Function in select statement need to be called only for the last record.

Select state,
local,
fun_state_loc_other_details(19) details
from state_local
where pm_key=19
resuts:_
State Local Details
AP APlocal details1
UP UPLocal details1
MP MPLocal details1
i) The above query returns 100 records
ii) fun_state_loc_other_details is also getting called 100 times. But I want this function to be called only for the last record that is 100th record.
is there any way to do that?

Thanks amatu.
One more small query. Can I do it on condition based.
Select state,
local,
fun_state_loc_other_details(19) details
from state_local
where pm_key=19
Like if one state it need to be called once.
AP -- 50 records
UP - 20 records
MP -- 10 records.
fyi: this record no. varies
I want the function to be called for AP once, UP once, MP once.

    The last 12 months' worth can be obtained via your on-line MyVerizon account; look under View Bill and use the drop-down to select the appropriate bill.  Anything prior to the past 12 months would need to be obtained via Customer Service; there is a charge (I believe $5 per copy, but I'm not sure).

  • Select statement is taking lot of time for the first time Execution.?

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing the following issue. I am using one select statement to retrieve all the contracts from the table CACS_CTRTBU according to FOR ALL ENTRIES restriction.
    if p_lt_zcacs[] is not initial.
    SELECT
               appl ctrtbu_id version gpart
               busi_begin busi_end tech_begin tech_end
               flg_cancel_obj flg_cancel_vers int_title
             FROM cacs_ctrtbu INTO TABLE lt_cacs FOR ALL ENTRIES IN p_lt_zcacs
                                                    WHERE
                                                    appl EQ gv_appl
                                                    AND ctrtbu_id EQ p_lt_zcacs-ctrtbu_id
                                                    AND  ( flg_cancel_vers EQ '' OR version EQ '000000' )
                                                    AND flg_cancel_obj EQ ''
                                                    AND busi_begin LE p_busbegin
                                                    AND busi_end GT p_busbegin.
    endif.
    The WHERE condition is in order with the available Index. The index has  APPL,CTRTBU_ID,FLG_CANCEL_VERS and FLG_CANCEL_OBJ.
    The technical settings of table CACS_CTRTBU says that the "Buffering is not allowed"
    Now the problem is , for the first time execution of this select statement, with 1.5 lakh entries in P_LT_ZCACS table, the select statement takes 3 minutes.
    If I execute this select statement again, in another run with Exactly the same parameter values and number of entries in P_LT_ZCACS ( i.e 1.5 lakh entries), it gets executed in 3-4 seconds.
    What can be the issue in this case? Why first execution takes longer time?.. Or is there any way to modify the Select statemnt to get better performance.
    Thanks in advance

    Sounds like caching or buffering in some layer down the i/o stack. Your first execution
    seems to do the "physical I/O" where your following executions can use the caches / buffers
    that are filled by your first exectution.

    If modifying your SELECTS statement or your indexes could help depends on your access details:
    does your internal table P_LT_ZCACS  contain duplicates?
    how do your indexes look like?
    how does your execution plan look like?
    what are your execution figures in ST05 - Statement Summary?
    (nr. of executions, records in total, total time, time per execuiton,  records per execution, time per record,...)

  • Sender JDBC adapter -- Update SQL statement NOT work for the last record

    I'm trying to use SAP XI to send records from Oracle database to As/400 using JDBC adapter.  I've defined the communication channel for sender
    (1)  The "Query SQL statement"  = select  a_bgn_dt,  a_end_dt from  PX_PXXD WHERE NOT CU_ACTION_CD='P'
    (2)   The "Update SQL statement"  = update PX_PXXD set CU_ACTION_CD='P'  WHERE NOT CU_ACTION_CD='P'
    Supposed that 3 records were retrieved from (1) and successfully updated to AS/400 but only the first 2 records in Oracle database are updated according to (2)
    Any advise.

    Hi Pansy,
    You select and update query is looking like wrong
    kindly check below query,If you are using oracle

  • When I have selected multiple paths using the pen tool, I can't make a selection out of them all, but only of the last one I created.

    I want to make a selection with both paths in the selection. But it's only allowing me to select one, if I try both the paths just dissapear.

    Similarly to what @JJMack said, if you use the direct selection tool (shortcut: A), you can either select all of the paths, or select a blank area of the canvas (which will deselect all paths) and then selecting the 'convert path to selection' button should convert them all simultaneously.
    This is one of several bothersome changes to the path selection functionality in CC.

        tinaro, managing your account online at My Verizon is easy breezy. You can view and print your call details for the last 12 months. However, I apologize that you will be required to access these records from your previous billing statements. • Unable to call local function in select statement.

    Hi all,
    I am unable to call the local function in select statement in below scenario.
    DECLARE
    l_cnt NUMBER;
    FUNCTION FUN1 RETURN NUMBER
    AS
    BEGIN RETURN 2;
    END;
    BEGIN
    SELECT FUN1 INTO l_cnt FROM DUAL;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(l_cnt );
    END;
    /Any alternate way to call local function in select statement?
    Thanks
    Ram.

    Hi,
    Sorry, you can't call a locally defined function in a SQL statement, even if that SQL statement is in a PL/SQL block where the function is in scope.
    This applies to packages, also. If a function is not declared in the package spec, but only in the package body, then you can't call it from SQL statements in the package body.
    Why do you want a locally defined function? Why not a function defined outside the procedure?

  • Using java function in select statement

    Hi,
    I am trying to use java function in select statement.
    public class ClassA{
         private static String MyConst = "foo";
         public static String functionA(){
              return MyConst;
    in my query I have:
    select
         ClassA.functionA() AS id,
         groupId AS newID,
    from
         myChannel[now]
    ClassA is part of the application (no need to import).
    I get and error of Invalid Expression on ClassA.functionA().
    I also tried to declare the function in the processor element:
    <wlevs:processor id="proc">
         <wlevs:function function-name="A" exec-methode="functionA">
              <bean class="mtPackage.ClassA"/>
         </wlevs:function>
    <wlevs:processor>
    but then I get a different error in the processor XML file:  "An InvocationTargetException was encoutered while attemting to register the user defind function A. The message was null"
    What am I missing here?

    Hi,
    From the above description, you have tried two manners to call method functionA() in the user defined  class ClassA. One uses java cartridge manner directly and the other try to use user defined function manner.
    For the java cartridge manner, the following CQL query should work if the ClassA is really included in the OEP app. I have done similar test before, it works.
    select
         ClassA.functionA() AS id,
         groupId AS newID,
    from
         myChannel[now]
    For user defined function manner, I think two things you need to change:
    1. Need to declare the function in the EPN assembly file(under META-INF/spring/), not component configuration file(under META-INF/wlevs/). The following is an example:
    <wlevs:processor id="proc">
         <wlevs:function function-name="A" exec-methode="functionA">
              <bean class="mtPackage.ClassA"/>
         </wlevs:function>
    </wlevs:processor>
    2. Call the user defined function in the CQL query in the component configuration file under processor. For example:
    select A() from myChannel

  • PL/SQL Function in Select statement

    Hi
    I am calling a function in select statement. The query works in Toad and PL/SQL developer except SQL plus and disconnecting Oracle connection.
    The error is “ERROR at line 1: ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel”.
    When I called the same query from BC4J View Object the error message is “java.sql.SQLException: No more data to read from socket”.
    Can any one advise me please?
    Thanks

    I've seen similar cases in the past with 9.2.0.x (x <= 5). What Oracle version are you using? It's worth checking the bug database (I can't just now - I don't have a valid support id in my current contract). And as Warren says, post your SQL query.

  • Count(*) function in select statement having group by condition

    Hi
    I would like to use count(*) in select statement having group by clause. say for example there is a state with a number of cities listed. I would like to get the count of cities for each state.
    the sql stement is grouped by state and it is joined with 5 more tables.
    Thanks
    ps: ignore the previous post

    Assuming there is one record per city per state, then
    SELECT state,count(*)
    FROM state_tbl
    GROUP BY stateWill get one record per state with the number of cities in each state. If you want to join that result set to other tables you need to either create a view with that statement or use an in-line view viz.
    SELECT c.cust_name,c.state,s.num_cities
    FROM customers c,
         (SELECT state,count(*) num_cities
          FROM state_tbl
          GROUP BY state) s
    WHERE c.state = s.stateTTFN

  • How to pass rowtype argument to a function from select statement?

    Hi all!
    I have function that takes mytable%rowtype as in parameter. can I pass entire row of mytable to the function from select statement? kind of
    select myfunction(mytable.*) from mytable where ....
    Thanks in advance

    The function can be used in a SQL statement only if it accepts SQL types and returns SQL type. %ROWTYPE being PL/SQL construct and not a SQL datatype, can not be used in this context.

  • Field to make uneditable only for the current/selected row

    I have a web dynpro application and I  wanted to make some fields uneditable and for this I have done the following:
    I bound a context attribute to the readOnly property of all the fields you want to control. Then in the onEnter event of the main field, I set the value of this bound context attribute to ABAP_TRUE to change the state of the corresponding UI elements.
    I have written the following in the onenter event of the main field:
    DATA lo_el_context TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
       DATA ls_context TYPE wd_this->element_context.
       DATA lv_editable TYPE wd_this->element_context-editable.
    *  get element via lead selection
       lo_el_context = wd_context->get_element( ).
    *  @TODO handle not set lead selection
       IF lo_el_context IS INITIAL.
       ENDIF.
    *  @TODO fill attribute
    *  lv_editable = 1.
    *  set single attribute
       lo_el_context->set_attribute(
         name =  `EDITABLE`
         value = 'ABAP_TRUE' ).
    Now the issue is that when I hit enter on the main field all other fields gray out/uneditable for all the rows, what I want is the other fields should be greyed out only for the row where I am entering the main field and hit enter.
    Can you please tell me how can I do that?
    Thanks,
    Rajat

    Hi Raj,
    You are not getting it. When you have only one context attribute and bind that to all the rows/columns of the table then everything will be enabled or disabled.
    In your case, create a local node with cardinality 1:1 inside the node you already have.
    Write a supply a function for this node.
    Add a attribute read_only of type wdy_boolean.
    bind this attribute to the read_only property of the table columns.
    in the supply function based on the element conditions you might have enable this attribute of disable.
    supply function method already has the necessary code , you only need to enable the commented lines and put your if ..end if  code around it.
    See a example.
    * General Notes
    * =============
    * A common scenario for a supply method is to aquire key
    * informations from the parameter <parent_element> and then
    * to invoke a data provider.
    * A free navigation thru the context, especially to nodes on
    * the same or deeper hierachical level is strongly discouraged,
    * because such a strategy may easily lead to unresolvable
    * situations!!
    *  if necessary, get static attributes of parent element
      DATA ls_parent_attributes TYPE wd_this->element_sflight.
      parent_element->get_static_attributes(
        IMPORTING
          static_attributes = ls_parent_attributes ).
    ** data declaration
      DATA ls_prop TYPE wd_this->element_prop.
    ** @TODO compute values
    ** e.g. call a data providing FuBa
      IF ls_parent_attributes-carrid <> 'LH'  .
        ls_prop-read_only = abap_true.
      ELSE.
        ls_prop-read_only = abap_false.
      ENDIF.
    ** bind a single element
      node->bind_structure(
        new_item             =  ls_prop
        set_initial_elements = abap_true ).
