  • Functional module for production order operation standard values

    Hi,
    Is there any functional module/BAPI available where I can get the 'Standard Valuse' (Setup/Machine/Labor) from production order operations directly?
    Regards,

    Hi Caetano,
    Thank you for your reply.
    I checked suggested BAPI BAPI_PRODORD_GET_DETAIL, it gives me the operation details like control key, Activity name (like KMCH, KMOD) but not its standard values (values for: Setup/Machine/Labor).
    Could you please check and confirm?
    The FM: PM_ORDER_DATA_READ gives me all details but as name start with PM, I am not sure if its only related to 'Plant maintenance' orders and if its ok to use this FM for PP production orders.
    Please suggest.

  • Function modules to create the relationship for Reference Personnel IT0031

    I tried using BDC recording PA30 to create the relationship for reference personnel but it dun seems to work. Anyone knows of any standard function module to create that relationship instead.

    I have tried both and it doesnt work. The behaviour of this reference personnel number is different from the normal object relationships. Does anyone have experience using function module to create reference personnel relationship instead of giving the stand FM to create the records.

    Hi,
    one option to investigate is to select the data with a condition on KNUMV (primary IDX).
    Since shipment costs are store in VFKP I would investigate if all your F condition records are used in this table (field VFKP-KNUMV).
    If this is the case then something like
    SELECT *
    FROM KONV
    WHERE KNUMV IN (SELECT DISTINCT KNUMV FROM VFKP)
    or
    SELECT DISTINCT KNUMV
    INTO CORRESPONDING FIELD OF <itab>
    FROM VFKP
    and then
    SELECT *
    FROM KONV
    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN <itab>
    WHERE...
    will definitively speed it up.
    hope this helps....

  • Problem while creating Function module

    Hi All,
                   I created a TABLE and am using this table in a FUNCTION MODULE as a reference for declaring an internal table in TABLES tab in the function module  .
    But when i click on the table name its giving an error "TABLES parameters are obsolete! "
    Can any one figure out the reasons .....and help me out!!!
    Deepika K

    Hi Deepika,
       Tables option is said to be Obsolete because these days we use internal tables without header line...
    Tables Option in FM considers internally that the table name you mentioned is with a header line and the structure of the internal table will be acting as work area.
    It is still included in new version because for Upward compatibility...
    As we still use the predefine function modules so they should be even compatible with newer versions so its still there..
    But for normal practice it can be used but preferably not to use.. rather you use EXPORT parameter and include internal table like field...
    Create a structure first and then a Table type which include the previously defined structure in  SE11 and the assign the Table type to the field in EXPORT parameter with TYPE..
    Hope this would help u.

    Narin Nandivada.

  • Function module file_get_name

    functionality of FILE_GET_NAME.

    hi Venu,
    Check this out
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/2a/fa02b7493111d182b70000e829fbfe/content.htm
    FU FILE_GET_NAME
    Text
    Assign the Physical File Name Using a Logical File Name
    Functionality
    R/3 applications run on various platforms with various file systems. This function module enables you to use platform-independent logical file names in your application programs.
    Based on definitions maintained in customizing tables for platform-independent file names, the function module converts a logical file name to the corresponding physical file name and path for the hardware platform concerned.
    For this conversion to work for different platforms, the definition of a logical file name must include a logical file path, which in turn is converted to different physical file paths, depending on the particular platform. The platform-specific file name returned by the function module is composed of the physical file path for the current platform and the physical file name associated with the logical file name. Placeholders in physical file and path names are substituted at runtime by the corresponding current values.
    Example
    logical file name: MONTHLY_SALES_FILE
    physical file name: VALUES<PARAM_1>
    logical path: SALES_DATA_PATH
      physical path (UNIX): /usr/<SYSID>/<FILENAME>
      physical path (Windows): C:\SALES\<FILENAME>
    Example 1
    Get file name for UNIX platform
    (current system: K11)
    CALL                                                                                FUNCTION                                                                                'FILE_GET_NAME'
       EXPORTING
          LOGICAL_FILENAME = 'MONTHLY_SALES_FILE'
       IMPORTING
          FILE_NAME = FILE
          FILE_FORMAT = FORMAT.
    Result:
    FILE = /usr/K11/VALUES
    FORMAT = WK1
    Example 2
    Get file name for UNIX platform, passing a parameter
    (current system: K11)
    CALL                                                                                FUNCTION                                                                                'FILE_GET_NAME'
       EXPORTING
          LOGICAL_FILENAME = 'MONTHLY_SALES_FILE'
          PARAMETER_1 = '_TST'
       IMPORTING
          FILE_NAME = FILE
          FILE_FORMAT = FORMAT.
    Result:
    FILE = /usr/K11/VALUES_TST
    FORMAT = WK1
    Example 3
    Get file name for WINDOWS platform, with file name extension
    CALL                                                                                FUNCTION                                                                                'FILE_GET_NAME'
       EXPORTING
          LOGICAL_FILENAME = 'MONTHLY_SALES_FILE'
          WITH_FILE_EXTENSION = 'X'
       IMPORTING
          FILE_NAME = FILE
          FILE_FORMAT = FORMAT.
    Result:
    FILE = C:\SALES\VALUES.WK1
    FORMAT = WK1
    Notes
    All definitions needed for the platform-independent assignment of file names are maintained client-independently with transaction FILE. Logical file names (but not logical file paths) can also be defined specifically for the current client with transaction SF01. Transaction SF07 generates a list of current definitions.
    The following concepts are used in the platform-independent assignment of file names:
    Logical file name
    A descriptive name for a file which is associated with these values:
    physical file name
    file format
    logical file path.
    If no logical file path is specified, the function module returns the physical file name only; placeholders are substituted by current values.
    Physical file name
    The physical file name may contain placeholders.
    Logical file path
    A descriptive name for a path which is associated with these values:
    syntax groups (groups of operating systems)
    physical file paths.
    Physical file path
    The physical file path is defined for a particular syntax group. It must contain the reserved word <FILENAME> as a placeholder for the file name. It may also contain other placeholders.
    Operating system
    Presentation server and application server can run under different operating systems. The current value for the application server can be obtained from the system field SY-OPSYS, the value for the presentation server by calling function module WS_QUERY.
    Both operating systems must be defined and assigned to a syntax group.
    Syntax group
    Group of operating systems with a common syntax for file and path names (e.g. HP-UX and SINIX).
    Placeholder
    Reserved words, set in angle brackets, which can be included in physical file and path names (e.g. <DATE>, <FILENAME>). You can find information on possible reserved words in the online help (F1 help) for the fields physical file name and physical file path when maintaining platform-independent file names with transaction FILE.
    If the logical path associated with a logical file name does not specify a physical path for the current operating system (syntax group), the path stored in the profile parameter DIR_GLOBAL of the current system is used for generating a complete platform-specific file name.

  • Function Modules, for listing Cost centers Under a manager

    Hi All,
    1. Can any one please suggest me any Function Module available for listing the cost center under a manager, given only the Manager's username or pernr.
    2. And also the Function Group which has the collection of Function Modules which deals with operations and reporting on Cost centers from a Manager's Role (basically on budjet Monitoring aspects).
    Thanks and Regards,
    Girimurugan

    If this is the followup of the previous post (responsible person) and you wanted to get a list of cost centers based on that using a FM , i doubt that there is a FM available for that. You have to read the table to get the info.
    When you say manager, he could be a manager for a HR organisation but the cost organization may be different. in a typical set up it would be a cost center group (which will have set of cost centers under it) and this will be linked to a hr organization.
    All this is purely based on how cost center hierarchy (standard hierarchy) and hr organization maintained and how they are linked.

  • Besst way to find a function module

    Hi there
    I am quiet new to ABAP and I am curiouse about how to best approach the search for a function module??
    can u guys please tell me how you search for functions modules that preform a specific task.
    For example if I search for a function module that would display a itab in an alv grid, how would I do that?
    Thanks,
    Nana

    Hi Nana Lohmanns
    Generic way of Finding the function module is only to go to se37 type any combination like ALV na dpress F4.
    You will get name of function modules along with short text,then you can try the one you think as useful.
    Like when you are looking for a Function module which can perform Operation on DATE.go to SE37 Type _DATE then press F4.You will get list of Function modules like:
    <b>DATE_CHECK_PLAUSIBILITY</b>: Check to see if a date is in a valid format for SAP. Works well when validating dates being passed in from other systems.
    <b>DATE_COMPUTE_DAY</b>: Returns a number indicating what day of the week the date falls on. Monday is returned as a 1, Tuesday as 2, etc.
    <b>DATE_GET_WEEK</b> :will return the week that a date is in.
    <b>DATE_IN_FUTURE</b>: Calculate a date N days in the future.
    Visit this link also,That will also be helpful for you,to get feel of Some Common Function MOdules.

  • Reference-Problem in RFC-Function Module

    Hello,
    I am new to ABAP. As an introduction I read the book "ABAP Objects" from SAP Press.
    I need a web service which returns a before uncertain number of objects.
    First I have written a class representing my object. Then I added a new table type to the DDIC which has as "line type" simply my class as referenced type.
    Afterwards I have implemented a function module which has an export parameter with the TYPE of my table type. The whole thing works fine, if I configure the function module as a normal function module. As soon as I click on RFC, I get the error message "Reference parameters are not allowed with RFC ". However, I have already clicked "pass by value" for the export- and import-parameters. The problem seems to be the table type with my class as referenced type.
    Is the approach in general correct, to create a web service?
    How can I fix the problem with the reference?
    Best regards
    Philipp

    Ok, I understand the problem is that I can not export any reference. And therefore no objects because the declaration has to be done with TYPE REF TO...
    Can you tell me a little more detailed about the usage of the interface IF_SERIALIZABLE_OBJECT?
    Is it possible to serialize the whole internal table which has to exported?
    Would it have the same effect like a table type based on a structure with attributes like my object?
    Best regards

  • RFC Function Module - Message Reference parameters are not allowed with RFC

    Hi,
    I’ve checked the Remote-Enabled Module radio button, declared Import and Export parameters using ‘Type’ typing and checked the ‘Pass Value’ in export and import parameters but I still receive message ‘Reference parameters are not allowed with RFC’ and not able to activate the function module.
    Am I missing something?
    Regards,
    ...Naddy

    Hi all,
                   I faced the same problem and solved it ,
    You have defined a reference parameter for a remotely called
      function module. However, only value parameters are allowed
      for this type of module.
      Procedure
      Change the reference parameter to a value parameter.
    Guys  pls .don't leave the thread un-asnwered when you solved problem , post the solution it might be useful for others also.

  • Function modules for operations on Info Types

    Hi All,
      what is the difference between function modules HR_MAINTIAN_MASTERDATA and HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION ??

    Hi vijay,
    1. HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
       It is just a wrapper function module
       Inside, it finally uses
       HR_MAINTIAN_MASTERDATA  only.
       (HR_MAINTIAN_MASTERDATA  does the real work)
    2.  HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
        This FM Does some small extra things viz.
       a) check for infotype existence
       b) check the particular record
         If not found, then operation = INS (Insert)
         (This kind of facility is not available in
            HR_MAINTIAN_MASTERDATA )
    3. SAP Recommends to use  HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION .
    I hope it helps.
    regards,
    amit m.
