Get flv url from swf
How can you find the url location of an flv file.... for
example how could i find the flv of a youttube video... this must
be possible as their are sites that enable you to download the flv.
kind regards J.... p.s. merry christmas.
So there is no direct way to get the url into flash?...
The thing is that I`m making some multi-languaged banners for another programmer. The url`s used in his site have a ln parameter from which I could get the language.
So then... I could call a JavaScript function with ExternalInterface from flash and get the url then move on with my bussiness form there, right? I dont`t know Java script though... You think you could give me the code?... Thanks in advance!

Automator Stops Responding while trying to perform "Get Image URLs from Webpage"
I have seen it in many tutorials, and it seems strait forward enough, so here is my order of events for my scriptl;
Get Current Webpage from Safari
Get Image URLs from Webpage [linked from these webpages]
Download URLs [Downloads]
However when I run this script it returns the get current webpage quickly but then hangs on Get Image URLs from webpage either never passes or takes 700+ seconds to move to the next step.
The times it did pass to the next step it worked 98% still missed images occasionaly.
After I figure out how to fix this issue, I am looking for a way to make it create a new folder, and name it according to the sub directory of the webpage, for example:
http:\\www.mypictures.com\Birthday\01.JPG
http:\\www.mypictures.com\Birthday\02.JPG
would create folder Birthday, and save images 1 and 2
Then in the future I want to download another set such as;
http:\\www.mypictures.com\MothersDay\01.JPG
http:\\www.mypictures.com\MothersDay\02.JPG
As these are both named 01.JPG the sets would overwrite, or add strange numbers and not divide by set by default;
So I need this script to create folders based on Directory (portion of url) In my example it would be MothersDay, and Birthday folders.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
MikeI should add, it has simply frozen and stopped responding about 95% of the 20 times or so I have run it. I have tried rebooting (not sure if that helps on Mac, I'm still new to the OS been a windows user for a long time but so far I love my Mac).

How get browser URL from portlet JSR-168?
I use Oracle Portal. And I have problem.
How get browser URL from portlet JSR-168?Normaly it is
http://server:port/portletContextRoot
Did you create the portlet with JDeveloper? When you dpeloy the portlet to your application server, JDeveloper should output the URL of the portlet test page in the deployment output feedback. -
I'm sure this has been covered and that the solution is
simple, but I am at a loss.
I cannot get a URL to open from my SWF file using either a
click box or button, although it works perfectly fine when I
publish to an EXE.
Is there an internet security option that would affect this?
I have no problem opening other movies or files.
This is most frustrating. Any suggestions?Hi tykebrahe
What are the
exact steps you are following? In addition to knowing about
them, what is the
exact URL you are typing?
It's been my experience that this works just fine from either
.SWF output or .EXE output. But I'm hopeful that knowing the
answers to my questions may help you to resolve the issue.
Cheers... Rick -
How to get current URL from Internet Explorer ?
Hi,
I have design an add-on for IE and I'm
trying to get URL from IE which is currently opened that is which is currently user sees. Is there any way to get it? I want to store that address in label and use it for something useful. Is it possible with C# ?
I have did the following code to get current URL but it showing last opened URL instead of current URL which is user see
using SHDocVw;
SHDocVw.ShellWindows shellWindows = new SHDocVw.ShellWindows();
string filename;
foreach (SHDocVw.InternetExplorer ie in shellWindows)
filename = Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(ie.FullName).ToLower();
if (filename.Equals("iexplore"))
label1.Text=ie.LocationURL;
label1.Text = ie.LocationName;
and I have tried this one also
foreach (InternetExplorer ie innew ShellWindows())
label1.Text = ie.LocationURL.ToString();
label2.Text = ie.LocationName.ToString();
Please give me any suggestion or code to solve this problem.
Thanks.
PriyankaYou already got addon running in the active ie instance. You just need to catch the WindowStateChanged event in every instance so you can write down the last event with OLECMDIDF_WINDOWSTATE_USERVISIBLE somewhere. When you need the active IE instance, just
pull from your save.
Note an IE tab may crash and take your addon with it. It is better to start a broker process to store your global data.

How do I get a url from quicktime?
I'm using iWeb to host my podcast. http://web.me.com/krushjudgement/Site/Giant-SizePodcast/Giant-SizePodcast.html
I'd like to have people visit my blogspot for updates. http://giantsizepodcast.blogspot.com/
Right now I'm using podtrac to stream, but I realized it might be easier just to stream the quicktime versions from my iWeb. I'd like to embed the episodes in quicktime format right onto my blog posts. I've found embed codes, but I don't know how to get the proper urls from iWeb.
Any ideas?Are you trying to retrieve the material?
If so, open the page in Firefox-->Firefox Menu-->File-->Save Page As-->Save As: Web Page Complete...save to a folder. Firefox will download the html, javascript, css, images and the mp3 audio.
It took a few minutes for the page to load and another minute or two to download... And I'm on a very fast connection. I was getting around 5-6 MBs during the download.
The mp3 is 5 levels above the html. I have no idea what level or folder the video is at...

Is it possible to get the URL from which user came to Apex Application?
Hi,
I have 1 web site which is created by Apex. And I have to create similar sites with slight differences. For example, even though the contents are almost same, each telephone # have to be modified.
So, if possible, I want to use only 1 web site and depending on the URL from which user came, change some information on the page. Is it possible?
And if it is possible, what if the user set Apex URL as favorite and visit it after some days?Thank you Scott,
This is the one.
But I have another issue.
If a user comes to our page from their link directly, I can identify where he come from. But if he added our site to Bookmark and comes to our site through the link, is it possible to identify his original route?
If it is impossible, I will create other Apex Application and put each URL to the link in order to catch where the user is from. -
Web.xml - can't get the url from xml file..
Hi all,
Im a beginner @ jsp =)
My question is as follow..I cant get base from the web.xml file.
This is a shorten version of my web.xml..
<web-app>
<welcome-file-list>
<welcome-file>Default.jsp</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>
<!-- Define the controller servlet -->
<servlet>
<servlet-name>ControllerServlet</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>ControllerServlet</servlet-class>
<!-- Define initial parameters that will be loaded into
the ServletContext object in the controller servlet -->
<init-param>
<param-name>base</param-name>
<param-value>http://localhost:8080/burnaby/ControllerServlet</param-value>
</init-param>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>ControllerServlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/ControllerServlet</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
</web-app>
And my jsp file:
<%
String base = (String) application.getAttribute("base");
String imageUrl = (String) application.getAttribute("imageUrl");
%>
<table width="740" cellpading="0" height="75" cellspacing="0" border="0">
<tr>
<td align="left" bgcolor="#F6F6F6">
<font face="Verdana" size="3">Sky's E-mall!</font>
</td>
<td align="right" bgcolor="#F6F6F6">
<a href="<%=base%>?action=displayShoppingCart"><img border="0" src="<%=(imageUrl + "cart.gif" )%>"></a>

</td>
</tr>
</table>
I have written it of a book im reading and i cant get it to work. Base and imageUrl always become null.
thank you
/RobertI'm a little new to JSPs and servlets too, but I'll give this one a shot. I think since your variables like 'base' are servlet initial parameters, they don't get initialized until you actually call the servlet ( I'm not 100% on this, though). Try calling the servlet and having it forward the response back to your original JSP and see if you get values then.

Assistance unloading flv's from swf's imported to main stage
I have my main.fla which imports external swfs that contain flv's. I have three buttons that navigate the main timeline to frames 2-4. At frames 2-4 an external swf gets loaded into an empty movie clip via this code. Each loaded swf acts like a menu with some nice vidoes loading in the background.
The problem i found is the flvs continue to play as i navigate between menus, which makes the main swf/fla slow down becuase the pc is working harder to deliver all the stuff running in the background. I've added this code to frame 1 of my empty movie clip that is in my library that has the instance name 'menu1'
I keep getting the error "Access of undefines property mc1"
I have the source files for my site here if you can take a look and see what I'm doing wrong. I have removed this code so i don't get the error and have tried other things to no avial.
http://www.coldbloodedsovereignty.com/site.zip
var loader:Loader = new Loader();
addChild(loader);
loader.load(new URLRequest(MovieClip(this.parent).src));
var src:String="external.swf";
menu1.addEventListener(Event.REMOVED_FROM_STAGE,f);
function f(e:Event):void{
MovieClip(e.target).loader.unloadAndStop();consider the files gifts to those willing to help, should they choose to use them for their own. oops, yes the files were created in cs5.
I will try your suggestions tonight. Thank you. -

You have to improve your design. Even if you can find the Coldfusion code, your design will still fall short in 2 ways.
First, it is unreliable, because you're depending on some arbitrary site to be available and up to speed. Secondly, it is aesthetically wrong to be collecting pictures, especially large numbers of them, dynamically from someone else's site. Think of their copyright and bandwidth.
Fortunately, there are simple solutions. First, identify, by eye, the web pages containing the pictures you're interested in. Ask for permission from the owner.
You could indeed use Coldfusion's cfhttp or any other script to download the JPGs, PNGs, and so on. But then, why waste your time re-inventing the wheel? It is infinitely better to use a web crawler !
With most crawlers, you only have to supply the URL of the site, and the file extensions it has to grab (in your case, jpg, png, bmp, and so on).
One click on the button, and you have them reeling in. Automatically. Some crawlers are considerate enough to enable you to adjust the download bandwidth. (We can learn from a million years evolution wisdom. The vampire bat is known to inject a painkiller before sucking!).
Now that you've downloaded the images to your site, the links you display to your users are all yours. You may choose to resize some of the images, display them as you wish, and the issues of reliability and bandwidth are now up to you. -
Get browser url from 11g form?
Is there any function to get the current url of the browser that the 11g form applet is running in?
Or at least the server:port part?
ThanksIn version 11 you can use javascript to extract the browser url. For example:
Declare
JS_in varchar2(32767);
rtn varchar2(1024);
Begin
-- JS_in is the javascript funtion you want to call.
JS_in := 'location.href';
rtn := WEB.JAVASCRIPT_EVAL_FUNCTION (JS_in);
-- "rtn" should contain the complete URL as seen in the browser address bar.
-- Do something with rtn.
End; -

Thank you.not with Java ... and only if IE actually provides an API that lets you get it. And only if you can get a reference to the IE process.
It's really more an IE question, not Java.
