Get InitialContext for P4-connection via Http tunneling

Hi,
I have to use an Http tunnel to access my integration J2EE engine.
Now, I want to create a P4-connection. It doesn't work. No InitialContext will be returned.
I can open the VisualAdmin on the http tunneling port. But in the connection GUI I can select 'Http tunneling' as connection type. Is there any setting, i.e. property, for the InitialContext to signal that Http tunneling should be used ?
Regards,
Astrid

Hi Astrid,
yes, you need ot use TransportLayerQueue property of the InitialContext to specify that you need Http Tunneling as the transport layer. See <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c8/5bc0417951cf17e10000000a155106/frameset.htm">this</a> page for description.
Did you use that already?

Ivo

Does anyone know of way to speed up WL JMS publishing via http-tunneling?
We have a server that is publishing messages to JMS rather frequently (1/200 millisecs). We then
have several applications and applets subscribed for this topic. The applications work great and get
all of the messages quite fast (using t3 protocol).
However, the applet, running on the other side of a firewall, and connected to the server over a 28k
modem, receives the updates rather slowly since the messages need tunneled through http. In fact, so
many updates are being published that the applet continually falls behind. If we stopped the updates
or slowed down the updates, the applet would eventually catch up and reflect the latest message.
The sessions in the applet were created using AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE. I've since changed them to use
CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE and allow for 15 seconds of messages to be processed before acknowledging. This
improved the speed but the applet still falls behind to some degree. When the publishing slows down,
the applet now at least catches up.
As a side note, does anyone know of a way to view the contents of the JMS queue?
    Thanx,
    jsh

Which web server are you using?
Both iWS6.0 SP2 or iWS Fast-track 4.1 works with iMQ.
But earler versions of iWS6.0 do not and we have no
    control of that.

  • ORA Connect via SSH Tunnel on Windows failed! LINUX works ...

    Hello again,
i tried to establish a Oracle Client Connection via SSH Tunnel on WinXP Pro.
    1. Opened SSH-Tunnel Connection with plink (putty)
    TUNNEL: 10.5.1.111:1521 => localhost:1521
(plink works fine with telnet, MySQL Client and other stuff)
    2. Connected with Oracle Client on Tunnel END => Localhost, Port 1521
    3. WIth ORA8i i got: Paket Error, With ORA10g i get: TNS: no listener
plink works fine, so i dont think the problem is located there.
i tried, tnsnames.ora, easyconnect and TNS-Less. So i guess, its not related to the connection method.
i tried the same on LINUX ... ssh tunnel and sqlplus connect ... IT WORKS !

This is how the problem occurs:
    1. Mount the CIFS share - no problems
    2. Use the share - no problems
    3. If the network connection drops you get a message that the CIFS volume has disappeared and you are asked to unmount it. When you do that you get a kernel panic. You can force the problem to happen by turning of WiFi.
So it is OES2 but which version (SP1, SP2, or SP3)? Interesting as I'd only heard of this with NetWare 6.5.
Do you (and anyone else experiencing this issue in this thread) know if this has recently started happening, perhaps after the latest November 2011 Scheduled Maintenance patches were installed?
I'll hopefully be able to do some testing tomorrow but in the meantime I've asked Novell ...

Please tell me which of the below methods i can use:
    1. By directly connecting to the BO system URL from the browser (is it possible?)
    2. By using VPN connection

  • Can you use Time Capsule as a print server for printers connected via Ethernet or wirelessly?

Can you use Time Capsule as a print server for printers connected via Ethernet or wirelessly?
I know that it works marvelous for printers connected via USB, but I'd like to know if you can use it as a more general print server.

No, you can't, but what do you expect to gain by doing so?
The main advantage of the print server is to provide multi-user network access to a printer that typically only supports a single connection. Since, by definition, your printer already has a network connection and can be used by multiple users.

  • AnyConnect on Apple iOS - VPN-Connect via HTTP-Proxy

    Hi,
is it possible, that the AnyConnect-Client for Apple iOS (i.e. iPAD) automatically uses the configured HTTP-Proxy in the WLAN properties for the establishment of the VPN-Connection (via SSL/TLS)?
I've tested it, but it does not work. In the documentation is stated, that VPN establishment via HTTP-Proxy works only in Windows (AnyConnect uses the IE Proxy settings to connect to the ASA for VPN establishment).

@AMN -- I'm sort of in your camp in that I don't think I should have to remove that line (which I've not been able to test yet, by the way). It's possible removing the line might bypass the issue since the statement will never get issued in the first place, but I will know there is some sort of issue between HTTP and HTTPS that is throwing this error.
    To answer your questions:
    1. The portal database (IASDB) returns:
    PARAMETER VALUE
    NLS_LANGUAGE AMERICAN
    NLS_TERRITORY AMERICA
    NLS_CHARACTERSET WE8ISO8859P1
    2. What do you mean by "pls/hes"?
3b. Which type of OAS? Can you clarify this question? OAS 10g (which means IASDB is version 9i). We run Apache using Webcache. This OAS serves up a custom application written largely in Forms and PL/SQL. Hmmm, maybe that's not what you mean by this question , though...
3a. Explain our SSL configuration -- I'll try. I configfured this 4 to 5 years ago and haven't changed it at all other than to update the Oracle Wallet certificates every year or two. We have a single physical server that hosts our infrsastructure and mid-tier components and nothing more. As mentioned, Apache is our webserver and we run Oracle's Webcache. The twist in our configuration (and probably the source of this issue we are having is somewhere in this twist) is that we use one physical server and one Apache web server to serve up both HTTP and HTTPS using a virtual host within Apache and then we deifned multiple sites and origin servers with several redirects on various ports so we can handle SSL and non-SSL connections depending on whether they come to us externally (inTERnet) or internally (inTRAnet).
Webcache sites (hes2 is the server name):
    Site Origin Server
    hes2:7778 hes2:7779
    www.OurWebSite.com:80 hes2:8000
    hes2:80 hes2:7779
    sso.OurWebSite.com:80 hes2:7777
    www.OurWebSite.com:443 hes2:4444
    Webcache origin servers:
    hes2:7777 HTTP
    hes2:7779 HTTP
    hes2:8000 HTTP
    www.OurWebSite.com:4444 HTTPS
    Webcache listen ports:
443 HTTPS -- has Oracle wallet defined for it
    7778 HTTP
    80 HTTP
Navigating to http://www.OurWebSite.com will redirect to hes2:8000, which is our virtual server (configuration below). Navigating to https://www.OurWebSite.com will redirect to hes2:4444.
There is probably a little more I need to provide to answer the "SSL configuration" question, but I think that is enough for now as this is already a long response -- my apologies for that.

  • Mac OS 10.5 Bonjour Unable to find printer driver for P1606dn connected via wired network.

I have been trying to connect my HP Laserjet Pro P1606dn to my PowerMac G5 running Mac OS 10.5.8.  I connected the priner to my LAN via Ethernet cables and NetGear 8-port switch.  I then successfully installed the printer driver from the supplied CD on the Mac and went to System Preferences / Print & Fax to add the printer to the list of connected printers.  Hit the "+" button.  The HP P106dn was listed in the table (Kind = Bonjour).
I selected this entry in the table, and the dialog box immediately went into action: the "Print Using" pullodwn listed the greyed out message "Please select a driver or printer model" and a spinning wheel labeled "Searching for new drivers" appeared below it.  The dialog box searches for but never finds the printer driver (I waited 20 minutes with no success).  I have installed other HP printers this way on this machine without any problem, e.g., HP Color Laserjet 2605dn.  Why is this method not working with this printer?
I was able to connect this printer with other (Intel) Macs in my household via this LAN arrangement.  Is the printer driver for Intel-only Macs?
I disconnecting the printer from the LAN and connected it directly to my Mac with a USB cable.  Followed the same process, and I was able to connect to this printer.  Successfully printed a document page.  While this provides me with a work-around for the G5 Mac, I need to share this printer with the other Macs in my household.
I went to the HP download site and downloaded the latest driver for this printer, re-installed the printer driver on the Mac, and repeated the steps for the LAN arrangement (above) to complete the connection via the Print & Fax dialog.  The result was the same: spinning wheel searching for a printer driver that it cannot find.
I do not know what else to do, or why this installation will not work.  I would appreciate it very much if anyone could offer an explanation for this or some suggestions as to what else can be done?
    Ed
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I apologize for the delay in responding to you.  I was on the road all day yesterday.
OK.  I switched the printer's Ethernet cable to a Linksys Switch (Model EZX S55W) that's part of this local network.  That did not work.  I swapped out the cable for one that I know works.  Still no change.  I switched the printer's Ethernet cable directly to a port on the router.  No change.  I even swapped cables here, too, but no success.
As I was doing all this, I was wondering: When I select the HP P1606dn printer in the Print and Fax "Add" dialog box, (see the image below) and the Print Using pulldown menu displays "Please select a driver or printer model" and the message "Searching for new drivers" appears under it (with the spinning wheel), why is it that the Ethernet connection to printer is critical to "finding" a new (printer) driver?
Isn't the utility searching through my system and libraries looking for a printer driver app for the printer that I identified/selected in the dialog box?
After all, if the dialog box lists the printer among those to choose from, hasn't the utility already discovered the printer via the Ethernet connection?

  • Login fails for laptops connecting via AirPort

    Good afternoon.
We have a problem with Macbooks. When users try logging on to our server via our AirPort network, the login screen 'shakes' and rejects them. however, connected via Ethernet there is no problem.
I have a one-time fix. If I logon as the administrator, and log straight out, the user can logon just once. Subsequent logons fail.
The MacBooks have 10.4.8 and our server 10.4.8 server. Our collection of G3 and G4 iBooks are unaffected.
    I'd appreciate any suggestions please.

    Hi. Thanks for your reply.
No, network accounts were not available via AirPort. However, I was sure it was a consequence of applying Security Update 2006-007. On Apple Suppport's Macbook Discussion I found a thread relating to the problems this update has caused, including 'hosing' AirPort. suggestions such as zapping the PRAM and resetting the PMU didn't work.
However, I'd missed an Intel update 'AirPortExtremeUpdate2007-001'. Once applied, the problem was solved.
    Thanks again.

    Hi Steve,
You can bring the GRC framework to a state equivalent to a raw install by following options:
Option 1.) You should have a base-line backup before GRC installation. If so then apply that base-lin backup and deploy GRC components. If there is no base-lin backup, then
Option 2.) Uninstall and re-install J2EE and then follow up with rest of the installation process. If you don't want to go through re-install process, then
    **Correction to Option 3**
Option3.) SAP is in process of creating a SAP Note for Delete script, Instead of delivering Delete Script script via OSS message.  Will update you as soon as the Note gets released.

  • Trying to get assistance for a connection problem ...

First, let's get this straight. No, restarting the router has no effect on the connection (as the 'technical' help desk advised me 3 times in a row).
Please see previous thread for when the problems started occuring:
    http://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity/Service-has-been-great-for-a-week-ping-loss-after-big-disconn...
Since then I have been in pretty much regular contact with someone from this forum called Stuart. I must commend his commitment to trying to solve the problem, including one engineer visit a few months ago which I wasn't charged for, but still the problem persists.
Tonight the line is atrocious, unusable.
tracert to one of the new FFXIV servers: http://i.imgur.com/Wx3sWgp.png (packet loss exhibited on hop 3 and 4 a few minutes after i uploaded the screenshot)
    TBB to my IP: http://i.imgur.com/rlilqpr.png
The random disconnects, the packet loss, the random latency... it's disgraceful. BT have had enough time to sort this out (I reported it in April), and still I'm being charged full price for this line. The problem doesn't appear to be with the connection to my house specifically, but anything past the local exchange. Who can I speak to so I can get some sort of a refund on this...I'm well within my rights to terminate the contract with this kind of service, and I'm seriously considering doing so.

I would suggest you continue with mod help as they are only bt employees on the forum and from your posts you need bt assistance
