FULL GC is triggered almost everytime.

Hi.
I use tomcat server (ver6.0.35).
I've learned my tomcat server is suffering poor memory control from GC log.
GC log said that there's only full GC is triggered. No minor GC.
Back ground infor.
Windows server 2003 R2 x64 edition
8G RAM
java 1.6.0
Here's catalina option

To find out what's the main cause of full GC. I dumped heap with visualVM.
As a result of heapdump. I've learned those things.
java.lang.String has 32.6% instances
char[] has 32.6% instances
java.util.HashMap$Entry has 25.8% instances
Others are less 1%.
Now I'm co-work with my teammate to release memory after using HashMap and collection objects sort of Vector Arraylist and so on.
But I'm not sure what I'm doing is helpful or not.
Please guide me what things should be done to solve this problem?

Good point. Strictly speaking in terms of resolving this issue you are correct. If you are trying to isolate the cause of a specific problem you don't want to make changes just because they could help. Especially unless you know what other impacts the change may have.
I could have expressed it differently but that is why I first ask OP why they were using client. Perhaps they have a reason.
Every server application I have worked on used -server to get the benefits that it offers and because that is what it is designed for. So when I see a server application, especially a major one like OPs not seeing the -server parameter being specified it raises questions in my mind.

I keep getting warnings that my icloud space is almost full, but I have almost 1GB left

I recently upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 8, then a couple of days later got an iPhone 6 (obviously with iOS 8), 64GB. I've removed the backups from my old phone, so in my iCloud, it's telling me there's a backup for my iPad of around 800MB and my (new) iPhone of around 3.2GB. All this seems right (it's mostly photos). I am now getting periodic pop-up warnings from iCloud (running on Windows 7 64-bit Pro) that say "iCloud storage almost full". It's showing that I have about 975MB free which while not a lot, is sufficient since each backup should continue to be around the same size.
The thing that's annoying is that I seem to be getting this warning pretty frequently. I haven't timed it, but it seems like these warnings are happening every 10 or 15 minutes. Is there some threshold of free space that I need to maintain to prevent these warnings?
Would deleting my backup and creating a new one help?

In answer to your first question, unfortunately you don't get allocated more iCloud storage as you buy more devices - it is 5GB free per account.
Regarding the pop-up, I too find it annoying but you won't find a resolution to it on these forums - best thing to do is to submit feedback to Apple and hope they improve it.

Why is my storage on my iPhone 4 full when I have almost nothing on it

Recently my iPhone 4 keeps alerting me that the storage is almost full. I deleted most of my apps and photos in an attempt to have more storage. Even while doing that it still says it's full even though there's no way it can be. Please help!

Your problem is nothing to do with iCloud
iCloud stores a back up of data on your iPhone not the data itsself
You need to do a restore as new it seems you have corrupt files on the device which is eating your storage on the iPhone

Safari hangs almost everytime I reply to messages on this board

I have at home what I consider a fairly fast Verizon Business FIOS (15/2 megabit) connection, which along with Safari works extremely well, but invariably almost always hangs up when I access this AppleScript message board.
It hangs up mostly when I try to read and reply to individual messages, followed by trying to get back to the list topics. It almost always, without exception, hangs up when posting a new topic, or editing a new topic within the allowable first 15 minutes.
What I've noticed is that if I stop the spinning icon, and try to reload the page, sometimes the new message shows up on the list, and sometimes it doesn't and I have to re-enter it again. I don't normally get the error message below, because for the most part it becomes obvious that Safari is hung, and I just try to reload the list page and start over again.
I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or what the problem might be with my setup. I suspect it's the site, because as I mentioned before, Safari almost never hangs up for me, except at this site.
Any ideas ?

I don't have FIOS but I do use Safari to access the discussion forums without encountering the issue you've described (knock on wood). It's always hard to diagnose and troubleshoot connection issues without actually sitting in front of the computer (even more so when the problem is intermittent). Let me ask some questions:
Is your computer connecting wirelessly?
Have you tried resetting Safari and/or emptying the cache?
Have you tried Private Browsing to note any differences?
How about going to Safari's->Preferences->Security and checking/unchecking Web Contents and/or enabling/disabling cookies?
Have you tried creating another user account on your machine and log in with that user account to access the discussion board to see if there's a difference?

Updated 9.0 Beta (20111212185108) a few days ago. Now having "Not Responding" message almost everytime I use Firefox. Long delays until it responds. Almost unusable now.

(1) You say you did the symbolic link. I will assume this is set correctly; it's very important that it is.
(2) I don't know what you mean by "Been feeding the [email protected] for several weeks now, 700 emails each day at least." After the initial training period, SpamAssassin doesn't learn from mail it has already processed correctly. At this point, you only need to teach SpamAssassin when it is wrong. [email protected] should only be getting spam that is being passed as clean. Likewise, [email protected] should only be getting legitimate mail that is being flagged as junk. You are redirecting mail to both [email protected] and [email protected] ... right? SpamAssassin needs both.
(3) Next, as I said before, you need to implement those "Frontline spam defense for Mac OS X Server." Once you have that done and issue "postfix reload" you can look at your SMTP log in Server Admin and watch as Postfix blocks one piece of junk mail after another. It's kind of cool.
(4) Add some SARE rules:

Firefox 3.6.15 hangs almost everytime I close the program, any fix soon?

It started with the update to 3.6.14 and worsen with 3.6.15 now almost every time I close Firefox it hangs and I have to end manually the process. I have the same problem on 3 different PC running Windows 7 32-bit, Windows 7 64-bit, and Windows Vista, and the all have different Add-ins, and I did not have that problem with 3.6.13

Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.

If you could upgrade to a more recent version of the JDK, in particular,
JDK 6u2, please try that.
If, for some reason, you are unable to upgrade, then try the following
option and let us know if it helped:-

Ethernet not working... self-assigned ip almost everytime

Hi,
Just having a few issues with my new macbook. Everytime I try to connect to a router or an internet connection with an ethernet cable, after my macbook attempts to connect it comes up saying self-assigned address and connected.
The issue is everytime I have DHCP enabled and every PC I connect with the cable, works first time, everytime.
Just a little concerned I may have a hardware issue since it seems really strange that this would work.
I should add that occasionally it does work (maybe 1 out of every 20 or 30 attempts) and as long as i dont disconnect it is fine.
I have tried restarting the computer, updating to the latest software, but still not change.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and/or have any ideas?

Thanks for answer.. The issue is that its not just on one connection. I live in student housing and we just have to plug a ethernet cable into the socket on the wall and it is meant to receive an ip address from the dhcp.. i can assign a manual one, which iv tried after recording the ip the dhcp gives me, but eventhough it says connected, it still doesnt work.. Since then I have tried at university, with the same problem of getting a self-assigned ip.
its gotten to the point where i purchased a wireless router so i could plug that into the wall at home and have wireless internet, funny thing is i couldnt set it up because when i tried to use the ethernet cable to connect, i had the same problem. Had to borrow my girlfriends pc to get it up and running.
Thanks for your assistance. I'll be sure to try what you suggested when i get home but i still am worried its a hardware issue as its happening at different locations.

Safari crashes almost everytime I use it

The screen goes black and I lose data. This happens sometimes after less than a mintue and sometimes I can be on as long as five or ten montues before it crashes. I did restore with Apple service tech on telephone today becuase telephone would not turn on. The telephone now turns on, but crashes all the time. Any fix or solution?

I did the update. My phone literally would not turn on unless I plugged the power cord in. The lag and crash was horrid on 2.0.
I am getting lag right now as I type even though this phone was updated to newer version today with help from tech support.
I have now spent around $1,500 on iPhones due to cracking screens (one feel only about a foot out of a beach bag and was in a protective case). I spent $ 500.00 traveling last week to an Apple Store since they would not send me a 3G replacement for my iPhone in the mail and would not even hold one for me so a family member could pick it up to keep me from having to leave the beach to get a new phone.
I have spent perhaps two hours on telephone with tech support and on these web sites trouble shooting my whacked out iPhone. I am a lawyer that bills $ 400.00 an hour so my total expenditure for my current non functioning iPhone is about $ 2,400.00 out of pocket.
These things are a joke and the consumer being compelled to pay nearly full price fir a new phone because we are stuck on this AT&T contract for iphone line. Heck, there were 3 people with cracked phones at the store when I went to replace cracked phone number 2 iN March or April. Any wonder why Apple does not sell a warranty? Even LG offers a warranty for broken screens for their $650.00 touch screen Flip.

I have the Photographer's Creative Cloud membership. My fees are taken out everymonth on time. However, I am asked almost everytime I start Photoshop to relicense the software. What is wrong?

A year ago, I had the same problem of having to re-license my software every time I started it up. I could actually find a number to call and got great help fixing the problem. It is happening again and I have been having trouble trouble finding a number. Maybe someone here knows what I need to do to make the licensing procedure stick. It is annoying to have to re-license every time I start Photoshop. Sometimes it is worse because I have to restart Photoshop in order to open a file in ACR from Bridge which usually means that I have to re-license the saftware again.

After deleting contents of SLCache and renaming SLStore folder, it will autocreate fresh new SLCache files and create new SLStore folder.
It should pop up Adobe Application manager window with "License this software" option.
Please check with below steps:

1)Open Control Panel and then click on the option "Network and Internet" .
2)Click on Internet options, click on 'Connections' tab.
3)In the 'Connections' tab, select 'LAN' settings, you will be able to view the Local area network settings box.
4)Check the box-"Automatically Detect Settings" and then "uncheck" all the other check boxes like 'Use automatic configuration script', 'Use a proxy server' , Bypass proxy server' ,then click on ok button .
5)Click on "LAN settings" button again , make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is the only option selected, keep the LAN properties window open.

Delete Adobe Application Manager from C:drive>Program Files(x86)>Common Files>Adobe.
Then click on below link and download Adobe Application manager and install the same:

Once the installation process is completed , look for Adobe Application Manager shortcut icon on Desktop and double click on it .
It will start update process, once it is completed , it will launch Creative Cloud desktop application.
If already signed in , you can leave it as it is. if not please sign in with valid Adobe ID and Password.
Then launch Photoshop cc 2014 application and try to activate.
If this solution does nor work , try below step :

Close all Adobe applications and Quit Creative Cloud desktop application.
Launch Task Bar and click on " Processes" Tab , in the same , check the box " Show Processes from all users" .
Then end all Adobe related processes like Creative Cloud, CoreSync, Armsvc, AAMupdater, AAMupdater notifier, Adobe Crash demon...etc process from Task manager.
Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.

Then navigate to Local>Adobe>OOBE. Open OOBE folder and delete opm file.
Once you had deleted opm.db file , launch Creative Cloud desktop application , it will ask for sign in.
Then Sign in with valid Adobe ID.
And try to launch Photoshop cc2014 and try activating the same.
If none of these steps work , check if there is any Adobe entries is present in the Hosts file which is blocking the activation process.
1)Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and look for file named hosts inside etc folder.
2)Copy the hosts file to Desktop and open the same with notepad and check.
If Adobe entries are present remove it and replace the edited Hosts back to Etc folder and select replace option.
If none of the above works, you need to contact Adobe Technical Support via Phone or Live Chat.
Just for information : The Ultimate final step is complete removal of all Adobe applications and Adobe folders from all locations:
In windows Adobe folders are created in 8 locations .

Firefox stops responding almost everytime I use Facebook

When I scroll down on Facebook or try to go to a game, Firefox stops responding for 10 to 45 seconds and comes on again. When i start scrolling it stops responding again. this problem occurs quite regularly

Firefox crashes almost everytime I try to attach a document. Why?

I Just got a new Dell XPS Dimension PC w/Win 8.1. It didn't have Firefox, so I downloaded it (version 29.0.1).
Nearly every time I try to attach a document, e.g., a photo, or other file, Firefox crashes. The crash occurs when I double-click on the directory and/or folder that has the document I want to attach. I have submitted over half a dozen crash reports the last few days.
Instead of double-clicking, I tried simply clicking once on the OPEN button that appears when I ask to attach a document. This reduced the frequency of crashes, but, did not eliminate them.
The crashes have occurred when i was attempting to attach a document to an email in yahoo mail. The crashes have also occurred when I was attempting to add a photo to a news article i was writing for Examiner.co using their publishing tool.
I just switched from Windows XP. Firefox NEVER crashed when i was trying to do this in XP.
I tried to duplicate the problem in Internet Explorer 11, which came with my PC. I have not been able to duplicate the problem with Explorer.
What is going on?

There isn't anything to understand. That's just the kernel Windows is running on. Windows NT is basically Windows and 6.3.9600 is saying you're running Windows 8.1. That's just technical information. :) Not really important to the end-user. Good for us, though.
Your crash report seems to be a new issue in Firefox 29 and other users have reported (in the bug report comments) that they've crashed while trying to attach as well. This seems to be isolated to Windows 8.1 and it crashes a little more often in Thunderbird than Firefox 29.0.1. Perhaps a bug report should be filed under this signature. 
Unfortunately, I can't find a cause for this crash but I'll escalate this thread to the professional HelpDesk staff and hopefully they or other more knowledgeable contributors will assist you further

Why is it when i have the pop up widow blocker on almost everytime i open a window a pop up window opens?

I have gone in and set my browser to block pop up windows but 9 out of 10 times when i click on a page or go to open a link i get at least 1 if not more pop up windows everything from online games to advertisements. was wondering if i needed to add another blocker or not?

Almost everytime I sign into Game Center or into a game itself my iPad goes back to desktop. Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm having a lot of problems sometimes signing into Game Center, or when the game itself is loaded I will click on something and it pretty much crashes and goes back to desktop! This is very annoying. Just not sure why this keeps happening. Does anyone else have this problem and know what the cause of it may be?

My guess would be you don't have enough memory available to run the games that you are trying to play. This is not supposed to happen in iOS - but I have seen too many instances to believe that the iOS can handle it properly all of the time. My suggestion would be to close all apps in the recents tray, reboot and start over again and see if that helps.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
The problem could be something else software related and restoring the device might help, but I would start with this and see how it goes.
