Generating page URLs
Hi all,
I am developing an application containing multiple pages. Each page contains multiple iviews. I want to have a form on Page1 whose submit action should take user to Page2. How to generate url to Page2 at runtime?
Can i create such URL in java code for storing it in request?
Hi,
To know how you can navigate to portal pages, check this:
Javascript + EPCM

Generate page URL via pl/sql
Hi, there is some way to get the page url via pl/sql?
I need to create a site map and i'm using the WWSBR_ALL_FOLDERS, but the URL_value is all null.Bill,
You would typically get the URL of the page object which contains the portlets. To get to the page you can use the Direct Access URL which is
http://<hostname>.domain:port/pls/portal/url/page/<page group name>/<page name>

How to generate a URL to specific record in OAF page?
Hi,
I need to generate URL to a specific page with populated record data.
I've tried using FND_RUN_FUNCTION.get_run_function_url, but i don't know if this is a good method for OAF page.
The page is opening but record is not populated.
This package generates URL like /RF.jsp?function_id=?....
The OAF pages have URLs like /OA.jsp?page=...
Is there any way I can generate this URL?Hi
Use this code to upload the file in the server and there by get the absolete path
public void onActionUpload_File_in_Server(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent )
//@@begin onActionUpload_File_in_Server(ServerEvent)
InputStream text=null;
int temp=0;
try
File file = new File(wdContext.currentContextElement().getFileResource().getResourceName().toString());
FileOutputStream op = new FileOutputStream(file);
if(wdContext.currentContextElement().getFileResource()!=null)
text=wdContext.currentContextElement().getFileResource().read(false);
while((temp=text.read())!=-1)
op.write(temp);
op.flush();
op.close();
path = file.getAbsolutePath();
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(path);
catch(Exception e)
e.printStackTrace();

I have a list of page URLs - I want a report showing their SiteCatalyst Page Names
I have a list of page URLs and I want to generate their respective page names. Is this possible? I have access to SiteCatalyst 15 and Discover 3.1.
I want to end up with this table:
Page URL
Page Name
www.example.com/page1
Page 1
www.example.com/page2
Page 2You want to do this within CQ ? If yes then you can use pagemanager API to get page http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/javadoc/com/day/cq/wcm/api/Page.html#getName() name and JCR API to get path http://www.day.com/maven/javax.jcr/javadocs/jcr-2.0/javax/jcr/Item.html#getPath()
To get absolute URL you can also use externilizer service http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/javadoc/com/day/cq/commons/Externalizer.html#absolut eLink(org.apache.sling.api.SlingHttpServletRequest, java.lang.String, java.lang.String)

Hi,
I've done my interactive form using Adobe Lifecycle, and created a callable object. But when i go under the Object definition tab to generate instantiate URL, and then paste it at the internet explorer.
Generated Url: http://L31019:53000/gpcore/coexec/8C1FA1000B8211DDA257001871691B82/0/2
But it shows nothing when i paste it at the internet explorer. The port is not the port i using, so i changed it to the port i'm using but it shows the error below:

FuzhenHi,
From external you only need TCP 443 and UDP 3391 forwarded to your RD Gateway server. You
do not need TCP 3389 or 445 so I recommend you close those ports immediately on your external firewall to avoid problems. If you plan to use HTTP redirection then you can go ahead and open TCP port 80 for
RDWeb, otherwise you should close port 80 as well.
In your RDS Deployment Properties, RD Gateway tab, you should have Use these RD Gateway server settings selected with the public FQDN of your RDG specified, which in your case is the same public FQDN that you are using for RDWeb since
they are on the same server.
After making the above changes, please refresh your RD Web page and test by launching a RemoteApp from an external PC. When launching a RemoteApp you should see a prompt with the Gateway server shown, which should be the FQDN as you specified in deployment
properties. Also on the prompt it should show the FQDN for Remote computer: which should be the FQDN for your broker which in your case can be the same as your RDG. This FQDN should resolve on your private LAN to the private ip address of your
RDCB/RDG/RDWeb server.
Thanks.

Trouble generating administrative URL.
We are using the code samples to generate the URL for access to iTunes.
Here is the URL generated by the C# code we adapted:
https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/Browse/mdc.edu.42credentials=Admini strator%40urn%3Amace%3Aitunesu.com%3Asites%3Amdc.edu&time=1162997978&signature=2 CF0C0613CA70B3D342B6D80D42EF3B085EFB3458F1E0961CAD312BB5BCE3E2F
From what we can tell, it is well formed. We are using the example provided in the iTunes U Administrator's Guide, page 21.
https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/Browse/Example.edu.42
credentials=Administrator%40urn%3Amace%3Aitunesu.com%3Asites%3Aexamp
le.edu&identity=%22JaneDoe%22+%3Cjanedoe%40example.edu%3E%28jdoe%2

77997dd8aa96649366c5fc59104074744
One difference is the "Identity" parameter... what (if anything) would we use in this instance?
Here's the message we're getting:
Not Found
The requested URL /WebObjects/Core.woa/Browse/mdc.edu.42credentials=Administrator%40urn%3Amace%3A itunesu.com%3Asites%3Amdc.edu&time=1162997978&signature=2CF0C0613CA70B3D342B6D80 D42EF3B085EFB3458F1E0961CAD312BB5BCE3E was not found on this server.
Any ideas on where we should start troubleshooting?
Thanks.
Windows 2000A couple of things:
1. Try appedning the debug string that Apple sent you with your site admin credentials. It is of the form "abc123". Just have your code stick it in right after the site URL ... that is just after "...Core.woa/Brwose/mdc.edu" (so you'd have "...Core.woa/Browse/mdc.edu/abc123?credentials..."). Last time I read Apple's iTunes U documentation, it didn't say explicitly how to use the string, but that's what you need to do. When you send a URL like that, Apple will show you a page that says how it is interpreting your iTunes U URL. This page is very helpful in determining what's wrong with your URL.
2. When I was working on our site, I would compare what my code generated with what Apple's code generated (credentials that are generated within a ninety second time frame are usually the same). I got so frustrated doin this that I decided to create an app that would make it simpler. If you would like to try out my code, it is here:
http://itunes.uic.edu/itunesuaccess.html
This code generates a URL using the C code Apple provided (so it produces the same URL as Apple's shell script does ... because the shell script requires that you compile the C code in Apple's examples).
Hope this helps.

What is the best way to auto-generate pages at an interval?
In order to minimize the server's workload we're exploring
ways of auto-
generating pages that have dynamic content throughout our
website.
I know we could use CFSCHEDULE and have it make an
HTTPRequest as its
operation to read the dynamic page then use output to write
the resultant
page. However, if an error occurs during the request, the
result is can be a
blank file.
So would it be a better approach to use CFSCHEDULE to run a
page that would
have the error checking using CFTRY and CFCatch, and as a
result, have a
go/no-go in terms of overwriting the previous successful
version of the file
via cffile?
Does anyone have an example of such a system that would keep
me from re-
inventing the wheel?

i have a "refresh" page for monitoring updates on a client
site... the only issue is that this page must be kept open but it
does goes thru numerous data sources and updates any pages as
needed.
nice thing is that you can keep a running track of generated
content (with links) and check for errors, etc...
basically page has line
<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH"
CONTENT="900;URL=home.cfm?pdg=1&pdgg=1&pncom=1&dtst=1">
the 900 is seconds (15min) and it just calls itself each
time. page has all functions and reporting written in
maybe will work your requirements. rest is just tags to
trigger queries, etc and keep out the nosy. -

How to get page URL in a dynamic page in 10.1.4?
Does anyone know how to get the page URL in a Dynamic Page in 10.1.4 without using javascript.
I know that you can use a PL/SQL portlet and the portlet_record, but this is specifically for a Dynamic Page.
Regards
JennyHi,
I am trying the suggested approach in 10.1.4 but unfortunatley I get the following error:
PLS-00302: component 'SHOW_INTERNAL' must be declared
In my Dynamic Page I have the following code
htp.p(cms_context.urlpage);
In the '... before displaying the page' I have the following
schema_name.cms_context.urlpage := schema_name.dynamic_page_name.show_internal.p_page_url;
Can anyone help?
Cheers

How to get Page URL inside a JSR168 Portlet
Hi,
How can i get the Portal's page URL inside a JSR168 Portlet?
All I can see in renderRequest Object is information about the portlet itself not about the page it is inside.
Thanks,

Invoking a page url from page1 in book1 to page2 in book2
Hi,
My need is to invoke a portal page url form a portal page. This works fine when
the first page and the second one are part of the same book.
But when the first page is in a first book and the second one in another book,
the portal framework is enable to retrieve the second page.
It seems that in that case, the framework is looking for the second page in the
first book. Therefore it does not find it and load the default page for the current
book.
The problem may be that page labels can be identical while they are not in sames
books and then the framework need an active book as context path ?
Is it possible to programmatically change the active book?
For our project we developed a tree component that enabled expanding a node without
http call. That tree is involved in the portal app navigation and invokes pages
url. It works fine while pages navigations are in the current book.We did not find any solution,
Finally We decided to enable our tree menu to expand a folder only if it's part
of the active book.
Perhaps you could solve your problem with the setActive() method of the
com.bea.netuix.servlets.controls.page.PageBackingContext class ?

Olivier,
we also hit this problem. It looks like a limitation of the product.
I tried several things. For example, using a backing file on the page
to
'bring to the front' all the parent of the page I want to activate.
But so far nothing worked.
I would be very interested if you find a solution.

Olivier,
The page change mechanism in the framework expects that the page labels
are unique in the portal tree. So, for page change to work correctly,
please make sure that you've no duplicates.

How to generate wsdl url in Siebel 8.1
Dear Gurus,
Please help, how to generate wsdl url from inbound web services in Siebel 8.1
Regards,
EldinHi Raj,
I've tried, this url did'nt recognize as a web service.
For example, in Oracle E-Business Suite ( Integration Repository ) there's a button to generate wsdl url. The wsdl url is http://servername/webservice/pls/test?WSDL.
So is it possible we generate wsdl url like in E-Business Suite ? Or there's something we need to configure so Siebel wsdl url will recognize as web service in E-Business Suite.
Thanks for your response. -
How to get the current page URL
HI All
I am working in oracle apps 4.0
I have one page called history in that i have one page item called Application url. My application id is 122 but its a copy of application 106
How to get the current page url for the page item.
Any steps should be help ful
Thanks & Regards
Srikkanth.MI'm not 100% clear on what the requirement is from the description, however it does sound like you are making things unnecessarily complicated.
If you want permanent/ID-independent links then use application and page aliases.
so here we used to display the url like this: <tt>{noformat}http://81.131.254.171:8080/apex/f?p=122{noformat}</tt>
Do you mean that the URL is displayed like that? If so that doesn't seem particularly helpful. How is anyone supposed to know what it is?
There are many ways to provide links in APEX—including lists and nav bars.
Where the link is to another resource located on the same server (such as another page in the same app, or a different app in the workspace), relative addressing can be used, making it unecessary to include scheme, domain and port information in the URL. For example, if the page to be linked to has a page alias <tt>ABOUT</tt> in an application with alias <tt>UNITY</tt>, and the apps share an authentication scheme/cookie to permit shared sessions, then the link URL is simply
f?p=UNITY:ABOUT:&APP_SESSION.
