  • SOA 11g- Error handling of Asynchronous composites

    Hi,
    We are working on Error Handling framework design for both synchronous, asynchrounous composites of SOA 11g.
    Any pointers on the same will be helpfull as how to capture errors occuring during asynchronous services calls.
    Thanks,
    Sowmya

    Thanks Naresh.
    Can you help me if the below is possbile.
    I have a process which takes an input and splits the inputs into multiple requests to some external system in a flow-N activity. There is an invoke activity with-in the flow N activity. And this invoke is an asynchrnous call. If at runtime we have 5 flows for flow-N, with 5 calls to external system, and out of these 4 are successful and one errors out. Can we have an error handler to just resubmit the failed request to the external system. Once we get the response from the resubmission, we want to continue with merging the output of all 5 and sending it back.
    Also, let me know if there will be any issue with the call back operation due to resubmission of the invoke. This is an asynchronous invoke with call back mechanism for response.
    Thank you so much.

  • Soa 11g - error calling SAP adapter

    Hello
    I'm installing a SAP adapter on SOA suite 11g following this tutorial http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/doc.1111/e17057/bpel_pm.htm#CHDIDHHI
    Using Application Explorer i can connect to SAP server , test services and export wsdls, but when I use this wsdls (Inbound JCA Service) in a simple composite application a got this error :
    Error during deployment: Deployment Failed: [JCABinding] [OlaMundoSAP.Service1/1.0]Unable to complete load due
    Cause: Unable to find suitable outbound binding.
    My composite is very simple, only one Bpel calling a third party adapter, error occurs in deploy time.
    Any suggest guys ?

    Helder,
    in case you still phase this problem, please have a look at the following note and check the prerequisite patches to apply SOA composites:
    Oracle Fusion Middleware Application Adapter Best Practices Guide for Oracle WebLogic Server 11g (Doc ID 1080041.1)
    Patch 9563280 should solve your problem.

    This is issue with File and Ftp Adapters in the soa installation 11.1.1.2. These adapters not able to recycle the dead connections in the connection pool. Process are receiving the dead connections from the pool. Oracle provided the patch for it. In the patch ftp adapter is throwing out the dead connection pool instead of keeping them.

  • FTP Adapter XML file with Attachments in SOA 11g.

    Hi All,
    I have a unique requirements where I need to generate an XML file and write it to an FTP server through SOA 11g. The content of this XML File may contain attachments like agreement copies, terms and conditions (files in *.pdf format). Now sometimes I need to add these pdfs as attachments and include them in the XML file and write them to FTP Server from SOA 11g.
    Has anyone ever encountered such a scenario. Can you throw light on how this could be achieved.
    Thanks,
    Venkat

    I am not entirely sure by what do you mean by "including attachments inside the XML" ?
    Do you want to say that XML might contain the contents of the attachment, something like this -
    <XML_Body>
    <Attachment>content in cleartext</Attachment>
    </XML_Body>
    Or should it contain pointers like "href" inside the XML ?

  • BINDING.JCA-12510 JCA Resource Adapter location error in SOA 11g Suite

    Hi,
    I am just testing one simple SOA Application in SOA 11g Suite. Created a SOA Composite Application with one DB Adapter at designtime all worked fine with DB Adapter. But when I deploy the Application on the server I get the following error:
    The JCA Binding Component was unable to establish an outbound JCA CCI connection due to the following issue: BINDING.JCA-12510 JCA Resource Adapter location error. Unable to locate the JCA Resource Adapter via .jca binding file element <connection-factory/> The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/DB/soademoDatabase'. The reason for this is most likely that either 1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or 2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/DB/soademoDatabase. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR). Please correct this and then restart the Application Server ".Do I need to jndi-name in weblogic-ra.xml if so what is the exact location. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    I did but still not able to connect now getting the following error. I went to the Weblogic Console, clicked on deployments, selected DBAdapter, clicked on configuration ,
    and then I don't see outbound configurations instead it shows Outbound Connection Pools, Under Outbound Connection Pools tab I clicked on New and it asked to select Outbound Connection Group I selected the one that was already there (with JNDI eis/DB/SOADemo) and then created my JNDI which was added to the default Outbound Connection Group and in the end it asked to save the Plan.xml which I saved it under a new directory created under soa directory. But still am not able to connect.
    How do I create my own Connection Group as don't want to use the defualt one out there.
    After creating the JNDI Name it asks for saving the Plan.xml file. Where exactly we save this file. Are there any standards.
    Why can't I update any properties when I click on the new JNDI name it takes to Settings for javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory --> Outbound Connection Properties but there I see a save buttn but I can't make any changes.
    BINDING.JCA-12563 Exception occured when binding was invoked. You may have set a property (in _db.jca) which requires another property to be set also. Make sure the property is set in the interaction (activation) spec by editing its definition in _db.jca. . ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution. Is there any documentation that lists all these steps as I couldn't find it anywhere. The guide only talks abou DBAdapter but how to configure etc can't find any info. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    I downloaded SOA 11g samples from Oracle. When I open any of the SOA project in jdev and double-click any service in the left-right swimlane, I am getting following error:
    Error while reading wsdl file

    I dont see anything unusual with the WSDL file. Besides it's created/provided by Oracle. I am attaching code of one of the WSDL:

    SOA Experts, any advise/suggestion in this regard is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Thanks for response, Anuj!
    I checked the WSDL file in jdev. The 1st line is as follows:

  • Can Scheduler be used in ORACLE SOA to trigger FTP Adapter read operation

    I need to create an ESB project where scheduler should trigger the File/FTP Adapter read operation.
    Where can I provide the time settings viz. (xx HR: yy MM: zz SS everyday)?
    Is it possible in Oracle SOA?

  • Need Help-SOA 11g File Adapter unable to delete input file and its crashing

    Hi All
    Please find the details below:
    1. We have created a simple SOA composite to Read file from an input directory, archive the file in an archive directory using Inbound File Adapter Read
    and then use Outbound File Adapter Write to move the file to a output directory.
    2. File Adapter needs to delete the file after successful read/retrieval.
    3. We are using the "Use Trigger File" for invoking the file adapter. This is a new feature in SOA 11g
    4. Also we are using the option of reading the file as an attachment as we are not doing any transformation in the composite
    Issue Details_
    1. When the trigger file is put in the input directory for the first time, the File Adapter reads the file, archives it and moves it to the output directory
    2. However it does not delete the input file from the input directory and raises Fatal Exception mentioned below:

    Hi,
    Using the file adapter, you can poll from multilple locations...
    Keep the following property in your .jca file
    <property name="DirectorySeparator" value="," />
    While giving the path in File Adapter configuration, keep comma and give the next location....then the file will be picked up from the locations you gave....
    Hope this helps...

  • Org.xml.sax.SAXParseException during deploying project in SOA 11G

    Hello,
    I was migrating a project from SOA 10G to SOA 11G (11.1.1.3). I had to make a few changes in the project such as:
    1) Put concrete wsdl's
    2) Put "<bpelx:exec import="oracle.soa.common.util.Base64Decoder"/>" in the bpel file
    3) Change the database adapters to have "toplink" as the persistence provider as when I migrated the file , it changed it to Eclipse
    4) Fill in the port and location in the reference portion of the composite.xml
    At the end of all these changes , my project compiled properly , but when I tried to deploy it , I am getting this error:
    [09:57:27 AM] Error deploying archive sca_MIA_ModuleInvToGP_rev1.0.jar to partition "default" on server soa_server1 [sv-soafm-dev1.infinera.com:8001]

    I am unable to know where this particular error is coming from , and do not know how to resolve this. Does any one have any idea on what could be the possible reason for this?
    Seems to be a problem with some XML file , but I dont know which file to check.
    Any help is welcome.
    Thanks

    In the session.xml schema it is a choice between driver-class/url and datasource, so you need to remove the driver-class tag as you are using a datasource.
    <driver-class>oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver</driver-class>
    <datasource>jdbc/AlfaDS</datasource>
    replalce with,
    <datasource>jdbc/AlfaDS</datasource>

  • Request-Reply in JMSAdapter SOA 11g using a Topic and a Queue

    Hi All
    We are trying to implement JMS Request\Reply with Tibco EMS Server using JMS Request\Reply. Problem is that Tibco has exposed a topic (where request message has been enqueued) and replies the message is a pre defined JMS queue.
    I am trying to use JMS adapter in SOA 11g (OSB doesnt support request\reply as soon as destination is selected as Topic ) with foreign JMS server setup in weblogic.
    Problem is that when i invoke the composite, it errors out saying that request destination has to be a queue. I tried to find any sample that talks about request-reply with topics but could not find any.
    Is request-reply pattern supported with topics or topic-queue combinations in JMS adapter 11g? Please let u know. Thanks

    Hi All
    The request-reply pattern is working with queues and topics, but not with topic and queue. The issue is with this:
    <adapter-config name="RemoteOSBJMSService" adapter="JMS Adapter"
    wsdlLocation="RemoteOSBJMSService.wsdl"
    xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
    <connection-factory location="eis/JMS/RequestReplyTopic"
    UIJmsProvider="WLSJMS" UiOperationMode="Asynchronous"
    UIConnectionName="chdsez147855d"/>
    <endpoint-activation portType="Reply_ptt" operation="Reply"
    UITransmissionPrimitive="Request-response">
    <activation-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.jms.inbound.JmsConsumeActivationSpec">
    <property name="PayloadType" value="TextMessage"/>
    <property name="UseMessageListener" value="false"/>
    <property name="DestinationName" value="jms.soa.local.response.q"/>
    </activation-spec>
    </endpoint-activation>
    <endpoint-interaction portType="Request_ptt" operation="Request"
    UITransmissionPrimitive="Request-response">
    <interaction-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.jms.outbound.JmsProduceInteractionSpec">
    <property name="TimeToLive" value="0"/>
    <property name="PayloadType" value="TextMessage"/>
    <property name="DeliveryMode" value="Persistent"/>
    <property name="DestinationName" value="jms.soa.local.request.topic"/>
    </interaction-spec>
    </endpoint-interaction>
    </adapter-config>
    The connection factory "eis/JMS/RequestReplyTopic" can either hold isTopic as false or true. If i set it to false, it doesnt even let me enqueue and if i set it to true. The reply doesnt arrive.
    Please help!

  • Business Rules (SOA 11g)

    We are facing one issue while implementing an use-case in Business Rules (SOA 11g). In brief it is defined as below:
    There is an aggregate function used to calculate the sum of all nodes and based on the result, we need to send notifications.
    In the Rule Set of a Business Rule project, we have created one Decision table and have defined our Rule conditions there (say Price > 500 and Price < 500).
    Above these conditions, we have defined aggregate function ( under advanced category), where we will calculate the sum of all Price nodes in a variable.
    And finally, we have Actions set for both the Rule Conditions, whereas notifications will be sent to the desired user.
    While executing this project, we are getting the below mentioned error:
    Non Recoverable Business Fault :encountered ')' when expecting one of: "instanceof" ...":" ...">" ..."<" ..."?" ..."==" ..."<=" ...">=" "!="
    ..."||" ..."&&" ..."+" ..."-" ..."*" ..."/" ..."%" ..."**" ..."++" ..."--" ..."[" ..."." ..."(" ...
    Note: There is a check-box above each action item, where we can select whether we want to execute this action or not. Now when we select only one out of these Actions ( say 1st one), and other one is unchecked and we execute the project by giving input according to 1st Rule condition, the project runs successfully. But when both the Action Items are checked, it fails.
    If anybody has faced the similar issue, please revert.

    I would advice you to make use a debug-function to be able to run locally in JDeveloper.
    Then try to make the easiest case possible work, and then thange to what you really want.
    Whaty type is the input to the rule, is it a complex type ?
    Are you running from BPEL ?
