Generic program for calculating subtotals

Dear All,
I have created a big sales ALV report for the company which collects the data from lot of tables.
Now the problem is, the report that I have created is Invoice-wise item-wise report. And every user and management do not want that item-wise report. As they need the same report like
1. Region-wise & Customer-wise, (e.g. North region, X customer) sales report.
2. Customer-wise, product-wise
3. Region-wise, customer-wise, product-wise.
4. Product-wise categorization
etc. and many more.
Although the report can be generated by putting the Subtotal (in ALV generated report) on the desired columns. But main problem with that is that Subtotal increase the number of rows drastically which does not look good.
To explain in detail:
Inv. No     Item      Material       Qty.     Value     Customer      Region
90001      10          A                10       1000         X                  10
90001      10          B                20       1500         X                  10
90002      10          A                50       6000         X                  10
In Basic ALV, I have only two rows. But when I do the subtotal  according to Regio-wise Customer-wise Material-wise,the number of rows will become 6.
But as per the given scenario, the number of rows should be only 2.
Region    Customer     Material     Qty     Value
10              X                   A             60      6000
10              X                   B             20      1500
So my requirement is how can I make such report in which user specify the columns against which he need the subtotals and rest all value & column related columns should add up WITHOUT ADDITION IN NUMBER OF ROWS.
If still you do not understand the problem then tell I will explain it more.
Kind Regards,
Vishal

Hi
U need to manage the ALV layout variant in your selection screen, in this way every user can decide which variant (so which detail) has to be used.

  • Is there any Program for Perfornance Calculation?

    Hi,
Is there any standard program for calculating ABAP program performance? Please help me in this.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Siva Sankar.

    Hi
These are the main performance points where u have to look
there is no program for this
    reward if usefull
Performance Tuning is nothing but optimizing the performance of your program through various techniques thus increasing the productivity of the user.
    Purpose
In this world of SAP programming, ABAP is the universal language . Often due to the pressure of schedules and deliveries, the main focus of making a efficient program takes a back seat. An efficient program is one which delivers the required output to the user in a finite time as per the complexity of the program, rather than hearing the comment “I put the program to run , have my lunch and come back to check the results”
    Use
Leaving aside the hyperbole, a performance optimized ABAP Program has the following uses:
Saves the time of the end user.
Increases the productivity of the user.
In turn keeps the user and hence the management happy.
    Challenges
Performance of a program is also often limited due to hardware restrictions, which is out of the scope of this tutorial.
    Ways of Performance Tuning
    Selection Criteria
    Select Statements
    Select Queries
    SQL Interface
    Aggregate Functions
    For all Entries
Select Over more than one Internal table
    Internal tables
    4. Typing
    5. Control Statements (If, Case, While..)
    6. Field Conversion
    7. ABAP Objects
    8. Tools for Performance Analysis
    Selection Criteria
Restrict the data to the selection criteria itself, rather than filtering it out using the ABAP code using CHECK statement.
    Select with selection list.
Note: It is suggestible to make at least on field mandatory in Selection-Screen as mandatory fields restrict the data selection and hence increasing the performance.
SELECT * FROM SBOOK INTO SBOOK_WA.
    CHECK: SBOOK_WA-CARRID = 'LH' AND
    SBOOK_WA-CONNID = '0400'.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code can be much more optimized by the code written below which avoids CHECK, selects with selection list
SELECT CARRID CONNID FLDATE BOOKID FROM SBOOK INTO TABLE T_SBOOK
    WHERE SBOOK_WA-CARRID = 'LH' AND
    SBOOK_WA-CONNID = '0400'.
    Select Statements Select Queries
    Avoid nested selects
Select all the records in a single shot using into table clause of select statement rather than to use Append statements.
When a base table has multiple indices, the where clause should be in the order of the index, either a primary or a secondary index.
For testing existence , use Select.. Up to 1 rows statement instead of a Select-Endselect-loop with an Exit.
Use Select Single if all primary key fields are supplied in the Where condition .
    Point # 1
SELECT * FROM EKKO INTO EKKO_WA.
SELECT * FROM EKAN INTO EKAN_WA
          WHERE EBELN = EKKO_WA-EBELN.
      ENDSELECT.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code can be much more optimized by the code written below.
    SELECT PF1 PF2 FF3 FF4 INTO TABLE ITAB
FROM EKKO AS P INNER JOIN EKAN AS F
          ON PEBELN = FEBELN.
Note: A simple SELECT loop is a single database access whose result is passed to the ABAP program line by line. Nested SELECT loops mean that the number of accesses in the inner loop is multiplied by the number of accesses in the outer loop. One should therefore use nested SELECT loops  only if the selection in the outer loop contains very few lines or the outer loop is a SELECT SINGLE statement.
    Point # 2
SELECT * FROM SBOOK INTO SBOOK_WA.
    CHECK: SBOOK_WA-CARRID = 'LH' AND
    SBOOK_WA-CONNID = '0400'.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code can be much more optimized by the code written below which avoids CHECK, selects with selection list and puts the data in one shot using into table
SELECT CARRID CONNID FLDATE BOOKID FROM SBOOK INTO TABLE T_SBOOK
    WHERE SBOOK_WA-CARRID = 'LH' AND
    SBOOK_WA-CONNID = '0400'.
    Point # 3
To choose an index, the optimizer checks the field names specified in the where clause and then uses an index that has the same order of the fields . In certain scenarios, it is advisable to check whether a new index can speed up the performance of a program. This will come handy in programs that access data from the finance tables.
    Point # 4
SELECT * FROM SBOOK INTO SBOOK_WA
    UP TO 1 ROWS
    WHERE CARRID = 'LH'.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code is more optimized as compared to the code mentioned below for testing existence of a record.
SELECT * FROM SBOOK INTO SBOOK_WA
    WHERE CARRID = 'LH'.
    EXIT.
    ENDSELECT.
    Point # 5
If all primary key fields are supplied in the Where condition you can even use Select Single.  Select Single requires one communication with the database system, whereas Select-Endselect needs two.

  • Not able to generate bdocs in generic program

    Hi Experts,
We made a generic program to change the status of leads(order) in SAP CRM 7.0 system.
It is working fine all leads status is changing but BDocs are not generated for that changes done by generic program.
Please guide us for solution to generate the BDocs .So that We can fetch data in deltaload in BW system.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Arpit.

    Arpit,
Please look at these two points.
Are BDocs to BW generated when you change status of leads manually on Web UI/GUI? If yes then it should get generated from program as well.
In you custom program, have you done direct table updates or used functions/methods that directly update status. Then BDocs will not get generated.
    Cheers,
    Niraj

  • Purpose of RSTXTRAN program for SAP-Script ?? ??

Purpose of RSTXTRAN program for SAP-Script ?? ??
when it is required to run that program ?

    Hi sarit,
Purpose of RSTXTRAN program for SAP-Script Transfer of SAP script Texts to a Correction.
The report RSTXTRAN allows a set of SAP script texts (or the text key) to be transferred to a correction or repair of the transport system. The name of the correction/repair can either be transferred as a report parameter, or the correction/repair can be selected later in a selection window. The text key can be qualified generically using the asterisk character (*).
When the report has been executed, the list of selected texts appears. Individual texts can be deselected in this list. When the function "Continue" is executed, the final list of texts which are to be transferred is displayed. The transfer of texts to the correction/repair can now be activated by the appropriate function, and must be confirmed in a dialog box.The requirements for this as follows.
There is a correction/repair in which the selected text keys can be entered, if it is not being processed. The report can only insert text keys in corrections or repairs, not however in transport requests. However, the objects contained in a correction can be transferred to a transport request with the correction and transport system transaction.
It should also be noted that the report selects texts in the current client, but that the transport system generally exports texts from client 000.
When the report has been executed, the output can be a list of the selected texts. Information about whether transfer to the correction/repair was possible is displayed for each text key.
    Reasons for failed transfer include
o the correction/repair is currently being processed
o the correction/repair does not exist
    For Example
All German standard texts with the ID ST, whose names begin with SAPSCRIPT, are to be entered in the correction B20K009999. The report parameters are then assigned values as follows:
    o Correction: B20K009999
    o Text object: TEXT
    o Text name: SAPSCRIPT*

  • Function module for calculating sigma balance

Is there  any function module available in SAP for calculating sigma balance.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

    hi
ABAP_DOCU_DOWNLOAD     Download ABAP documentation in HTML format.
APPL_LOG_DELETE     With this function module you delete logs in the database according to specified selection conditions
APPL_LOG_DISPLAY     With this function module you can analyze logs in the database.
APPL_LOG_DISPLAY_INTERN     With this function module you can analyze logs in local memory, e.g. when you have only collected log records at runtime and do not want to write to the database.
APPL_LOG_INIT     This function module checks whether the specified object or sub-object exists and deletes all existing associated data in local memory.
APPL_LOG_READ_DB     With this function module you read the log data in the database for an object or sub-object according to specified selection conditions.
APPL_LOG_READ_INTERN     With this function module you read all log data whose log class has at least the specified value, from local memory, for the specified object or sub-object.
APPL_LOG_SET_OBJECT     With this function module, you create a new object or sub-object for writing in local memory. With a flag you can control whether the APPL_LOG_WRITE_... messages are written in local memory or are output on the screen.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_DB     With this function module you write all data for the specified object or sub-object in local memory to the database. If the log for the object or sub-object in question is new, the log number is returned to the calling program.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_HEADER     With this function module, you write the log header data in local memory.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_LOG_PARAMETERS     With this function module, you write the name of the log parameters and the associated values for the specified object or sub-object in local memory. If this function module is called repeatedly for the same object or sub-object, the existing parameters are updated accordingly. If you do not specify an object or sub-object with the call, the most recently used is assumed.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_MESSAGE_PARAMS     With this function module you write a single message, with parameters, in local memory. Otherwise the function module works like APPL_LOG_WRITE_SINGLE_MESSAGE.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_MESSAGES     With this function module you write one or more messages, without parameters, in local memory.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_SINGLE_MESSAGE     With this function module you write a single message, without parameters, in local memory. If no header entry has yet been written for the object or sub-object, it is created. If you do not specify an object or sub-object with the call, the most recently used is assumed.
ARFC_GET_TID     will return the IP address of the terminal in hex.

SXPG_CALL_SYSTEM     you can check the user's authorization for the specified command and run the command. The command runs on the host system on which the function module is executed. The function module is RFC capable. It can therefore be run on the host system at which a user happens to be active or on another designated host system at which an R/3 server is active.
SXPG_COMMAND_CHECK     Check whether the user is authorized to execute the specified command on the target host system with the specified arguments.

  • Generic webservice for RFC

    Hello Colleagues,
Is there a generic webservice for any SAP RFC,that is i want to call an existing RFC through webservice, without generating a webserive for that RFC.
    regards
    kaushik

The short answer to your question is yes. There is a BSP application called "webservicebrowser" that takes you through a menu of all the RFC-enabled function modules and will generate WSDL files for each one that you can then introspect into contemporary IDE's.
You will need to enable this BSP application by running the program BSP_UNLOCK_LONG_APP.
The longer answer is that you should avoid enabling this feature and using it. The reason for this is that is not at all granular, so when you enable this part of the SOAP runtime you enable it for all RFC-enabled function modules. This is not really a good idea due to the obvious security implications.
I advise using SOAMANAGER to publish just the specific function modules you want to use.
    Cheers

  • Generic program to SEND an email

    Hello
Can you help with an ABAP program to sends an email AFTER the Process chain completes. I would like to informational email from process chain as soon as it completes.
Can you post an generic ABAP program that sends an email and please let me know the parameters that needs to be maintained..
Also, suggest me, if there is a GOOD another way to accomplish this task.
Thanks a lot for your help..

    Hi,
Genarally, you can create a message, by right click and create message then give email ids in Maintain Recipent list (Recipt type =  via internet) and then give message that you want to send in Edit Document.
Check whether the email address is maintained in SU01 in address tab.
Configure SMTP server is set up properly ( SCOT). Ask basis team to do it.
There is also other option to send the mail through program, for this you need to trigger any event or you can insert this program at teh end of the process chain.

  • How to run the program for specified time

    Dear Friends,
I have a small problem, I want to run my labview program for specified amount of time, Say for example it might be 1 hour or 5 hours or 10 minutes or even milliseconds(The time will be specified by the user).
How to write programs for this
And I want to get the system time in an instance, how it can be achieved,
    Could you please help me?
    Regards,
    Rathan

    Hi,
Herewith my screenshot attached. There are thre inputs thres, tempX, xValue, it is in side the while loop.'xValue' will be acquired every iteration, It will be saved through shift register and acquired to 'tempX' for the next iteration, 'thres' is a constant value. I'm doing some logic, and calculating the dvalue and convert it to a string and concatenate it with end of line character, then after writing it into a file.
In the logic, inside of the functional logic  I'm assigning some values dValue, if the logic is true or else dvalue will be 0
What I require is I don't want to write the dValue in to a file, if it is equal to zero. Could you please help me, how to tackle this problem?
    Thanks.

  • Does anyone have a VI for calculating orifice flow using AGA or ASME methonds

I'm taking data from an orifice flow meter including pressure, temperature, and orifice DP. Has anyone coded the AGA 3 or AGA 8 or ASME orifice flow calculations into a VI. I'm using LV 7.1. Thanks

I see that 288 other interested parties have viewed this posting, but I do not see a response.  I have a short program in basic that we created some years ago that I was about to convert to LabView.  We created the program for both flange taps and pipe taps.  If you were successful in creating a LabView version, I would love to share it.  If not, I will continue working on my version and post it here later.

  • BDC Program for posting FI document

    Hi everyone!
Anyone out there already made a BDC program for posting FI documents with this concept:
User will upload a spreadsheet file with the line items per row
User will input which TCODE user will use for posting
BDC program will then post the document using the line items in the spreadsheet file
I need to make a BDC program with that concept but having a hard time to think of a good algorithm to make my program very flexible.
    Thanks!

you can use batch input program RFBIBL00 to pasrk document. Please check these links for more information.

Have a processing routine defined for the specific Idocs that come into SAP.
So, as and when the idocs are in, the routine triggers and you can codeappropriately in the routine for parking the idocs.
    Check these threads
    BAPI For Parking FI Document
    Post FI Parked Documents
You can use message type INVOIC, IDoc Type INVOIC01/02 with process code INVF (FM IDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_FI) for FBV1 transaction.
See if there are any BAPI/FMs for parking an FI document.
1.. Use INVOIC01 IDOC with INVF process code (This works for Vendor Line Items only). I read the documentation somewhere that, this would work even if the line items are > 999
2.. BAPI_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT_POST (This works for Vendor Line Items only)
3.. BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST (Tax jurisdiction allocation not calculated properly)
4.. BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_POST (No tax line items allowed for this BAPI)
