Forwarding copy of SPAM-tagged subjects to my mailbox?

Our ISP was starting to tag some of our mails with the addition [SPAM] in the subject.
How can I forward a copy of every incoming mail with such a text in the subject to a internal spam-mailbox for further checks?
Can I use some kind of regular expression for the search of "SPAM" in the subject?
If our C100 doesn't detect such a mail as spam, how can I remove the added tag from the ISP?
(Some of our employees are a little bit confused about this and ask for the appropriate handling of such mails).

Yes, you can generally put in an incoming content filter that will search for something like this:
if ( subject == "^[SPAM]" )
then
alt-mailhost('alternate_location');
or
bcc-scan('[email protected]')
The Advanced User guide found on the Support Portal will explain these actions in further detail.
However, we need to verify what Sendergroup/Mail Flow Policy the ISP is matching on. This makes a difference because we need to know if this connection is occurring on the inbound(Accepted, Throttled mail flow policy) or on the outbound (Relayed).
Is the ISP on a Relaylist? (Mail Policies > HAT Overview)

  • Removing the [Spam] tag from non Spam emails

I have a few emails which come through to my Inbox with [Spam] in the subject field.  These emails are not Spam.  How do I remove the [Spam] tag and tell the system that they are not Spam.
If the system thinks they are Spam, why don't they go straight into the Spam folder?

    Hi orange_dude,
Check out this link for more info on how to filter spam. Let me know if this helps.

  • How to change bounce message for spam tagged email?

    Hello,
I'm checking outgoing email messages for spam. I will send bounce to email sender (user from my domain) if message is tagged as positive or suspected spam. ok, I can set it, but how can I change text in bounce message?
default bounce if mail is tagged as spam is:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
    Subject: FW: something
    Sent: 7/12/2009 8:33 PM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
[email protected] on 7/12/2009 8:35 PM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did not report a specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it still fails, contact your system administrator.
    <smtp.domain.com #5.0.0 smtp; 5.x.0 - Message bounced by administrator (delivery attempts: 0)>
^^ but there is no information for the sender that message is not possible deliver, because is tagged as spam.
Is it possible to change this default message?
    (AsyncOS: v6.5.2-101)

You are correct that it doesn't appear that the Positive Spam or Suspect Spam setting doesn't appear to give you any leeway on using a different bounce profile/message to whomever you bounce it back to.
You may want to consider this workaround.
    1. In the Action, change it to "Deliver"
    2. In the Advanced section of both the Positive and Suspect spam, there is a section labeled "Add Custom Header". Add a custom header like the following:
    X-Internal-Spam-Message: true
    3. Then, since this message will still go through the outgoing content filters, you can create an outgoing content filter that looks for the "X-Internal-Spam-Message" header. If that header exist, then the outgoing content filter will match. For the action, you may need to use the "notify()" action and notify the original sender that it could not get delivered since it was detected to be spam. There is an option to attach the original message. The reason you need to use the notify() instead of the bounce() is because bounce doesn't currently have the option to specify which bounce profile to use.
You can only specify a different bounce profile in the "Mail Policies > Destination Controls".
Let me know if you have any question.

  • How to get Mail 8.1 to forward an email based on Subject line?

I am using Mail 8.1 under MacOSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
I would like to create a rule that takes all mail received into a specific Mailbox and send or forward it to an email address which forms the Subject line of that email, changing the Subject line of the outgoing email to "Response Received".
What is the easiest way to do this?

You first need to setup iCloud and then setup an iCloud email account. Either that or you can set up an IMAP email account with your email provider. Your current email is probably a POP3 account, it may be able to convert it to IMAP but you would need to check with your email provider first.

  • How to block spam with subject "Here you have"?

    Hello,
Cisco IronPort has identified a SPAM Outbreak with Subject "Here you have" and has published IronPort AntiSpam rules to protect from these messages.
If you notice the messages bypassing your Email Security Appliance, please verify that these messages are being scanned by IronPort AntiSpam via Message Tracking or Mail logs.
If these messages are not being scanned by IronPort AntiSpam due to Whitelisting or Policy exceptions, you can create an incoming content filter to catch these messages.

    Hello,
McAfee is also reporting this SPAM attack and has just posted an announcement regarding their work around to https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB69857 .  Cisco IronPort Email Security Appliance customers using McAfee and/or IPAS should now be catching this SPAM.

  • When clicking on search results in google or yahoo, I am automatically forwarded to some spam or ad site

When I search in Google or Yahoo, if I click on the results of a search I am automatically sent to a spam or ad site and not the url that I click on. I can copy and paste the URL into my browser but it will not let me click. Same results in Firefox or Internet Explorer. None of my spyware including Norton, Malwarebytes or superspyware has found the problem.

  • Which Domain Forwarding sites offer meta tags?

I am soon going to publish my website through .mac with iweb. I have some expirience with webdesign in the past and I know that .mac does not have meta tag implementation.
That being said I know some domain forwarding cann allow you to implement keywords and meta tags into the forwarding url. In the past I know .co.nr the free domain forwarding site allows this. that way when you searched for thissite.co.nr the keywords and description you entered would be displayed. I am not sure if other places allow for this same sort of meta tag placement for domain forwarding. This would really help with overcoming the issue with meta-tags in iWeb if possible.
Does anyone know what domain sites offer this sort of feature? Does Godaddy.com?

    newmacguru,
The situation is a little bit different with masked Domain Forwarding. The meta-information is placed into the frames code which is responsible for the masking. Since this code is generated by the domain forwarding setup, it is not available for editing like other iWeb HTML files. Futhermore, with a masked Domain Forwarding setup, search engines that find the domain URL only see the frames code and whatever meta-information is contained in the frames code. So even if you add meta-information to the iWeb HTML pages behind the masking domain name, the search engines will never see it.
This is one major downside to using masked domain forwarding.

  • Mail: Outgoing emails have 'Possible Spam' in subject line.

When I send emails using Mail they are received with 'Possible Spam' added to the subject line. Of course they are not received at all by some providers like Yahoo, gmail and hotmail, also some others. I think it is a Mail problem because it does not happen when I use my provider's webmail rather than Mail. Help?

Who is your email provider? If your email is received by some people with the words "Possible Spam" in the Subject line, that's done by their email provider; it has nothing to do with Mail or Mac OS X. And if your email is being blocked by Yahoo! Mail, Gmail and Hotmail, that's something they are controlling. For some reason they may have blacklisted the domain of your provider for being a known sender of spam in the past.
The only way to cure that problem is to have your email provider contact the other email providers and try to get them to take you off their list of blocked or questionable domains.

    Hi User,
    Please follow the below link:

Basically just to give you a heads up, you copy paste the RPD and webcatalog file from your dev instance to same locations in prod instance.
Award points if your question is answered.
