Function module CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 Documentation

I cannot find any documentation for function module CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2.  It is a very powerful function module, however, it is not useful without documentation.  I know that it can do single level boms as well as multi level and a host of other things, but I can only guess without documentation.  Do you know where I can get documentation for this function module.

    Im going to use FM: CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 and I want to only pass WERKS, but when I execute FM is gives exception as CALL_INVALID.
    I saw all the Import parameters are Optional, but I think I need to pass more inputs to FM.
    Please let me know what are MINIMUM input parameters required to run this FM

    In my requirement, there are range of WERKS and MATNR which has to be given from selection screen, where as In CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 function module I can only give single value for WERKS and MATNR.
    Can any one guide me how can I implement this?

    I have been trying to use a Virtual Infocube with Services.
    I have seen most of the posts in SDN, and read the documentation in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/8d/2b4e3cb7f4d83ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    I did not manage to find a precise description of the import 
    parameters of the Variant 2.
    In particular, what is the meaning of the
    i_tx_rangetab TYPE rsdri_tx_rangetab parameter. I read in the code of RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET that it has to do with query columns. In the tests I did this table is alway empty.
    Also, i_th_sfc gives you the list of characteristics used in the query. But it does not inform you on wether these are in the 'rows' 'free characteristics' or 'filter'. Is there a way of knowing that?

    you will now see a screen, there GOTO->HEADER.
    YOU will see a screen with the below details.

    in this case TEXT NAME = FUNCTION MODULE NAME.
    These details are stored in STXH &STXL . But you can use select from these tables. you have to use READ_TEXT to read the documentation to the program.

  • Bom explosion function module for bypassing phantom materials

    hi,
    function module "cS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2" is used to explode the componensts of first level only.
    In my case there are components at first level are phantom assemblies so i want to drill down further to arrive at E or F part which may be at 2nd or 3rd level.
    please suggest any BAPI or function module for the above requirement.

    Iam preparing Z report for BOM display of FG and SFG materials.
    Iam displaying the Basic List using the MAST table. Here i double click on the material no.
    Here iam using the function module :CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 for fetching the data from STPOX structure ,here i want to link material no. which has been from basic list and the above said function module. 
    Can anybody provide the solution for the above said linking in ALV interactive report.
    Please treat it very urgent as this report is to be presented on high priority.

  • Any Function Module to get Service Conditions in Service Contracts???

    Hi All,
    I have created a function module inside which I have written BDC code for changing Service Contracts (ME32K).
    I have used Item_condition and item_cond_validity structures in Table parameters.
    For changing the conditions related to services, I need to know first which ones of those conditions were already there in the database for the contract and which ones are newly put in item_condition structure.
    Similar reqmnt I had for Services also, for which I got the FM - MS_FETCH_SPEC_FOR_LIST, wherein I am giving Package number from Ekpo and getting the services related to item. I need something similar for Conditions also.
    Is there any Function module wherein by giving the item and service info, I can get the conditions related to that particular Service? Or else any way using SAP std tables, I can get this info.
    Please respond if anyone has this info.

    Step 2. Use FM SO_FOLDER_READ_API1 of the respective folder. You can read the Inbox, Workflow Inbox depending on what folder you read. The function modules are documented well as well with examples.

    A function module is a separate program that can be called from your ABAP code to perform a specific task.
    SAP comes with a library of pre-written function modules. Function modules are pooled together into function groups.
    E.g. calendar functions 
    Function modules have a clearly defined fixed interface for data exchange.
    As one of member suggested go to tcode se37 to explore functional builder.
    You can display information about existing function modules:
    Attributes: specifies administrative information like the person responsible for the module and a short description of the module.
    Import: contains a list of the formal parameters that are used to pass data to a function module. 
    Export: contains a list of the formal parameters that are used to receive data from a function module.
    Changing: contains a list of the formal parameters that are used both to pass data to and receive data from a function module. 
    Tables: specifies the tables that are to be passed to a function module. Table parameters are always passed by reference. 
    Exceptions: shows how the function module reacts to exceptions.
    Source code: program code of the function module.
    Documentation: provides information about the interface and exceptions.

    If I have A as header with B as component and again B may have C as component again C may have D and E as components in it.
    Now if I pass A i should find B,C,D,E,F.

    I am using the function module CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 to get the components of a BOM.

  • Documentation for SAP function modules??

    Hello,
    is there any documentation for the SAP function modules available?
    I need documentation for SJ01 (SAP Objects). If I try to view the documentation in SE80, I get the error message: "Document OJ_XXX(whatever I selected) is not available in language DE"
    Where can I get this documentation?
    Is there an overview+documentation available somewhere of all SAP functions which may be used for own programs? Or how do I know what's already available and how to use it?

  • Documentation of the function module RSC1_ZDD_REPLAY_SET

    I am looking for the documentation of the function module RSC1_ZDD_REPLAY_SET but could not find it in any language.
    I am not a ABAP person so I am not familiar with ABAP, but I want to know what this functiond module does so I tried to look for a documentation, but could not.

    I think this is what I was looking for.
    So, the function module is used to transfer the monitor information that was collected in the mirror system in the scenario of to minimize the downtime for delta initialization.
    Even though it is an old document, it looks like that this is also applicable to the BW release greater than 2.0B.

    go to tcode se37.
    before creating a function module  we have to create function group.
    so to create function group.
    chose menu path GOTO -- Function group -- create function group .
    give the name  of the FG.
    again choose menuu path GOTO -Function group -- change group.
    give the FG name and select MAIN PROGRAM tab and activate that one.
    now create ur FM and click on functiona module documentation button on the application tool bar.
    then u will get a PC Editor
    in that u will have &FUNCTIONALITY& below this line write ur discription
    and for all the remaining options such as &EXAMPLE& &HINTS& &FURTHER_SOURCES_OF_INF&
    write ur desired documentation
    Then in d application tool bar u will have an icon 'SCREEN OUTPUT' or press  ctrlshiftF6.
    then u will see the documenation.
