Get JpdProxyException clustered on unix; how to turn on log4j debug?
We're using 8.1SP2.
We have a test case involving calling a JPD from an EJB through a JpdProxy. it works fine on our Windows laptops.
Our "test" environment uses an Admin server running on a Windows box, and a managed server on a Solaris box. Our test URL is going directly to the managed server, not to a "frontend" for the cluster.
When we run our test in the test environment, we get a "JpdProxyException", with no message(!). From what I can see, it seems like it would be useful to turn up our log4j debugging on the managed server.
The problem is, I can't figure out how to do that properly. I've been able to turn up the log4j debug on the admin server, but nothing I've tried has successfully created a "workshop_debug.log" file anywhere. I've searched the entire Solaris box for it, and the Windows box for good measure. I found the one on the Windows box, associated with the admin server, apparently. It only had messages that I would expect to see on the admin server, like remote deployment messages.
I was pointed to the weblogic81/common/lib/workshopLogCfg.xml file, and we tried copying the "workshopLogCfgVerbose.xml" to "workshopLogCfg.xml". We did this on both the admin server and managed server.
I noticed that sending "verbose" as a command-line argument to the "start" script is supposed to do essentially the same thing, but I was never able to figure out exactly how the admin server starts the managed server through the NodeManager. I have a feeling it doesn't execute those scripts to do it.
We have a support call open for this, but it's getting nowhere.

Thanks for the quick response. I have actually done that as well but it seems to be overridden somewhere within OWB.
The only other suggestion I had was to change the tablespaces from uniform extents to system managed because the last extent would get trimmed.
I haven't been able to prove whether this works for all the extents being generated or just the last one.
I'm going to try it on one of the larger tablespaces very soon as we're going to Production with this puppy in a few weeks.

Apple ID's are not device specific, so when you changed it on the iPad 2 it changed it on the iPhone 4 as well, since it's the same account still. What you need to do is create a second Apple ID (so you'll have two accounts, one for iPhone 4 and a seperate one for iPad 2).
To create a new Apple ID on your iPad 2:
1) Go into Settings > Store.
2) If you are already signed in, tap your Apple ID on the screen and you will be given a few options, one of which is to sign out of your account.
3) After you sign out, now click the "Sign in" button.
4) Tap "Create New Apple ID" and follow the instructions on-screen. -

This is very easy to resolve in 3 easy steps. goto
1. settings
2. general
3. where it says 'Use Side switch to' you will see two choices
a) Lock rotation
b) Mute
Mute will be ticked if you are not getting a ringtone when someone calls you on Facetime
Simply Click on 'Lock Rotation'
Lock Rotation will now be ticked
Mute will be unticked.
Facetime calls will now ring your iPad2 -

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS. -

It's all or nothing. You can to selectively get notifications for one account and not the others. As for g-mail, how do you have it set up? If it's not set to poll automatically, or set up as push (as an Exchange account), then you won't be notified until you maually open the mail client and pull it down.
