Full Column Name in CC&B

Hi,
In Application Viewer of CC&B, there are column name and full collumn name (ex. ACTGDT_FRZ_OPT_FLG (Accounting Date Freeze Option) ). Is anyone know how to extract the full name of the columns in CC&B using query? Thanks.

Have a look at the following tables: CI_MD_TBL_FLD and CI_MD_TBL_FLD_L
Should not be too hard to write some SQL based on these tables.

    Hi,
    How to display full column name?
    there are n no of tables, i have to query the tables but i want the column name to be displayed fully. for example

    Name Null? Type
    CODE NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255)
    LOAD_PERIOD_START_DATETIME DATE
    SQL> select code,load_period_start_datetime from control;

    if there are n no of coumns from n no tables then how do i get the full column name?
    Please help me.
    Thanks

  • Create Date Column out of Full Month Name and Year

    I am trying to use Power Query to create a new column of data as a Date.  My data contains two columns: Month as the full text name and Year, for purposes of this example, I will set all days to the 15th.  In Excel, I would simply use a formula
    to convert the text month to the proper date part.
    Example:  [Month] = "January" and [Year] = 2013
    DATEVALUE([Month]&" 15, "&[Year])
    What is the syntax to Add a Column in Power Query with this conversion?
    Thanks, Barbara

    For an existing table in the editor with columns Month and Year, click "Insert Custom Column" and use this as the formula:
    = Date.FromText([Month] & " 15," & Number.ToText([Year]))
    This will create a formula which looks something like this:
        InsertedCustom = Table.AddColumn(Source, "Custom", each Date.FromText([Month] & " 15," & Number.ToText([Year])))
    Note that one difference between Excel and Power Query is that Excel will let you concatenate text and numbers with "&" but Power Query requires that you first convert the number to text.

  • Searching for missing column names in a single database.

    I have a database with about 100 tables, database gets generated using entity framework. The application has been enhanced  so users deployed with older version of the application need to upgrade to newer version. The database generated is both versions
    is same name.
    Now, the older version is missing some tables and column names that are in new database.
    Is there a script that can search for missing fields in a single database as described in this situation?
    Below is my script. Basically, nameofdatabase would the database generated and that already existing. If you install the application and database already exits no new database will be created.
    SELECT * FROM (Select TABLE_CATALOG, Table_name,COLUMN_NAME FROM nameofdatabase.INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS) a FULL OUTER JOIN (SELECT TABLE_CATALOG, Table_name,COLUMN_NAME FROM nameofdatabase.INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS) b ON b.COLUMN_NAME=a.COLUMN_NAME and
    a.TABLE_NAME=b.TABLE_NAME WHERE b.COLUMN_NAME is null or a.COLUMN_NAME is null ;

  • How to find column names in a table

    Am learning the basics of SQL Plus.
    Have entered the following query:
    SELECT * FROM t_ebb_session;
    This gives me the following output.
    USER_ID SESSION_ID LAST_ACCE
    However LAST_ACCE is not the full name of the column as I get 'Invalid column name when I use it in a select statement.
    How do I display the full name?

    By default, SQL*Plus will set the column display width of a character column to its size in the database, and the heading will be the column name in uppercase, truncated to fit that width if necessary. (There is a different rule for numeric columns.)
    You can override this with the COLUMN command, e.g:
    COLUMN some_column_name FORMAT a30 HEADING "Alternative Name"
    Check out the SQL*Plus documentation for all the COLUMN options.

  • Can I create a view based on two tables that have the same column name?

    I have two tables A and B. Each table has 50+ columns.
    I want to create a view that includes all the columns in A and all the columns in B. I created a view with a select statement that says
    Select A.*, B.*
    From A, B
    where A.id = B.id
    It returns an error because in each table I have a column that keeps track if a record has been changed called Modified_By. That's where it chokes up on I figure. I would like to write the view without explicitly writing each column name from A and B as part of the select statement. The actual select statement works fine and only bombs when trying to turn the select statement into a view.

    You will have to type the full column list at least once. You can save a few keystrokes (i.e. alias. on every column) by providing the column names to the CREATE part instead of in the SELECT part. Something like:
    SQL> desc t
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    ID                                                 NUMBER
    NAME                                               VARCHAR2(10)
    SQL> desc t1
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    T_ID                                               NUMBER
    LOC_ID                                             NUMBER
    NAME                                               VARCHAR2(15)
    SQL> CREATE VIEW t_v (id, t_name, t_id, loc_id, t1_name) AS
      2  SELECT t.*, t1.*
      3  FROM t, t1
      4  WHERE t.id = t1.t_id;
    View created.HTH

  • Getting the local full path name of a file from an item File Browser

    Hi all,
    I would like to get the local full path name, of a file selected from an item 'File browser'.
    I see in wwv_flow_files the column 'name', but actually it's a kind of id like 'F1542335/myFile.gif' for example.
    What i want is the local path of this file ("C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\....\myFile.gif").
    I hope this is possible??
    Anyway, thanks all for reading.
    Ludo

    Hello, thank you for the answer.
    Please understand that I searched before posting, and not ony 15 min.
    What i mean is that the value of a File Browser in an Apex applocation is something like 'F1542335/myFile.gif', but what I need is the local path location.
    And 'F1542335/' is not the local path location, i can't use it. Or maybe there is a way to convert it in a proper path name, such as "C:\Documents and Settings\....", but I don't think so.
    So my question is : how to get the local path name of a file in Apex?
    I'll answer if I find some good things.
    Thanks
    Ludo

  • How to change column names in dimension and cube views?

    whenever AWM creates a view on a dimension or cube, it creates columns for long and short description with full name
    forexanmpel, it creates like
    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW OLAPTRAIN.CHANNEL_VIEW
    AS
    SELECT
    "DIM_KEY",
    "LEVEL_NAME",
    "MEMBER_TYPE",
    "DIM_ORDER",
    "LONG_DESCRIPTION",
    "SHORT_DESCRIPTION",
    "ALL_CHANNELS_LONG_DESCRI",
    "ALL_CHANNELS_SHORT_DESCR",
    "CLASS_LONG_DESCRIPTION",
    "CLASS_SHORT_DESCRIPTION",
    "CHANNEL_LONG_DESCRIPTION",

    "CHANNEL_ALL_CHANNELS_ID",
    "CHANNEL_CLASS_ID",
    "CHANNEL_CHANNEL_ID"
    FROM TABLE(CUBE_TABLE('"OLAPTRAIN"."CHANNEL"') );
    what is the way to customize the column name? for example for class level, how can we say insterad of long_description and short_description, use LONG and SHORT simply?
    i also see the size of long and short descriptions are set to varchar2(60) and varchar2(20), is there a way to change that for each level in AWM?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
    I don't think there is a way to control the column names within the OLAP product itself, but if this is something you really want to do, have you tried creating your own views?
    As you can see, the syntax is pretty simple

    As stated by Ken, the Organizer does not consider duplicate file names as duplicate files : the full path with folder hierarchy is taken into account. I have the same situation than you with my camera limited to 10 000 ... I am working with this fact since 1999, and I have no organization problem with that. Absolutely no necessity to rename in my case, but you may have other requirements ?
    If so, it's good to know that you can use the downloader to rename at the import stage (hence the questions of Ken about the way you import).
    You mentionned batch renaming : that can only be made from within the organizer, and I would seriously recommend thinking twice before deciding to do so, a full backup before that being a must.

    Do you want only the column names that appear in one table or the other, but not in both?
    In that case, you can add a condition like this to the WHERE clause:
    AND       (   s1.column_name  IS NULL
           OR  s2.column_name  IS NULL
           )

  • SQL Message 207, Severity 16 - Invalid Column Name

    The Config Manager 2012 system seems to be very sick with SQL Message 207, Severity 16 - Invalid Column Name messages in the Management Point logs.  The column is populated by NULL values.  The error message in the logs suggests I refer to the
    Config Man, SQL, or Knowledge Base for further details.  I've looked around but I'm not really sure if this is a "repairable" problem.  Has anyone seen this before and can point me in the direction to a solution?  The server is a standalone
    Primary.

    Hi Niall and Torsten,
    Installed in September of last year.  Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, SQL 2008 R2 SP2 (10.50.4000).
    The text from the log reads:
    Microsoft SQL Server reported SQL message 207, severity 16: [42S22][207][Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Invalid column name 'Distinguished_Name0'.
    Please refer to your Configuration Manager documentation, SQL Server documentation, or the Microsoft Knowledge Base for further troubleshooting information.
    Followed by:
    Discovery Data Manager failed to process the discovery data record (DDR) "D:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\auth\ddm.box\adsu9110.DDR", because it cannot update the data source.
    Possible cause: On a Primary site, it is probably a SQL Server problem.
    Solution:
    1. Review the immediately preceding status messages from this component about SQL Server errors.
    2. Verify that this computer can reach the SQL Server computer.
    3. Verify that SQL Server services are running.
    4. Verify that the site can access the site database.
    5. Verify that the site database, transaction log, and tempdb are not full.
    6. Verify that there are at least 50 SQL Server user connections, plus 5 for each Configuration Manager Console.
    If the problem persists, check the SQL Server error logs.
    Possible cause: On a secondary site, Discovery Data Manager probably cannot write to a file on the site server, so check for low disk space on the site server.
    Solution: Make more space available on the site server.
    As far as I can tell the services are running, there is no disk space issue, the server can access the database, not sure about the logs or the connections.

  • How to rename C00n generic column names in a Dynamic SQL report

    I have a an interface whereby the user can select 1 to 60 (upper limit) columns out of 90 possible columns (using a shuttle) from one table before running a report.
    To construct the SQL that will eventually execute, I'm using a "PLSQL function body returning SQL query" with dynamic SQL. The only problem is that I have to use "Generic Column Names" option to be able to compile the code and end up with c001 to c060 as the column names.
    How can I use the names of the selected columns as the report headings rather than c001, C002... etc?
    I do not know beforehand which columns, or how many columns or the order of the selected columns.
    I know Denes K has a demo called Pick Columns but I can't access his code. I have a hunch though that he may be just using conditions to hide/show the apropriate columns.
    thanks in advance
    PaulP

    Hi Paul
    I would change the Heading Type in the Report Details screen to PLSQL and use the shuttle item to return the column values. e.g.
    RETURN :p1_shuttle;
    I'm assuming the shuttle already has a colon separated list of the column headings in the correct order?
    I hope that helps
    Shunt

  • Reading MS Project column names and data on the fly from a selected View

    Hi guys,
    I have several views on my project file (MSPROJECT 2010) and I want to build a macro so that;
    1. User can select any view ( Views can have diffrent columns and the user may add new columns as well)
    2. User runs the Macro and all the coulmns along with the tasks displayed in the view will be written to a excel file. ( I don't want to build several macro's for each view, I'm thinking of a common method which would work for any selected view)
    The problem I'm facing is that how will i read the column names and data for a particular view on the fly without hard coding them inside the vba code ?
    The solution needs to work on a master schedule as well.
    Appreciate your feedback.

    Just to get you started the following code writes the field name and data for the active task to the Immediate window.
    Sub CopyData()
    Dim fld As TableField
    For Each fld In ActiveProject.TaskTables(ActiveProject.CurrentTable).TableFields
    If fld.Field >= 0 Then
    Debug.Print Application.FieldConstantToFieldName(fld.Field), ActiveCell.Task.GetField(fld.Field)
