Frame content alignment

Hi All,
Does anyone know how to retrieve and set frame content alignment settings, not text alignment?

Hello,
if by text box you mean a standard textarea item then i'm afraid you can't do that.
It might be possibel if you use a rich text editor item.

Content Alignment in webdynpro iView based on user language

Hi,
We have a webdynpro application which has a search screen
(Arabic as well as English), based on the user language setting in Portal UME, the respective language text with options are displayed.
This webdynpro application runs on same WAS where Portal is running.
When we test this application standalone like typing the URL of the webdynpro application, it shows english text with Left to right aligned content in browser for user X with Language as EN.
When we test this application standalone like typing the URL of the webdynpro application, it shows arabic text with Right to Left aligned content in browser for user Y with Language as Arabic.It works fine when it is stand alone (when we directly run the webdynpro).
We created a WebDynpro iView in Portal, and we tested with user Y (whose language is set to Arabic), issue is text is properly displayed in Arabic, but the content alignment is left to right, which should be Right to Left.
Please let me know your solution/thought to the above mentioned issue/problem.

Hi,
The webdynpro application works fine (alignment and content is fine)when i access it directly.
When i create a webdynpro iView and run it inside portal it is not working fine (alignment is LTR instead of RTL)
I went through the SAP help <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6e/8aae409567942ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm">RTL Alignment</a>and tried creating new themes and created a new desktop and assigned it to the user. It is still the same with LTR alignment.
The issue is, why it is not working inside PRT, when it works fine inside WebDynpro Runtime.

I am using Frame control and navigating to Test.xaml, Test.xaml contains some windows Label control with styles, So Need change the Test.xaml label color dynamically, while it's in Frame, How..Please help me...?.

1) Create some public static Brushes inside Test.xaml.cs
2) In the setters for these brushes, assign the value to the Labels

Scrollable frame/content in fixed layout epub

I am suggesting that Adobe InDesign be enhanced with the capability to generate scrollable frames/content in the development of fixed layout epubs.
This is one way that Adobe could appease Creative Cloud subscribers, given the planned retirement of DPS Single Edition, effective May 01, 2015,

Scale9Grid and content alignment

I've just started using fb3 and while converting my fb2
project, I've come to notice that the scale9grid of the container's
skin now by default affects how the content is aligned. Although
otherwise changes to margin/padding attributes feel welcome, this
in particular makes me feel like going back to the dark ages of
html tables, where content can't overlap with the surrounding skin
parts and has to fit inside the stretching part of the skin.
Okay, pretty quickly I discovered that setting ClipContent to
false allows placing the content in relation to the container's
(and skin's) top-left corner but still, for instance, setting
content's width or height to 100% sets it's size to match the
scale9grid's inner rectangle instead of container's size.
It's still possible to hack through this by setting negative
padding values to counter the effect of the scale9 margins but it's
really a drag. Container's width and height still match the size of
the skin, not the stretching square of the scale9, so why can't the
content alignment and paddings default to this?

... still, setting clipContent = false is hardly a solution
if you want scrollable content... unless you add another
transparent container to clip the content and control scroll.

Getting them right wasn't too hard although some components
still lacked ability to tweak paddings/borderThickness.. Now, I
wonder how far I can get with flex3 when it's trying to stretch the
skin each time around the content? If you look at the panel skins,
you'll notice that the skin has some graphic style behind the panel
content. The stretching gridsquare is below and to the right of
this, so the panel stretches alright, but it's obvious that I
wouldn't want the content to follow the scalegrid in any way. Only
thing the content should obey are the paddings (
'borderThicknesses' in flex2).

Key combination to render frame content as pdf

I am not able to print my bank statement, which is presented on the Internet as a paginated document in a frame. The "print" link get me onyl the portion in the frame (less than a page). In Lion I was able to 2-finger tap the content and get the whole doc. Now the best I can get is the frame content that is showing. While trying various key combinations, I got a new window to appear with a pdf version of the entire document - I was able to print it. But I cannot discover what combination of keys I used. Can anyone tell me how to pop up a pdf verison of the doc so that I can print it the next time I need it? I have given up on trying to get any browser to just print it straight off. I am using Chrome, but I have also tried Safari and Firefox. I am on OS 10.9.2. Thanks.

Do your forms change so frequently that you need real-time access to the FOR ???
One of the major issues I see with that kind of setup is ensuring that the calling web service gets the correct version of the form.
Say you have form 123 456 (2010-01) Documaker version 1, revision 10, that has been published and 123 456 (2012-06) Documaker version 2.1, not published, and a work-in-process. Unless you build a complete parallel forms management system, chances are you would often get the wrong version of a form.
Distributing a form in a "work-in-process" state is never good, but try to imagine the panic if, by mistake, a future version of a form, drastically reducing the coverage, is leaked.
You could probably build the search features on a set of folders containing the PDF version of approved, published forms. That's the kind of setup we have in place.

I'm trying to select the frames content (which is an image) to determine if the image's geometric bounds exceed the size of it parent frame geometric bounds.
That's the snippet I have so far. I just need help with the sub-selection and obtaining it's bounds. I know how to calculate the rest.

Tab Content Alignment in JTabbedPane

I want to left-align the contents of the tabs on my JTabbedPane, so that the icons all line up. Does anyone have a procedure for doing this?

Nope. All my tabs are on the left hand side.
What I want is a way to put the contents of the tabs aligned left as well.
When the tabs are placed on the left or the right, they are all automatically sized the same as the widest tab.
When content is put into the tabs, it is centered on the tab. This makes the icons appear out of alignment and messy, because not all of the titles are the same length.
I need a way to ensure (despite the width of the tab) that the content is left-aligned. This would make the icons all line up.

Exporting Frame content to Word?

Hi,
I am working on manuals that have been done in both Frame 7.2 and Word 2003 and am hoping to migrate to a newer version of Frame some day.
Right now I'm trying to update a few Word-based manuals with some content from Frame docs but it's slow and tedious.
If I cut a range of text and graphics from the Frame doc, and do a Paste Special -> RTF into Word, all I get is the text without the original formatting (the Frame styles don't survive the cut and paste). BTW, Word offers only RTF and text as methods for Paste Special. Then I have to cut and paste each graphic with Paste-> Special -> Bitmap. The SOP here is to embed all graphics rather than link them.
Can anyone advise if there is an easier way to move content from Frame to Word? If it's possible in a later release, then that would be motivation to upgrade.

The filters in newer version of FM seem to have evolved slightly, but the Best Practice solution is to buy a copy of MIF2Go from omsys.com and use that to export. It's the only solution that maintains most of the look and feel of the FM documents and doesn't drop data on the floor.

We started recently seeing an issue with a HTML webpage alignment when accessing it via webvpn on ASA5540. When the webpage is accessed directly the content seems to be OK. It started happening recently and there was no changes on ASA. What might cause this issue?

This is a regression that was introduced in Firefox 4.0 beta 12. It is fixed in 4.0 release candidate 1, which is now available. Go here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0rc1/releasenotes/ and click on the green button "Firefox 4 rc free download". Note that you should do a custom install and change the install directory to the directory where your beta version is located. Alternatively, you should receive a notification that an update is available from within the beta version. Follow the instructions to download and install the update, and once you are running the release candidate, your printing problem should be fixed.

Advanced frame content scaling

as a professional user of InDesign CS3, I'm in the dire need of a functionality which I'm not sure even exists. Here my problem:
For a particular job, I need to import multiple images in frames organized on a grid. When done, I need to scale the content of all frames (direct selection tool) a the same time. Now here's how InDesign behaves:
- When I select the content of only one frame, the scaling percentage shown is the percentage of the real print-size of imported material in that particular frame. Fine.
- Now if I press Shift and proceed to select the content of the next frame, this percentage turns to 100%, regardless of anything. Fine.
- If I change this percentage, say to 120%, all the "contents" wil be scaled proportionally, which is what I want. Fine.
- Now here's where it hurts: all the "contents", when going through this transformation, use a common transformation origin; which means that those which are far from the origin partially or completely disappear because their position gets modified, and thus they move partially or completely out of the frame.
I would like the transform action to use per-frame origins, that is, every content would use it's own frame's transformation origin.
I hope my question is clear enough...
If yes, has anyone a solution?

Right! Using "Transform again individually" does it.
I knew it well from Illustrator (or its close equivalent). I should have thought about this one... Still it's kind of awkward to have to make the transformation and then repeat it. But it's better than not having it at all!

Content Alignment

I am having an issue with some content aligment on the site www.murrayralston.com. It looks okay in some browsers but I have noticed that in Chrome, and safari the phone numbers on the top right side of the page are bumped down to below the company name. I have no idea why this is happening but it is supposed to be aligned to the top of the page. In firefox, IE, and Opera all seem fine.
Any suggestions would be a huge help.

Updating frame content between Thread.sleep() calls

I have several JLabels in a Frame. What I want is to update the content of the labels (to be more precise, the ImageIcons), but with pauses in between each update (lets say 1 second). So, I want to change the content of one label, have those changes show on screen, then, wait for a second and change the content of the second label, show the changes, wait for a second, change the next label, and so on...
What I'm doing is:
change label 1
Thread.sleep(1000);
change label 2
Thread.sleep(1000);
change label 3
Thread.sleep(1000);
...And the problem is that the individual changes are not shown on screen until the whole process has finished. It does pause after each change, but the change to the particular label is not shown afterwards. Then, when the whole process is finished, the changes to all the labels are shown simultaneously on screen.
I have tried calling repaint() and validate() after each call to Thread.sleep(), but it makes no difference.
Why are the changes not updated on screen until the end?
How can I achieve what I'm trying to do?

You're sleeping in the main thread, so you're holding up the paint thread too...
I'd trying extending each label / visual component, to include it's own timer and thread.
