Generated WS client is unable to unmarshal returned object array

Hello,
I have created web service using Sun jaxws implementation. Several methods of this ws return object array (CustomObj []). When I generate the client (using jaxws-maven-plugin - wsimport) and call these methods I always get
empty array. I get no errors or warnings. When I generate axis client all works as expected. I think that this issue is related to jaxb but i have tried to switch between several versions ant this didn't help. CustomObj is very simple object with two attributes name and value...

Hi Shepy,
I think mapping an array of objects as response in WSDL messages is somewhat of an issue.
Instead try moving this array of object into another XSD if i assume you are using XSDs and then make sure that response XSD holds and array of your objects.

Client Install Fails - Unable to get Win32_OperatingSystem object

I have a PC that won't install the SCCM client via Client Push. In the CCM.Log file on the site server, it connects to the IPC$ and admin$ shares using my client installation account, but then it comes back with this error:
---> Unable to get Win32_OperatingSystem object from WMI on remote machine "PCNAME", error = 0x80080005.
I know that error means that access was denied to WMI, and I verified that when I run wbemtest manually (using the same client installation account), I can connect to the root\cimv2 object on that PC but when I try to enumerate the instances of the Win32_OperatingSystem object, I get the same error.
I also tried using Computer Management applet (remotely - I have no local access to this PC) to look at the WMI Control properties. Again, I get the same access denied error so I can't check/change the security permissions that way.
I have verified that my client installation account is in the local Administrators group of the PC. I've already tried rebuilding the WMI repository - that worked but it didn't fix the access issue. I know I can install the client manually but I'm guessing I'd still have a problem with inventories, etc. that are dependent on access to that WMI object. Any suggestions about how to go about fixing the WMI access issue?

Finally getting back to this issue after vacaton... sigh.
I got a little further. I took client push out of the mix and ran ccmsetup.exe locally on the PC. This time the client installation ran. However, I'm still getting a similar error from the client itself and the client is not talking to the site. After the client was installed, only about 10 of the log files showed up in system32\ccm\logs.
ccmexec.log shows this error:
Endpoint'PolicyAgent_PolicyEvaluator' return 0x80070057 from event notification
PolicyAgentProvider.log has these lines repeating:

The rest of the logs that exist (LocationServices, StatusAgent, ClientLocation, RemCtrl, and setuppolicyevaluator) appear to be OK.
These seem to all be WMI-related errors/issues, but I can't find any specific information on any SCCM/SMS websites/forums that address these particular errors in these particular log files. I've tried rebuilding the repository (several times), I've done the regsvr stuff as discussed above, etc.
I ran WMIDIAG next. It ran for a little less than two hours - not sure if that's normal or not, but the log file continued to update the entire time. Now I have this log file and I'm not sure what to do with the issues I found. I'm looking at the WMI REPORT: BEGIN section... I see instructions that make sense for most of the errors. However, the section of log file below shows the area that is most likely causing issues for SCCM because it is the same error I get on the client install. I have no idea how to fix this stuff - any help would be appreciated:

Java.rmi.UnmarshalException: Error unmarshaling return header

We are running an RMI server instance to serve data ( from memory) to clients. It works fine if fewer number of inquiries goes in. But when the number of inquiries are larger, I am getting some exceptions at the client side. The server crashes without throwing any exceptions. Following are the exceptions received at client side:

The period of time, the server keeps on running (before it crashes) is also not the same. Sometimes it works fine without any problem. But most of the time the server crashes after processing some records.

Wscompile does not seem to be generating a client stub

When I run the wscompile tool on a WSDL file generated using gSoap the wscompile tool does not generate the client stub. Instead it reports the following errors:

Using JarSettings to generate EJB client jar, but supported classes missed

Appreciated for any comments in advance.
I am using @jarSetting to generate EJB client jar file from workshop 9.2. The remote method of EJB has one input parameter that is defined as an interface. The interface is included in client jar, but the implementation of this interface is not.
Please advise how I can add the implementation of this interface to client jar?

Hi James,
I believe the algorithm for creating the client jar is to simply inspect the EJB interfaces using reflection and to include all user defined classes and exceptions that are referenced by the interfaces. In your case, it sounds like a class is not being included because it is not directly referenced by one of the EJB interfaces.
I think the client jar creation algorithm can be described as "best effort" and unfortunately, it does not always end up including all classes needed by the client. I would recommend you add the additional classes manually using the jar tool.

Can we stop the server from generating a client jar

When an EAR module is deployed, the server generates a large (a few MB) client jar inside the deployment directory. AFAIK this jar is never used for anything unless you have ACC clients. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
Recently, we've had some worrying exceptions logged, indicating that there is a problem reading this client jar, and the context indicates that the server is attempting to set up a class loader for it. Everything works fine anyway.
We have a few hundred EAR's deployed in each of our servers, and the EAR's contain on avarage about 30-40 entity beans, so you can imagine that we worry about every unnecessary resource allocation.
Also, every exception logged requires attention from the admins so we would really like to get rid of these jars if we can, and if they are in fact unnecessary.

You are correct that the generated jar is for launching clients using ACC. (Historically some users have taken the generated app client jar and added it to the classpath for non-ACC clients, but this is not an officially supported use of it.)
You said that recently exceptions have been reported, which I assume means that this was not always true. It would seem that something in the environment or the applications has changed to trigger the exceptions. Identifying whatever that change has been might help identify the root cause of the new problem. Have you changed anything in the environment or the applications around the time the exceptions began appearing?
Can you post an example of one of the exceptions you are concerned about?
Also, what version of the product are you using?

Unable to post return delivery whne the input material is batch managed

This is caused due to some technical restrictions in QM.
When the reverse movement is being posted through QM process, the goods movement is being created in the background and it is being posted without reference to a existing material document. That is the system behaves as if you create a return delivery via MB01. In this case, the system cannot determine the batch number. As the reverse is created in the background and the components are determined internally and the batch cannot be passed over from the QM transaction. To prevent postings and avoid unnecessary inconsistencies in stocks,system will issue the error message.
Workaround:
The message M7389 is configurable. Hence please check in transcation OMCQ and set this as warning message. This would allow you to post the return delivery, But the problem is the batch nubmer would be wrong. So, You can define the corret batch number in the user-ext MBCFC010, it's MM related, You'd better to work with your MM colleagues.

For the public WLAN, what is 10.1.1.1? Is it a real DHCP server, is it a FW? If it's a FW, then you'll need to disable dhcp proxy:
CLI config dhcp proxy disable
GUI Controller > Advanced > DHCp, and uncheck the box for proxy.
As for all of your other SSID, they are all pointd at the management interface. Double check the WLAN config, and point them to the interface you want the user to get an IP address in.

Unknown namespace error when generating a client proxy

We are using WAS 7.0 and I'm trying to generate a client proxy for an inhouse webservice via Object Navigator (SE80). When using the Wizard I get an error message from the Librabry Handler saying: "Unknown namespace: http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding".
A check by the colleagues who provide this Webservice says that the wsdl is ok.
Any idea for this error message?

Hi Michael,
the use of soapenc:Array is not supported. There are other ways to declare arrays:
-In a DESCRIPTION, array declarations MUST NOT extend or restrict the soapenc:Array type.
-In a DESCRIPTION, array declarations MUST NOT use wsdl:arrayType attribute in the type declaration.
-In a DESCRIPTION, array declaration wrapper elements SHOULD NOT be named using the convention ArrayOfXXX.
-A MESSAGE containing serialized arrays MUST NOT include the soapenc:arrayType attribute.
So you need to copy the WSDL file to a local file and edit it, afterwards, use it to generate the proxy.

Generate Ejb client Jar

Hi,
I m working with Jdeveloper 10G and oracle 9IAS 9.0.3.
I ve deployed an Ejb module on 9IAS
I m now wondering how generate the EJB client jar (Stubs and interfaces )to access my EJB module from anywhere.
Any Idea?

I found the answer.
specify the client jar name in the jar settings and the workshop will generate the client jar for you.
inlcude the client jar and the wlclient.jar in the remote client application.

Getting unmarshaling return; nested exception when running application.

I am getting the following error after login to my EJB based web application which has been deployed in weblogic 8.1 server.
cannot unmarshaling return; nested exception is:
java.io.InvalidClassException: local class incompatible: stream classdesc serialVersionUID = 1576396055896079162, local class serialVersionUID = 3218807580895902362
Can anyone please help me to findout the solution for this problem.

Usually, when you get NoSuchMethod exceptions, there are two possible causes:
1. You are using reflection to try to find a method that doesn't exist -- perhaps there's a typo, or you don't have the correct version of the class
2. You compiled your class against a different version of the dependency class than your virtual machine has loaded, and the method doesn't exist in the loaded version.
Chances are, you haven't told the servlet engine you are using about the newer version of some library or other that you are using, so it's still loading up an older one.

sapinstGUI cannnot connect to sapinst.

netstat -a reveals no lines anymore for the ports.
NOTE... when I start sapinst <b>with</b> GUI then the same sequence of messages.
BUT even after the sapinst is terminated netstat -a shows

TCP    amms:1231              amms:21200             ESTABLISHED

Try to run sapinst from command line with parameter SAPINST_START_GUI set to true
(e.g. sapinst "SAPINST_START_GUI=true").
With sapinst -p you will get all possible parameters of sapinst (often usefull e.g. if you need to change port and don't know how).
