Get connection variable in jython
hi experts,
how to get the connection variable in the procedure using jython, or to assign the connection variable from the source into jython variable
as in java bean shell i used to use such this
Connection myCon = snpRef.getJDBCConnection("SRC");
the procedure i'd like to create is source: oracle, target: jython.

I believe in jython it would be pretty much similiar
e.g.

or

I have a class named ExecQuery for executing an sql query. This class accepts an sql statement and a Connection variable as its parameters. It has a method to return the resultset. Then, I also have a servlet that establishes the connection in the init method and instantiates the ExecQuery. The problem is that the Connection variable becomes null in the ExecQuery class that receives it. Why is this so? Please let me know why the Connection variable becomes null and the solution for this.

As such it cant become null. Make sure null value doesnt get passed to ExecQuery class.
Anyway, better idea would be getting Connection in ExecQeury class rather that Servlet. -

I have made sure that everything that ED has mentioned, i have checked still can't resolve the issue.

below steps are done:
1.Copy the tnsnames.ora from Oracle Database home (ORACLE_HOME\NETWORK\ADMIN\) to the following locations.
\OracleBI1\network\admin (Example: C:\OBI\Oracle_BI1\network\admin)
\oracle_common\network\admin (Example: C:\OBI\oracle_common\network\admin)
2.Set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable value with one of the copied locations in the step 1 in user.cmd or user.sh file depending on your OS. This file will be found under \instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIApplication\coreapplication\setup (Example : C:\OBI\instances\instance2\bifoundation\OracleBIApplication\coreapplication\setup)

Get Shared Variable List function
I have created a Project; when I use "Get Shared Variable List" function, I'm enountering this error: "Error 1055 occurred at Property Node in Mechanical Room1.lvlib:MechRoom5.vi; Object reference is invalid". I've just connected the name of the process the shared variable is belong to. The vi is also in this Project library. I appreciate any help.

I've created an example vi which should help out. It gets a list of all processes deployed, and then returns a list of variables for each of those processes.
This should help to make sure that you are specifying a valid process name to the function, as this could be the cause of the error.
Try running this and see if you get the same error. If you do then can you post your project files, or a smaller project that still shows the problem, and I'll take a further look at this for you.

SELYEAR is numeric because it is "2007 as". CO is numeric because it is "CNTY as". The values in CNTY are 1 to 67 numeric. How do I get "CO" variable 01 to 67 in character format?

Been on the phone all morning to various options under 0800 800 150, but still don't seem to be able to find the right people to speak to!
We live in the middle of no-where, between two BT exchanges. The exchange we're currently on can only provide at best 256KB broadband, and that service disappears often for no apparent reason (guess the line is just old!). Telephone calls are also variable in quality. However, 500 yards down the road, people are getting up to 3MB on a more reliable line.
What I'm trying to do is find out how we can get connected to that exchange instead (I'm sure there will be a cost associated with this, but we want to see what is possible). Our neighbours (3 houses) are waiting to see if we succeed as they want to get the better speed too. They are currently on the same exchange as us, but would also consider swapping exchanges.
The most helpful team so far on the phone were Sales, but their system seems to just offer us the existing exchange. Can anyone suggest a more suitable team we can contact, and how we can get in touch with them?
Many thanks for any help anyone can offer.The trouble is that the cable that feed syour premises would originate from your current telephone exchange, to arrange to have it fed from a different exchange would invole a lot of cost, and BT would probably not undertake the job anyway.
You could suggest that you and your neighbours approach BT and ask for a quote (split between you all) but my guess is that it could cost thousands.

Remote access VPN client gets connected fails on hosts in LAN
Hi,
VPN client gets connected fine, I have a inter VLAN routing happening on the switch in the LAN so all the LAN hosts have gateway IP on the switch, I have the defult route pointing to ASA inside interface on the switch, the switch I can reach after Remote Access VPN is connected how ever I cannot ping/connect to other hosts in the LAN and if I make the gateway point to the ASA then that host is accessible, any suggestions? I really want to have gateway to be the Switch as I have other networks reachable through the Switch (Intranet routing)Hi Mashal,

We don't need route print on the PC for now as I can explain what is happening I can get complete access to the 192.168.2.0/24 (VLAN 1000) but for 192.9.200.0/24 (VLAN 4000) above from the switch I can only ping IP's on the switches/pair but cannot have any tcp connections, which explains the default route being pointed on the switch is on VLAN 1000, now my issue is How do I get access to VLAN 4000 as you can see these two are on different Interfaces/zones on the ASA and please note with default gateway pointing to ASA I will have access to both the VLAN's it is only when I move the gateway pointing to Switch I loose tcp connections to one VLAN depending on the default route on the being pointing to on the switch.
So we are left to do with how to on the switch with default route. -
I recently received an eMac as a gift from a friend. I am having some problems setting it up. First, for some reason, I cannot get my osX disks to install onto my eMac. the eMac tells me the install disk is not bootable. Why would that be? So, I have os 9.2 installed on the eMac. I have the eMac connected to a netgear router, and when I set up all the ip settings in the eMac, I get connection errors. I do not know why. I can easily hook up any windows computer to a router, but when I try to connect an Apple Computer to a router or an ethernet modem, I always get connection errors. Why? What am I doing wrong? In the Apple System Profiler, the eMac tells me that it cannot identify the router. Why would that be? Do I need a special eMac driver for my netgear router? I have tried to find such a driver, but am having no success. I need help! Can someone please help me? I really want to use this eMac! But if I cannot get it set up for the internet, it is going into the junkyard! I really don't want that!
Encryption wouldn't matter except for Wifi.
While 10.2 might help, there's not much you can do on the Internet these days with less than 10.4.11

I am trying to setup wireless using my old dome Airport Extreme Base station. I had previously used it about 5 years ago when I had dial up but have now switched to DSL with Windstream. I can not get connected as the ABS keeps trying to dial up(the old phone number). When I tried to change my network settings an annoying popup window says "your network settings have been changed by another application'. I have no idea what the message is all about and when I close this window it immediately pops up again and prevents me -as far as I can tell -from changing my Airport settings? I need advice on how to get this wireless setup done. Maybe a reset? or something else? I have the DSL phone line plugged into WIndsteam Seimens Speedstream 4200 modem and then the ethernet (yellow) wire from the WIndsteam Seimens Speedstream 4200 modem to the port on the dome that is a circle of dots.
1)Can you explain how using the AEBS as a bridge will work with the Seimens Speedstream4200?
As a bridge, the AEBS will basically become a wireless access point. This will allow the AEBS to provide a wireless network, but still allow the Speedstream to provide NAT & DHCP services for the wireless clients connected to the AEBS. If the AEBS was left as a router, you would have a double-NAT condition which isn't necessary bad in itself, but would create a second subnet. That would make it more difficult for clients connected to the AEBS to access clients connected to the Speedstream.
2) Is there a link that will guide me through the steps to set the AEBS as a bridge?
You can easily reconfigure the AEBS as a bridge using the AirPort Utility.
ref: AirPort Utility > Select the AEBS > Manual Setup > Internet > Internet Connection > Connection Sharing = Off (Bridge Mode)
3)Can I just connect the DSL phone line to the AEBS and eliminate the Speedstream4200?
Unfortunately no. The AEBS does not have a built-in DSL modem. You will still need the Speedstream to provide this function.

Spotlight wont show results from the Library folder
