When I try to execute the following command on a reasonably fresh Oracle 11 installation:
insert into "XMLTEST" ( "name", "xmlfof" ) values ( 'small', DBMS_XDB.GETCONTENTXMLTYPE('/public/small.xml') );
-- The schema is correctly registered, the file "small.xml" is in the /public repository folder, the user has every conceivable role and priviledge
-- http access works fine from a remote location, tried to execute the command on the server and from remote system...
I get the following error message:
ORA-31020: Der Vorgang ist nicht zulässig, Ursache: For security reasons, ftp and http access over XDB repository is not allowed on server side ORA-06512: in "XDB.DBMS_XDB", Zeile 1915
Searching for an answer on the forum didn't produce any concreate explanation... Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

As it turns out, the XML file contained a reference to a DTD at an external web-site, which caused the problem - it was identical to that described here:

After removing the reference, everything works perfectly...

How to access the XDB-Repository through iAS

It is easy to access the XDB repository on a database server directly using http or ftp.
However, since our database server is behind a firewall we need to access the XDB repository through our Oracle Internet application server (iAS 9i) which is situated outside the firewall. Does anyone know how to do this? Any hint is greatly appreciated; unfortunately nobody answers to this question in the iAS forum.
We access a PSP-application on the database-server through the iAS-server using a DAD defined on the IAS-server. The XDB repository probably needs another access proceeding.
Our environement:
iAS 9.2 (Solaris)
Oracle 9.2.0.4 (Solaris)

Adobe builds all of these cool ideas, then doesnt test them.
The HTTPConnection object does not do POST at all. I have tried nearly every possibility. The documentation is either way off or the object just does not work. I can see the post in raw form and the POST variables are not coming across.
After working on this for a few hours i thought to myself, hey maybe i should just create a flash pane instead and load the files into it, then have the flash object upload. Well i ran into a big fat wall there too! As it is with patchpanel and bridge, these technologies only accept swf objects. This whole concept of using SWF and crossscripting has a huge flaw. The SWF file's security format does not allow for local file access for doing simple things like upload. If i can't synchronize file data to web based clouds, then i cant do much worth talking about.
I love these products and their possibilities but i have to have the ability to communicate with the world. HTTP is the way!
Also a side note, FTP is an insecure/inflexible solution and looks like a lot more time was spent on this aspect of the scriptable product.

See if either of these things works for you. In the future ... Only update one app at a time. Forget that the Update All button even exists. It causes more problems than it does good - IMO.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.

In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi.

If you cannot close the Pen Tool by switching to another tool, as a temporary measure you may try pressing P (for Pen).
To solve it, you may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

If you have anti virus software installed, try disabling that and try turning off the Firewall.

Separate Tomcat http and https access

I got tomcat running both http and https.
However, http://localhost:8080 and https://localhost:8433 are accessing the same page.
I need to separate them, to prevent from entering data using http://localhost:8080 by mistake.
Please help.

stop tomcat listening on all ports except https port

configure your webapp to only allow https access

I can not telnet the AP1242 and I can not use its web GUI. I do not find the commands to enable Telnet and HTTP (such as "config network telnet / webmode" of the WLC2006). Does anybody provide them.

Hi, i belive there is a mistake, since the LWAPP only should work with a wireless lan controller.

When the LWAPP turns on it locates the WLC by an arp request, and the controller set's up all the configuration on the AP. You can not configure a LWAPP true TELNET or HTTP.
If you only need an AP you should practice a downgrade on your AP to make it work as an autonomous AP.

Subquery over a subquery is not allowed?

I am trying to create subquery over another sheet which is a subquery itself, but it seems it is not allowed.
I have the original sheet S1(A,B,C) with the items A,B,C. I create a new sheet S2(A,B,C,D) and I add an item D with the condition that the value of D is equal to the value of the item B of the original, so I create the following condition with a subquery, S2.D=S1.B. Until here everything goes fine.
Then I want to create a new sheet S3(A,B,C,D) with the condition S3.D=S2.D. The problem is that the sheet S2 does not appear in the dialog where I should select the subquery sheet. Only the S1 appears.
Is there anything I can do about it?

Try creating the report in one go...
Instead of creating a subquery, and then a subquery using that subquery, and finally a "master" query, create the "master" query first, and within the conditions, create your subquery as you go along.
I'm not sure whether this would work, as I don't currently have access to Discoverer!
Alternatively, subqueries are rarely the most efficient way of processing information, so consider writing a PL/SQL function to do some of the work for you.

My spec:

Apex Listener
Apache Tomcat
Firefox 3.6.23
I use apex one year and i had no problem with it.
I changed nothing :(
Where should be the problem ?
I tried to restart the database and reconfigure Apex listener.
I do not know, if this is the right forum section. (maybe it should be in the Listener forum ?)

EDIT: Redeploy of the apex.war solved this problem

The APEX application after the patch was applied on OAS was raising Error (Getting Http-400 Bad Name In The Request: Not A Legal Plsql Identifier ).
Implemented metalink Doc ID 1327343.1 to resolve this error.
Created a new procedure without parameters which calls the original procedure using parameters. Changed the DAD.conf to reflect the new Procedure
for the variable PlsqlDefaultPage instead of the format PlsqlDefaultPage f?p=AppID:PageID.
Apparently, there is this custom login screen which is called On-Load before Header on the Default Page 71 like this. And instead of rendering page 71 gives out the error.

HTTP server code 405 reason Method Not Allowed exception

I get a 405 method not allowed exception in synchronous http receiver. However I have verified that a http post is expected by the receiver system.
Is there anythin else I could check or what could cause the error?

what is the receiving system? Usually, you get this error when you try to do POST on static page. In the HTTP header of response you should get the list of allowed methods. You can try to check this list. I would contact an administrator of that system if he can check logs for errors.

Tinkpad W530 w. 32GB SSD and 5hhGB HHD. Factory setup does not allow installation on SSD

Today I've received a brand new W530 with 32 GB SSD and 500GB HHD from lenovo. I started to setup the system using the factory setup.... but I was not able to chose the disk to install the system. It only allows to install Win 7 Pro 64 Bit on HHD.
Also the Boot/Recovery Media Disk do not allow to select the disk (drop down list disabled).....
How to get the system onto the SSD instead of HHD?
Having the Win7 on the SSD was the motivation to buy the bundle from lenovo - expecting that the factory setup is ready supporting the SSD..........
Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.
