Functional Clarification

Hi All,
Can anybody clarify me functionally(achivement) for the following reports,
1.Vendor wise Reports for Purchase Orders/ Goods Receipt Number Overview.
2.Comparison for Vendor wise contribution reports
3.Top Selling reports and Non moving item reports
Please give me some description of these reports so that i can analyze further.

1.Vendor wise Reports for Purchase Orders/ Goods Receipt Number Overview.
This report is used to analyse the number of purchase orders that were place on a vendor and the amount/quantity of good received from him/her.
It gives you a view of your vendors delivery performance, his service level delay and his rates at a glance...
It gives you a view of pending deliveries/ goods receipts from the Vendor.
The exact information that this report would provide your enduser depends on the key figure you have decided to display to the user. Analyze your key figures and you will get your answer as to why it is being used at your client.
2.Comparison for Vendor wise contribution reports
Say if you have materials being supplied by different Vendors, then you may want to see the contribution of your different Vendors in supplying you  this material.If it is accounting view, then you may get the information of the accounts payable of these vendors and the amounts to be paid.
3.Top Selling reports and Non moving item reports
Top selling reports - As the name says, probably shows you the report of the top selling material of your company and the customers who are your priority customer . The same could be true for purchase cycle , I am not sure about the context here, but, I think you will be able to apply...
Non movers report - Tells you about the dead stock in your warehouse or the stock that is not moving from your warehouse. May be in terms of getting sold or in terms of producion team not using the material for production.

    Hello Folks,
    When assigning Partner Functions to Partner procedure, say customer master partner procedure, i cannot find a setting to make a partner function mandatory. Is there no such setting?
    There is a folder in the partner procedure customizing  called : Account groups - Function assignment. With this , does it mean the relation is partner functions are assigned to Account groups?
    So, is it right that Partner function is assigned to a partner Procedure as well as the account group?

    When assigning Partner Functions to Partner procedure, say customer master partner procedure, i cannot find a setting to make a partner function mandatory. Is there no such setting?
    Go to IMG sales and distribution/Basic functions/partner determination/set up partner determination, then you will see partner determination procedures in right column, then select any one of those and double clicking left folder which called partner functions in procedure, then you will be able to see partner functions in procedure table, if you want to set to make a partner function mandatory, then you can check mandatory function check box.

    Functional clarifications was required. For every Survey done and activity is created. Like appoinment/visit. Hence you do not get this in survey datasource but in activities datasource. 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1

  • Clarification on using function in where clause of oracle sql query

    I have an issue in regarding function using where clause of sql query..
    We are facing performance issue while executing query, so in what ways to improve the performance of the query which i have posted below.
    select col ,case when my_function(parameter)
    from tab1 a ,tab2 b,tabl3 c
    where a.column1=b.column2
    and b.column3 =c.column6
    and my_function(parameter)>0

    Dinesh,
    remind that when you use a function in the where clause it normally will get started for each record in the table.
    So your answer is two-fold:
    1. make the function only start when needed by adding a function based index on the table (this will make inserts and updates slower)
    2. make the function faster by adding the DETERMINISTIC clause if possible. this will make Oracle "cache" the result of the function.

  • Functional spec clarification

    Hello gurus,
    I need some tips in analyzing a functional spec. I really need to know what all information I definitely need to have in a functional spec so as to start writing a technical spec.
    This is how my func spec looks like:
    It has few KPI's listed.
    Empty business content section.(nothing mentioned)
    Empty Multi provider section.(nothing mentioned)
    Report properties.
    Data fields (nothing mentioned)
    columns and rows of report.
    Drill downing characteristics.
    Now my question with the above mentioned information can we call it to be a complete functional spec????  and can i start writing a technical spec???
    I am confused what all information shud a functional spec have???
    does it need to list all the technical names of the infoobjects, infocubes, ods, data sources etc needed for a data model??????
    correct me if I am wrong:
    functional spec=technical names of IO, ods, IC,etc
    Technical spec=detailed information of io, ods, ic??????? is it right????

    I have actually collected all the fields in the functional spec, and then I have searched the business content for a extract structure with those fields. But i was not able to find all the fields in a single extract structure, the fields are scattered into two to three extract structures, so how should I work it out???
    I have another question too, if I know the Technical name of a character how can i search for that in a extract structure, because in a extract structure i can only field names and the description right??? one way could be double clicking it and knowing the default name ...but is there any other option????may be a dumb question but please do help me out gurus.

    I will appreciate some clarification on the following blog that I reviewed:

    This blog seems to be suggesting that as a BI developer, you need to know the DELTA TYPEs for each datasource (selected in R3) and with that knowledge, you will be in a better position to choose Update types in ODS/DSO Overwrite or Addition, in the BW/BI environment.
    At least that is what I came up with from the review.
    1. For each datasource you activate as a BW developer in the BW environment, do you really need to go to R3 and study this datasource through the table RODELTAM to see the datasource type e.g. ABR, ABR1, etc and all the settings such as serialization =1 or 2?
    2. I thought these datasouces, e.g. 2LIS_02_HDR are SAP delivered, ready to be used, isnu2019t it?

    If you are a newbie and using it for the first time ofcourse you have to.But I would simply use RSA2 transaction than those tables.

    Datasource supports DSO/Cube, thats the whole point for determining the type of delta.

  • Clarification regading the performance of REGEXP functions

    I was asked to do a performance comparison between the REGEXP functions in perl and the one in oracle database .
    I am using Oracle 11.1.0.6 version database for the same .
    Here is the sample code that I used to replace fragements in a string with appropriate values .
    "code" is the string and I'm replacing sub-strings inside it which are wrapped within $$ symblos with the appropriate values("repl_value") from the Associative array ("name_value").

    I also coded the same in perl and for the same 100000 times it took only 20 seconds .
    I just want to know whether I have introduced any piece of code which acts as a performance bottleneck ? Let me know whether the pl/sql coding I have done is effective or not ?

    We have a xml file where these code fragments will be within the tags . I have to get these code fragments and replace the strings wrapped in $$ symbols with the appropriate object names from the staging dictionary .
    For this we are analyzing the performance using various methods and I was asked to test it in pl/sql and perl . I just created a proto-type where I am hard-coding the values in associative array and passing them to a function which replaces the fragments in the string with values of the associative array . Since the tables were present in the database I thought there would be no question about Pl/sql high performance but using regexp in perl proved to be many times faster than pl/sql .
    Thats why I just wanted to clarify if there is any performance bottlenecks in the way I have coded in pl/sql . Can someone help me regarding this ?

  • CRM2015: AD Domain Functional Levels Ambiguity - Clarification Sought

    In the Planning and Deployment guide (page 17) It states.
    The domain where the server is located must be running in one of the following Active Directory domain functional levels:
    Windows Server 2008 Modes
    Windows Server 2008 R2 Modes
    Windows Server 2012 Modes
    For more information about Active Directory domain and forest modes, see:

    Active Directory (Windows Server 2012 R2)
    Windows 2000 Server forest and domain modes are not supported with this version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
    When it states Windows Server 2008 Modes, does it mean only 2008 modes, or the modes supported by 2008. As I believe one of the 2008 Modes is 2003 Native and Interim.
    Can anybody confirm if AD controllers must be 2008 or higher to support CRM?

    I got into this research since one of the methods for data extraction from R3/ECC to BW is through Function Modules.
    Why couldn't that extraction be based on a view of the table SPFLI.
    i.e. why is this complication of writing an ABAP code to achieve something which could be done with a DB view or table?
    2.
    Any example or scenario where you think a datasource could NOT be created based on a table, Database View or Sap Query and that it must be done with a Function Module?
    3.
    So, once the function module is successfully created; how to do create a Datasource based on this function modeule to take care of the delta's on the source data?

    A DataSource could have been created directly from table SPFLI. It was used as an example in the case of the document is my guess. There are some table types, however, that you cannot create a DataSource directly off of.

    Pool/Cluster tables cannot be directly read and therefore must use a Function Module for extraction. Another reason for using a Function Module, even against a single table, is in the case that you have more than one field that you want to create a generic delta against. SAP delivers the capability in the application to set a generic delta on only one field within the DataSource. If there is more than one, say created on and changed on dates, a Function Module is require in order to enable that.
    3. So, once the function module is successfully created; how to do create a Datasource based on this function modeule to take care of the delta's on the source data?
    Go to tocde RSO2, enter the DataSource name, click on the Create button. In the next screen, there are three buttons toward the top to tell what is the source of the DataSource: 1) Extraction from View (default); 2) Extraction from Query; and 3) Extraction from Function Module. When you click on the Extraction from Function Module button, the View/Table field will gray out and the Function Module and Extraction Structure fields will un-gray.
    4. There was a discussion about "remote function call" which I did not get completely. Will extracting data from R3/ECC to BI be regarded as "remote call"
    I think that this is referring to a process whereby you create a remote-enabled Function Module on the source R3/ECC system and then create an ABAP program in BW that calls that remote-enabled Function Module. Basically, the ABAP program on BW would send some parameters through to the remote-enabled Function Module on R3/ECC. The Function Module would extract data into an internal table and then pass that internal table back through to the ABAP program in BW for further processing.

  • Need Clarification on Copy record functionality.

    I refer to the document on metalink.
    In one section it says create edit page in url and in lower section Create New is mentioned in URL.
    Also how reference is maintained as in Id that are to be manipulated.
    Can anyone throw some light?

    These instructions aren't quite complete - or at least they are inconsistent, and here's why.
    In the sample URL used under Step 2, getting the URL for the destination record - when you click edit, after the CRM On Demand instance is the extension: crmondemand.com/OnDemand/user/OpptyCreateEditPage...
    In the screen shot under step 5 note that the extension after the On Demand instance is: crmondemand.com/OnDemand/user/OpptyCreateNewPage...
    Edit vs. Create. which is it?
    Also - note in the URL that you copy over to create your destination URL, there is a specific record ID in the link, whereas the example in Step 5 shows that replaced with %%%Id%%%
    Anyone gotten this to work?

    Lane, thanks for pointing this out. The URL in the Step 5 screenshot is incorrect. The instance should be OpptyCreateEditPage. I'll get this fixed.
    I believe the specific record ID was in there as an example, and that one would have to use the record ID of the record they are concerned with. I'll see if there's a way to make this clearer.

  • Domain Guideance and Clarification using SVN and an Export suggestion

    Hello Oracle SQL Data Modeler Support,
    Apologies if this has been documented somehwere and I have missed reading it, but have gone through the User Guide and cannot find the clarification I want regarding domains.
    1) WHAT IS BEST PRACTICE TO SAVE WHEN USING SVN
    From the forum I have picked up that the domains file is in the following directory:
    ~\datamodeler\datamodeler\types
    File name is 'defaultdomains.xml'
    When I come to save the file using SVN I get 'Choose versioned folder for storing system types'
    I assume this is where the domains file is stored.
    I require the Domains to be avialable centrally to all Designs I create, what should I do?
    a) Set the folder to ~\datamodeler\datamodeler\types
    b) Create a design called 'Domains' and store it in this folder
    c) Any thing you may suggest
    2) EXPORT OF DOMAIN FILE SUGGESTION
    This should be a quick win for you, can you please add an Export Domains function, seems this needs to do no more than make a copy of the defaultdomains.xml file and create it in a specified export directory.
    Will avoid having to go through the forum to pick up that the defaultdomains.xml file needs to be copied and transfered over for new SQL Data Modeler installations.

    I require the Domains to be avialable centrally to all Designs I create, what should I do?Default location is fine if SVN is not used and if all designs are used only on that computer.
    If versioning is used then it's better to have separate directory for domains and this directory shouldn't be part of any design's directory - i.e. for designs you can have directories c:\des_1, c:\des_2 ...c:\des_n - one directory per each design and that directory will contain design DMD file and design folder. For domains you can have directory c:\DM_Sys_types and you need to set this directory in "Tools>Preferences>Data Modeler>system types directory" - logical types, RDBMS sites and scripts also will be stored there.

  • [Web Dynpro]How to add a new function in the implementation of a view?

    Hi, all,
       I'm trying to add a inputfield check method in the viewname.java , the method is used to check all the 12 inputfields in the view, at least one inputfield should be filled.(Is there any other methods I can use to do this job?)
    however, when I clicked the save meta data button, the function disappeared from the viewname.java. The import statements were still there and showed that they are never used...
       Could you please give me some hints to avoiding this?
       I want to save my function in the viewname.java.

    This way I can delare them as private methods for the class. Am I wrong in saying that anything you declare in the 'Methods' tab will be public?
    Since I'm new to WebDynpro I don't know all the best practices so any clarification here will be appreciated.

  • Search functionality no longer works in any of my recently generated HTML Help projects

    I'm using Rh 10.0.1.292 and Rh 11.0.4.291 for different projects.
    Recently, I've noticed that the Search feature returns no results, in any of my projects that are generated in either Rh10 or 11. I just get the "No topics found" message. This used to work.
    The only thing that has been done recently (that I can think of) involved working with .slp files to fix an issue with the Glossary tab and the Search functionality in a Rh 11 Responsive HTML5 layout. (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1690579) I can't, however, see how that would break the Search functionality in my HTML projects.
    Any ideas?

    In either Rh 10 and 11, whenever I generated a project as HTML Help (even an example project) the Search functionality was broken. Finally, when I couldn't think of what else to try, I uninstalled and reinstalled Rh 10, and that solved my problem--in both Rh 10 and 11!
    Apparently some file was corrupted, but I don't know what was broken or what caused the corruption. I am still trying to get some clarification from Adobe, but so far, I have only received the following comments:
    The robohelp cache folder and the preferences might have caused this.
    The problem can be either with the updates on system.
    If I should receive any definitive information, I will update this post.

  • Partner Function in Vendor Master With Internal Number Range

    I am creating vendor master record with internal no range.I wanted following clarifications.
    1.In partner function screen, I want to have same vendor no which i am creating to be assigned automatically to VN.OA PI and GS funtions at the time of its master creation.This is not happening in my case
    2.Partner function like VN,OA,PI and GS does not appear automatically whereas i have to select it manually.

    Hi,
    During defining the partner Schema, please follow the process:
    a.Create partner Schema
    b.After creation of partner Schema, select your partner Schema and click u201Cpartner roles in schemau201D and you will have next screen
    Now for Partner function like VN,OA,PI and GS as you required and select the check box of mandatory
    and save.
    Now try creating Vendor and you will have Partner function like VN,OA,PI and GS in vendor master.
    Note: The following configuration steps for Vendor master are:
    1. Create Vendor Account Group.OBD3
    2. Maintain Number Ranges from Vendor account Group:XKN1,
    3.Assignment of Number ranges to Account Group,OBAS
    4.Partner Function: SPRO->MM->Purcahsing->Partner Determination-> partner roles->Permissible partner role sper account group
    5.Partner Schema:
    SPRO->MM->Purcahsing->Partner Determination->Partner setting in Vendor master record-> Define partner Schema
    6.Assgin partner schema to accont Group
    SPRO->MM->Purcahsing->Partner Determination->Partner setting in Vendor master record-> Assgin partner schema to account Group

    I am in the MDM solution definition phase for SAP Customer Master at one of our Cients place. The requirement is to set up a central master data scenario where creation & modification of any customer record will be done via MDM. The following components of Netweaver are in the landscape - SAP MDM, EP, XI.
    I need clarification on the following points -
    -  Is it possible to set up the partner function in MDM, if so, how?
    -  Need to replicate the standard SAP functionality where the system can be configured to create Ship To, Payer, Bill To automatically when a Sold To record is created. Is this possible? Are there any work arounds?

    Partner Function comes under Condition Technique in SAP ECC.here some config has to be done.
    For mapping it in MDM, First create a Qualified Table - Partner Function.Determine the Non-Qualifiers and Qualifiers.Then as said by Suresh, u need Java API stuff to complete this task and frontend being EP.
    - Need to replicate the standard SAP functionality where the system can be configured to create Ship To, Payer, Bill To automatically when a Sold To record is created. Is this possible? Are there any work arounds?
    It can be done using EP as front end and Java API to dertermine the partner based on the account group.
