GD library for php

I want to install GD library on my mac, and I guess it is not so straightforward.
What's the easiest way to do it ?
Should I re-compile all php library ? Or can I easily add it ?

Missing GD Library for PHP on SJS 7
What do I need to do to enable the GD module for the PHP Add-On build for SJS 7? I am trying to install the latest Drupal build on my server and it keeps complaining that the GD module is not part of the current PHP build.
I looked over the 'Using PHP on Sun Java System Web Server' document, but it doesn't say if I need to download the latest PHP build and compile it myself to include or or if there is a flag I can enable someplace. I considered downloading the latest PHP build and compiling it, but it's configuration is showing there are several libraries that aren't installed on my server that even relate to the SJS PHP add-on build.
Also, what php.ini file is the SJS build using actively? Via a quick phpinfo.php file, I saw this line:
Configuration File (php.ini) Path /java/re/phppack/5.2.0/nightly/ws/b01-2007-01-29/linux-i586/dist/5.2.0/Linux2.4_OPT.OBJ/php/lib/
But that path isn't anywhere on my server environment, so I am guessing it is a part of the phppack-5_2_0-linux-i586.zip buildout.

Web Server 7 PHP Add-on plugin was released with more focus towards allowing multi platform support . Hence, it is possible that some popular extensions are left out. However, this need not stop you from compiling php by yourself . If you are compiling PHP by yourself, you need to remember to compile with the following flags
You can compile php by yourself on your machine by doing this following
- download php from php.net
- unzip the tar ball
- configure and compile as follows
./configure
--with-prefix=<ws7-install-root>/plugins/php

As the title says, I am wondering if Adobe provides a PHP library for dynamically generating a non-editable PDF for my company website. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!
By non-editable I assume you simply mean "with password security set" and understand the serious limitations of this.
While Adobe doesn't offer PHP it offers several server options
- LiveCycle PDF Generator. Java API and watched folder. Convert file types to PDF. Security can be set, but perhaps only globally.
- Adobe PDF LIbrary. For experienced C/C++ programmers. Licensed by DataLogics. -
Error while installing flash builder 4.5 for php
Hello to all.
Im having a problem while trying to install the flash builder 4.5 for php.... it keeps saying that i have the zend installed in my computer! but i have not... i just have buyed this computer... and it keeps saying that i have the zend installed....
can someone please help me? I just wanna use this freaking tool!!! =D

How to activate completion for PHP in TextMate or BBEDIT?
Hi, I plan to use TEXTMATE or BBEDIT to program with PHP but I don't know how to install the Bundle or the plug-in for PHP Completion. I downloaded the plug-in PHPCodecompletion.tmbu and zipped it into user/library/application support/textMate/Bundles. I don't know how it works for BBedit.
The question is: how to activate completion for PHP in TextMate or BBEDIT?

Should I remove the old versions (not used here) of ntwdblib.dll?The flavor of the Microsoft SQL Server Driver for PHP that you enabled in the php.ini file is the Thread Safe VC6 version. Therefore, you’ll need to install the appropriate version of PHP run-time (i.e. VC6 x86 Thread Safe) from http://windows.php.net/download/.
When installing PHP, you should select the IIS/FastCGI option, and then establish a mapping between IIS and php-cgi.exe. In other words, your IIS configuration should point to the PHP CGI executable and not php5.dll that happens to be the Non Thread-Safe PHP run-time.
Moreover, the library ntwdblib.dll is not needed anymore.
On final note: it might be worth upgrading your IIS to at least version 6.0 that was optimized for FastCGI usage.

Deletion of Flash Builder 4.5 when installing Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP
There is a very serious error with the Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP installer (from http://static.zend.com/topics/Flash-Builder-for-PHP-4.5.0-Release-Notes.txt ):
If Flash Builder 4.5 (not PHP) is already installed on the machine, and the
product (Flash Builder for PHP 4.5) is then installed in a different location,
the user gets the "FB is installed" dialog.
After clicking OK, the installation rolls back and removes both Flash Builder
and Flash Builder for PHP.
My questions:
Can Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP be installed in the same location without deleting Flash Builder 4.5? If so, please define "location."
Is there a workaround for installing both flavors of Flash Builder 4.5 and avoiding the deletion issue described above?
Can a single do-it-all version of Flash Builder 4.5 be installed that combines the SDKs and features of both flavors of the Flash Builder 4.5 product?Hi Mike,

I'm using iTunes 9.0.3 on OS X 10.6.2. On this system, there are TWO users, one for my wife, one for me. I'd like to "merge" the seperate iTunes libraries, so that there's only one shared library for all users.
How could this be achieved?
Searching the web, I found a writeup on [dougscripts.com by Paul Whitey|http://dougscripts.com/itunes/itinfo/sharedlib.php], which basically explains to move ~/Music/iTunes to /Users/Shared/iTunes and making sure that there's an alias in ~/Music pointing to /Users/Shared/iTunes. It also explains, that the ownership of the files & folders is to be changed so, that all users have read & write access. This then looks like this on my system:

That's from files which sandra or alex have added later on. Only the one who added these files can modify them (which is of course correct, if you have a look at the file permissions).
How would you go about having only ONE iTunes database on the system? Simply putting the iTunes Db on a shared folder doesn't work well, as can be seen above. Always having to fiddle around with the file permissions isn't exactly comfortable…
Any suggestions?

Since I cannot know how/if would work (because of the crash…), please correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it also just move the files to /Users/Shared and set permissions correctly? Wouldn't I need to keep on running PowerTunes from time to time, or is it "run once and forget" application (if it works)? -

According to the log file, the service proxy generation failed, since the command execution for calling the OData SDK proxy generation was failed.
As a first step I would suggest verifying that the PHP server is properly configured with the OData SDK library (as explained in the SDK's user guide).
There is also an explanation in our documentation troubleshooting section (PHP Toolkit Troubleshooting - Proxy Generation Failed).
Then a PHP proxy can be generated for the service using our PHP plugin, as a simple check that the problem was solved.
If the problem continues, I would suggest saving the service metadata into a local xml file and try executing the proxy generation command directly (using command-line):
C:\xampp\php\php C:\OData_PHP_SDK\framework\PHPDataSvcUtil.php /metadata=<Absolute-Path-To-Metadata-XML-File> /out=<Absolute-Path-To-Desired-PHP-Output-File>
The command output printed to console may help us understanding more regarding what causes the problem.

If you have trouble having the download dialog box open like I did, just right click on the Download File and save as.
I had over a dozen websites developed with ADDT and this patched fix all my PHP 5.3 issues.
I simply uploaded and replaced the 18 files that come in the patched zip.

When installing PHP, you should select the IIS/FastCGI option, and then establish a mapping between IIS and php-cgi.exe. In other words, your IIS configuration should point to the PHP CGI executable and not php5.dll that happens to be the Non Thread-Safe PHP run-time.
Moreover, the library ntwdblib.dll is not needed anymore.
On final note: it might be worth upgrading your IIS to at least version 6.0 that was optimized for FastCGI usage.

Removed configure output from previous command.Thanks for the reply, I tried what you suggested and got an error about iostream.h no such file or directory. I did some reading and saw some suggestions that I needed to pass the --enable-cxx flag when doing the main build, so I redid that. I'm not even sure if that was necessary, but I got the dba module to build. How do I build dbxml.so though? I'm not sure what arguments to pass to configure. Do I use with-dbxml, prefix? When I run make I keep getting a no such file or directory error, unable to find ext/db4/php_db4.h I think.
I extracted db-xml-2.5.16.tar.gz ahd PHP 5.3.15 (tar.gz) into $HOME/tmp. I installed PHP 5.3.15 into $HOME/php5314 (made a mistake with the numbers there).
These are the steps I followed:

andiehSince the screen is reverse, there's a custom class in this to do reversals, which works. But, only if the image fits on the screen. It should trim the image, but instead throws an error if the image is larger.
Some work arounds are to set the screen to xor and use the standard colormap classes. I've tested that and it works well.
I've tried to contact the original author, but haven't gotten any response. I'll put the revised code up somewhere. -
[SOLVED] How to install Image magick extension for php?
As in topic, how to install imagick extension for php (xampp)? I tried with pecl, i installed pear first and imagick with "pecl install imagick". I added extension to php.ini file (/opt/lampp/etc/php.ini) but when i try to start xampp, i get error:

Edit: problem solved, i made a mistake adding "imagic.so" in php.ini instead of "imagick.so".
