Style sheet with Struts frame work

Hi,
I am using MyEclipse editor. I am trying to use Style sheet in my JSP page using Struts frame work. I tried several ways but style sheet is not applying on my JSP page. Please look at my code and let me know where is the problem.
1. I created a project called "AcmiReports". In the webroot I created folder called "CSS". In this folder I created "AcmiReports.css" file. In my JSP I am using like this

Where am I doing wrong? I read somewhere that I need to set some thing in struts-config file. Is this true.

No its not working fine, i m also facing the same problem with my code..
when ever i come to jsp page through action css works fine, but if i directly forward to jsp page, css doesnt work

I'm new to this STRUTS frame work. Can any one explain me in detail (if possible with an example) about,, why we need to use STRUTS framework as we have already JSP's.
For example if we want to move from one JSP to another JSP, it is quite easy to move to the page with out any other extra logic. Where as comes to the point of STRUTS, we need to write, JSP form, Form-bean class, Action Class, configure our STRUTS XML file, if validation needed validation xml files. Is it not looking cumbersome to process?
Please help me to recover from this...

How to get MS Access DB connection in struts frame work?

I am trying to get MS Access db connection in struts frame work .
I am using websphere.I don't know whether i have to set any configuration in the WSAD.
In struts-Config.xml i am having this mapping

While trying to execute this code i am getting this error
java.sql.SQLException: DBCP could not obtain an idle db connection, pool exhausted
any idea why this error is occuring?

By the way STRUTS just copies the attribute to underlying html (meaning the language, not the string) tag (if onclick is allowed, as you can easily check reading tld or pressing Ctrl+Space in any IDE). So support depends on the browser. Bye.

in my application one jsp page for user input. foruser input i am creating one action form for this. and also one DTO class for handing action form .
my main aim is elimunate the actionclass coding thrugh DTOclass .
this is my problem.

Please ignore my previous answer. RowSetDynaClass can be implemented DTO but this will only solve half of your problem. RowSetDynaClass can be used to retrieve the data from the database. RowSetDynaClass cannot be used to encapsulate the data from a Form to take to the database. For this you can use a HashMap or BeanUtils classes.
There are a few examples of implementing those. But I am still looking for a good one.
Is there any point to use RowSetDynaClass to retrive info from DB if you are going to use a HashMap/BeanUtils to get the information from the Form? Should we only use HashMap/BeanUtils for transport the information back and forth between DB and View?

Delete credit memo work item created in VA01 when the user change value

Hi,
In T.code VA01 Credit memo request is creating, this document will automatically create work item. Based on Net value in credit memo request, the work item should go for 5 levels of approval. After 1st person is approved, the workflow initiator realized that the net value in created Credit Memo request is wrong; he is going to VA02 and correcting the net value. Again we have to create new work item for this and delete the already created work item. Client has clearly mentioned when ever there is change in 5 critical fields in VA02 then only create fresh work item otherwise no need to create SECOND TIME work item. Net value is one of the critical field in the list.
How to track already created credit memo request and how to delete the previously created work item. What is the feasibility of this requirement and how to handle this situation?

Hi,
Just put a Fork and put 1 out of 2 outcomes and in the first alternative, you put your witem that goes to user B. In the 2nd alternative, put a Wait for event "CHANGED". And after this, put a process control step with "Set workitems to Obsolete" or "Cancel workflow" etc., depending on your requirement.
Pl note that this will only take out old witems, but you need to send a new witem for which you need to trigger another instance of the workflow as well. pl put CHANGED event also as one of the triggering events and use condition editor to restrict the fields that triggers the workflow.
Also, look into the IMG config of the following path. This might be a fitting solution.
In SPRO, go to Financial Accounting (New)---> Financial Accounting Global settings(New) -
>Tools --->Workflow ---> Workflow for Document Parking -->Reset Release Approvals(Customers).
Here, you can list down the fields, the workflow should restart. But, then you need to give the workflow details etc., in the relevant config settings.
We have used this in restarting workflows for General Ledger(GL) documents' workflow when some important fields are changed.

Dynamically deleting row in struts

Can any one suggest me how to delete a row by highlighting it. I am using struts frame work and my home page consists of a table with the data populated from the database, my requirement here is to give an option to the user to delete a row by highlight it. I do not have any idea of doing this. Do we have any specific functionality in struts to do this??

Not sure , how to highlight a row and delete it , but you can have onClick,onKeyDown,ondblclick ..... events on TR which may be used to trigger the deletion.

Global Exceptions in Struts

When ever there is an error I need to handle the exceptions gracefully. Since I'm using struts frame work I'm using global-exceptions declarative.
Here is the struts-config.xml where I have included <global-exceptions>

Most probably its the wrond struts version...you cannot use message resources in struts i.0, might want to change the head of the struts-config.xml to

No there isn't a global exception handler in JSF. At least none that I've ever heard of or run across. This is something I think JSF dropped the ball on. Maybe in a future release?
I'm afraid you'll have to get creative with error processing. It's tricky with JSF.
The way I did it in my application was to create error pages (as you mentioned). I configured the web.xml to redirect to these error pages if there was an uncaught exception. There are some serious limitations when you forward to a JSF page like this though. First, you need to make your error page have f:subview tags instead of f:view. Then, I couldn't get commandLink or commandButton to work right. The action method never got executed!
You may have already seen some discussions about this. If not, dig around in the forums and you'll find a few good tips.
