  • Free Goods for QT order Types

    Can I use automatic Free goods determination for QT order types.
    however i am using it for OR right now and i have done the related configuration for QT as well but system is not detmining Free Goods for QT order types.
    I have also maintained the below entry in "Determine Item Category for Free Goods Item"
    Sa Type   ItCGr         Usg.     HLevelItCa  DfltC
    QT            NORM      FREE     AGN           AGNN

    Hi
    Std SAP itself doesnt support Free Goods at quotation level
    Standard SAP supports Free Goods at quotation level and hence the item categories AFNN and AGNN are provided in the standard SAP. But,  the Automatic determination of Free Goods is not possible for SD documents under category other than 'C'.
    In your scenario...since the automatic determination is not possible, think about handling the functionality manually or through user exits.
    Thanks,

  • Free Goods Without Sales Order

    Dear Gents
    We have a scenario where goods are issued for free without a sales order,it's not considered sales,they just give some materials out from the stock as gifts&issue it on a cost center , there is no sales order,invoice,etc..is it normal then that the accounting entry passed would be Dr Cost Of Goods Sold Cr Inventory or what should be the correct scenario , Thanks.

    Dear Expert,
    When Goods are Given as gifts or Samples it becomes an expense for the company. So in my view it has to be shown as an expense.
    The Accounting Entry would be :
    Advertising A/c ....Dr
            To Purchases A/c ....Cr

  • Freight Conditions not populating on free of charge sales order deliveries

    I need some assistance, please.  I have searched SCN, but have not been able to find a solution to my problem.
    We need to be able to charge freight charges on Free of Charge sales orders and am not able to get the charges to populate in the delivery.  We send the product for free, but sometimes need to charge the customer shipping charges.
    Below are steps I have completed:
    Created custom header condition of ZFRC
    Added to sales order pricing procedure as a manual condition
    (the charge will be updated from external system)
    Created Delivery Pricing procedure containing only my
    freight conditions (also manual condition)
    VTLA settings for item category KLN (free of charge item):Condition Order requirements – 1 Header
    VTFL settings for item category KLN:
    Pricing Type – D  Copy pricing elements unchanged
    Price Source – E  Delivery/Order
    There are times when the freight charges will be added to the sales order, but I also need to be able to add them directly on the delivery.
    When charges are added directly to the sales order, they will flow thru to the invoice without an issue, but when I try to add at the delivery level, they are not populating, which results in $0 invoice.
    I am not receiving any kind of error messages when trying to add the charges.
    We also have this situation with standard orders, but I am not having any problems with it.  I tried to mimic that set up for free of charge orders, but it is not functioning properly.
    Any assistance would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi Amitesh,
    Yes, the condition type used in the Sales Order is the same, ZFRC and it is also a header condition.
    The condition analysis is not available in the invoice because there is no condition in the invoice.  Below are screen shots of the analysis from the LINE ITEM of the delivery note (there is not analysis available on the header) and the header details of the conditions from the invoice and the delivery.
    Line Item Analysis:

    Please let me know if you need further information.

  • Free of Charge Sales Order to GTS

    All of our sales orders pulls over the price into GTS for license assignment; except for one sales order type.  This sales order type is for FOC sales orders.
    I have checked the sales order type in the R/3 and the GTS system and it is listed.
    Anyone have a clue why this particular order does not work with GTS

    It states the following: all green
    Performance of service: legal control
    Active legal regulations found for determination procedure "LELDT"
    Check legal regulation "EAR"
    Country "KR" determined as relevant partner country
    Run Import/Export License Type Determination
    Check objects for determination procedure ZCTY1 found
    Determination of Import/Export License Type at Country/Control Class Lvl
    Check legal regulation "ITAR"
    Country "KR" determined as relevant partner country
    Run Import/Export License Type Determination
    Check objects for determination procedure ZCTY1 found
    Determination of Import/Export License Type at Country/Control Class Lvl
    This is a free of charge sales order...no charge to customer but needs the value for the customs document and needs to depreciate and it is not.

  • COGS determination for Free of cost sales order

    Hi All,
    We have an issue regarding the COGS determination for Free of cost sales order. We created a free of cost sales order. But i need to know whether this sales order items will hit to COGS or not? If so how do i check whetehr its has been charged to COGS or not? and we have an issue raised saying thst one material in this sales order has not being charged to COGS. So please help me to solve this issue. Ihave checked the account assignment in GBB-VAX. And is there anyting to do with the settlement profile for COGS determination?.
    Thanks and regards
    Uday

    Hi,
    During PGI a material document and accounting doc gets created which would hit COGS account.
    You're talking about one specific sales order in which for one material it didn't hit COGS account or any order you're creating now with that material has an issue? If its a specific material which has an issue always..then something is wrong with that material master setup. Also you can go to the reported Sales order--doc flow to the PGI document and check the accounting doc and if its not posted..check the analysis why its not posted?
    And if its one off then I would suggest 2 options:
    1) Reverse the goods movement, cancel the delivery or if billing has already been done..cancel the billing as well. And re-do the cycle. This always ensures correct posting.--> Recommended option.
    2) Manual adjustment in FI.
    And settlement profile is Controlling concept..not sure you would get any help on this in this forum.
    Regards
    RS

  • Start up and shut down is slow after erasing free space using disk utility?

    I went to Disk Utility, clicked Erase, and then "Erase Free Space." When I saw that it was going to take 1 hour and 30 minutes, I tried closing disk utility. It wouldn't let me exit, so instead I pressed "Skip." But when you hover over the "Skip" button it says, "Erase all data and reformat the disk."
    I'm wondering if the fact that I pressed the skip button has anything to do with my computer shutting down/starting up A LOT slower now. If so, what can I do to fix it?
    Thanks!

    Just wanted to give an update. I called Apple and apparently, you shouldn't empty the free space using disk utility while you're logged in. I had to insert the Installations CD and press the "C" button while my computer restarted, and used Disk Utility from there. My start up and shut down speed still isn't exactly the way it was before, but this definitely made a difference.
    Thank you to those who replied to my question!

  • How does the Recover Disk Creator work in fact?

    So I've read on the forum about the Recover Disk Creator and I'm a bit confused.. in the name it becomes clear that it is in fact a creator but I no thread has caught my eye that actually involves creating a recovery disk. How does it work? Obviously it is used to recover the system to factory defaults but can you make your own recovery back-ups from the state the system is in that time? Or do all the recovery disks just take you to where it all began so to speak..
    And if I could create my own presets, does it have any limitations on amounts of the images? And does it bring with it all that is installed at the time the image has been created?
    Like I've made clear in my earlier posts I haven't yet bought the thing.. it's in the mail. I'm just preparing myself for the awful experience of how things can go wrong when I don't have the original Windows DVD in my hands :)
    Thanks ahead!

    Hello
    So many questions!!! I will try to help you with few clear words.
    In the past Toshiba has delivered the notebooks with recovery medias. For very old notebooks Toshiba has created mostly two Recovery CDs and for newer notebooks one Recovery DVD.
    This recovery DVD was in the box with the notebook.
    This recovery CD/DVD contains one recovery image. Recovery image can be installed on the notebook and after every installation the notebook will have factory settings the same state you have when you start your notebook for the first time.
    Recovery image contains operating system, drivers, Toshiba tools and utilities and some additional software. So after installing recovery image you must not install any drivers or additional software. All is done for you.
    So, newest notebooks, like your Satellite Pro A300-1EA, are not delivered with separated recovery media and everyone who buy the notebook must/should create own copy. This copy can be used for further operating system installations. For recovery media creation Toshiba has designed special tool and it is designed for recovery media creation ONLY.
    Start the tool, choose media you want to use (I recommend you DVD-R), put media into optical disc drive and click on button Create.
    Actually the recovery image is saved on HDD and placed on second partition in folder called HDDRecovery.
    There is one more thing. If nothing is changed on the system, partitions and if this folder is not deleted you can install operating system anytime you want but without using recovery media.
    It is very simply procedure. When notebook starts press F8 and you will enter Advanced Boot options. The first one is called Repair my computer. Enter this one and follow the menu on the screen. After two steps you will see the window with several options and the last one is Recovery option.
    So, please create recovery DVD to be on the safe side.
    If you have more questions please ask. Someone here will help for sure.
    Good luck!

  • Less and less free space in disk everyday!?

    A few days ago I noticed that my free space in disk was going down with no apparent reason... yesterday I woke up and discovered that my free space in disk was... 0kb! doing nothing different, nor downloading stuff or so...
    I 've been searching all day long for a reason and discovered some files in /private/var/log/DiagnosticMessages/ that apparently went nuts (2, 5 & 6 Gib logfiles?):
    !http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/5405/capturadepantalla200909.png!
    Does anyone know something about?

    If you haven't already - try a shutting it down rather than putting it to sleep.
    I've been experiencing exactly the same thing. I was excited when Leopard gave me an additional 11gb of free space - but then it started shrinking.
    For the last 5 days, EVERYTIME I turn my computer on it says "Zero MB available". Each day I've had to clear between 1-2gb a day to allow myself to do the most basic of tasks.
    I reckon it's a problem with the swap files. I just "Shut Down" my computer and on a restart gained 12gb back.
    I'd be interested to know if this works for you.

  • Erased free space in Disk Utility, and after it finished it kept a DMG there.

    I erased free space in Disk Utility, and after it finished it kept a DMG there called "DeveloperDiskImage.dmg", why is it left behind? can it be deleted? how? if erasing free space is supposed to help get memory and remove all the files truly, it shouldnt be creating anything, it created a DMG at the start, but it went away, after a hour and a half it made the DeveloperDiskImage, i went to eat dinner and when i came back it was done but that was left.

    Delete it. Erasing the free space isn't supposed to free up any space; it's there in case someone deleted a file insecurely when they meant to securely delete it.

  • Filevault won't recover disk space

    I have filevault on on my macbook pro. When I shutdown, it usually recovers the disk space that is replaced from the files I deleted (when I emptied the trash), as it should. However, this is the second time that I've had this problem where, when I shutdown or restart or logoff, filevault won't recover my disk space. And I need that space...now! What do I do? Why won't it show the "recovering disk space" thing when I shut down?! In the past, I just waited a while, and eventually, it worked one day.

  • Disk order changes, grub problem, filesystem check failed

    I'm having some problems installing Archlinux onto a machine with a lot of SATA drives, some connected by SATA cards. I have tried the 2009-08 netinstaller burned to CD, both -x86_64.iso and -x86_64-isolinux.iso, and I have the same problem with both.
    I am installing from a USB-connect optical drive to an Intel X25-M 80GB SSD connected to a motherboard SATA port. I also have 2 HDDs connected to motherboard SATA ports, and 4 more HDDs connected to 4 SIL-based PCIe SATA cards. Additionally, I have a 4GB Patriot USB flash drive connected to a motherboard USB port. None of the HDDs have a bootable MBR, I am planning to create an mdadm RAID with the HDDs, but the USB flash drive is bootable. The motherboard is an Asus Z8PE-D18 with the latest BIOS, in AHCI mode.
    First thing to note is that I was able to successfully install Fedora 12 linux to this machine in the exact configuration that I am trying to install Archlinux. I just installed Fedora 12 again last night, and it installed and loaded fine when I rebooted from the SSD.
    So, the problems I am having with Archlinux. During install, I found that the SSD is showing up as either /dev/sde or /dev/sdf. This is odd since it was /dev/sda with Fedora. It makes sense for it to be /dev/sda, since it is on the first motherboard SATA port. But I proceeded with the Archlinux install, and grub seemed to detect the stage1 location properly -- root was set to (hda4,0) or (hda5,0) depending on whether the SSD was at sde or sdf. The kernel root was configured by UUID, so that does not depend on the drive order. Okay so far.
    The problem shows up on reboot. The bootloader immediately complains that there is no such partition sde1 or sdf1. I drop into a grub command line and do
    find /boot/grub/stage1
    and it replies with (hd0,0), so I modify the boot line to root (hd0,0) and boot. Now it gets pretty far. Lots of boot messages scroll by. Here are some of the last few before the problem:
    Waiting 10 seconds for device /dev/disk/by-uuid/22a35aa2-9799-4575-b1eb-456e819a1a26 ...
    kjournald starting.  Commit interval 5 seconds
    EXT3-fs (sde1): mounted filesystem with writeback data mode
    INIT: version 2.86 booting
    ::Starting UDev DAemon
    ::Triggering UDev uevents
    ::Loading Modules
    ::Waiting for UDev uevents to be processed
    ::Bringing up loopback interface
    ::Mounting Root Read-only
    ::Checking Filesystems
    /dev/sdf1:
    The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
    filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
    filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
    is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock
    **** FILESYSTEM CHECK FAILED
    * Please repair manually and reboot. Note that the root file system
    * is currently mounted read-only....
    Give root password for maintenance
    So I logged in as root and did an fdisk -l. The boot SSD was at /dev/sde. The menu.lst has root as (hd5,0), which would be sdf (which was correct during installation, but the disk order apparently changed). The kernel root= in menu.lst used by-uuid, and it at least points to the correct drive, which I suppose is why I was able to boot as far as I did, but when it tries to mount the root filesystem, it fails as shown above.
    So, at initial grub boot, the grub stage1 is found at (hd0,0). During installation, the SSD was sdf, but after booting the kernel, the SSD is sde. What is going on?
    One other experiment  is that I pulled all the drives (including USB flash drive) except the SSD. The HDDs are in hot-swap slots, so that was easy. The PCIe SATA cards are still plugged into the PCIe slots. Then I was able to successfully install and boot Archlinux. But when I plugged the drives back in and rebooted, I had the same problem as detailed above.
    Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    I had the same problem.
    Last week I installed Arch onto a new SATA HD. I wanted to make sure the installation worked before I attached the other drives. On booting with the other drives attached, similar messages.
    My solution:
    Login as root.
    Follow the instruction to mount / as read-write so you can make changes to the filesystem.
    edit /etc/fstab and eliminate the references to /dev/sdxx and replace them with UUIDs or labels (as suggested above) as these won't change.
    in /etc/fstab ...
    # external data sources
    #data /dev/sdb6
    UUID=931d7107-1241-4d82-ad28-fcbe7af8ba69 /data ext3 defaults 0 0
    #Documents /dev/sda9
    /dev/disk/by-label/Documents /data/Documents ext3 defaults 0 0
    Reboot and you should be good.
    You can find the UUID of the drives by using
    $ blkid
    or you can set a drive label with e2label, assuming you are using ext2,3 or 4
    Good luck.

  • Clicked erase free space in disk utility, now I have no SPACE!

    I ran erase free space in disk utility in hopes of freeing up more room on my hard drive, and had 34 GB free, but now it says zero kb available. I have never done this before. It still has twelve hours to go, and I was wondering if this was normal.

    You might see a message saying that you are running out of disk space, but you can ignore that warning. When this operation is complete, you will have the same amount of free space as you did when it started.
