Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where i need to get Cummulative result between two interval periods.
If user gives single mandatory input value - 002-2009
for one Scenario:-
Project start Date untill Pervious year i.e December 2008
Where project start date will get from one of the field in my BW CUBE
can anyone help for the customer exit function code for this scenario. As i am into BI i dont have idea in ABAP.
Please help sample cod for this .

How to insert a code for a function module into a Customer Exit Variable?

I have two Key Figures viz., Net Prchs Rtl, and Net Prchs Unt. Both these Key figures have This Week (TW) and Last Week (LW). There is a variable for This week but there is no variable defined for Last week.
I need to get data in the column LW (Last Week) for both the key figures.
In function module EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 one of the functions I have is:
Get the previous Fiscal Week
          CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT'
I need to create a new variable to get values in the Last week column for different key figures and use function 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT' in that variable.
Can anyone please explain me the steps as to how to use a function module in a variable so that when the variable is used in a key figure it shows the output.
In other words what I want to know is after creating a Customer exit variable of type Characteristic value how do I refer the above mentioned function moduel and insert the code for the function module into the Customer exit variable that I created.

Error in the ABAP Code for Customer Exit Variable

i created a Variable (ZVWKNO) of Customer Exit,Single Value ,Mandatory and Variable is ready for input

Hi experts,
We have some variables in BEX with Customer-Exits.
I want to see the codings and i do following.
1- Tcode u201CCMODu201D and enter u201CProject Codeu201D go tou201DComponentsu201D.
2- Double Click on EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001
3- Double Click on INCLUDE ZXRSRU01
But I dont see anycoding here.
Where should be the codings for Variables with Customer-Exits hidden?

Hi,
The Include which you are seeing is for only the customer space. This is for Customer exit variables created by Developers. So Here if there are any routines written by the Developers will be there. Initially it will be Blank.
If you want to See the standard SAP Exits goto SMOD.

I know its written in ZXRSRU01, but in my system it seems like its not active or does not exist. How do I get to start working in this include for customer exit variables?

Need logic to find Year to Date for customer exit variable

Hi to all,
I am creating customer exit variable for query .
query should display data according to current system year from jan till current system date.
here senario is like that user never enter year and query will automatically will fetch the data according to current year starting from jan to current system date.
example.
current year 2010 and today is system date is sep 29 2010, so query will display data from jan 2010 to current data sep 29 2010.
please can any one provide me logic for that.

Hi,
You need to create the characteristic customer exit variable of type select-options. Restrict your keyfigure based on this variable.
In the logic in CMOD,
write as below
i_step =2.
case i_vnam.
When 'exit variable'.
temp = sy-datum+0(4).
concatenate temp '0101' into temp1.
l_s_range-low= temp1.
l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
l_s_range-opt = 'BT'.
l_s_range-high= sy-datum.
append APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
endcase.

Help needed in Customer exit variable

We have a scenario as below.
User enters fiscal year period.Based on the fiscal year period,entire year will be selected.
Row would contains
0fiscper3(Fiscal months from Jan to Dec)
Column contains Amount(Actual or Forecast)--There is a restricted keyfigure on amount.If value type=60 then forecast
and value type=10 then actual amount
If the user enters 002.2010 then it should give Actual values ie value type=10 for 001.2010 and 002.2010.For all values greater than 002.2010, it should give forecast values(value type=60)
Report Format.

Actual Value(value type=10 in the column for amount)

Actual Value(value type=10 in the column for amount)

Hi Senoy,
you have to create two customer exit variables for fiscal year period(0fiscper) as given below.
1. for actual values (value type=10), coding in cmod such that showing values less than and equal to user input values.
2. for forecasting values(value type=60,)coding such that showing values greating than user input values.
use the first varible in the first selction and the second varible in the second selection in the given below structure(use the structure in rows)
use the fiscal period user input varible in the third selection in the given structure below.
structure
selection - (Actual)-restrict with value 20 and first customer exit variable .
selection -(Forecast)-restrict with value type 60 and second customer exit variable.
Selection - 0fiscper
Add the key figure 0Amount in the columns or in rows(in the selection of second structure) as per your requirment.

Error Message : " No value could be determined for Customer Exit Variable "

I have created a "ZYTD_PERIOD" Customer Exit Variable Interval Mandatory and ready for input check mark removed.
The reference character is '0FISCPER' .
I want to have YTD figures when the user enter single Fiscal Year Period for variable 0P_FPER.
So I have written below code in SE37 : EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 and include program : ZXRSRU01

After that I use this 'ZYTD_PERIOD' variable in the query .
Also I have used the variable 0P_FPER in another structure.
When I execute the query by entering the value of 0P_FPER as 010.2009 or any other value ,
I am getting below error message ,
*No value could be determined for variable ZYTDPERIOD*_

Note that I have proper Master and Text data for 0CO_AREA and 0COMP_CODE loaded into BI.

System Response
1. Operation method of SAP-Exit-Variables 0P_FVAEX or 0P_CTPCA
With queries from the CO application, both SAP-Exit-Variables look for an entry for 'controlling area'. With this controlling area from the selection screen, the SAP-Exit-Variables program reads the attributes for InfoObject 0CO_AREA (controlling area).
With queries from the FI application, the SAP Exit Variable 0P_FVAEX looks for an entry for 'company code'. With this company code from the selection screen, the SAP Exit Variables program reads the attributes for InfoObject 0COMP_CODE (Company Code).
0P_FVAEX determines the fiscal year variant (attribute 0FISCVARNT) from the attributes for 0CO_AREA (CO queries) or 0COMP_CODE (FI queries). 0P_CTPCA determines the currency type of the profit center local currency (attribute 0CURTP_PCA) from the attributes for 0CO_AREA.
2. Cause of Error
The attributes for the controlling area (InfoObject 0CO_AREA) or company code (InfoObject 0COMP_CODE) were not loaded into the BW system, or the attributes for the controlling area are not active in the BW system.
Check whether this is the cause of the error in your BW system. Display the contents of table /bi0/mco_area or /bi0/mcomp_code using transaction se16.
Application CO:
Check whether the attributes 'fiscal year variant' (field FISCVARNT) and 'profit center local currency currency type' (field CURTP_PCA) are filled in the 'A' version (field OBJVERS) for the selected controlling area. If the fiscal year variant in the OBJVERS = 'A' is empty, then the error is with variable 0P_FVAEX. If the currency type of the profit center's local currency in OBJVERS = 'A' is empty, then the error is with variable 0P_CTPCA.
Application FI:
Check whether or not the attribute 'fiscal year variant' (field FISCVARNT) is filled in the 'A' version (field OBJVERS) for the selected controlling area. If the fiscal year variant is empty in OBJVERS= 'A', then the error is with variable 0P_FVAEX.
Procedure
Using InfoSource 0CO_AREA, load the attributes for the controlling area or company code into your BW system.
Afterwards, activate the attribute changes in your BW system. To do this, use transaction rsa1, path 'Tools > Hierarchy/Attribute changes', functions button 'InfoObject list'. Choose InfoObject 0CO_AREA or 0COMP_CODE from this list, and activate the attribute changes.

BW Master Data for Customer Exit Variable Reference

Good day Experts,
I have several queries that I would like to remove the hard coding of values on to prevent yearly maintenance. In these queries there are two conditions each condition is on different key figures that is amount by year. The query is only to report on data that for the two amounts (separated by year) is greater than the specified values. I want to change the condition so the value is no longer hard coded so the query will role automatically as the time period changes. The year amount values that the condition will need to reference are not currently stored in our BW system. I would like to create master data that is maintained directly in the BW system for the amounts that a variable for the condition in the query can then access.
I know it can be set up as master data and then referenced through a customer exit variable but when I set up the master data if I do the Amount as a key figure I cannot maintain the key figure value for the master data manually in BW, if I set the Amount up as a numeric characteristic then I canu2019t directly use a decimal. Am I missing something in the key figure setup then referencing the key figure as an attribute of the year value or do I need to do it as a characteristic and use a conversion routine or something for data manipulation?
Can someone please give me some guidance to what the best way to do this is?
The data necessary master data for storage in BW is the YEAR and a single dollar value:
For Example:
Year          Amount
2009           101.50
2008          207.80
2007          807.40

I figured out that I can use an amount in the master data and maintain the amount manually as long as I use the amount with a currency instead of setting the currency in the key figure.

Custome Exit Variable Not prepopulating Parameter of CRE Report

I am using a customer exit varibale to pre populate a parameter in a Bex query I have created. When I run the bex query the customer exit variable populates the parameter just as it is supposed to. However when I use the bex query in Crystal Reports for enterprise the customer exit variable does not pre populate the parameter. Is there something I need to do to make sure that CRE recognises the customer exit variable or does CRE not recognises them? If it doesn't recognise them is it possible to create CRE level Customer Exit Variable?

Thanks but I'm in BW so Stored procedures are not really an option on this one. I suppose my primary question is, is there a reason that Customer Exit Variable is not working as it is creating a lot of difficulties by not populating the parameters in the same way it does in the bex query I am using to develop my Crystal report.

Customer Exit Variable not working in BO-Webi Report

Hi All,
I have created a universe based on Bex Query.
Bex query consists of a customer exit variable on Calendar year/month where in it will populate current calendar year month by default while executing the query. It works fine while executing in SAP BI Bex Analyser.
I have created a universe based on the query. For Calender year/Month i got L00, L01, LOV values in universe.
Based on the universe I have created a Webi report. I did not specify calendar year/month as query filters. While directly executing the Webi report, I get the calendar year/month variable screen. But the value for it not populated based on customer Exit code written in BI.
What has to be done to get the customer exit values in variable screen.

Since you have customer exit variable in your bex query, it will be like a global filter in your universe.
Execute the webi report and check whether you are getting only current month data.

Customer Exit Variable in cell definition in BEx

I have defined a query with a Structure in Row and Key Figures in column.
The result of query should look like this:
Fiscal/Year Period | Quantity per month | Quantity cumulative
011.2010 (Variable Offset Value -3) | 5 | 5

001.2011 (Variable Offset Value -1) | 7 | 7
002.2011 (Variable Single Value, Manual Input) | 8 | 15
"Quantity cumulative" is defined as follows:
Quantity cumulative (002.2011) = Quantity 001.2011 + Quantity 002.2011
Quantity cumulative (001.2011) = Quantity 001.2011
Quantity cumulative (012.2010) = Quantity 011.2010 + Quantity 012.2010
Quantity cumulative (011.2010) = Quantity 011.2010
"Fiscal/Year Period" and "Quantity per month" are OK. But I have problem to define the key figrue "Quantity cumulative".
I have defined a Customer Exit Variable on Reference Characteristic "Fiscal/Year Period". Moreover I have also defined cell definition to define each individual cell for key figrue "Quantity cumulative" restricted by Customer Exit Variable.
The Quantity cumulative (002.2011) and Quantity cumulative (001.2011) are calculated correct. But it doesn't work for 012.2010 and 011.2010 (because of previous year).
I would be helpful if you can give some hints.

try to use this trick with an IF condition in you customer exit. Calling 'var1' the manual input of:
data: month_difference TYPE N.
month_difference = 'var1'+4(3) - 4.
IF month_difference >= 0.
DO the classic code which you have already used.
ELSE month_difference < 0.
DO the replace concatenating manually 'var1'(4) and the single month.
ENDIF.

Need for customer exit code to go to previous date

In the ODS there is a date which is a user entry on my report. I need to write a customer exit which goes to previous date.
In other words let's say user entered 07/07/07 at the user entry, and there is no activity for the entered date. The previous activity date in ODS data is 07/05/07. The report should run based on the previous date. ( Date is the key by the way )
I will appreciate any help with points,

I just wrote this quickly and I limited to 10 loops because something is wrong if it is further back than that and I think another solution should be done. This is also assuming the volume of data is not too large. If so you may want to take the year off the date and add that to the select statement.
Can the previous date be any date? So lets say the user entered 07/07/07 and the last activity was 01/01/07? Is date the only key?
If so you can do something like this.

Please let me know as to how can i derive the 1st day and last day of the fiscal week. I have the fiscal week data eg: 201004 in the cube
Also how can i derive the 1st day and last day of the fiscal year quarter. I have the fiscal quarter data eg: 20101 in the cube
any function module to get the 1st day and the last day of this week and the quarter?

Hi Mahesh,
Use Function Module WEEK_GET_FIRST_DAY to get the first day of the given week.
You can get the last day of the week by Adding 6 to it OR y using Same function module for next week and get first day of the next week. and Make it - 1.
