Invalid Column name during export

When a FULL or USER level export is taken after the export is completed the following error appears.
ORA-00904 Invalid Column name
When I take table level export it complets successfully.
I had run catalog.sql, catproc.sql and catexp.sql.

Hi,
I normaly get this error when using an export utility that has different version from the DB, normally when using an export utility of a version above the DB version.
I hope this will be useful for You.

  • BPC - "Error occurs during UpdateRemainData. Invalid column name formula4

    Hi All,
    After creating a new dimension, I am trying to add members in it.
    I am not sure why, but first I got message to include FORMULAH1 and FORMULAH2 as properties to the dimesion. I added those two properties although I do not have any formula for my Dim members.
    When I try to process the dimension, I get the error message,
    "Error occurs during UpdateRemainData. Invalid column name 'formula4'."
    Can anybody throw some light as to why I might be getting this message and how to fix it.
    I do not have any column named 'formula4'.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
       You have to have only one property named Formula into the dimension. The formulah1, formulah2, ... should be added corresponding with the number of hierarchies defind in your dimension.
      To have an idea more clear, just look to the AcountL on ApShel, which has 3 hierarchies and 3 formulas, but only one FORMULA property.

    Running the synchronization process for the first time on this DB and it seems that I can't sort this problem alone.
    It would be of great assistance if someone could help me on this one. Thanks in advance.

    Well I've double checked and the WebTools version is 626 (files versions 626 also) but It was a previous upgrade from 624 so what I did was Backup and uninstall everything, manually delete folders, DB, site, etc. then Install all over again with version 626 from scratch and it worked perfect!
    So problem solved. Thanks Shane!

  • Invalid column name error

    Having an interesting problem with a site I'm fixing. I'm
    sure I'm looking past the obvious, so maybe some of you can help:
    ASP Pages display results from recordset based on a session
    variable (memberID) that is created during user login.
    Recordset looks like this:
    <%
    Dim rs__MMColParam
    rs__MMColParam = "%"
    If (Session("memberID") <> "") Then
    rs__MMColParam = Session("memberID")
    End If
    %>
    <%
    set rs = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
    rs.ActiveConnection = MM_cnConnection_STRING
    rs.Source = "SELECT id, adminusername, anotherone1,
    anotherone2, anotherone3 FROM dbo.basic1 WHERE adminusername = '" +
    Replace(rs__MMColParam, "'", "''") + "'"
    rs.CursorType = 0
    rs.CursorLocation = 2
    rs.LockType = 3
    rs.Open()
    rs_numRows = 0
    %>
    Seems correct to me, unles I'm overlooking something obvious.
    Unfortunately I keep getting the following error:
    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

    (Note: in this error above, SESSIONVAR is the name of the
    session variable memberID)
    Strange thing is, as long as the session variable is a #,
    everything works. If it's a word, it won't work. So it appears the
    session variables are being defined and passed to the next page.
    As for the database, it's a SQL Database
    column 'adminusername' is a NVARCHAR with a 4000 char limit
    Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Invalid column name exception

    I am receiving an Invalid column name SQLException. I initially
    thought it was a problem with the computed fields, but was after
    making the usual changes to the model implementation the exception is
    still occurring. I can run the SQL statement in SQLplus and get no
    errors and the three results I'm expecting (grabbing the SQL statement
    from the model's beforeExecute event). The mystifying part is that it
    returns one of the three rows that I'm expecting. That is, the model
    executes and the result set is partially filled. The model is Select
    only. The computed fields are concatenated strings. After logging the
    exception I call getNumRows() on the model and receive a 1 back. The
    computed fields are returned in that one record. Any ideas about what
    to try or where to look next?
    Thanks,
    paul

    Kostas,
    Thanks for your help. During migration a QueryFieldDescriptor was
    created for a field that is only used in the where clause. I'm
    assuming it then couldn't be mapped back to the ResultSet, and this
    caused the Invalid Column Name exception. That is, I am selecting 5
    fields, but had 6 QueryFieldDescriptors.

    Hi Paul,
    It would appear you have a column name mismatch between what isdefines in
    your modelImpl
    and what is being returned by the JDBC driver.
    From the SQL you sent, the Column Names would be something like:
    'SURVEYGROUP_XREF',SURVEY_ID', CF_SURVEYANDGROUP', 'CF_SURVEYGROUP',
    'RESULTS_VIEWER_ID'
    Do all your column names definitions in your modelImpl match up tothese ?
    >
    eg public static final StringCOLUMN_WIS_SURVEYANDGROUP="CF_SURVEYANDGROUP";

    Note: the qualified column vairables (QUALIFIED_COLUMN_XXXXXX) doNOT get
    used for Select queries.
    If it still unclear where the mismatch is occurring, you can addsome simple
    debugging :
    To tell you what you are trying to access add the the following in
    ResultSetModelBase just before the
    exception occurred:
    System.out.println("UPDATE_MODEL: Attempting to Access Column Name:
    "+fd.getColumnName());
    Object value=resultSet.getObject(fd.getColumnName());
    If still need more information,you can look at the column namesreturned by
    the JDBC calls by doing something like:
    ResultSetMetaData metaData = resultSet.getMetaData();
    int columnCount = metaData.getColumnCount();
    for(int i = 0; i < columnCount ; i++)
    System.out.println("Colummn["+i+"]"+
    metaData.getColumnName(i+1));
    Hope that helps.

  • Error ora-604 ora-904 invalid column name

    Someone knows how to fix this problem?
    Error ora-604 ora-904 invalid column name.

    Asif, to add another question to the list of things to check. Is the version of the exp utility you are using to perform the export operation the same version as the database? If not, that would explain the error.
    If you are trying to export using a newer version of the export utility that generally will not work. You should switch to using the db version.
    If you are exporting using an older version because the target is an older version then usually you need to run the catexp# where # is the version number script for the target version that Oracle provides in the $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin directory.

  • Adding dim property -  Error processing (Invalid column name)

    BPC 5.1 SP3
    I'm trying to add FormulaH1 and FormulaH2 properties to a user-defined dim containing two hierarchies. Properties are added and processed without any issues. However, when I subsequently try to process the member sheet, which has two new columns ("FormulaH1" and "FormulaH2"), I receive this error:
      - Error occurs during UpdateRemainData. Invalid column name 'formula13'.
    Column 13 in the member sheet contains the new "FormulaH2" property. (Column 12 has the "FormulaH1" property).
    Any ideas what might be causing this error? I do see the new columns added to the mbr table. I've tried changing the property lengths and "In App" settings---get the same error when processing the member sheet.
    Are there issues with added Formula properties to a user-def dim? Or, is there something else going on here?

    Answered my own question....
    I only need to add one property called "Formula". BPC will then add the H1 and H2 "property" columns in the member sheet.

  • Invalid column name 'formula6'.

    This error occurs when i attempt to process the dimension.   "- Error occurs during UpdateRemainData. Invalid column name 'formula6'."
    When I uncheck the InApp  FORMULAH1 and FORMULAH2 properties it process without error. When I have them as InApp, i get the error.
    Any ideas why this happens?
    thanks,
    Agnes

    To add to Sorin's explanation -- the ParentH1, ParentH2, FormulaH1, FormulaH2 properties are controlled by the system -- you must add these columns to the member sheet, and you must NOT add them manually as properties.
    It's never been clear to me exactly why it works this way, but that's how it works. There are a few other system-controlled properties (EvDescription, Calc, IsBaseMem, HIR, DimCalc are some, plus others that may vary by dimension type, such as TimeID) which are created as columns in the member table, but which don't need to be in the member sheet.
    Also note, if you only have one hierarchy ParentH1 (but no ParentH2), then you should use Formula (not FormulaH1). If you have 2 hierarchies, then use FormulaH1 and FormulaH2. At least, that's been my experience on BPC 5.0 and 5.1. Things may have changed slightly on BPC 7 M, and I'd bet that this has changed in even greater ways on BPC 7 NW.

    We have changed default thin driver to 920 from 817 in 610sp4. If you are using 817/901 dbserver, please put 817/901 classes12.zip in your
    classpath before weblogic.jar and you will be ok.

    We have been using WLS 6.1 sp2 with toplink and never had any problems. Recently

    For select queries there is no error. The SQL generated by toplink is -
    UPDATE PR_SUPP SET CNTC_PRSN_NAME = ''
    , REMK = 'Remark 123', LAST_CHNG_DTTM = {ts '2002-11-29 10:59:56.0'} WHERE ((S

    It looks like some problem with the JDBC driver. The databse is Oracle 8.17. How

  • Invalid column name in query string - using Format function

    In my post just before this one the problem was solved for writing a query string using a date range. The rest of the query string includes the same date field (Call_Date) but formatted as 'MMM-YY'. I get an invalid column name error when I add this field to the query string. Here is the rest of the query string:
    strSql = "SELECT Format(CALL_DATE,'mmm-yy'), " _
    & "HOME_REGION FROM CCC2.CASE_EPRP " _
    & "WHERE (HOME_REGION = 'NCR') AND " _
    "(CALL_DATE >= to_date( '1/1/2002', 'MM/DD/YYYY' )" _
    & "AND CALL_DATE <= to_date( '2/28/2003', 'MM/DD/YYYY' ))"
    In the Access Query tool I can include this field
    Format(CALL_DATE,'mmm-yy')
    and the query runs fine (I just need to make it dynamic using ADO). But in my ADO query string above, I get the invalid column name error. Is there a way I can include
    Format(CALL_DATE,'mmm-yy')
    in my ADO query string? I appologize for not being more familiar with Oracle Sql. Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks again,
    Rich

    Thank you very much for your reply. I think I'm getting closer to the solution. Just I got an error message
    "date format not recognized"
    when I add "to_char( call_date, 'mmm-yy' )" to the query string. I tried using all uppercase, but that did not make a difference. Do I need to use to_date inside the to_char maybe?
    to_char(to_date(call_date, 'mmm/yy'), 'mmm-yy')
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Use of NOT IN leads to an invalid column name error

    The query works just fine when placed directly into sql plus
    The query works, called from a Java using an Oracle Statement, ONLY IF I remove the NOT.
    However, with NOT it chokes, and gives me this:
    selQ=select lenum, zeugn from stock_rpt where lenum NOT in ('X12345', 'X23456')
    Could Select or Read Selected data

    at teste.main(teste.java:40)
    The column does have an index.
    The above is my simplified test query, I am using to narrow down the problem.
    SelQ is the value of the Select String.
    Really I want to do something like this:
    select x1, x2 from tableX where x1 NOT IN (select y1 from tableY)
    I know I can just compare records one at a time, but I would rather not, if there is a way to make NOT IN work.
    Thank you

    Hi Eileen Keeney ,
    may be you can use prepared statement but beware of sql injection
    selQ=select lenum, zeugn from stock_rpt where lenum NOT in ('X12345', 'X23456')
    Try :
    selQ=select lenum, zeugn from stock_rpt where lenum NOT in (?, ?)
    Then try running it with this fixed parameter binding:
    prest.setString(1, "X12345");
    prest.setString(2, "X23456");
