Hello
The problem: I was sending the wrong direction where should look the files in the FTP. The correct way to send is as follows:
My FTPService.wsdl
<binding name="Get_OpenBatch_binding" type="tns:Get_OpenBatch_ptt">
<pc:inbound_binding/>
<operation name="Get_OpenBatch">
<jca:operation FileType="ascii"

</operation>
</binding>
<service name="FTPOpenBatch_RegCob">

  • OSB error while generating business service for FTP adapter Sync Get File

    Hi All
    I am trying to generate a business service from SOA Suite JCA FTP adapter Sync Get File, but i am getting this exception for no reasons (Rest operations list file, get file and put file are working)
    Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: java.lang.NullPointerException     Unknown ALSB Conflict.
    Is this a bug in eclipse, can any body help me. Thanks
    Sorry Forgot to mention eclipse version...
    Eclipse Platform
    Version: 3.6.2
    Build id: M20110210-1200

    Ok,
    bcoz of this issue, i had to code the entire interface in OSB console. It runs fine in OSB console (i was able to test it successfully).
    Is this a bug in eclipse or only i am facing this issue? Has anybody tried to create a business service from JCA FTP Get Synchronous jca file?

    One more doubt? The PhysicalArchiveDirectory path can be on the FTP server something like: /MOMFiles/archive. Or do i have to use the Put operation to move it to /MOMFiles/archive directory. Currently OSB console and eclipse do not accept FTP path for this parameter and want me to specify a local directory on server. Thanks

  • In my SOA Composite, Can I use file/FTP adapter to get the EDI X12 850

    Our requirement is to build a SOA Composite to dump all the details in a EDI X12 850 ( Purchase order ) document in to a database table. In my SOA Composite, Can I use file/FTP adapter to get the EDI X12 850 element details to map them to a base base columns.

    Drop the File Adapter to the left lane of the composite i.e., Services lane...
    Go to Step 2, give a meaningful name....
    Step 3, select "define from operation and schema"
    Step 4, select the operation type as "read"
    Step 5, select physical path and give the folder path in the "Directory for incoming files" field.,
    Step 6, select wildcards and give the expression depending on the file name it would be at run time...
    Step 7, select the polling frequency as required....
    Step 8, in the URL field, adjacent to that , select "browse for schema file" and select the XSD which you have exported from B2B Editor.
    say next and finish, you will be good to go.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Need to Pass filename for archived file to FTP adapter using SynchRead

    Hi
    I am archiving the source file which i am reading using an FTP adapter, Operation- SynchRead.
    In my case as the source filename is dynamic( abc_<timestamp>.xml) hence before the SynchRead, I am using a FTP List adapter to get the filename.
    Currently,the archived file is getting name in pattern: encryptedToken_yyyymmdd_hhmmss.(e.g. wQ2c3w7Cj7Y6irWnRKqEu77_jD7kLtj6Uc0QCZIyjC4=_20121122_012453_0305)
    I need to pass the sourceFilename(which i am getting from FTPList adapter) for the archived file also.
    Thanks in advance for the help!
    Regards,
    Achal

    Hi Neeraj,
    While trying the above alternative, i am facing an issue when my source file is a .csv file. The file is getting recreated with the original filename and file content but without header.
    As per the requirement i need the original file to be recreated. The header of .csv file has the field names.
    Please let me know how should i configure my FTP adapter to read the header of the .csv file as well.
    Thanks,
    Achal

  • TimestampOffset in FTP Adapter activation agent properties

    Hi all,
    I am having an issue using the "timestampOffset" FTP Adapter activation agent property on an SOA Suite 10.1.3.4/MLR#9 (Linux) system.
    I have a BPEL process that is being launched via the FTP Adapter when a particular file appears on a remote SFTP server. I am polling for this file every 5 mins, and don't want to retrieve it unless it is at least 15 minutes old. The SFTP server from which I am retrieving this file is configured with a different timezone than the SOA Suite server on which the BPEL process is running; the SOA Suite server has a timezone of MST (GMT-7) and the SFTP server has a timezone of GMT. Here is the relevant section from the WSDL for this PartnerLink:
    <jca:operation
    FileType="binary"
    LogicalDirectory="TriggerDirectory"
    ActivationSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.inbound.FTPActivationSpec"
    DeleteFile="true"
    IncludeFiles="external_ids_trigger\.txt"
    PollingFrequency="300"
    MinimumAge="900"
    ModificationTimeFormatOld="43,54,MMM dd yyyy"
    FileModificationTime="DirListing"
    ModificationTimeFormat="43,54,MMM dd HH:mm"
    OpaqueSchema="true" >
    </jca:operation>
    I attempted to compensate for this by adding the "timestampOffset" property to the activation agent in bpel.xml (also included in the jdev_files.zip attachment); this is detailed in the document "Oracle Application Server Adapters for Files, FTP, Databases, and Enterprise Messaging User’s Guide 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.1.0) B28994-01". Here is the activationAgents section from the bpel.xml file:
    <activationAgents>
    <activationAgent className="oracle.tip.adapter.fw.agent.jca.JCAActivationAgent" partnerLink="PollForTriggerFile">
    <property name="TriggerDirectory" type="LogicalDirectory">/uazsa/uazsaprd/integration/output</property>
    <property name="portType">Get_ptt</property>
    <property name="timestampOffset">25200000</property>
    </activationAgent>
    </activationAgents>
    When deploying this BPEL project to the server, it shows the "timestampOffset" property for the JCA adapter in the log, as follows:
    <2010-01-17 11:23:39,619> <INFO> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <AdapterFramework::Inbound> JCAActivationAgent::initiateInboundJcaEndpoint - Creating and initializing inbound JCA endpoint for:
    process='bpel://localhost/default/External_System_ID_Sync~1.0/'
    domain='default'
    WSDL location='PollForTriggerFile.wsdl'
    portType='Get_ptt'
    operation='Get'
    activation properties={TriggerDirectory=/uazsa/uazsaprd/integration/output, timestampOffset=25200000, portType=Get_ptt}
    However, this setting appears to have no effect, as when the adapter polls for the file, it finds it, but does not process it. I have turned up logging on default.collaxa.cube.activation to DEBUG, and I see the following when it polls for the file:
    <2010-01-17 12:18:40,342> <DEBUG> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Opening sftp channel

    What needs to be done to have the timestampOffset property in bpel.xml honored by the activation agent? Any help is greatly appreciated! I have opened up an SR with Oracle on this as well, but sometimes the forums prove to be a quicker path to problem resolution. :)

    Thanks for the reply, Anirudh.
    Can you elaborate? The last part of section A.3.3. in the URL you posted is exactly what I did...I specified the "timestampOffset" property to the activation agent properties in bpel.xml. I specified the offset as the time difference (in milliseconds): 7 hrs = 7*60*60*1000 = 25200000. The value they provide in that example is puzzling: 2592000000 would be an offset of 720 hours! Maybe I'm misunderstanding something about this property?
    Thanks,

  • FTP Adapter to poll multiple files (different formats)

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to poll and process multiple files from a given FTP location(either process all or reject all - reject if there is any failure in one of the files).
    Using FTP Adapter's Get File operation(Schema Opaque), we are able to read three different file formats and can get the file name(Using header variable FileName).
    And we are hoping to process the file contents based on the File Name that we get from the above step.
    1) How do we convert the file contents from Opaque to specific Schema (ex: file1.csv, file2.csv and file3.csv with different formats)?
    2) As the requirement is to process all the files at the same time, Can we use correlation in the poller process to route to single controller process(One instance of Controller process for all the files)?
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks...

    Thanks a lot for the quick answers.
    I've used the Java embed to convert Base64 content to String. And using 'translateFromNative' extension, I could convert it to the desired XML content.
    But I still have trouble in polling and processing all the files(file1.csv, file2.csv and file3.csv) at the same time using a single controller process.
    My requirement is to process all the three files at the same time(for any failures I have to compensate any/all of inserted records).
    I tried using Pick(with different OnMessage branches), but as they are polling the same location I could see only one OnMessage branch is getting fired resulting in multiple instances.
    May be I didn't understand your suggestion correctly, could you please elaborate on the possibility of processing multiple files at the same time?
    Thanks

  • Need to send an email (after the FTP adapter does the transfer)

    I have a simple ESB project. It uses FTP adapter to pick a file and encrypt it (by using a webservice) and then transfers that
    file to a different server. As mentioned FTP (SFTP) adapter is used to do this.
    After the file is transfered ( by using the PUT mode of the FTP adapter) , i
    need to send an email to a given address telling about the succes of the file
    transfer. But the problem is I can not link or attach a router to FTP adapter
    in PUT Mode. A FTP adapter in Get mode comes with a Router but a FTP adapter
    with PUT mode does not come with a router. How can I attach a router (or a web
    service to a FTP adapter which is in PUT mode)
    Prakash

    I'm fairly certain you'll have to use BPEL to accomplish this. I'd put the FTP Adapter inside a BPEL process then you can drop the email activity in after the ftp operation.

  • FTP Adapter in SOA 11g

    Hi All,
    I am using a FTP adapter to get files from remote server. The FTP server has password authentication type security. In the connection factory I have given host, port, user name, password and sftp=true.  Is there any way to test this connection from Web Logic server itself? From SOA server logs I am not able to see any error but not able to retrieve the files so just want to make sure whether the connection is fine or not.

    Hi,
    Go to EM into SOA > soa-infra > Logs > Log Configuration, look for oracle.soa.adapter configuration under oracle.soa and set it to TRACE (FINE should be enough)...
    That should show something for you in the log files, hopefully you can figure out what it is wrong based on that...
    Cheers,
    Vlad

  • Error with Archiving Faulty Source File in Sender FTP adapter

    Hi All,
    I have configured a Sender FTP adapter with Processing Mode as Archive.
    I am able to read the files from FTP server and archive all the successfuly processed file in the PI aplication server directory XXX/success.
    We need all the error files also to be archived on PI application server in directory XXXXX/Fail so I have checked the option Archive faulty Source Files and provided the application directory  XXXXX/Fail .
    I have unchecked the option Archive Files on FTP server.
    But the problem is when FTP adapter is getting any error files it is not able to archive it to application directory  XXXXX/Fail .
    In RWB it is showing the error
    Unable to archive faulty input file /data/abc.txt to /XXXX/fail/abc.txt
    Cause: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 rename: No such file or directory
    This directory is existing and works fine when I give this directory name in Archive directory of processing mode.
    Sender FTP adapter is trying to archive the file in FTP server which I dont want and giving us this error.
    If I give any Directory which is present in FTP server my error files are getting archived on FTP server but not in the archived folder.
    I have already unchecked the option Archive Files on FTP server.
    Please help......
    I am on PI 7.11

    Henery H

    Hi Henery,
    Check the below thread, this should help you to fix the issue.

  • FTP adapter not activating on its own

    Hi all,
      I have set up a sender FTP adapter and whenever a file falls in there the process is not trigered automatically...Everytime we need activate our directory settings to send the file through FTP adapter...I am not able to figure out why the FTP ADAPTER cannot get activated once it receives a file..
    Any ideas...
    -Teresa

    Hi teresa
    What I can figure out is , I think you might not given the polling time , after certain time adapter needs to poll the file from source and excute it. add some value of polling say 60( 60 sec) . It will poll the file after every 60 sec and excute it. also make sure that mode should not be test otherwise it will excute it every time after polling time and u will have huge no of messages in XI.
    Hope this will help .
    regards

  • FTP Adapter on Unix

    Hi There,
    I created a new JNDI Location and configured corresponding connection Factories for the above FTP Adapter. In the connection Factories I entered my username and password and unix server host name. I set the the ftpAbsolutepath to my Home Directory on the server.
    I created a simple BPEL process which uses FTP Adapter to get a file and inserts into database as a BLOB. The FTP adapter is not polling and file is not getting deleted.
    Please Advise.
    Thanks
    Krishna

    Hi Antonis,
    Sorry for the confusion. It didn't pick up at all.
    I am using FTP as Service Component.
    As it is not polling, I initiated it manually from BPEL Console.
    Then it is inserting a record into the Database as a blob.
    I am not getting an error. I did not understand how it is inserting data into database when it is not getting the file at all.
    I then modified the above BPEL Process by adding one more DB Adapter and FTP Adapter. DB Adapter will read the blob and FTP Adapter will write the file back to the server in a different path.
    When I initiate this, I am getting the below error:
    Unable to send file to server
    ;nested exception is
    ORABPEL- 11429
    Error Sending File to FTP Server.
    In summary it seems that the process is not hitting the FTP Server.
    But as per connection factory setting, username and password is valid and have access to the server.
    Could there be any other reason.
    Thanks
    Krishna

  • To Get Dynamic filenames while using sync get FTP Adapter?

    Instead of looping and getting filenames after file listing...
    i am thinking to use flow N.instead of while loop after filelisting..
    i am able to find, different file names in the assign activity, before the invoke activity which is assigned to Sync get adapter.
    but the sync get adapter is getting same file names in all the parallel flows.
    i can see it can successfully transfer one file, but fails with rest of those.
    is there any possibility, to pass file names dynamically to the sync get adapter..

    I want to conform you again, i want to use FLOW N instead of while..
    In whileloop the logic works fine, but when it comes to FLOW N , its failing

  • 10.1.3.4 - FTP adapter error while file get

    I created an esb service that reads from a remote server and processes the file locally. It works fine in dev. When I migrated my esb flow to a test environment it is now throwing some error.
    <AdapterFramework::Inbound> Adapter Framework instance: OraESB - successfully completed endpointActivation for portType=Get_ptt, operation=Get
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Unable to list files from '/apps/EDI/Archive/OutBound/Customer' directory on 'corpapp10' server; FTP command[NLST] returned unexpected reply code : 550
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Poller raising Alert for exception : ORABPEL-11430
    Error in listing files in the remote directory.
    Unable to list file in remote directory.
    Check the error stack and fix the cause of the error. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable.
    The dev remote server and the test remote server are different. I have done the obvious checks about server name, permissions, directory names etc. I can login to the server using windows ftp however when I go the inbound directory and type in ls, i get the following error - 550 Arguments too long. I have some 37000 files in the directory. ls -l works fine.
    I switched the ftp adapter to poll a different directory which only has 1 file, but it still gives the same error. However in this case, the windows ftp is able to list the files using ls command.
    any idea how i can make this work ?

    i undeployed the esb project and deploying it again. Now even worse, nothing happens now. It has stopped polling at all. I just see the following message in the opmn.log, but none of the files get picked up.
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    <FTP Adapter::Inbound> Connection Created
    To be sure, I deployed it to another environment (DEV) and it works ok there.

  • Ftp Adapter Inbound operation not working

    Hi All,
    I'm running on SOA 11g on a Oracle Linux machine.
    FtpAdapter is configured and works well for outbound operations (my test composite can put a file on a ftp location).
    For inbound operation something is not working, my composite, a simple ftp adapter + bpel process, never start (no instances) .
    I'm able to get the file using an ftp client (tested from the soa server machine too).
    I just increased the server log and I can see the ftp communication but an exception is raised in socket operation after *FTP Adapter Project2 FTP Command: LIST, reply:[[*
