From error page to original page
I have written a simple error page and now i want to place a resubmit button in it to take me back to the original jsp page from where the error was generated.
any help will be appreciated
Your problem is most likely that your error page is generic and you don't know what the previous page is going to be.
In that case it's a question of how do you get to the error page. The page will have to know in some way what the previous page was and that's not going to be easy to fix. You would have to submit the pagename including the parameters to the error page before the user can be sent back, making sure that the page won't submit again when the user goes back to it.

This worked properly at one time in IE.

Error message says need Adobe reader 8 or 9 installed to open pdfs from web pages yet Reader 9 is alredy installed on computer. Is this a 64 bit ossue although I am sure I did not have this problem prior to a replacement hard drive being installed.

What is the exact message you are getting? -
When I try to print from web page I get a dialogue box "Printer not activated - error code 30" followed by a dialogue box "An unknown error occurred while printing". The printer works on websites when I use Internet Explorer. Also, if I copy the web page and paste it into a Word document, I can print a copy. This issue just started this week; I have not encountered this problem prior to this week. Please advise.

JSP error page does not displayed on its own, includes in the original JSP
Problem Description: - Exceptions in a Condition cause pages to fail to render.
The actual issue is, the JSP error page does not displayed on its own, included in the original JSP Page when exception occurs.
Problem Cause: As per the JSP specification when jsp content reached the buffer size (default 8KB) the page being flushed (Part of condent displays). The default �autoFlush� value is true.
When the page buffer value is default size (8KB), and if any exception occurs after flushing the part of the content, instead of redirecting into error page, the error page content included in the original page.
If i specify autoFlush="false" and with default buffer size, at the runtime if the buffer size is reached, i am getting stackoverflow error.
To solve the above problem we can make it autoFlush=�false� and buffer=�100KB�. But we can�t predict the actual size of the page.
I found in one of the weblogic forum as no solution for this issue. Ref.

Please provide me any solution to resolve the problem.Error-Page tags work best with an error.html pages. If you have an error.jsp page what I would do, and I have, is wrap my classes and jsp pages in a try catch block where you forward to the error jsp page and display anything you want. YOu can also do this with if else statements. I have used the tomcat error pages before but when I've implemented them I used java.lang.Exception as the error to catch not Throwable. I don't know if this would make a difference or have anything to do with your problem.

Change your output type from PDF to HTML. Then it will give you clear error message in HTML page after fixing it if you able to see/run report fine in HTML then change your output type back to PDF.

I updated an iPod touch, an iPad 2, and an iPhone 4 to iOS 6, and all of them now will not connect to WiFi. They all give this wierd 404 error page from Apple and insist that I need to login to the network. What's the fix? None of the recommended fixes work in any of these devices. Reset device, reset network, renew lease, etc. None of them work.
Does the iPod work OK?
Does it charge when connect to the computer?
Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1

And offcourse that I delete my files and documents is not an Iweb problem, but because my English is not that good, that I thougt I try to tell the whole story, and hope people can read trough the lines.
Why I didn't use Iweb to upload to the server is because the server company recommanded to use file zilla. And I am a nobody with this kind of things, so I did exactly what they tell me to do.
No, i did not make a backup of Iweb and the domain file, but reading other messages on this forum showed me that I can maybe try to make empty the cashfile (?)
and otherwise I have bad luck and have to make my website again. Offcourse I have a lot of examples from all the pages (copied from the local map to my USB stick) and my website is aprox. 15 Mb, (not so big) so it will cost me a few nigths.
But I'm still hoping on a miracle :-)

In jsp page called main.jsp you should do request.setAttribute("pageName","main.jsp");
Then in error page you can get the name like
String pageInError = (String) request.getAttribute("pageName");

I have a manually created tabbed form with a collection.
I've added a validation and set the error message to display on the Error Page to preserve the information entered into the form.
One of the Select Lists is a cascading list. That list does not populate when returning from the Error Page. The parent list is populated and does show the value selected before the error was thrown. It's just the list that is based on the parent that isn't populated.
If I refresh the page the Select Lists are reset and I can access the values normally.
So, what I think I want to do (and I'm not sure here) is to refresh the page when returning from the Error Page.
How can I determine if I'm coming back from the Error Page?
Is there a better solution?
Please let me know if this isn't clear or there are questions.
