Functionality to copy SO working in quality but not in Production system -

HI Friends
I have created a ztcode which uses bapi BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 to create copies of a manually created sales order
this function was working perfectly fine as till now we only had one line item per sales order
last week we added a material which has 2 BOM items (both non stock)
We passed only the parent item into the bapi so the orders created thru the bapi had only the parent item and the child items exploded on to the order because of the BOM config already in place.
This works perfectly fine in Quality systems but failed in production
Both the systems are identical in nature in all respects visa vis transports config and system patch as well.
The BOM is maintained in CS01
both the child items are marked as Relevant for sales and BOM usage is marked as 5
I am failing to understand why it doesnt work in production
And as we have used std bapi my tech consultant has been debugging without any sucess as well
Would appreciate any thoughts on how to find a lead in solving this mystery.

Thanks for the answer ,we have reimported all the relevant transports thrice but in vain
Also the config is in place,I forgot to mention earlier that the manual order that we create which is used as a reference to create copy orders explodes the child items
So config doesnt seem to be an issue here.
The code should also be ok coz it works in quality
so we think somehow it has to do with the production system
we are clueless in what direction should we investigate

3rd party software uses BAPI to input data into SAP. This works in test but not in production. We have checked that user 3rd party software uses have same rights in both systems. BAPI is standard SAP BAPI. We can connect to production with SM59.

No. Better you check with the PATCH Levels.. etc to know is there any changes in the BAPI (BASIS people can help you) > Otherwise go to SYSTEM in the MENUBAR> STATUS--> Compare the Status there
After that check the data once...

Query running in Quality but not in Production

Hi Folks,
we are running a query AQICSDUSERS=====MOVEMENTLIST4= which used to get executed previously,but all of a sudden now after running for an hour or so it is coming back to sap easy access screen without displaying the report.It is running and giving the report in Quality but not in Production.
What could be the reason?

Remote Enabled function module of SAP working - debug mode but not run mode

Hi,
When a remote function module is called from Java a message should get thrown from the function module which the FM is throwing but Java is not able to fetch the error. This problem is coming in execution mode but if we are in debugging mode and go to the function module remotely the error is getting triggered.
Please suggest the solution to the problem.

the problem is, that JCo ABAP Exceptions are subclasses of java.lang.RuntimeException so the Java Compiler doesn't force you to catch them

JDBC Cancel works in development but not in production

I am working on a J2EE application that uses Oracle 10.2 as the database. I have a requirement to implement a cancelable query feature using the statement.cancel() function. I developed code that works against our development database instance. The code fails to work in testing on production - the query executes to completion. We use BEA Weblogic as our application server. I have checked the settings on Weblogic and am pretty sure that we are running with the same application server settings in development and production. What do I need to check on the database that might stop the cancel from running? I got a few moments of an Oracle DBAs time and he didn't see anything obvious.

Statement.cancel() sends a message to the DB and waits for a reply. If the DB is not responding, for whatever reason, then the cancel will hang until the socket read times out. I'd investigate the workload on the production database and any network/sockets.

Paste image from clipboard works in Chrome but not in Firefox

Hi there,
I would like to know a bit more about the technical reasons why image pasting from clipboard works on Chrome but not Firefox.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the text editor on github.com, e.g. by commenting on an issue
2. Copy an image to clipboard
3. Put the mouse cursor into the text editor area
4. Use CTRL+V to paste the image into the text editor
On Chrome, the image is pasted and automatically uploaded on Github. On Firefox nothing happens.
Can someone please shed light on this lacking feature?
I would so much love to see support for this on Firefox as it is a very convenient functionality.

The best is to try it yourself I guess.
Go to Github and try pasting an image into the compose editor.
The editor definitely supports image pastings. They work directly in Chrome(ium).
Thus I am wondering why Firefox does not support direct pasting from clipboard into the editor.

Medical app from Intuit works in IE, but not Firefox.

Encrypted medical app works in new IE, but not Firefox. Everything works down to the end, and click on "continue" and nothing happens. A tech and I have spent hours on this. Did not work on FF5 or 6. Did not work on old IE, but did on fresh new version with no data files copied in.

If it works in IE but not FF, then it has nothing to do with the mp3s. More likely it's because of the HTML on the page.
To start, page is missing DOCTYPE declaration... a MAJOR problem. The DOCTYPE declares which set of rules the browser will use to display the page. Without it, different browsers go crazy or do not work at all.

23" works on One but not the Other

I have a Powerbook G4 1.25 GHz running 10.3.9 connected to a similar vintage 23" clear plastic case display with a DVI to ADC adapter connection and it works great.
My husband recently bought a used Powerbook G4 1.67 GHz running 10.4.8. We thought sure that when I was out of town with my computer he could hook up and enjoy the use of my big display, but no luck. It just gives him a blank screen.
Any suggestions as to why that would be? Does his machine require a different adapter? Is it possible his port is just not functioning?

I couldn't remember what the Display Preferences had said when we tried this last spring and again in the summer, so tonight we connected it again, and wouldn't you know - it worked just fine. We didn't do anything different, so I have no clue as to why it worked this time but not before. He's thinking about getting his own big display, but didn't want to waste his money if he couldn't get it to work, so now I guess we're shopping for another 23" display - probably a used one. Specific extractor works in DEV but not in QUAL

I have new problem : I created a specific extractor ZCRM_SRV_PROCESS_I based on specific FM based on RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE.
This extractor have to retrieve specific fields of Service Order Item (linked document type BUS2000116)
In DEV it works fine for loading INIT & DELTA
In QUAL, loading INIT does not work but loading works for some records...

There is no problem of authorization. In RSA3 it's ok for some records but too long for full of records.

In line view works in 9i but not 11g

The following subset of a larger in ilne view works in 9i, but not in 11g. Any thoughts on why it doesn't work in 11g. An 'ORA-00979 : not a group by expression' message is displayed. This error message refers to the last 'group by' statement.

Fine, you shoud do do either:
- a group by "acc_total" or
- use an aggregate function on "acc_total" (like: sum(acc_total), max(acc_total) etc.)

Slide show works on PCs but not on Macs

A parent at the school where I teach has just created a
website for us. She used Dreamweaver and photoshop to create it.
There are some pages where there should be a looping slide show
(that runs on its own). These slide shows work on PCs but not on
Macs (it just stays on one photo on Macs). For the slide show she
"just added a timeline to the jpg image, changing the imagesource
every 60 frames, that you can do in dreamweaver." Is there some way
to fix this so it works on both?

Unfortunately, the timeline function may not be the best way
to do this.
Notwithstanding Joe's comments about 508 compliance, there
have been issues
reported in the past regarding the use of timelines on Macs.
It may be
better to seek some 'banner rotation' scripts using Google,
and replace the
timelines with that script. Your volunteer may or may not
know how to do
that....

Published interactive project works in IE but not in Chrome???

My buttons and interactions are working through an Internet Explorer browser, but loose their functionality when play via Chrome. Anyone have any ideas?

Web sites containing mms links work in IE but not Firefox 4.0

Web sites containing mms links work in IE but not Firefox 4.0. when I play the video in IE, I go into IE, and locate the mms link under properties, when I right click. If I copy the mms link form IE directly into firefox, it will work. There ought to be a better way to do this. Also, I am using a hardware firewall, not a software firewall, and no proxy.

You need to use the file:// protocol, but you may still encounter problems if you fix that.

SanDisk ImageMate works on Vista, but not on Leopard

I bought an iMac when my old Windows XP machine from Dell died last Christmas, and am mostly very pleased with it. I used Boot Camp to install Vista Home Basic on it also, because I still needed to run some Windows software.
I recently acquired a digital camera from my daughter, along with a SmartMedia card reader by SanDisk (model SDDR-55 ImageMate). On the SanDisk website I found a driver for Windows that would work for 95, 98, ME, 2000, and XP. I downloaded it after not finding one for Vista listed. Similarly, there was a driver that would work for Macintosh OSX and OS 10.1. I downloaded it after not finding one specifically for Leopard.
I installed both drivers under their appropriate OSes and plugged the ImageMate into a USB port on the computer. What I found was that it worked fine under Vista but was not recognized at all by Leopard. I contacted SanDisk and they had me verify that it was not a problem with the USB port. Also, they had me try to install it on another Mac (my daughter has a Mac laptop running Leopard) and it didn't work there either. So I know the ImageMate works and the USB port works.
SanDisk then suggested I contact Apple. Is there anything I can do to get the ImageMate working on Leopard?
One thing I noticed was that when I ran Terminal and went to /System/Library/Extensions and looked at a couple of files created during the install on the Mac, the owner and group were different from all the other files, so I made them match the others thinking file ownership might be the problem. Alas, it was not. (I did the install while logged in as admin.)
Can anybody point me in the direction of what to do next?

Many thanks to both of you for responding. My guess is that my ImageMate is getting old and SanDisk isn't going to help support it. I'm sure they'd rather I replace it by buying one of their newer models.
One of my lesser attractive qualities is that I am cheap, and hate to throw away anything that still works. Since this little doobie still does (under Vista), I'll probably limp along with it there until I can't stand it anymore and buy a new one. I appreciate learning that some require drivers and some don't: that will help when it comes time to buy a replacement.
Neither here nor there, but this is the 2nd device I've had difficulty with getting to work on Leopard but not on Vista (the other being my HP PSC 1315xi printer/scanner/copier).

I am not sure...but have you heard that NS 6/Mozilla are use based on standards. So they dod not support some of the proprietary JS/CSS/Misc functionality of IE or NS 4.0+ versions. You can read more about the JavaScript differences on Netscape's NS6 evangism site. Maybe you are missing something. I think I remember reading something about getElementByID/Name ...
