything starts and works correct when it loads
from the Application server the first time.
Then the jar-files are in the cache.
If you restart your Browser the Java Console hangs...
No error messages in the console
If we only load the forms jar file starting works
except the error message in the console:
Deactivating Caching also helps.
Any ideas why there are problems with the
Caching?

Thanks. But It is not solely about LAF. It is just that my form applet is not getting dowloaded as soon as user opens application on browser. It is the whole applet nothing about LAf. But still I would send the email.
Thanks,

  • 32-bit flash and java plugins freeze firefox and gnome on 64-bit linux

    I have installed FC13 64-bit and am running 32-bit firefox 3.6.8 so that I can run flash plugin.
    When I start 32-bit firefox 3.6.8 and go to site with flash or java applet, firefox locks up my gnome desktop necessitating a reboot of my computer.
    Firefox 3.6.8 32-bit
    Flash 10.1r82
    Java jdk 1.6.0_15 32-bit
    I have used a similar configuration on 32-bit FC13 with 32-bit Firefox 3.6.8 and everything works fine. No lockups.

    Hi!
    I finally solved this problem. The 32-bit libflashplugin required a 32-bit libcurl library that is not installed by default on 64-bit linux systems (at least not on Fedora). Once I installed 32-bit libcurl libs, flash and java plugins starting magically working.
    In my opinion, 64-bit Fedora has done a poor job with 32-bit compatibility viz a viz 32-bit libs. I will submit an improvement ticket to Fedora folks about installing more 32-bit libs on 64-bit distros.

  • LAF and Java Plugin not opening in some machines

    Hi all,
    I have strange problem in my forms 10g application. We have implemented LAF in our Forms 10g application that requires to use Sun Java Plugin.
    In formsweb.cfg, the sun java plugin version that would be downloaded is - 1.4.2. For most of my users they have version 1.5.0_13 installed already. All users are able to run the application without any problems.
    Only in one machine, it does not open up the form applet and instead opens a blank form on IE version 7.
    I have other machines with same config Windows XP and IE 7 and they work fine. They too have the Javaplugin version 1.5.0_13 installed and it does not prompt the user to download 1.4.2 version.
    Can anyone help me to fix this problem?
    Thanks,

  • Applet AccessControlExceptions using Netscape and Java plugin

    I get the following AccessControlException when running a simple applet that tries to connect to an RMI object when using Netscape Communicator 4.5 with the Java plugin supplied with JDK1.3
    java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission 10.195.57.34:1489 connect,resolve)The HTML page contains the following code:
    <embed type=application/x-java-applet;version=1.3
    code=test.AppletTest archive=AppletTest.jar width=800 height=600>
    </embed>I have modified the default policy file C:\jdk1.3\jre\lib\security\java.policy with the following:
    grant {permission java.security.AllPermission;};
    With the above change the applet works when using appletviewer but if I remove this change I get the same AccessControlException as I do with Netscape.
    This suggests that the Java plugin is not using the default policy file. What am I doing wrong / how can I fix it?
    Thanks,
    Neil

    Alon,
    Thanks for the information. The fact that appletviewer and Netscape may be using different security files because of having different java.homes certainly explains the differences I'm experiencing between the two.
    I've now modified C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3\lib\security\java.policy which now reads as follows:
    grant codeBase "file:${java.home}/lib/ext/*" {
      permission java.security.AllPermission;
    grant {
      permission java.security.AllPermission;
    };but I've not changed C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3\lib\security\java.security. Unfortunately this still doen't work with Netscape. In your reply you mention changing java.security files - am I making the wrong changes?

  • Pocket IE and Java Plugin

    Is there and if so where can I get the java plugin for the Pocket PC 2002 Pocket IE for a strongARM processor? Please help!!!

    [email protected]

    I fooled around with this a year ago... At the time there were a few 1.1.X JVM variants around (just search for them). Only found one viable Java 2 (1.3.X w/Swing) JVM & it was basically a replacement OS for certain IPAQs called Savaje (worked pretty well but dev. has since been abandoned by the co. in favor of cell phone JVMs..)
    Good luck,

  • HT4592 Airport and Java update installation problem

    I tried to install the recommended updates, but the Airport 5.5.3 and Java for Mac OSX 10.5 Update 10 1.0 wouldn't install because they couldn't be verified.  What does this mean?  I don't understand why Apple would need to verify them, or be unable to verify them, if they come from Apple.  Also, I've been having trouble with video on my MacBook Pro and am wondering if this problem could be related to the installation issue?

    I just tried the updates again and these were the error messages I received:
    For Java: The Installer could not validate the contents of the ‘JavaForMacOSX10.5Update10’ package. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
    And for Airport: The digital signature for this package is incorrect. The package may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by “Apple”.

  • XSLT and Java lookup cache

    Hi,
    I´m trying the "Easy RFC lookup from XSLT mappings using a Java helper class" article and I getting a weird problem.
    The result of the RFC lookup called inside the java class is maintained in a kind of cache and  I always get the same results independent of the parameters I use in the following calls.
    Just after calling a Complete Cache Refresh (SXI_CACHE) I got a new result to the lookup.
    If I call in the Interface Mapping Test option it runs fine. However, when I call it from my scenario (SOAP Adapter Sender) the first result of the lookup will be returned until a forced cache refresh.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Fabiano.

    Hello Fabiano,
    I had the same problem like you had.
    The main Problem is that with the example code the request variable is created as NodeList object. In XSLT a variable is somekind of a constant and can't be changed. As the request object is empty after the first request the programm fails at the following line:
    Source source = new DOMSource(request.item(0));
    So I've created a workaround for this problem.
    In the call of the template I've put the request as a parameter object at the template call:
    <xsl:with-param name="req">
    <rfc:PLM_EXPLORE_BILL_OF_MATERIAL xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">
      <APPLICATION>Z001</APPLICATION>
      <FLAG_NEW_EXPLOSION>X</FLAG_NEW_EXPLOSION>
      <MATERIALNUMBER><xsl:value-of select="value"/></MATERIALNUMBER>
      <PLANT>FSD0</PLANT>
      <VALIDFROM><xsl:value-of select="//Recordset/Row[name='DTM-031']/value"/></VALIDFROM>
      <BOMITEM_DATA/>
    </rfc:PLM_EXPLORE_BILL_OF_MATERIAL>
    </xsl:with-param>
    With this change the request will be provided as a String object and not as a NodeList object.
    Afterwards the RfcLookup.java has to be changed to the following:
    package com.franke.mappings;
    import java.io.ByteArrayInputStream;
    import java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.InputStream;

  • Jsp and Presentation screen cache problem

    Hi,
    I have a existing presentation screen which i replaced it with our custom jsp. Now once again i am trying to go back to presentation screen, but my workspace is still showing the Jsp only.
    Is there anyway i can clear the engine cache or workspace cache?
    More Detail:
    1.My presentation screen is called through Interactive component cell
    2.which i replaced with custom jsp by changing Implementationtype to BPM Object Interactive call and by selecting Use Jsp Presentation.At this point i am able to see my Jsp instead of presentation screen.
    3.Now when i changed to Presentation screen again i am able to see the jsp but not the presentation screen.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply. But in our case we found out the problem. We copied Catalog.jar in C:\OraBPMStudioHome\webapps\workspace\WEB-INF\lib
    so what all the changes we made in studio are not reflecting on the workspace. The solution we took is copied the latest catalog.jar from C:\Documents and Settings\xyz\OracleBPMWorkspace\xyzWorkflow\build and replaced C:\OraBPMStudioHome\webapps\workspace\WEB-INF\lib.

  • NetBeans 6.1 and Java WebServer 7 problem under OpenSolaris

    Hello, I have a big problem with NetBeans 6.1 (all upgrade installed) and Sun Java Webserver 7.0 (release 7.0U3 B06/16/2008 10:24); running under OpenSolaris snv_101a (2008.11 RC2).
    The web server is installed into /opt/webserver7/ and run fine, but when I try to add it as a server under NetBeans 6.1 I receive the error about +/opt/webserver7/+ isn't a correct directory.
    Any hint?
    PS: the NetBeans plugin for the WebServer version is 1.6

    Can you report it in NetBeans mailing lists [http://www.netbeans.org/community/lists/top.html|http://www.netbeans.org/community/lists/top.html] and [http://forums.netbeans.org/|http://forums.netbeans.org/] as well?

  • Running application jar and connecting to cache

    Hi
    I created a runnable jar that I run using
    java -jar RunnableJar.jarIn this application i create a named cache with objects.
    NamedCache productInformationNamedCache = CacheFactory.getCache("cachename");
    config for this cache is:
    <cache-mapping>
          <cache-name>cachename</cache-name>
          <scheme-name>default-replicated</scheme-name>
    </cache-mapping>Everything works when I run jar, this and other caches start and process data but when it finishes it closes all caches and besides that during the execution of the jar i can't connect to this caches using other application and invoking:
    NamedCache productInformationNamedCache = CacheFactory.getCache("cachename");Isn't it how it's supposed to work. Correct me if wrong.
    My question is how to make this application persist cache objects and how to connect to it from other application. Im using eclipse and building a runnable jar.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Are you packaging Coherence into your jar? Or is it on your class path?
    The reason I ask is I'm trying to work out what Cache Configuration it's using. I'm guessing the one from the coherence.jar?

  • Vsftpd and large downloads - cache problem

    Today I have raised vsftpd to transfer a lot of files (~30 GB) to my friend's machine. At start all was ok - full download speed was 2 MB/s, and iotop showed these MB's read from FS. When about 4 GB where downloaded  from me, strange things happened. Despite config file (max_clients and max_per_ip were 10, friend was using 10 simulateonous connections in filezilla), many following messages appeared in log (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - friend's address):
    Tue Aug 24 16:30:05 2010 [pid 2] CONNECT: Client "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx", "Connection refused: too many sessions."
    Also the speed felt dramatically - at start there was ~220 KB/s per connection, now lower than 10 KB/s. iotop shows only eventual 124 KB reads from vsftpd. Cache filled all my memory (600 MB data - it's running KDE4 plus some documents and Opera opened):
    $ free -m
    total used free shared buffers cached
    Mem: 3862 3806 55 0 441 2766
    -/+ buffers/cache: 599 3263
    Swap: 2047 0 2047
    Also responsiveness of system changed strangely - operations with disk are as fast as usual, but with RAM became much slower. E.g., I use pacman-cage, and now pacman -Syu works many times slower. I know that reboot would take away this problem, but it's only partial solution.
    Is it the intended caching behavior? (IMO, it's rather not)
    How can be I/O optimized to not to overload cache?

    since your on a fast network, lower your timeout values, they are much too high, also, increase your connections to 15, but tell your friend to only download using 10 or lower connections.
    are the files downloaded small (many files) or large ones. check /var/log/everything.log for related error messages, e.g, I/O, file descriptors.

    I tried setting _nfls parameter to false in request URL, but still it is loading the  page with state as in step1.(i'e page with filters set and with results)
    Any suggestions on how to overcome this?
