Get browser title in page code

Greetings!
Say I have a page with the following title...
<title>my page title</title>
...In the page code of my jsf page, I want to get at that title. How do I do this?

}...should result in:
Title: my page title

You are correct, I'm attempting to get the page title in the backing pagecode. You are also correct that we could potentially store the page titles in a properties file or something else and have access both ways. Perhaps that would be ideal in the long run, but right now our website doesn't do this and it would take more time than what I've got right now to convert it.
The reason for this is basically our web designer has opted to use bread crumbs on our pages. The bread crumb links will match up with the page titles, and in some instances I will have to dynamically build the bread crumbs. It would be very handy to simply grab the page title, throw it into a bean, and use it on a later page. That would also allow for the page title to remain in the control of the jsp page.
So, any idea how to determine the page title from inside the backing pagecode?

When I try to print from web page I get "printer not activated - error code 30", but I can copy text into Word document & printer works.

I am unable to print anything from an internet web page. I continually get "printer not activated, error code- 30" followed by "An unknown error occurred while printing". I can copy the material from the web page, place into a Word document and then print. This just started yesterday and I have no idea why. Would appreciate your advice!

This is occurring with Outlook. So is in that program or some link with Firefox

If you are talking about your sender name (the one that appears on the From line when you compose an email) rather than your @icloud.com email address, to change it on your iOS device, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap iCloud under Accounts, tap your iCloud account at the top of the next screen, tap Mail at the bottom of the next screen, then enter the name you want to use in the Name field at the top. Title of Page Frame in Browser - How to Change?

New to this. One quick question....
When you create a site in iWeb, the page title (or top frame in the browser) reflects the name of the page, and I can't find a way to edit that portion of the page.
For example, the homepage of my site is called "Home", however, I would rather it say (in the browser frame at the top) the name of the company (for search engine purposes).
How can this be done? Thanks in advance...

You would need to use iWebSEO to do this. It allows you to add page browser titles, tags and Google analytics to your site to be search engine friendly.
Note, you need to publish your site to a local folder on your desktop first and then upload.

Comcast took over my firefox browser and home page, how do I get comcast out of my firefox

I moved to a new area and comcast installed the service here. The installation and set up of the modem asked me to install a toolbar and I opted out because I see no use in comcast services. Comcast installed some thing like malware that took over safari chrome and firefox where all of the home pages were converted to their site. Safari required being reset and chrome I removed and reinstalled. Firefox has been completely taken over, I have uninstalled it 3 times and tried safe mode and just about everything else. I spent 2 hours on the phone with comcast to no avail and my feeling on it is that firefox is the most popular browser and comcast wants part of that so they have developed their own little malware to get in on firefox. What can I do as customer or user of firefox to get rid of comcast and their browser and home page and get back to what I am comfortable with which is firefox and my npr home page.

Sorry, if resetting your homepage in Firefox doesn't work or that change is only temporary until the next time you use your PC or restart it, you need to uninstall that Comcast Toolbar from your PC. I don't know how or where that Comcast Toolbar for Firefox is installed, so you'll need to figure that out yourself.
The first place to look is the Windows Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs, and it is there '''Remove''' it.
Second place is in the Firefox Add-ons Manager tab - '''{ Ctrl + Shft + A }''' - if you find it there, '''Uninstall''' it from Firefox.
If you are able to get rid of that Comcast Toolbar and still have problems with not being able to set your choice for a homepage, let us know. There are a couple of places that may have been messed with by that application, like a user.js file or the prefs.js file.
I'm a Comcast user, too, although I have had this cable service for over 10 years now, with the two previous owners of the franchise for this area before Comcast bought out AT&T Cable. All three companies recommended that I have their "software" installed and I refused it each time. I told them if it was "required", they could close my account, that I would go elsewhere.

Browser title needs to pick up tab title within a jspx page.

We are using dynamic tabs within a jspx. The requirement is that ,the browser title should pick the tab title when on-focus and the title should change when out-of-focus.We are not in favor of doing a full page refresh. Please advice.

I was trying to post a comment on a support group site. I was asked what web address I was using, or something along those lines. In hindsight, I stupidly typed a '?' and pressed send. Now, when I try to access that site I get the message "404 (page not found error)

I spoke with a Dell technician about this problem. He tried to access the site in question from his computer, i.e. separate from my computer, and he also got the same "404 (page not found error)". This can be the result of selecting the wrong driver. An older, unsupported laser printer will sometimes work with the generic Postscript driver.

How to set the title of pages created in Webcenter Spaces?

I need to set the title of the pages created in webcenter spaces. How can i do that? By default when i create the page in webcenter spaces the page name with which i created the page is coming up on the browser tab. But i want the browser title to be different from the page name. Is there a way to do this? I tried with using javascript and setting "document.title" but it works only partially. That is when the page is loading it shows the text that i have set using javascript but it doesnot remain persistent. As soon as the page loads it again resets back to the name of the page :(
I also tried adding html markup on to the page in edit mode and tried giving in the <title> tag but it is not getting applied, as soon as i click on apply it just refreshes the page and my changes are gone.
Please i need some help around this asap as it is critical.

I need to change the browser title based on the tab selected. And here the tabs on spaces page is actually coming from a custom task flow. Any idea how can i achieve this? And there is no page refresh involved.

Hello, I've created with robohelp 8 a WebHelp. The browser display's in the title bar the title of my project. Is it possible to change this title when you choose a topic? Like you click from the startpage (title=startpage) on topic A, the the browser title changes to A? I've searched the web for answers, but the ones I found wouldn't work in my Webhelp. For example there is a javascript, which you include in your topic HTML:
<body OnLoad="parent.document.title=document.title"> Unfortunately this doesn't work.
Does anybody know how to solve this?

I have found the solution:
Just put this code in your topic pages:
<body onload="parent.parent.document.title=document.title">
This works great. The only problem is that when you put this code in your masterpage's RoboHelp strips the code, so in you export such as webhelp the code has disappeared. The solution is to modify the page's afther exporting your webhelp. I use dreamweaver, this tool has an batch function for search and replace which makes it an easy job!
I wil send Adobe a suggestion to make this function in the software, that would be easier.

Hi,
It is possible to set the Document title for PDF output. Open the Reports Property Inspector, under PDF Document Taxonomy, you can set the Document title. But this does not show up in the browser when you open the document.

Title of Page from Pages library not appearing as expected from custom pagelayouts VS solution

hi,
i have created a custom web page from pages library using custom page layouts library with the help of a wsp.
here is my sample page.
now my issue is, when i go to the page / the title of the page is not displaying correctly.
as per my requirement the ttile of the page should be APPROVE/REJECT Doc
which is mentioned in the <title>APPROVE/REJECT Doc</title></head>.
and in my VS 2012 pagelayouts solution i have added this page name approve1.aspx.
hence i am getting the Page title from the pages lib as approve1 .
can someone pls help what should i do to get this title issue resolved.
i cant rename the page again from the solution.i would like to see the title of this page takes from <title>APPROVE/REJECT Doc</title></head> .

Timer task (Time Schduling ) in JSP for hit/browse another site page

I want to develope a JSP application which is run the perticular link in every 30 min.
means i want to set the scheduling of 30 min which is browese(run) my another server link like http://nileshpatel.com/abc.jsp
How can i do it OR Time Scheduling is possible in JSP?

Yeah, I couldn't get it to work on the onLoad funtion either but it is probably a nested quote problem. Put it in a function and call that function from the onLoad event.

</body>Problems: This will only work if the user has the page with the above code opened when the 30min passes by. If they go to some other page, it won't work. If the user goes surfing around multiple pages with this code on it, the 30 minutes will be reset at each point the user gets to a new page.
You are better off writing a normal Java application with a timer that runs as a service. Every 30 minutes it would trigger a browser to open the web page.
