Function help - Tournament data copying

Hello,
I am currently making some sheets for a Tournament coming up soon and was just wondering if there is a way to automatically fill out the Quarter Final brackets using the Qualifying table and functions. For example, only checked rows from a certain section will be copied over.

I haven't set the functions yet, I've just manually inputted the data to show what I want to do automatically
I thought I could use the REPLACE Function
I tried REPLACE(Qualifying::Table 1::B2:B5,IF(Qualifying::Table 1::E2:E5,TRUE)) but that obviously didn't work haha
Basically I want a name from Qualifying B2 to B5 to be copied to Finals Table 1 A1 if the checkbox on the same row is checked

You can write UDFs in java in Graphical mapping to enhance your XI Graphical mapping functionality
The steps for doing it would be:
1. Click on Create New function Button found on Bottom left corner on your XI Mapping window.
2. Write your java code.
3. Run the Mapping Test as usual.

How to use CVI or VC function to exchange data between 78xxR and CVI or MFC exe

with the Labview FPGA module,I write down th FPGA program on the 78xxR,and then use Labview to program for the data exchange between the host PC and the FPGA board. the question is that I have many programs written in CVI or MFC, I think if some c function can access the FIFO of the 78xxRunder under CVI or VC,for example, some functions available to copy data to or from the FIFO, then the old program can easily be change to use 78xxR board. can someone tell me?
now I use "Call Library Function Node" to load a dll that open shared memory created in CVI or MFC exe, use "Call Library Function Node"to read data from the shared memory and then use LV function to write data to FPGA; use LV "read/write control" node to Read data from the FPGA and then use "Call Library Function Node" to write data to shared memory. and a CVI or MFC exe read or write data to or from the shared memory, it works but isn't a good method, can some one has better method?

     As there is no FPGA module supported for CVI or MFC, using "Call library Function node" is the only way to solve your problem until now.
    You have many programs written in CVI or MFC, so you can build the LabVIEW program as dll, and call it in CVI.

Search help for date field in Editable ALV

Hello Friends,
I am using editable alv using 'reuse_* '.
I have used date as input field. While creating fieldcatlog also i have declared dat as a mkpf-budat.
But i am not getting serach help for date in output.
Is it possible with reuse or i have to go by object oriented ?

Help for date field not working after upgrade

hi experts,
In our BSP application for a page we had an inputfield (date).
Onvaluehelp for input field we were calling the saphelpdate function.
however after upgrade this functionality is not working properly as no pop up comes after clicking on the icon.
we have upgraded to SPS 16 recently.
please help me.

Calendar Functionality for a date field in HTML of a ITS service

Hi
I am working with SRM EBP module we want to add date help(with calendar function) to existign date fields in Shopping cart and PO screens . I found some HTML and Javascripts in SYSTEM and BBPGLOBAL services (named as calendar)but not sure which ones to use if anyone used date functionality or even have access to Standard SAP ITS screens that already have date field with calendar fuctionality can you help???????????????

Let me first thank you for the quick response and timely help you provided calendar popup works great but one minor issue i am not able to click on the date entry and bring the field back into the field not sure if this funcitonality is in show_calendar.

Here are the steps I did
I have a HTML page SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS screen 300 in SRM module , I created a new HTML page (zcalendar.html) in the same internet service BBPSC01 as suggested and I included in my HTML page SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS screen 300 and also I added below code to add a icon and a href call to the show_calendar function.
Code works great I get the popup but when I double click on the date it is not selecting the date into the field back .
Any thoughts??????

Function of HOLD DATA in the settings for creation of a new screen.

Since i'm new to ABAP and still learning my way through, i would really appreciate if somebody can help me out with the exact functioning of selecting the check box 'HOLD DATA' under the settings option while creation of a new screen.

Take simple scenario of SE38. The Screen for the transaction has the Flag "HOLD DATA" as Ticked.
Now enter some program name on the field and Click - Utilities-> User Profile -> Hold data.
Now come out of the transaction, go back to the same transaction. The name of the Program that you entered earlier will appear on the input field.
So if the screen doesn't have "Hold Data" set the functions of HOLD data, SET DATA, DELETE data will not work.
Also try using SET DATA For the Program input field.
SAP Help :
If you activate this option, the following functions are supported for the screen at runtime:
System -> User profile -> Hold data
-> Set data
-> Delete data
The Hold data function allows you to hold onto any entries you have made on the screen. When the screen is next processed (even in a different mode), the system then automatically redisplays the data in the input fields.
If the option is not activated, these functions are ineffective at screen runtime.

Need Help with data type conversion

Hello People,
I am new to java, i need some help with data type conversion:
I have variable(string) storing IP Address
IPAddr="10.10.103.10"
I have to call a library function which passes IP Address and does something and returns me a value.
The problem I have is that external function call in this library excepts IP Address in form of a byte array.
Here is the syntax for the function I am calling through my program
int createDevice (byte[] ipAddress).
now my problem is I don't know how to convert the string IPAddr variable into a byte[] ipAddress to pass it through method.

Class InetAddress has a method
byte[] getAddress() You can create an instance using the static method getByName() providing the IP address string as argument.

Data copy in Hyperion Planning taking long time

Hi All,
good morning.
I am using data copy in hyperion planning (11 1 2 2) to copy from one scenario to other selecting account annotations and supporting details.
The essbase part of copying data completed (checked sessions), but when I checked the job console in planning it still says processing for past 2 hrs.
My java heap size for planning is 1.5GB and the backed database is SQL server
my suspicion is that the issue was with backend sql. but I don't where to start.
can anyone please guide me.

I am working with version 11.1.2.1 and running into the same issue. The Supporting detail option works fine if the application has just a few details, let’s say 50 cells, but if we have around 500 cell with details then the copy process never ends, the details are not copied, and I have to restart the Planning service. As a workaround we are using a two steps process. In the first step we copy the just Essbase using the copy data functionality of Planning (with no data copy options enabled) or by using an Essbase calculation script. For the Supporting Details piece we use the Export for Edit functionality of LCM and export them to an XML file, and then we edit the XML file and change the source member name with the target member name, and finally we use the Import after Edit functionality of LCM. Of course if works only if the Planning application was deployed using EPMA.

structure doesnot hold any data. instead of it you can check the stucture in which table it is used, find the table name,use select query to extract the data u needed.
you can use where used list option to find the structure in which table it is used.

Max function on a date field

I would like to know if it's possible to do a Max function between two dates ?
For instance I would like to do:
Date Y = Max (created date + 4 days) and (Date X + 3 days)

How to incoporate a function module in data source based on view

I need to develop a data source in R/3 based on a view (which is straight forward).
One field in the R/3 Z table will be in like this 20,070,709,110,000
There is a function module developed in R/3 when executed will split the record(20,070,709,110,000) and display time & date
How can i incorporate this function module in data source so that the data and time records will be loaded to BW

Enhance the data source with date and time and populate these fields in the user exit using the function module IB_CONVERT_FROM_TIMESTAMP .
OR
You can create Z function module IB_CONVERT_FROM_TIMESTAMP in BW side and write a routine in update rules/transfer rules to populate date and time.

Need Help with Dates

I am printing a calendar and certain events will be helds on certain dates.
One can edit the event if it has not passed the date. Events in the past can be viewed but not edited.
When I query the database the date must be formatted dd-MMM-yy
I am able to get today's date by doing this:

I'm looping through each day of the month to print the days. I have the month, day, year as integers. How can I create a date object out of that and compare it to today's date to test if it's before or after today???
All the function in the Date class that I think would do this have been deprecated.

Here is some information about dates:
There are many edible palm fruits, and one of the most widespread and favored of these is the data (Phoenix dactylifera). Dates were cultivated in ancient land from Mesopotamia to prehistoric Egypt, possibly as early as 6000 B.C. Then--as now--dates were a staple for the natives of those dry regions. I have a fileld in table that has the structure of eban.
There is a field pstyp and it has input help in it's data element.
I want to suppress the f4 help and attach customized f4 help without implementing Badi.
Please help how to suppree the data elements f4 help.

make your own structure, use own data element. Assign own search help to data element. Or assign own search help in your own structure. Then you dont even need an own data element, just copy structure EBAN and change search help assign in structure..
Thats when you need it generally.
If you just need to overwrite the search help for e.G. a certain Dynpro, then just assign your own search help to the dynpro field.
