Genius Not Loading
When I try to log-in to Genius, I get the message "We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later." I've been getting this for 2 days now, and my roommate's Genius works! So now I'm wondering if its my computer and not them...
I get the same exact thing. I have been for like 2 weeks. I am getting so ******. I tried downloading it again and repairing and nothing works.

My Safari will not load any secure website
Hello Everyone,
Recently my Safari will not load any secure webpage that I try to connect to, i.e.: Google, Gmail, YouTube, PayPal, but Safari will load insecure webpages that I have either bookmarked or that I manually type in their URL. Everytime I try and load one of these secure webpages like Google, i get the error "Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server www.google.com." I have searched through these threads and have tried a few of the remedies suggested, all to no avail. I've reset Safari, I've deleated all plug-ins, I've cleared cashes and history, I've removed all cookies and internet data, I've changed my Mac's dns to Google's 8.8.8.8 // 8.8.4.4, and still no fix. The problem even persists in safemode. Even the webpages I can load take forever to load. Just getting to this forum took nearly 3 hours as every page loaded took roughly 10-15 minutes. I am at a loss as to what could be causing this and how to fix it.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Back up all data on the drive immediately if you don't already have a current backup. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional—ask if you need guidance.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.

Itunes 10.4 will not load - secure link failed
I have itunes 10.4 and the store will not load, I can download apps updates from itunes and ping. but the store will not load. When i run the tests I get secure link failed for the itunes store. when i click on help it tells me I am not connected to the internet. which i am. iam surfing the net. downloading updates drom my computer

My Macbook Pro will not load past grey Apple screen...
Last night my Macbook Pro froze so I closed it and went to bed. Today when I opened it, it was still frozen, so I held down the power button and rebooted it. It got as far as the grey Apple screen with the spinning wheel and will not load any further than that. I've rebooted a couple times since and it continues to do the same thing, stays on the grey screen forever.
I searched this problem on the Apple Support Communitites and none of suggestions (holding Shift after the startup tone, holding Command+R) have worked so far. Is there any way to fix this problem without losing my data or having to pay to talk to Apple Support? PLEASE HELP! :(Zzoozu wrote:

Then we can't help you as we need you to be able to help yourself and the instructions are complicated and long to paste here over and over again for the same proceedure.
Hire the services of a local Mac computer repair before you delete your data by accident.
You can jump down and do #8, that might clear the issue right away, but some programs are not going to work and require updating or reinstalling again.

Windows XP, will not load past blue error screen
Hi, been wondering for a while if anyone can help me...
My xp system will not load past the blue error screen which appears after the computer has shut down suddenly or improperly.
Regardless of what actions you choose to take (safe mode, most recent settings...etc) the system simply goes past the blue screen, onto the windows logo loading page, where the loading bar moves for around 10 seconds, before returning back to the blue loading page.
So far I have tried leaving the computer for as long as a month unused whilst I was abroad, removing the battery for various amounts of time, and leaving the computer running for as long as a day.
In the absence of a recovery disk, I have no idea how to get it back to form, and would welcome any hints or suggests, bearing in mind I am no computing genius (If you had'nt guessed). Preferably, without loosing my irreplacable pictures and videos stored on the hard drive, however that is only preferably,

i know what it's like to not able to boot even into safe mode command prompt.
In your case I would do either of below:
Download a bootable CD ISO called "HDD Regenerator" or [Hiren's BootCD|www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd] which includes many other great tools. Burn the ISO image onto CDR.
1. Use the HDD Regenerator to boot the PC and use it to scan the whole HardDrive from 0, it will scan and fix all the bad sectors which may cause Windows failing to boot as systems files are corrupted. You will be suprise how great this tool can fix bad sector HDs.
2. If above does not work, the the Hiren's BootCD to boot the PC, navigate to Symantec Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image to Clone you hard drive, you can use USB external harddrives.
Then you can rebuild the PC with second partition large enough to store the HardDisk-IMAGE, use Ghost Explorer/etc to restore your personal files.
I have been dealing with lots of this issues as well. Let me know if you need more help.

FireWire drivers are not loaded
I've got a 14 month old 15" MacBook Pro, now running Leopard. Firewire has not been working for some time. I've now looked at the System Profiler and it is reporting the following against the FireWire entry:
Warning: The FireWire drivers are not loaded.
Does anyone know if it is possible to reinstall the drivers, and if so where do I download them from?

MarkMy CrapBook Pro is doing the same thing. I have had problems with the Firewire 400/800 from the start...only recently did I really want them to work. It worked maybe 1 out of 20 times...multiple devices. ALL DEVICES WORKED WITH MY G5 running Tiger (was that before leopard).
So I brought the computer into the Genius Bar...they hooked some things view Firewire and they all showed up. I was told to bring one or more of my devices in to try them there...I get home...connect my WD HD with FW800...it appears...I connected my Plextor Burner with a movie in it...it appeared...I got excited that things might be working. Unplugged items plugged them in again...and nothing is showing up...I can still hook up the WD HD with USB...I know when I try the Western Digital HD via FW THE DRIVE KNOWS IT IS CONNECTED via lights...so I rebooted and tried it again...CRAP...nothing shows up via FW...then I too looked and found:

I am running Mac OS 10.10 and trying to run Illustrator CS4. CS4 says it needs Java SE 6 Run Time, but I can not load that into OS 10.10. What to do?

Adobe Reader for iPad mini IOS 8.0 will not load???
Loaded, deleted, multiple times. Restarted iPad multiple times. Will not load. Opens with blank screen, stays blank forever.
Here are a couple of things that you could try.
If you have iCloud backup before the iOS 8.0.2, you can restore the content of your iPad. See iCloud - Backup - Apple Support
You can completely uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader for iOS. Before you uninstall Reader, please be sure to make the backup of your PDF documents on your iPad. How to backup and restore PDF documents on your iPad/iPhone using iTunes
As a last resort, you could completely reset your iPad to factory settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset, and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Please note that you will lose all of your application data (including preferences) stored on your iPad if you do this. But you can download and install all of your free & paid apps again.
If none of the above works, it could be a hardware problem with your iPad. You may want to visit the Genius Bar at your nearby Apple Store. -
My problem is a sudden loss of ability to get to PSE12 Organizer when I tried to load a saved scan. Had been using the Organizer and the Editor with no problems for several hours just before that.
Can not load the Organizer from the icon at the bottom of Editor screen, from the icon on the MacBook Air dock (OS 10.10.2), nor from the file in applications located with Finder.
I have tried without success to access Organizer after turning off and on the scanner, turning off and on the computer, loading a fresh copy of PSE12 from the CD, and restoring default preferences. I have searched on line for other options but not found any.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled flash player sever
al times. I upgraded to IE9. Still not working. I tried Firefox. Same there. I also went on my sons computer and same problem there. iphone loads vids, so I am assuming it is not a youtube problem. I have tired disabling acceleration in flash player. I have added youtube to safe sites. I have checked internet security settings. Java is enabled....I have done all the trouble shooting I can find.....Most vids do not load at all even if refreshing time and time again. It is rare but some will load at times so I know flash player is working properly. I cant figure this out.Try:

Tried to open an app and my iPad gen one froze. It only shows the apple on black screen and will show the operating wheel sometimes and while plugged in it will beep every few minutes. Will not load one show anything on screen but the small white apple.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hi!
My icloud email will not load.
On any computer, Mac or PC at the icloud.com it will not load and sends an error message to apple.
On my Mac it states that my password or email address is incorrect. This is not true as I have changed it and all other apple accounts work.
On my iPhone it states my password is incorrect--it is not, again I have checked and re-entered it numerous times.
I have checked and done all the troubleshooting I can find.
I have checked all the communities and it seems some others are experiencing this same problem.
I have called apple support and (of course) they want me to pay for someone to help me--which I would do if this was an issue with my hardware or software.
I have an appointment today with the genius bar at my local store.
I believe this is an apple icloud server issue.
I would not be posting if this had not been happening since Christmas day. It has been over a week since I have been able to retrieve my email.
If anyone can help that would be wonderful, but please do not refer me to the troubleshooting pages as I have researched them extensively.
Thank you!This same thing started for me today as well: None of my devices (iMac, MacBook 2 iPhones, iPad, 2 Apple TV's) which require Apple ID to work for mail, etc., would work this morning. I kept getting a message that my password or email address was incorrect. I was also notified my Apple ID password had "a security problem" and needed to be changed.
I was reluctant to change the password with my Apple ID, since I have been using it for nearly ten years, and will clearly never forget it. However, this old password only has six characters, all lower case. Apple now seems to want a password with at least eight characters, one of which is capitalized, etc. I went ahead and changed to a new 2012-model password, following Apple's guidelines, and voila, once I changed to that password on all of my devices they all work as they should!
What the heck? I guess I didn't have anything better to do between 10:00 and 11:00 am today anyway. While this seems like the right fix, I would have preferred it if Apple had sent out an advance notification that they are requiring more rigorous passwords, rather than just rejecting our old ones as a New Year's present. It would have saved some head scratching. -

Press and hold down the app icon until it jiggles then tap the circle with an x in it.
A dialog box will ask if you want to delete the app. To stop the icons jiggling on the screen, tap the Home button one time.
You can also purchase apps from the iTunes app store then sync using your computer.

Crash, crash, crash The application arch quit unexpectedly. could not load inserted library (???)
I keep getting the notice on my desktop, "The application arch quit unexpectedly. could not load inserted library: /Library/Application Support/DriveGenius/libdf.dylib".
If I dismiss the notice it reappears in 10 seconds., crashes every 10 seconds.
I'm assuming that Application Arch is an archive file.
I've got several hundred archive files according to the app "Find Any File", dunno which is the offending one.
In /Library/Application Support there's no DriveGenius/libdf.dylib to be found, not even in ~Library/Application Support. I can't even locate a DriveGenius/libdf.dylib file anywhere in my system.
I don't even have DriveGenius installed.
Where do I go from here?
