Generating Reports after Updates are Deployed

I've recently set up SCCM 2012 R2 in our environment and I'm having some trouble getting a handle on when updates are being deployed to different groups.  What I would *like* to do is have the system generate a report (or at least an alert) and email
me whenever updates are being pushed out.  I can't believe that in a system as comprehensive as SCCM there is no capability for this, but I just can't seem to find it anywhere.  
Internet searching has produced lots of guides showing how to enable alerts in general (already done) and how to get alerts when deployments fall below a certain percentage of success.  But at this point I really just need to get to know exactly what
is happening in my environment and when, so I'd love to get tons of alerts if possible as things are happening.
Apologies if this question has been asked already.  I wasn't able to find it anywhere in these forums.

If that's the case, then what is the generally accepted method of keeping track of what updates are deployed via ADR's?  For example user X calls up reporting that his laptop is requesting a reboot after updates have been installed.  This is currently
my only notification that SCCM has pushed out updates.  It would be preferable if perhaps a report was generated when an update group was updated and the system began deploying them to clients.
Alternatively, is there a report of some kind that would show the last updates added to a Software Update Group?  If so perhaps I could schedule that report to run on a regular basis.  That would at least give me a bit of a head's up that updates
are going out to clients.

    Still not able to generate Reports.

    Reports were working fine and we are able to generate reports at configured views in 8.1.1.1 version.
    After installing 8.1.1.3 patch, if we click on reports icon below is the error message displayed.
    An error has occurred creating business component '<?>' used by business object '<?>'.
    Please ask your systems administrator to check your application configuration. (SBL-DAT-00222).
    - is it mandatory to configure security model?(in 8.1.1.1 we used default security model)?
    -is it necessary to import BIPDataService and BIPSiebelSecurityWS inbound Web Services?
    - I didn't see below views as mentioned in bookshelf.
    . Reports - Custom Templates
    . Reports - Standard Templates?

  • MDB TimerManager Error after updating a deployment

    We are running weblogic 10.3
    After updating a deployment, our app is consistently getting the following error:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Existing timer manager has different work manager.
    TimerManager requested: JMSPoller-TestMessageBean
    When we perform the update, we first stop the deployment (selecting when work completes) - then update the deployment.
    The only way to clear the error is to bounce the server - which we can't always do without interrupting other applications.
    We have not configured any special workManagers - the weblogic configuration is quite vanilla.

    </t:selectOneMenu>What is the type of departmentId ? If it is not a String, then try making it a String and see if the issue is resolved. I am not sure if this will help you. But its worth a try.

    My MacBook (Santa Rosa model) cannot seem to run any applications with out having them freeze every few clicks. It happened after updating from 10.5 to 10.5.6, with quite a few other updates installed at the same time as well. This happens to pretty much every application I run. What should I do?

    Try downloading the Mac OS X 10.5.6 combo updater and install it.

  • Inapropriate apps appear after updates are done

    I need help! I was looking through my son's (11) iPod touch recently and there were apps on there that were not purchased. My kids don't know the iTunes password, so all purchases have to be approved by me or my husband. These apps seemed to appear after an update was done. They are NOT appropriate for an 11 year old.  I can't simply delete them because when you press and hold the icon, no 'X' appears for these apps. I'm very concerned that some apps in iTunes are not legit because this doesn't seem right. Can anyone help me remove them???

    - The App and iTunes store is ste up so that there is a ten minute window to download something after the passwared for an update or purchse has been made.  From your dscription, it appeared that that happened.
    - It also appears that you have restrictions set that prohibit deleting apps.  Go to Setings>General>Restrictions.  You have to enter the passcode to change them.
    - Look at the apps on the iPod.  if there is one named Cycia, it means that the iPod had been jailbroken and that apps can be installed by means other than the App store.

    We are having many reports with report names such as

    'GP0IZ026BMC4SX5K8BISNZ00FSV' with few syntax errors in it.
    Can any one suggest whether these are any auto generared reports , as the report starts from 'GP *'.
    If so, please suggest how to regenerate the same.

  • Problems generating preview after update

    I just recently updated my OS to Lion (10.7.4) and updated A3 to 3.3.1
    Ever since I am not able to get any of my photos to show up in the viewer. When I select a photo in the browser the photo will show in the viewer for approximately 3 seconds. Then the photo will disappear and the blank gray background of the viewer is all that I am left with. This will happen with every photo in my library, even newly imported photos.
    My current computer is a Mac Mini 2.3Ghz (i5) and 16 GB RAM
    Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    In Aperture Preferences, what are your settings for Previews?

  • App update screen is blank even though it reports that updates are available

    Unable to retrieve updates on applications due to blank screen. Shutdown rebooted with no resolution.

    If you are getting the blank app update screen, many people are having this problem over the last couple of days.
    According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
    If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
    This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.

    You would want to go the set up menu on your printer.
    Then go to the >Fax Setup Option
    Next go down to  > Fax Reports
    It should look like this:
    Fax Reports
    Fax Confirmation
    On(Fax Send)
    On(Fax Receive)
    On(Send and Receive)
    Off
    You should be able to turn off the option on fax send.

  • A simple fix to the "No Content" error after updating to iOS 4.2.1.

    I had the same problem that others are reporting after updating an iPhone to iOS 4.2.1 where all of my media disappeared. However I don't currently have access to my PC to sync with iTunes but have posted a really simple fix that worked for me here:

    The advantage of this fix is that it doesn't need you to use iTunes which was important for me as I am currently away from my PC. I fixed my iPhone this way and I suspect the same would work on an iPod Touch or iPad.

    You can only sync to one iTunes library but you can manage music and videos among different computer/libraries.
    It appears that you are trying to sync with a different library.
    - If you want to make the Mac you syncing computer:
    --- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by:
    iOS: How to back up
    --- Restore the iPod from that backup. Note that synced media like apps and music are not in included in the backup.

  • App Store reporting unneeded updates

    The App Store app on my iPhone reports that updates are available for several of my apps despite the fact that all the apps have been already updated via iTunes. I double-checked the apps and they are all the latest versions. It's annoying because the icon for App Store has a little red circle with a number in it, nagging me to update when no update is needed... any remedy for this? BTW when I plug the iPhone into the Mac iTunes does not report that any updates are needed.

    No way to fix this - it's been like that since the introduction of the on-phone App store.
    As a heads up -- downloading apps through the iPhone itself messes up sync backup settings, so its best never to download anything on the phone anyway.
    I moved this icon, the iTunes icon, the Stock iCon, and the Contacts icon to their own screen all the way at the end of my list of icons, so I never have to look at them again.

  • Updates are disabled by system administrator

    I'm looking at three different pc's - two are on a domain, the other is from a different domain and network. All three systems report that "updates are disabled by your system administrator" in the help, about firefox screen.
    To my knowledge, the system administrator team (myself and co-workers) have not done anything to disable this. It also seems odd that a random laptop not related to my business' domain would have the same error.
    What is causing the updates to be disabled? How can this be enabled?

    Just curious whether turning off the use of the maintenance service, then exiting and restarting Firefox would bypass that message. You can turn off the service in the Options dialog under Advanced/Updates. See: [[Advanced settings for accessibility, browsing, system defaults, network, updates, and encryption]].

  • After update to IOS 7x some apps are crashing a lot & system Reboots!

    After installing IOS 7.1.1 on 1 x iPhone 4 16GB, 3x iPhone 4s 64GB and 1 iPad mini 64GB, Apps started crashing which worked well on IOS 5.5 &amp; IOS 6. After Updating to IOS 7, the problems started. Some of my favourite games like "Call Of Duty: Black Ops Zombies"and Avengers Initiative keep crashing at the start. "Call Of Duty" reported Low Memory even though I turned off Background App Refresh, Re-downloaded the Apps, performed full system reboot, enabled "Reduce Motion", enabled "Increase Contrast" and still no luck.  I have also deleted many of my Apps to free up storage space but still no improvement. Other problems major problems are that the screen freezes and Apps become unresponsive requiring a full system reboot. This happens very often and also when trying to update or download Apps the system crashes and often Reboots itself. I believe the main problem is with low memory because I ran an App called "Battery Doctor" which shows that 82% of the 512MB RAM is already been used before any Apps have even been started leaving only 89MB of free RAM which is hardly enough to run decent Games on. There are many occasions when FaceTime wouldn't allow Sign In and in iTunes Apps would revert to how they were after applying changes. When adding Contacts, changes would often revert back. Also I have noticed that the iPhone sometimes would display the wrong amount of free Storage space and it would sometimes show like 5GB available and then go to 0MB available and cause crashes during downloads. Another problem I found was that when Apps start up, a white patch shows on the screen temporarily which wasn't apparent before IOS 7x. When adding contacts I noticed that with "Increase Contrast" disabled, some of the entries added did not display while typing with the keyboard and the text was greyed out making it difficult to read what you are typing. Now I wish that I had not updated to IOS 7 as suggested because it has messed up my £700 iPhones and I don't see a way of downgrading without Jailbreaking making my phones worthless. We are very very upset and disappointed because we paid so much money for the devices and have not had them long. We do not want to buy a newer device just because of the update messing up our phones. Also I do not want to try and restore from a previous backup because the last few times I've tried and it does not restore everything. It is very time consuming and I am too ill to go through all that again on each device. Also I believe the restore does not give me the choice of going back to IOS 5.5 or IOS 6. Therefore if Apple could give the opportunity to update to IOS 5.5 or IOS 6 for older devices and have a separate update for IPhone 5s which have a faster processor and double RAM (1GB) then I would be very grateful.  I would also like to add the fact that IOS 7.x.x drains the battery very quickly. After reading the many complaints about IOS 7 update &amp; my personal experience, I now regret updating and also fear that future updates may render my iPhones useless. I bought my iPhone 4s direct from Apple and paid a premium for Factory Unlocked iPhones. I think the iPhones may now be out of warranty and are very unhappy with this situation. Please, please please could you send a fix in another update!

    Actually DIESEL they do force you to update. my wife has not update hers yet to ios6 and none of the apps work at full tilt anymore because they are all updated for ios 6....Apple is now making you either update(and ruin your iphone 4s) or buy the new iphone 5(which i doubt will have any of the problems people with iphone 4s are having).
    Since updating my 4s i have lost signal, data has been very low at best. i can not access any apps or they open up and do not refresh. I use to have 4bars at my work and now i have 1.

    But I have successfully installed the XL Reporter means upgraded.
    Now, When I am running existing reports which are preapred in previous version, is not running. It gives error i.e. Expansion has problem.
    B4 this error, it has shown me some other error for user defined field was not found, when i have checked, the upgradation of patch level has changed the name of UDFs.
    I have modified the udf names in the report.
    Can u identify wht is the problem exactly please..
